[0:14] Bryan Palofsky: That's BROADWAY. Kevin, save it for the podcast, man. Save it for the episode.
[0:17] Kevin Jaeger: Sorry, I just get excited. I know, it's a very exciting time. Jeremy's here, it's just exciting. It's a very exciting time. Okay? Yep. You ready? Uh-huh. Okay. Let's do it. And now for your regularly scheduled guest. Go to goldstar.com. Sorry, sorry.
[0:39] Kimberly Cooper: Did you bring wine? I got the glasses.
[0:41] Jeremy Jordan: You guys, I made a quiz.
[0:55] Bryan Palofsky: Hello, and welcome to the official Broadwaysted podcast, where we're drunk on theater. I'm your host, Bryan Palofsky, and here I go again. We're not going to take it. No, we're not going to take it. We built this city and we're high enough that the search is over. I may be a renegade, but together we're wanted, dead or alive, any way you want it. Just don't stop believing. Every rose has its thorn. And since I can't fight this feeling anymore, I'm just going to keep on loving you. Oh, I hate myself for loving you. So hit me with your best shot. In the heat of the moment, you might harden my heart, but in the shadows of the night, we're having nothing but a good time. Oh, Sherry, you sister Christian. I want to know what love is. Is it just like paradise? All I know is that to be with you is heaven. It's official. I have too much time on my hands. Amen.
[1:41] Bryan Palofsky: Joining us today are the usual final countdowners who want to feel the noise with a Z, including Kevin, waiting for a girl like you, Jaeger.
[1:49] Kevin Jaeger: Always just waiting for that girl like you.
[1:54] Kimberly Cooper: Hello. Have we all had dinner? Yes, we all have had dinner. We have.
[1:59] Bryan Palofsky: I'm not doing this on MZStuff. No, we did it last night. And with us today is a Tony-losing actor who has appeared in such Broadway shows as Rock of Ages, West Side Story, Bonnie and Clyde, and Newsies. You've also probably seen him on TV in Supergirl and Smash on the big screen in Joyful Noise over the last five years. But most likely you've heard him on episodes six and sixty-one of this very podcast. Yeah, let's give it his claim to fame. Will there be a six on this number? There better be. Will it be like 106? Six. This is. Yeah, this is the six. Oh, I don't know which one this is. I'm down with that. Yeah. But let's give a big Broadway welcome to ultimate three-time friend of the show. Ultimate three-time friend of the show. Jeremy Jordan. Welcome.
[2:44] Jeremy Jordan: Cheers. What do you got there? Is that a hard lemonade?
[2:50] Bryan Palofsky: A shandy. What are you drinking?
[2:56] Jeremy Jordan: So I'm drinking a, I'm going to try to say it. Yeah. Narragansett.
[3:01] Bryan Palofsky: Yeah. Is that not a word you knew?
[3:03] Jeremy Jordan: I've seen those. I've seen those. They're really good. It looks like the Ted Drew's frozen custard.
[3:08] Bryan Palofsky: Yes, it does. So when I came in at first, I was like, are you guys drinking some sort of ice cream in a can? I was very disappointed.
[3:12] Jeremy Jordan: It's basically a lemonade beer.
[3:19] Kimberly Cooper: Beautiful. I don't know.
[3:19] Jeremy Jordan: Fair of the dog. I am drinking the Hudson whiskey Manhattan rye on the rocks are really good. And Jeremy, what's your fancy drink you requested?
[3:26] Jeremy Jordan: I got my some rum and coke.
[3:31] Bryan Palofsky: You're the first person to ever have a rum and coke on this show. You're the only person to drink rum on this show because we had my time. Rum is my drink. Rum is my lick.
[3:35] Kevin Jaeger: I appreciate the abbrev.
[3:47] Jeremy Jordan: You got it. Yeah. Well, you could follow Jeremy. It's not an abbrev. It was just a part of a word.
[3:53] Kevin Jaeger: Interesting emphasis. You can follow Jeremy at Jeremy M. Jordan on all social media.
[3:59] Bryan Palofsky: Let's, uh, you know, let's start with what have you seen this week? Have you seen anything lately?
