Kicking off our Black History Month celebration, actress turned director, writer, (and mother), Schele Williams knows the value of being a storyteller, how it is our obligation to the art form itself that mandates diversity and inclusion. She shares her journey through different roles in the theater industry, the racism and misogyny she has faced, and her commitment to always look for who is NOT in the room and figure out how to get them there. This episode with Schele is required listening before Broadway reopens its doors, before we go back to our home that has sat empty for so long and rebuild it with a new framework that has room for everyone.
