ilipina singer and actress Lea Salonga is one of the most celebrated Broadway performers of all time. She is best known for her roles in musicals such as Here Lies Love, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, and Aladdin.

Salonga was born in Manila, Philippines, in 1971. She began her career as a child performer, appearing in television shows and commercials. In 1989, she landed the role of Kim in the West End production of Miss Saigon, a role that would make her a star. She won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance.

Salonga is also a successful recording artist. She has released several albums, including Lea Salonga (1988), Lea Salonga Live (1993), and Smile (2003). She has won several awards for her music, including the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the cast recording of Miss Saigon.