[4:10] Jeremy Jordan: No. No, nothing. No, I haven't seen anything. I've been in Vancouver for the past ever. And then I just got back a couple of weeks ago. Was kind of really sick. Yeah. And so I'm back. So tell me what I need to see. I need to know.
[4:26] Bryan Palofsky: Oh, okay. We could play that. Spongebob.
[4:31] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. Have you seen Once on this Island?
[4:31] Bryan Palofsky: No, I haven't seen Once on this Island.
[4:36] Jeremy Jordan: Yes. Anything that opened in like the past year, I haven't seen. Once on this Island. Definitely. Spongebob. My Fair Lady. I would check out Mean Girls. I'm seeing that in July.
[4:43] Jeremy Jordan: So it's on the list. Okay. Good. Oh, you have to see Jared in summer.
[4:51] Bryan Palofsky: Yes. He does. I have to go see Laurie Metcalf in Three Tall Women.
[4:56] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, yeah. I've heard that's lovely. Because she was, she played your mom.
[5:01] Bryan Palofsky: She played my mom. On Supes. Supes girl.
[5:05] Kimberly Cooper: We have some questions for you. Let's hear them. We're going to do some would you rather questions.
[5:07] Jeremy Jordan: I can do that. Great. I got these from conversationstartersworld.com.
[5:12] Bryan Palofsky: Oh my God. Okay. I just wanted, I didn't want anything. I wrote them if I didn't. Good job. Would you rather be able to see 10 minutes into your own future? Or 10 minutes into the future of anyone but yourself?
[5:16] Jeremy Jordan: 10 minutes into the future.
[5:24] Bryan Palofsky: The next 10 minutes. I would definitely somebody else. Because like, I'm pretty sure what's going to happen in the next 10 minutes in any given moment. You don't know because you're here. This is crazy. I'm going to say fast forward 10 minutes from now isn't going to be much less exciting than picking some crazy person on the street.
[5:39] Jeremy Jordan: That's true. That's actually a really good answer. I'll give you that one. Great. Yeah. It'd be one thing if I was like literally like in a hostage situation. Right. Then you would, but you could also look at somebody else. But then I would find the 10 minutes of the, of the gunman. Yeah. Right. And plot his, his course. Oh. And then know where he is. And then sneak up behind him. So you'd be the real.
[6:07] Bryan Palofsky: What was, what was the noise you do? Would you rather go to jail for four years for something you didn't do or get away with something horrible, but you always will live in fear of being caught?
[6:19] Jeremy Jordan: This may be true right now. Wow. It's like a body question. Yeah. I'd probably rather get away with it. Okay. That's a weird thing to say, but I don't think that I don't think that I could handle knowing that I was innocent and like doing four years for it. I think that would just me up.
[6:36] Bryan Palofsky: Yeah. I agree. Yeah. I think it would just really Carmen Cusack screaming.
[6:43] Jeremy Jordan: No, I get that. That makes sense. So yeah, I think I, yeah, I wouldn't, I mean, it's a hard one to have, but I mean, I feel like, I mean, I've gotten away with things in the past, you know, I'm not like things that are terrible, so horrible, whatever, but like, you know, you forget about it for a while.
[7:19] Bryan Palofsky: Would you rather be alone for the rest of your life or always be surrounded by annoying people?
[7:25] Jeremy Jordan: Wow. So do you want to hang out with Brian anymore?
[7:27] Bryan Palofsky: Oh my God. That's tough. I guess annoying people because I'm probably annoying sometimes too.
[7:45] Jeremy Jordan: Would you rather never use social media sites or apps again, or never watch another movie or TV show?
[7:49] Bryan Palofsky: Social media.
[7:49] Jeremy Jordan: Oh wow. A hundred percent. Yeah. That's an easy one. What shows are you watching now?
[7:54] Bryan Palofsky: What shows are you watching now? What shows are you watching now?
[7:58] Jeremy Jordan: Well, you know, right now I'm super into Westworld and, and catching up on Handmaid's Tale.
[8:07] Bryan Palofsky: Oh yeah. That's some dark stuff.
[8:12] Jeremy Jordan: Some dark stuff. Like I'm like, I like a dark show. I just watched the season, the series finale of New Girl made me very sad.
