Episode 1: "Before the prom, at home, Jane is almost ready to shine, no matter how cheap her dress looks or what happened to her at last year’s dance. If only her date, Johnny – who arrives in his dad’s rusty pickup truck, and who is definitely not hung up on being poor – would put his tux on.
Ep2 - Jendrix & Cory: "Blaze a Path Through My Universe"
"In a hidden school courtyard, Jendrix rushes out of the prom to get some fresh air. And to hide from the guy who was dancing too close, new-kid-at-school Cory. Yet Jendrix is also kinda happy Cory followed them out here…but what does Cory want?
Ep3 - Jendri, Chass, & Zeke: "The Thing About Chastity"
In the coat check room, 8-months-pregnant Chass needs a moment. Her date – Jendrix – ran out on her but he’s back now that he’s needed. Which he most surely is, as Chass reels off the list of indignities she’s suffered tonight. But who is hiding in the coatroom with her?
Ep4 - Kyle & Amanda: "One Plus One...Plus One?"
"On the roof of the school, Kyle – smart kid, almost valedictorian – exchanges messages with one, two, three girls on his phone. What a jerk! Or does he have an addiction? Trouble deepens when his girlfriend Amanda – who actually is valedictorian – arrives with smuggled champagne and Dixie cups.
Ep5 - Kyle & Noah: "Secrets of the Locker Room"
"In the empty boy’s locker room, Kyle is getting bandaged up by best friend Noah. Kyle has probably not broken his legs from his fall from the roof. At least that’s what Noah thinks – and he’s gonna be a nurse, so he should know.
Ep6 - Amanda & Wanda: "The Monster at the End of the Book"
In the girls’ room, Amanda wrestles with the revelation that Kyle has been cheating on her. But when Wanda enters, Amanda is forced to reckon with some parts of herself she’d rather not address. Wanda is strong, powerful, and living her best lesbian life.
Ep7 - Seth & Madison: "The Normal Amazing"
Under the food table in the gym, Seth is hiding from a girl he’s obsessed with. Not his date (best friend Wanda) but a mysterious girl sitting alone in the bleachers.
Ep8 - Cory, Katrina, Jendrix & Jane: "The Big Dive"
In the bleachers of the gym, as the prom crescendos, the mysterious girl Seth was looking at has a name: Katrina. She also has a brother – Cory – who is surprised to see her since she’d said she wasn’t coming. She sits dressed in black. Cause she’s over this prom.
Ep 9 - Jane & Johnny: "Remember The Moment"
"Remember the Moment"... In front of the school again… but now everything is different. Jane recovers from fainting and Johnny is thrilled that a “poor kid in a Walmart Dress” won Prom Queen.
