Chad Beguelin

Chad Beguelin, a four-time Tony-nominated playwright and lyricist, has left his mark on the world of musical theatre. Born in 1969 and hailing from Centralia, Illinois, Beguelin is perhaps best known for his collaborations with composer Matthew Sklar. Together, they brought the hilarious The Wedding Singer and the heartwarming Elf to life, with Beguelin penning the lyrics for both shows. His talents extend beyond lyrics, however, as he also wrote the book for Disney's beloved Aladdin, receiving Tony nominations for both the book and score. Beguelin's most recent success, The Prom, earned him another Tony nomination, this time for co-writing the book and lyrics.