[8:17] Bryan Palofsky: Me too. I love New Girl. I'm going to miss them so much.
[8:23] Jeremy Jordan: So good. So good. Like it's one of those shows. Like I laugh out loud every episode and I don't laugh out loud very often. Bryan, do you know who you are? Winston?
[8:27] Bryan Palofsky: Yeah. Yeah. I probably am Winston. Every time me and Jay watch it.
[8:32] Jeremy Jordan: Winston's the best character. Yeah. But every time I watch it, we're just like, Oh Bryan. And he wasn't for like the first couple of seasons. And then he like figured out who he was. They gave him a cat and they figured it out.
[8:43] Bryan Palofsky: They gave him a cat and he suddenly became the best character. Just the fact that he doesn't understand pranks is truly one of the greatest TV claws and tributes ever.
[8:50] Jeremy Jordan: Amazing. I saw him at Comic-Con this past year and I ran into him. I took a picture of him and like, I saw people from Game of Thrones. I saw like movie stars and I like, and I don't go up to people. Like I get really nervous, but I like made a point to go up to him. I was like, dude, you're the shit.
[9:15] Bryan Palofsky: Lamorne Morris. So would you rather be the first person to explore a planet or be the inventor of a drug that cures a deadly disease?
[9:22] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, um, wow. Yeah. The drug.
[9:29] Bryan Palofsky: Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Because I can be the second person to explore the planet. Super easy. But I can't like, yeah, I just, the first person is like, I forgot what my bonk is. I'm just thinking behind him.
[9:45] Jeremy Jordan: There's a lot of bonking going on. Yeah. Yeah. I like to bonk. I'm good. I like a good bonk. Do you remember that TV show bonkers where it was a little like cat who was a cop?
[9:49] Bryan Palofsky: No. Yes, I do.
[9:54] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, you do? I'm with you. Great. Um, would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?
[10:00] Jeremy Jordan: Whoa. Fly, I guess. Cause sometimes I feel invisible.
[10:06] Bryan Palofsky: That's how you can sneak up behind people.
[10:13] Jeremy Jordan: No, because if I, because like, if I was invisible, what do you can do when you're invisible? Like spy on people. Right. If you can fly, you just like, they see you fly away. You have a mask on. They're not going to know.
[10:21] Bryan Palofsky: That's true. I mean, I didn't immediately think of having a mask on while flying, but like, I appreciate that your mind went there. I have dreams about flying with a mask on. I'm good at it. My dream self kills it at flying. My dream self is like, Oh, I get it. Like, I forget how to fly for a second and then I get a running start and I'm like, Oh, okay. That's it. And like, you gotta really feel it. It's like very much like riding the wind. I really wish that people could see your entire body explanation of this. It's like a, you know, it's like a, like a swoop, like a swoop of your body. And then they go, Oh, then you catch it. And you're like, Oh, here I am. Okay.
[11:12] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, okay. Jeremy Jordan is teaching us how to fly. Would you have, would you have wings or would you like super girl fly?
[11:17] Jeremy Jordan: No, no wings. Wings are cumbersome. And I don't want people thinking I'm like an angel or something like that. I don't want to deal with that. Yeah. I don't need to be like a John Travolta moment.
[11:27] Bryan Palofsky: Oh my God. That seemed very, that seemed very inconvenient. I would agree.
[11:34] Jeremy Jordan: Would you rather know when you were going to die or how you are going to die? You can't change the time or method of the death, but you would know either how or when, which one?
[11:40] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, how or when I'm going to die. Um, it's a lot of morbid conversations. I guess I would, I guess I'd like to know farts. I guess I would guess. I guess I'd like to know when, because if I can't change it, then I can like get to that point and be like, take me. Yeah. And then someone bonks you on the head. I would make so much money off of it. Cause I would be like, this is when I'm going to die. Place your bets on how it's going to happen. Oh, and then you like, you know, well, I'll just give it to my trust fund and you know, send it to people I like, you know, and the annoying people you hang out with. And then like, I would go to the top of a mountain or something maybe a little less crazy. I would do something, you know, I'd go somewhere maybe like.
