[0:00] Madelyn Murphy: Welcome back to Westgate! The Burning Elf Festival has moved into the parking lot, but that won't stop our three newest Goblins from trying to find their friend a sensible turtle neck.

[0:30] Diego F. Salinas: Er...the neck of a turtle?

[0:32] Alex Stompoly: Eh. They'll figure it out.

[4:54] Madelyn Murphy: So, what do you think about the festival?

[5:22] Diego F. Salinas: I think it’s a great opportunity for us to explore.

[5:50] Alex Stompoly: Yeah, and maybe we can find that turtle neck!

[6:18] Madelyn Murphy: I mean, who doesn’t love a good turtle neck?

[6:42] Diego F. Salinas: Especially if it’s for a friend.

[7:08] Alex Stompoly: Right? It’s all about the friendship.

[7:37] Madelyn Murphy: And the adventure!

[8:03] Diego F. Salinas: Let’s not forget the raving mascots.

[8:27] Alex Stompoly: Oh, definitely!

[8:53] Madelyn Murphy: They really add to the atmosphere.

[9:23] Diego F. Salinas: And the hippies!

[9:52] Alex Stompoly: Can’t forget about them.

[10:21] Madelyn Murphy: They’re a crucial part of the experience.

[10:45] Diego F. Salinas: So, what’s our first move?

[11:09] Alex Stompoly: I say we head towards the pet store!

[11:38] Madelyn Murphy: Great idea!

[12:02] Diego F. Salinas: Let’s see what they have.

[12:32] Alex Stompoly: Maybe we’ll find something special.

[13:01] Madelyn Murphy: Here’s hoping!

[13:30] Diego F. Salinas: Let’s go!

[13:43] Madelyn Murphy: Welcome back to Westgate! The Burning Elf Festival has moved into the parking lot, but that won't stop our three newest Goblins from trying to find their friend a sensible turtle neck. Er...the neck of a turtle? Eh. They'll figure it out.

[14:13] Diego F. Salinas: I do the worm over in a mug. Love that. Oh, he's, uh, so he's gonna say, you know, I want to, with the holiday of love coming. Oh, the time of the vowel. Yes. I would like to take this time to be courageous. And I'm going to confess my feelings. But I don't want to do it without a gift. I have to get something for Worga.

[15:43] Alex Stompoly: Gifts are important. Physical representations of your inner adoration.

[15:56] Madelyn Murphy: Yes. Thank you. You understand. That's how I first got Linda. She wouldn't pay attention to me until I gave her a cow skull.

[16:13] Diego F. Salinas: Oh, how beautiful. You know, every time you reveal a detail, I just put it, you put the puzzle pieces together and they more and more. So do not look like the box they came in. Does that make sense? Puzzle pieces. When someone takes one of the pieces from you.

[16:40] Alex Stompoly: Yeah, sure. We'll go with that. Life's like a box of puzzle pieces. You never know what it's gonna look like when you put it together.

[17:04] Diego F. Salinas: Well, what if I put Sharpie over the top of the box?

[17:34] Madelyn Murphy: Well, that is something you... I'm not gonna tell you. You can't do it. You can. That's very so you a gift. That's what you're looking for.

[17:43] Alex Stompoly: Yeah, I'm gonna ask my deity. It says I can speak to my deity. And I'm going to begin to just like blow my snot bubble as big as I can make it until it pops, which will allow me to commune for just a second to ask him what is the perfect gift for Moog to give to Worga.

[18:03] Diego F. Salinas: Oh, I see what you want. What is it? Oh, in order to win the affection of Worga, our intrepid leader, you need... you need what is it? Something warm for her to wear?

[18:20] Alex Stompoly: Oh, like turtle neck, neck of a turtle?

[18:30] Madelyn Murphy: Yes. I need to find a turtle. Do you know turtles, Pinchy?

[18:42] Diego F. Salinas: Yes, we have a... there's a pet store at the mall. Go look there. Do I mean, I could see if... well, I mean, Peggy may know turtles. I'm not awfully familiar.

