Sherie Rene Scott is a multi-talented force in the entertainment industry, recognized as an actor, singer, writer, and producer. Throughout her career, she's graced both Broadway and off-Broadway stages, captivating audiences in numerous plays and musicals. Her powerful voice can also be heard on solo albums and Grammy Award-winning cast recordings. Scott has also dabbled in film and television.

Beyond performing, Scott's entrepreneurial spirit shone through with the founding of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records, the first independent Broadway record label. The label garnered multiple Grammy Awards and a Drama Desk Award for its dedication to preserving musical theater through cast recordings.

Scott's accolades include Obie and Lortel awards, and a staggering three Tony Award nominations. Some of her notable stage credits include Rent, Aida, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Landscape of the Body (which brought her Obie and Lortel wins), The Last Five Years, Everyday Rapture (co-authored by Scott and Tony-nominated), and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. She's also a writer in residence at Second Stage Theater and continues to reside in New York City.