[12:39] Jeremy Jordan: Totally normal and then just see what kind of weird thing would happen.
[12:45] Bryan: Yeah, would then although I feel like if you know what how
[12:49] Kevin: You're just waiting for it.
[12:53] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, that's true. Every time so I like moves toward you like yeah
[12:59] Bryan: Yeah, like if it's like you die in an airplane crash. Well, I'm never flying again, right? You don't live your life.
[13:04] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[13:08] Bryan: Would you rather have hands that keep growing as you got older?
[13:15] Jeremy Jordan: That keep growing as you got older.
[13:23] Kevin: I don't trust the people that wrote these questions to be good conversation makers. How fast are they growing?
[13:26] Jeremy Jordan: Wow, I guess feet. That's a very centralized element. I have like I have like moderate
[13:33] Bryan: So like maybe slightly below average
[13:38] Jeremy Jordan: Feet shoe size so I like I have some room to go there if my hands started getting bigger though
[13:46] Kevin: That would be weird. Just think about your bonking capabilities.
[13:55] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, your hands get bigger though
[14:01] Bryan: I could bonk some people. What's it called? Mjolnir, the hammer.
[14:03] Jeremy Jordan: Mjolnir? Yeah, yes
[14:11] Kevin: I feel like there's like so many old TV shows or like big giant characters just bonk people on the head
[14:17] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, and Little Bunny Foo Foo.
[14:23] Bryan: Yeah, basically you just like and I bonk you and you're dead. With the baby from dinosaurs?
[14:28] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, exactly. Nakamama?
[14:30] Kevin: Would you rather have unlimited sushi for life or unlimited tacos for life?
[14:34] Jeremy Jordan: Tacos.
[14:37] Bryan: Great. Was there a follow-up?
[14:39] Jeremy Jordan: Both are amazingly delicious and you can be any type you can choose any type of sushi or taco.
[14:45] Kevin: Tacos!
[14:47] Jeremy Jordan: Great. Amen.
[14:49] Bryan: Yeah, easy. Would you rather lose all of your memories from birth until now or
[14:55] Jeremy Jordan: Lose your ability to make new long-term memories.
[14:59] Kevin: Oh
[15:01] Jeremy Jordan: That's intense, yeah, that's like a 50, what, 50 first dates.
[15:05] Bryan: Yeah, where she doesn't have long-term.
[15:07] Jeremy Jordan: Where she can't like make new memories.
[15:10] Kevin: Mm-hmm.
[15:12] Jeremy Jordan: That's hard. That's hard though. Cuz it
[15:15] Bryan: Am I still like a fully functioning human being if I've lost all my prior memories?
[15:19] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I don't know
[15:22] Bryan: I don't I don't know. You've lost the potty training.
[15:25] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, exactly
[15:27] Bryan: Like if it's that then no if I would think that this question is more asking like your like emotional connections like memories of experiences
[15:34] Jeremy Jordan: I'm gonna agree not like how do you use the bathroom or to walk?
[15:38] Bryan: Here's the thing though. It's like I try not to be too
[15:41] Jeremy Jordan: like
[15:43] Bryan: Encumbered by the past
[15:45] Jeremy Jordan: You know, so like I want to say the future
[15:48] Bryan: But then like I'd still want to like make new memories, right, right
[15:52] Jeremy Jordan: But then how would I make new memories if I didn't like have access to like people that I cared about right?
[15:58] Bryan: Dang
[16:00] Jeremy Jordan: But then it could be like a romantic comedy where I could get to fall in love with your wife all over again every day
[16:06] Bryan: Yeah, it's my QQ video. I don't know like I
[16:10] Jeremy Jordan: Don't know if she would handle that. She could handle that. She'd be like, really?
[16:15] Bryan: Like if we've been together for like eight years like it took a while to figure it all out
[16:22] Jeremy Jordan: Like Anna it's like the end of Chuck.
[16:25] Bryan: Yeah
[16:27] Jeremy Jordan: You watch Chuck?
[16:29] Bryan: I did watch, yeah, yeah
[16:31] Jeremy Jordan: So good.