[19:00] Madelyn Murphy: Just then Peggy comes bounding back in. And girl, and she's got a single flip flop.

[19:06] Alex Stompoly: Ah, that she drops at all.

[19:10] Diego F. Salinas: You're coming shoe.

[19:22] Madelyn Murphy: Well, that indicates you're coming on this quest.

[19:25] Alex Stompoly: No, no, not no.

[19:30] Diego F. Salinas: We use the sock.

[19:42] Madelyn Murphy: So much for the calming flip flop.

[19:46] Diego F. Salinas: Tranquility.

[19:54] Madelyn Murphy: Yes, very good. Now, would you do me a favor, baby doll, and give her a little rub behind the ears?

[20:00] Alex Stompoly: Okay, if you know any turtles, ask them if they are keen to keep their neck. We may need for a gift.

[20:09] Diego F. Salinas: And she just runs out again.

[20:13] Madelyn Murphy: If I do this, I have a harebrained scheme. Can I use this? This spoon of focus?

[20:21] Alex Stompoly: Yeah, spend the focus and explain the plan given all of this.

[20:29] Diego F. Salinas: Yeah, follow me on this. Put it all together.

[20:35] Madelyn Murphy: So, okay, as devastated as I am by the loss of Linda, I see that I want to... I'm scared of love. I'm scared of heartbreak for me. But at the same time, I do want Moog and we're going to work and I agree we need the neck of a turtle.

[20:54] Alex Stompoly: So, but I also have an underhanded sneaky plan, which is turtles are not naturally bringing in birds, and I want to grab... I want to also have a plan B is I'm going to use that turtle to try to get the birds back because I want to bring back Linda.

[21:10] Diego F. Salinas: So my harebrained scheme is slip and slide through the vent system of the mall and try to like break in Mission Impossible style into the pet store.

[21:21] Madelyn Murphy: Animal Crossing.

[21:23] Alex Stompoly: Okay.

[21:28] Diego F. Salinas: I love this. I am so excited. I like have all these ideas about putting in a koi pond now let's go.

[21:35] Madelyn Murphy: You got to clean those once a month.

[21:40] Diego F. Salinas: Okay, so now that we have this incredible plan and we know where we're going, we know what we need. And we also know that we have to get through this parking lot today.

[21:50] Alex Stompoly: How would you like to proceed?

[21:53] Diego F. Salinas: Well, Grumbles, your plan seems, you know, honestly pretty foolproof. I mean, I don't anticipate there being much, much, you know, more complications. So, um, want to walk?

[22:00] Madelyn Murphy: Want to walk?

[22:02] Diego F. Salinas: Yeah, I mean, I also, um, I could. Yeah, what would be the complications of just going through it? Like, do we have to sneak through?

[22:10] Alex Stompoly: Not to sneak through. It's just a lot of people that are probably high on a lot of drugs and are not looking down and might step on you.

[22:17] Madelyn Murphy: I have it.

[22:19] Diego F. Salinas: Oh, no, I want to hear yours first.

[22:22] Alex Stompoly: I can work some miracles, baby. I have the miracle worker feet and spend the focus to bless someone deserving. And one of them is vigor, which ignores adverse effects of the environment.

[22:36] Madelyn Murphy: So I'm thinking if we can just get nice and riled up like we did back in the 30s, get all nice and mixed up.

[22:43] Diego F. Salinas: Where did your pants go, Crooked Ramone?

[22:46] Alex Stompoly: I left them back in the year of my lord 37.

[22:49] Diego F. Salinas: 37!

[22:51] Madelyn Murphy: 37 it is!

[22:53] Diego F. Salinas: That's my favorite number, betwixt two other numbers that I'm sure we are all familiar with.

[23:00] Alex Stompoly: Thirteenth.

[23:02] Diego F. Salinas: Fifth?

[23:04] Madelyn Murphy: Thirteen...

[23:06] Diego F. Salinas: Eighth?

