Telling the story of New York bachelorette Bobbie, the classic musical includes the songs “You Could Drive a Person Crazy,” “The Ladies Who Lunch,” and “Being Alive.” The cast also features Tony winner Katrina Lenk as Bobbie, two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone as Joanne, Matt Doyle as Jamie, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Tony nominee Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Tony nominee Sieber as Harry, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Rashidra Scott as Susan, Bobby Conte as P.J., and Manu Narayan as Theo.

The Music Man, which features a book, music, and lyrics by Willson, tells the story of what happens when con artist Harold Hill arrives in River City and falls in love with the straight-laced librarian, Marian. It first opened on Broadway December 19, 1957, at the Majestic Theatre. A 2000 revival played the Neil Simon Theatre.
The revival features choreography by Carlyle, sets and costumes by Santo Loquasto, sound design by Scott Lehrer, lighting by Brian MacDevitt, vocal and dance arrangements by David Chase, orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, and music direction by Patrick Vaccariello.

The cast of Ana Nogueira’s Which Way to the Stage recently stopped by the Playbill Studio for an episode of Playbill: The Game Show.

MCC Theater's world premiere of Which Way to the Stage began previews April 14 at Off-Broadway's Newman Mills Theater with opening May 10. It runs until May 22.
Directed by Mike Donahue, the cast includes Goldberg (Significant Other), Jenkins (Unnatural Acts), Todd (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Veintimilla (The Baker and the Beauty).
The play takes audiences back to 2015 and follows two Broadway fans, Jeff and Judy, waiting outside If/Then's stage door. It is teased that "the experience they have while they wait will change the course of their decades-long friendship forever."
Which Way to the Stage features scenic design by Adam Rigg (On Sugarland), costume design by Enver Chakartash (English), lighting design by Mextly Couzin (Tambo and Bones) and Jen Schriever (Grand Horizons), and sound design by Sinan Refik Zafar (What the Constitution Means to Me). The creative team also includes vocal supervisor Liz Caplan, choreographer Paul McGill, and hair, wig, and makeup designer Domino Couture. Alex H. Hajjar is the production stage manager.

Broadway Bares, the modern-day burlesque spectacular produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will return to live performances with a 30th anniversary celebration, Broadway Bares: XXX, June 26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom at 9:30 PM and midnight.
Cast members of this year’s show, including Christine Sienicki, Jaquez André Sims, and Brandon Stonestreet, joined special guest host Christopher Sieber (Company) in a special episode of Playbill: The Game Show. This time around, contestants don’t only earn points for correct answers, they have to remove clothing if they answer incorrectly. Watch this sizzling episode above.
Laya Barak, who piloted the last live edition, Broadway Bares: Take Off in 2019, again directs the upcoming benefit with associate direction by Jonathan Lee. Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, who created the fundraiser, and Nick Kenkel, a longtime Bares director and performer, continue as executive producers.
Broadway Bares was created in 1992 by Mitchell, then a Broadway dancer, as a way to raise awareness and money for those living with HIV/AIDS. In Broadway Bares’ first year, Mitchell and six of his friends danced atop a New York City bar and raised $8,000 for the cause. Because of the pandemic, the last two editions of Broadway Bares were virtual presentations. Since 1988, Broadway Bares has raised more than $21 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

McClure took over the role of Seymour Krelborn in Off-Broadway's Little Shop July 12. Two-time Tony nominee McClure is best known for his roles in Mrs. Doubtfire and Chaplin. He has also appeared on Broadway in I'm Not Rappaport, Avenue Q, Honeymoon in Vegas, Something Rotten!, Noises Off, and Beetlejuice.
He joined a cast that includes Tammy Blanchard as Audrey, Tony winner Christian Borle as Orin Scrivello, Stuart Zagnit as Mushnik, Harrington as The Voice of Audrey II, White as Ronnette, Cristina Raé as Crystal, Khadija Sankoh as Chiffon, and Eric Wright, Teddy Yudain, Josh Daniel, Michael Iannucci, Jana Djenne Jackson, and Chelsea Turbin.
Lena Hall will join the cast as Audrey beginning September 6. The Hedwig and the Angry Inch Tony winner will succeed original cast member Blanchard, whose final performance is set for September 4.
The revival, directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, opened in October 2019. The creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.
General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Ryan Gohsman.

Titanique, which opened its return New York engagement June 23 at Off-Broadway's The Asylum Theatre, continues through September 25.
The cast features Mindelle as Céline Dion, Rousouli as Jack, Frankie Grande as Victor Garber, Kathy Deitch as Molly Brown, Duncan as Ruth, Alex Ellis as Rose, Riddle as Cal, and Jaye Alexander as The Iceberg. The ensemble includes Courtney Bassett, Donnie Hammond, and Dimitri Moise.
Céline Dion commandeers a tour group at the Titanic museum, telling the tour guests her eccentric take on the famous love story of Jack and Rose. Through the fictionalized version of the singer, the irreverent show features popular songs from Dion's catalog, including "My Heart Will Go On," "All By Myself," and "To Love You More" to explain what really happened to the lovers. Titanique was co-written by Mindelle, Rousouli, and Tye Blue.
Blue directs the production, which features music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Nicholas Connell. They are joined on the creative team by Clarissa Marie Ligon as production stage manager, Rebecca Guskin as assistant stage manager, Ellenore Scott as choreographer, and Eva Price as producer. Casting is by The Telsey Office's Rachel Hoffman and Henry Russell Bergstein.
The show premiered in Los Angeles in 2017 before transferring to New York City's The Green Room 42. The show also had a virtual concert performance live streamed from Le Poisson Rouge during the shutdown.

The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards, Kinky Boots features a Tony-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell. Mitchell again directs and choreographs the Off-Broadway production.
Callum Francis, who starred in the West End production at London's Adelphi and subsequently on Broadway and in Australia, again steps into the role of Lola. Joining him at Stage 42 are Douglas as Charlie Price, Hope as Lauren, Stoute as Nicola, Steele as Don, and Marcus Neville as George.
The ensemble includes Devin Bowles, Bella Coppola, Nick Drake, Ian Gallagher Fitzgerald, Ryan Halsaver, Matthew Michael Janisse, Lindsay Joan, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Marty Lauter, Tommy Martinez, Ryah Nixon, Lucas Pastrana, Liz Pearce, Ricky Shroeder, David J. Socolar, Ebrin R. Stanley, Tarion Strong, Ernest T. Williams, and Maria Wirries.

The fall leg of Disney Princess: The Concert's U.S. tour launches October 20 in McAllen, Texas. Before hitting the road, co-stars Christy Altomare, Adam J. Levy, and Anneliese van der Pol, as well as music director Benjamin Rauhala stopped by the Playbill Studio to play Playbill: The Game Show.

The cast of the tour includes Altomare (Anastasia), Sarah Uriarte Berry (Beauty and the Beast), Isabelle McCalla (The Prom), and Syndee Winters (The Lion King). Van der Pol will replace Uriarte Berry beginning November 11. Music director Rauhala and Levy (Moulin Rouge) will also join the featured quartet for the entire fall leg.
The concert, based on the Broadway Princess Party series, features more than two dozen favorite Disney tunes, including “Part of Your World,” “Let It Go,” “A Whole New World,” “Colors of the Wind,” and “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” In addition, the quartet will share behind-the-scenes stories from their time on the stage and screen.