[16:33] Bryan: Okay, I guess I would just I guess I I guess I would keep the memories I have
[16:39] Jeremy Jordan: Okay
[16:41] Bryan: Because if I had those like I feel like I've lived long enough so I can make good decisions based on the last 33
[16:47] Jeremy Jordan: Years of my life, that's fair. It's a good regardless.
[16:50] Bryan: Okay
[16:52] Jeremy Jordan: Would you rather know the history of every object you touched or be able to talk to animals?
[16:58] Bryan: I
[17:00] Jeremy Jordan: Feel like you're the only person Bryan that would say the answer would be to every like history of every
[17:05] Bryan: I think that's my answer.
[17:07] Jeremy Jordan: Really? Yeah, how cool would it be to be like, hey, hey
[17:12] Bryan: Go shit on that guy.
[17:15] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, but it's a pigeon gonna actually listen to you
[17:19] Kevin: If a pigeon all of a sudden is like hearing a human thing that pigeons are that smart?
[17:23] Jeremy Jordan: No, but I think that if a pigeon heard a human speak pigeon, they were like ocean. It's like a pigeon God
[17:29] Bryan: I have to do what he says
[17:31] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I guess you could be if you're on the street. I don't want that responsibility
[17:35] Kevin: If you were on the street in a pigeon spoken human voice is that Jeremy go?
[17:40] Jeremy Jordan: From that guy like you'd think about it because a pigeon told you to
[17:45] Bryan: That I couldn't go outside I feel like it would spiral after a while
[17:49] Jeremy Jordan: What
[17:51] Bryan: Touching things like I'm into that. I think that's cool. I mean like if it gets too much then you just you know, you just wear gloves
[17:58] Jeremy Jordan: Okay
[18:00] Bryan: All right last last would you rather?
[18:02] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, can't wait. Would you rather never sweat again or never feel cold again Kevin? What about you?
[18:09] Kevin: I would rather never sweat again.
[18:12] Jeremy Jordan: I would rather never feel cold again, are you kidding me easy?
[18:17] Bryan: I mean sweating is fine. Like I can deal with it
[18:21] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, you know great because it doesn't last forever
[18:24] Bryan: No, the question is not like eternally sweat or eternally cold, right? That would be horrible like just eternally sweat
[18:30] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, or eternally be cold. They both be terrible.
[18:34] Bryan: Yeah, they both would be terrible.
[18:36] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, that's not the question. Thank God
[18:39] Bryan: Let's do it, okay
[18:41] Jeremy Jordan: How are you going to top yourself, I really don't know that's okay. I also made this very I'm not expecting you
[18:47] Bryan: You're not yourself with the escaping the podcast. That was that's when I
[18:52] Jeremy Jordan: Literally like watching two five-year-old boys like geek out
[18:57] Bryan: I forgot the combo to my lock. You should listen to the episode
[19:02] Jeremy Jordan: I couldn't find my notes of like what it was in my notes. It didn't say the answer is
[19:08] Bryan: That's amazing. I went back and listened to the episode to figure out into your lock
[19:12] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I couldn't find the one I usually use. I had to use the one for the game
[19:17] Bryan: No before we continue with that god, I'm so tired fall asleep again. I swear to God. I'm so sorry. It's just
[19:24] Jeremy Jordan: But I am
[19:26] Kevin: Oh, oh no, who's there let me guess you're part zebra part flamingo and part
[19:32] Jeremy Jordan: No, Brian, it's me Kevin.
[19:35] Bryan: Oh
[19:37] Kevin: Okay, except I'm British
[19:39] Bryan: Okay, I'm listening like crazy jacked and cut like Channing Tatum and coach Carter random reference
[19:45] Jeremy Jordan: But okay, but like you Channing Tatum and actually traded bodies with Seth Rogen
[19:50] Kevin: That's a curveball and Seth Rogen just had my exact body. So it's just you but British
[19:56] Jeremy Jordan: I present to you the master of the dream realm the game
[20:01] Kevin: Master
[20:03] Jeremy Jordan: You mortal pun master. I shall destroy you unless you can solve my riddle.
[20:08] Kevin: Oh, no, what's the riddle?
[20:10] Jeremy Jordan: What's the best way to get great tickets to live entertainment like Broadway shows Broadway national tours concerts comedy and dance?