[23:08] Madelyn Murphy: Thirty-fifth got voted out by the council.

[23:12] Diego F. Salinas: Okay, I was gonna say you don't have the focus, but that was really funny to say you have it.

[23:19] Alex Stompoly: So I would like to give the vigor to... since I want to give it to Pinchy.

[23:24] Diego F. Salinas: Great.

[23:26] Alex Stompoly: So ignore the adverse effects of the environment.

[23:29] Madelyn Murphy: Now, Pinchy, back in my day, these types of ragers would go on for hours.

[23:34] Diego F. Salinas: I'm going to condense all of that into a couple of moments.

[23:38] Alex Stompoly: You're going to have to be locked in, baby.

[23:41] Madelyn Murphy: I am focused.

[23:44] Diego F. Salinas: And just then, you see right into the snot bubble, it just pulsates slightly and it pulls you in.

[23:50] Alex Stompoly: And with that, you are filled with a tremendous amount of vigor.

[23:54] Diego F. Salinas: And vim!

[23:56] Madelyn Murphy: Boy, I'm ready to go.

[23:58] Diego F. Salinas: So... Peggy!

[24:02] Madelyn Murphy: He's come back with the other flip-flop.

[24:06] Alex Stompoly: Thank you.

[24:08] Madelyn Murphy: I've hopped on.

[24:10] Diego F. Salinas: Pinchy often just sits on Peggy's back.

[24:13] Madelyn Murphy: And if I may, please, as you are equipped on this vast machine of vigor, I always have Vaseline on me. Can I grease up the pig so that you just slip and slide right through there?

[24:25] Diego F. Salinas: You can try. You can roll hands, I think.

[24:28] Alex Stompoly: Let's see if Peggy lets you.

[24:30] Diego F. Salinas: I'll roll my Pokey Pokey stat.

[24:32] Alex Stompoly: That's a two.

[24:34] Diego F. Salinas: Oh, wait, for your hands? Oh, sorry, you get to roll four dice total.

[24:39] Madelyn Murphy: My bad.

[24:41] Diego F. Salinas: Yeah, that's a six and three twos!

[24:44] Madelyn Murphy: So that is a partial success or a success with an issue?

[24:48] Diego F. Salinas: Or with great effort. So either you're going to kill some time here trying to make this happen, so you're running around the whole cafeteria.

[24:54] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, great.

[24:56] Diego F. Salinas: I think what happens, if I can help color, is that intrinsically, pigs have an aversion to being greased up.

[25:02] Madelyn Murphy: Cooking fear just ignites.

[25:05] Diego F. Salinas: So while I am actively on Peggy, every time you get close, we just keep trotting away.

[25:11] Madelyn Murphy: No, no, it's not what you think. It's less canola oil. It's a helpful thing.

[25:16] Diego F. Salinas: If you eat it, it actually keeps you healthy, but I don't have time to go into the Vaseline medicine.

[25:22] Madelyn Murphy: It doesn't help that I'm wearing oven mitts as I try to apply it.

[25:26] Diego F. Salinas: It's not exactly-

[25:29] Madelyn Murphy: And meanwhile, like a little gymnast, I'm just hopping table to table on necessary flips.

[25:35] Diego F. Salinas: And much like a rodeo horse, Peggy's bucking a bit here and there, knocking over tables and chairs a little bit.

[25:41] Madelyn Murphy: It's a bit of a mess, and everyone's coming into breakfast at this point, and it's a lot of mayhem.

[25:46] Diego F. Salinas: But you get her, and she's now covered in grease, and you guys are ready to head out.

[25:52] Alex Stompoly: Yes! Perfect!

[25:54] Diego F. Salinas: We called this the pregame back in my day.

[25:57] Madelyn Murphy: Right. I would also say I have the slip and slide feet.

[26:02] Alex Stompoly: So I can squish and contort my body to fit through implausible spaces.

[26:06] Diego F. Salinas: So I feel like getting through that crowd is going to be easy peasy for me.

