Born and raised in the South, Glover honed her talent singing in church choirs before pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre at Florida State University.

Glover's Broadway debut came in the iconic musical The Color Purple, where she portrayed both Celie and Nettie. Her breakout role arrived in the electrifying musical Memphis, where she originated the role of Felicia Farrell. This captivating performance earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical, solidifying her status as a rising star. Glover has since graced numerous stages, including portraying Fantine in the revival of Les Misérables and Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago production of the megahit Hamilton. Her diverse career extends to film and television, with appearances in shows like Inventing Anna and The Blacklist.