[21:25] Bryan: Yeah, I'm so sorry
[21:27] Jeremy Jordan: Where were we great, so we're gonna play triple threat.
[21:31] Bryan: Oh
[21:33] Jeremy Jordan: Does the game Kevin made up?
[21:35] Bryan: Yeah, okay
[21:37] Jeremy Jordan: So what did you also write that opening statement? I feel like you write all those which one the openers
[21:43] Bryan: Did you write that?
[21:45] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I think Kevin wrote them.
[21:47] Bryan: No Kevin does we'll get there
[21:49] Jeremy Jordan: Fair enough.
[21:51] Bryan: Yeah, we have something for you that you haven't experienced yet
[21:54] Jeremy Jordan: Oh
[21:56] Bryan: So we have three games that I'll use the number three because it's your third time Jerry
[22:02] Jeremy Jordan: So triple threat is I'm going to read three lyrics from a song and then whoever dings the bell
[22:09] Bryan: Oh, yeah, yeah, we have bells we got fancy
[22:12] Jeremy Jordan: So we'll share a bell.
[22:14] Bryan: Yeah.
[22:15] Jeremy Jordan: So whoever
[22:17] Bryan: First
[22:18] Jeremy Jordan: Can chime in and say what song it is
[22:20] Bryan: Also, all of these games are winnable which hasn't been the case in the past few episodes
[22:25] Jeremy Jordan: So keep track of your own score.
[22:27] Bryan: Oh, so there are scores and you can win great and then we will have an episode winner
[22:32] Jeremy Jordan: So remember
[22:34] Bryan: Right, yep.
[22:36] Jeremy Jordan: Yes. That was my preemptive bow.
[22:39] Bryan: Great. So I guess so I'm gonna read three words
[22:42] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, okay, you know me three words of a song lyric
[22:46] Bryan: yeah, I wasn't paying attention to
[22:49] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, there's a bright
[22:52] Bryan: What am I naming?
[22:54] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, it is. Oh, what a beautiful morning from Oklahoma.
[22:58] Bryan: That's good
[23:00] Jeremy Jordan: Which I get two points or one point
[23:03] Bryan: One. Why would you get two?
[23:05] Jeremy Jordan: The show?
[23:07] Bryan: No, you get one
[23:09] Jeremy Jordan: You're cruising for a
[23:12] Bryan: Written by Hammerstein, I wonder what
[23:15] Jeremy Jordan: The I wonder what the king is doing today
[23:20] Bryan: Yeah, I wonder what he'll think of
[23:25] Jeremy Jordan: Me soliloquy.
[23:27] Bryan: Yes. Thank you
[23:29] Jeremy Jordan: I was thinking that song that she sings the solo the bells
[23:34] Bryan: Yeah
[23:36] Jeremy Jordan: Doesn't look like I love that show
[23:39] Bryan: Angry saying I wonder what I think of me
[23:43] Jeremy Jordan: This is miss
[23:46] Bryan: Does it miss Baltimore Crabs, no
[23:49] Jeremy Jordan: Three more this is miss Dolly.
[23:52] Bryan: It's so
[23:54] Jeremy Jordan: Hello Dolly.
[23:56] Bryan: Yeah.
[23:58] Jeremy Jordan: From that's was that the song?
[24:01] Bryan: Yeah.
[24:03] Jeremy Jordan: Oh
[24:05] Bryan: Ready?
[24:06] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I like my answer.
[24:09] Bryan: I have often
[24:11] Jeremy Jordan: This is on the street
[24:13] Bryan: Dang it Kevin.
[24:15] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[24:17] Bryan: Yeah, they say folks
[24:19] Jeremy Jordan: Santa Fe by Newsies
[24:23] Bryan: By the group Newsies I don't know if you've heard
[24:27] Jeremy Jordan: If all of the guys from Newsies just formed a boy band called Newsies
[24:32] Bryan: And it's like
[24:34] Jeremy Jordan: There's just like 20
[24:36] Bryan: They're dancing
[24:38] Jeremy Jordan: And then there's like the two singers, right? They're just singers.