[26:10] Madelyn Murphy: I'm just leaving a slime trail of Vaseline in my wake.

[26:13] Diego F. Salinas: As a mall employee who works at the information booth, I also have very keen eyes.

[26:19] Madelyn Murphy: So I think, given now that I am full of vigor, and I can handle the situation, I'd like to roll to see if I can navigate a parking lot that I am probably familiar with, and can find maybe a more direct path.

[26:29] Diego F. Salinas: Okay, sure! Yeah, I think that once we've gotten up there, this is going to be a group effort.

[26:35] Madelyn Murphy: So, just like you were saying with your eyes, everyone's going to select a stat that they would like to roll for to contribute to getting through the parking lot.

[26:43] Diego F. Salinas: Well, boy, I come to work, but I don't pay attention. That's one five.

[26:49] Madelyn Murphy: That's still a success. That's still one success.

[26:54] Diego F. Salinas: So I will contribute legs, my skedaddling.

[26:58] Madelyn Murphy: That is, I have three, and then it says I'm agile, so I add four.

[27:02] Diego F. Salinas: Oh yeah, so you get to do the four.

[27:04] Madelyn Murphy: Oh my god. Okay. Oh my god, that's three fours and a three.

[27:08] Diego F. Salinas: So keep those fours up because we may need them, and we may need to pass them around.

[27:12] Alex Stompoly: And then what are we adding to this mix, Diego?

[27:14] Diego F. Salinas: I want to use my mouth adjective tight to announce our way through the crowd.

[27:19] Madelyn Murphy: Tight mouth.

[27:21] Diego F. Salinas: I meant it as kind of like terse, but...

[27:23] Madelyn Murphy: No, I like tight mouth.

[27:25] Diego F. Salinas: I like tight, yeah.

[27:27] Alex Stompoly: That's how you got that fork stuck in there.

[27:30] Diego F. Salinas: It's a tiny mouth, but it can take some forks.

[27:34] Madelyn Murphy: And that just got me the spoon!

[27:37] Diego F. Salinas: So yeah, I'd like to kind of announce our way through, like, out of the way, out of the way!

[27:42] Madelyn Murphy: Trying to get people out of the way, so I get four to tight mouth.

[27:46] Diego F. Salinas: That's going to be a five, two fours, and a two.

[27:50] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, great. So this is more or less everyone's going to kind of stumble along the way, and actually Scrumples is going to be the most stumbled along the way, because you can still upgrade one of these, so that as a group it succeeds.

[27:26] Madelyn Murphy: Oh, right before I escape our way, I also just whisper in his ear, you're gonna die one day and then I leave.

[27:40] Diego F. Salinas: Oh, no, you've just set him up for the world's worst trip. And you're not even gonna see the fallout. Well, so much for this unnamed elf. Bye, guy. Pinch me.

[27:56] Alex Stompoly: Oh, I thought you were gonna say something.

[27:58] Madelyn Murphy: Oh, this festival, it must mean it's really good business for the mall this time of year. A lot of people come in and ask where the bathroom is.

[28:06] Diego F. Salinas: Yeah, which gives me a lot of things to say. I say down the hall to the left. You know, you've always been a really helpful guy in this community. Always there in a pinch. I know that the election is still for some time off. But have you ever thought about running this community?

[28:23] Alex Stompoly: No, I'm more of a jogging kind of guy myself. I don't have. I don't really have the legs for running.

[28:31] Diego F. Salinas: But no one in this community has legs. If you scream and that sets Peggy off and she starts galloping. You gotta steer Pinchy. She's going wild.

[28:40] Alex Stompoly: Listen, this is one pig not even a goblin can control. I imagine at this point, like Scrumples holding on to the tail. Crooked Ramon is also holding on. So as we're just rocketing through the crowd, just be like, but listen, I agree with Crooked Ramon, Pinchy. You isn't disastrous to say I think your talents are underutilized as just being the mouthpiece of the mall. Yeah, you got to break out man. You don't want to end up like me.

