Samuel Peter Acosta Larsen is an American actor and singer best known for winning the first season of the reality competition The Glee Project. His victory on the Oxygen network show led to a recurring role as Joe Hart on the popular Fox series Glee, where his character was a formerly homeschooled Christian with dreadlocks. He appeared in 23 episodes of the hit show across seasons three, four, and six.
Larsen continued his acting and music career after Glee. In 2018, he played Zed Evans in the film After, based on Anna Todd's novel, and reprised the role in the 2020 sequel, After We Collided. He has also appeared in films including Beautiful Disaster (2023) and Shoulder Dance (2023). A multi-instrumentalist, Larsen has released solo music, including his debut EP Vices in 2014, and has been a member of bands such as Bridges I Burn and NEXT CItY.
