Born in 1990, Alex's artistic spirit bloomed early, with rock bands in New Jersey and high school roles like Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast. Wagner College honed his craft, and by 2013, he was belting his way through the ensemble of American Idiot on tour.
In 2015, he brought the anguished Moritz to life in the Deaf West revival of Spring Awakening, his voice a raw, unforgettable force. This was just the beginning. In 2017, the world fell in love with Connor Murphy in Dear Evan Hansen. Boniello's portrayal of the troubled teen, grappling with grief and mental illness, was emotionally charged and critically acclaimed. He even received a Tony Award as a producer for Hadestown, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the theater.