[29:06] Madelyn Murphy: Well, before I go on breaking out, we got to break on in. And I say that in a really cool way because we've arrived in my mind where we're gonna build it. And while you're doing that, if everyone wants to roll an eyes or anyone who wants to say that they were keeping an eye out on the way in can roll an eyes.

[29:31] Diego F. Salinas: Yeah, and I, I am gonna I've got four eyes, my keen eyes. I have a two eyes. But I've been very more concerned about Peggy.

[29:46] Alex Stompoly: Okay, but I do have the focus right now. And so I am going to spend it to have Peggy has I have the ability of my animal companion to have scouted out also and report back to me.

[30:01] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, so I'm going to utilize this as Peggy has also been watching. Okay, great. Yeah, I'll do that. So in that case, as you get closer to the mall, and you're right by the door, Peggy veers off, and ends up going over to the side. And it looks like somebody has set up a bit of like a barbecue pit zone. And she's like nosing around some of the scraps, like some vegetable scraps on the side here. But it looks like these folks might be the ones that have been leaving a mess. See single-use plastic, not only that they're leaving that we have clearly marked compost bins for the containers for if you're not going to use them.

[30:46] Diego F. Salinas: Well, the birds, the birds are—

[30:48] Madelyn Murphy: Scrumples is looking to the sky. And there's a bunch of seagulls that are like, actually, they're chomping away at some stuff.

[30:56] Alex Stompoly: You bastards. You bastards. I'm shaking my Vaseline-covered fists at the sky. They don't care. These things outweigh us three to one.

[31:06] Madelyn Murphy: Oh, I'm sorry, one of them makes eye contact with you and starts walking over.

[31:10] Alex Stompoly: No, no, no, no, I immediately I don't. Don't break eye contact Scrumples. I want to maintain that eye contact Scrumples. If you blink, it could be over for all of us.

[31:20] Madelyn Murphy: Oh, no, I have to sneeze. I have to sneeze. I want to ask God to stop this sneeze.

[31:26] Diego F. Salinas: Do you have to spend the focus or anything? It says, how do you speak to your deity? It says I picked the method and it was a snot bubble bursting. So as long as I can keep that snot bubble going.

[31:35] Alex Stompoly: Yeah, perfect. So you roll mouth. Okay, roll for mouth. Roll mouth. Roll mouth.

[31:42] Madelyn Murphy: That is a four to two ones and a three. Do you want to complicate your life and make it a partial success or no?

[31:49] Alex Stompoly: I'll complicate myself. Yeah.

[31:51] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, so I'm gonna say that your snot bubble is gonna pop and you're gonna lose it for a little while. And it's not Lord is gone. But with that pop, it distracts the seagull and it breaks eye contact. And it goes away.

[32:06] Alex Stompoly: Oh, excellent. I don't want you to end up like Linda.

[32:10] Diego F. Salinas: No last too many people to the birds already.

[32:14] Madelyn Murphy: Oh, no. 75 last week.

[32:16] Alex Stompoly: I know. And think about it. If we lost you the way we lost Linda and Linda comes back and then we don't have you. We got to make more posters.

[32:26] Diego F. Salinas: And just then an elf with long flowing hair and flowers in it. She approaches and says, Hi, do you want some tempeh?

[32:35] Madelyn Murphy: She's like offers out a platter of food.

[32:38] Alex Stompoly: The city in Arizona.

[32:40] Madelyn Murphy: Why? Yeah, baby. I it would be rude to say no. And I take one. I eat it. Do you like it?

[32:49] Diego F. Salinas: It tastes like happiness.

[32:51] Madelyn Murphy: But I have to say you and your friends, you're leaving a lot of trash around here. We've clearly put up these receptacles and clearly marked them. I have to insist that you use them.

[33:02] Alex Stompoly: You're so right. I'm sorry. We were offering food to the community and we were not enforcing the rules.

[33:08] Madelyn Murphy: Well, that's what we're here for. And I like I have like a little like, like measuring tape and I pull it out to like four inches and just like to like use it like a police baton.

