Samantha Omari-Cendejas was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. She is currently a senior at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a B.A. in Theatre and Dance with minors in Arts Management & Administration, as well as in Mexican American & Latina/o Studies. During her time at UT Austin, she has participated and worked on various projects, co-produced a campus theatre organization, and is currently working on her undergraduate thesis, which focuses on policy and equity of BIPOC representation and inclusion within University theatre administration.
For the “what are you planning to do after graduation” question, she has a plan, but let’s see what happens. Continuing education and theatre is in the picture for sure. She is immensely grateful for the opportunity to intern for BPN and collaborate with her fellow interns on Young, Scrappy, and Hungry.