[33:19] Diego F. Salinas: Like a meter stick.

[33:20] Madelyn Murphy: Yeah, but it's like I like smack it down on my hand and just like flops around like you also have no pants on and a fork stuck in your—

[33:28] Alex Stompoly: I'm angular baby. It's the worst Robocop. We built him back worse.

[33:34] Diego F. Salinas: Are you trying to intimidate her?

[33:36] Madelyn Murphy: Yeah, I'll intimidate her. Yeah.

[33:39] Diego F. Salinas: Um, I'm gonna have you roll eyes. Yeah.

[33:42] Madelyn Murphy: Amazing. I would also like to pause it because they're—

[33:45] Diego F. Salinas: More than one. This is not gonna work.

[33:48] Madelyn Murphy: The measuring tape like snatches back and like slices my hand a little bit.

[33:52] Diego F. Salinas: It didn't intimidate her but she does pat you on the head and she's quite charmed by you.

[33:56] Alex Stompoly: I think Scrumples seeing because it's the grill, right? It's all the food scraps. Yeah, that's attracting the birds and creating all of this waste. Yeah, I'm a little rascal Scrumples is gonna try to take out that grill. I think if I get rid of the cooking source, it'll do it and I would posit that I'm gonna just try to cover it in Vaseline and push it down the hill.

[34:18] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, are you saying like we want to use hands for this?

[34:21] Alex Stompoly: Yeah. Okay, I'm gonna use my pokey pokey step. Here we go. Yeah. 664 and three.

[34:27] Madelyn Murphy: Okay, that's enough. Yeah, that's just a flat success. That thing should not have been on wheels. And if it is on wheels, it should have had brakes, it starts rolling away. I do a flying Sparta kick at it. And just send it flying.

[34:42] Diego F. Salinas: Unfortunately, in the general direction of that unnamed elf that I already gave a bad trip to.

[34:47] Alex Stompoly: Oh, no, he's like far on the other side of the thing. Like, I love the idea that this is just rolling through the whole tent city that they have going. So like, it's rolling through directly.

[41:09] Madelyn Murphy: Welcome back to Westgate! The Burning Elf Festival has moved into the parking lot, but that won't stop our three newest Goblins from trying to find their friend a sensible turtle neck. Er... the neck of a turtle? Eh. They'll figure it out.

[41:39] Diego F. Salinas: Listen as Scrumples, Crooked Ramone, and Pinchy try to navigate hippies, birds, and raving mascots on a quest to stoke the fires of Love while soothing their own broken hearts.

[41:49] Alex Stompoly: Special shout out always to our resident Tall Person and pig VO artist, Jasmin Malave at the helm!

[42:59] Madelyn Murphy: So, what do you think about the festival?

[43:09] Diego F. Salinas: I think it's going to be a wild ride, especially with all the raving mascots around.

[43:19] Alex Stompoly: And let's not forget about the hippies! They always bring a unique vibe.

[43:29] Madelyn Murphy: Right? I mean, who doesn't love a good drum circle?

[43:39] Diego F. Salinas: Exactly! And maybe we can find some cool accessories for our goblins while we're at it.

[43:49] Alex Stompoly: Accessories are key! We need to make sure we look fabulous on this quest.

[43:59] Madelyn Murphy: And what about the turtle neck? We can't forget that!

[44:09] Diego F. Salinas: Of course! It's essential for our friend's style.

[44:19] Alex Stompoly: Plus, it might keep us warm during the festival.

[44:29] Madelyn Murphy: True! You never know how chilly it might get at night.

[44:39] Diego F. Salinas: And if we run into any trouble, at least we'll look good while dealing with it.

[44:49] Alex Stompoly: Fashion is always important, even in a quest!

[44:59] Madelyn Murphy: Agreed! Now, let's get out there and find that turtle neck!

[45:09] Diego F. Salinas: Onward, my goblin friends!

[45:19] Alex Stompoly: Adventure awaits!