[24:42] Bryan: That's me
[24:44] Jeremy Jordan: You sit and watch the dancing with Damien.
[24:47] Bryan: Mm-hmm.
[24:48] Jeremy Jordan: Okay a few more a
[24:50] Bryan: few more hours.
[24:52] Jeremy Jordan: That's all I knew it was gonna be hours. I'm getting married in the morning from My Fair Lady
[25:17] Jeremy Jordan: Yes, but the actual title is? Uh, uh, Get Me to the Church One Time. Yeah. We all have two.
[25:23] Kevin: Okay, ready? Yeah. I'm High Above. Oh, three more. The City. I'm. Broadway Here I Come. Yeah.
[25:36] Kimberly: Okay. Okay. Give me a song that I should know. Just those two. Okay. Ready? Yeah. All Week Long.
[25:43] Jeremy Jordan: Pour Me Another Round from Bright Star. Oh, God, you guys know all of Bright Star. All Week Long.
[25:53] Kevin: Okay. A Stranger In.
[26:00] Jeremy Jordan: Give me the rest. White. In A. In a Car. Oh, God, what is it called? It's, um, Oh, God's. Oh, God, see my prayer. Uh, it's, it's, Timoon's song is Waiting for Life to Begin.
[26:15] Kevin: Okay. And that's the last one. Kevin. Kevin. Kevin got four points. Jeremy got three. I got two.
[26:22] Kimberly: Okay. Ryan, you started strong. I did. I did. And then you fell off hard. That was fun. Um, well, let's, let's take a trip. Let's do the trip. We're going to go to a place called Tuesdays in the Corner with Kevin. They did this when I wasn't here. Tuesdays in the Corner. This is called Tuesdays in the Corner with Kevin. Why are we in the corner?
[26:44] Kevin: So you're in Kevin's Corner. Okay. Which is three highly researched questions that usually I research from YouTube and Wikipedia. But today, especially for your third time on here, but your first time in Kevin's Corner. Oh, God. I have done this completely from stream of consciousness. So I have no idea how this is going to go. You ready?
[27:01] Jeremy Jordan: Yes. I hope you didn't edit this question.
[27:06] Kevin: I didn't at all. This is gonna be a mess. Question one. Jeremy, Jeremy, Jeremy. Oh, your third time on the show and your first time in Kevin's Corner. You played the role of Win on the television smash hit. See what I did there? Supergirl. And that's Win with two ends. Yes. Like the grocery store Win Dixie or the dog in that kid's movie about a dog that's named after a grocery store or something. Because of Win Dixie. Is that what it's called? Thank you. Making up the plots to movies I haven't seen makes me sometimes wish that a movie I came up with existed. To which you're probably thinking, well, then write it. But like the movie plots I come up with about movies I haven't seen are usually ideas I'm not really that passionate about.
But like I would maybe write it, but like not really put the time and effort in. E for effort is a kind of sassy cut down that I feel like came out of the 90s, but I may have totally made that up. So Jeremy, my question is this. Can you please make up a 90 second synopsis of a musical about Brian and a piece of bacon? Brian and a piece of bacon. Kimberly, can you give me 90 seconds on the clock? And Jeremy, you are playing the bacon in the musical and Brian's playing Brian.
[28:19] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. So bacon is actually Kevin Bacon in disguise as a piece of bacon. That's the first thing. That's the thing that you figure out at the end of Act One. Okay. So that's like the big reveal. There's four acts. Okay. There's just two. There's just two. Kevin Bacon will not appear in a four act musical. Even as played by me. Right. Okay. So Brian, Brian is actually, is actually a pug dog. Yeah. So he's got a full mask. He's got makeup. He has to sit in a chair for three hours before every show. You're a pug and pugs love bacon.
[28:58] Kevin: They do. They do.
[29:00] Jeremy Jordan: And so, you know, the first like 10 minutes is, is just, is Brian trying to devise a way to get on the counter. Okay. Because the bacon's up there and I'm just laying on the counter and people don't know that I'm bacon yet. They can think I dress as Kevin Bacon. Right. Kevin Bacon. And like there are pictures of Kevin Bacon to figure like Kevin Bacon's somewhat in the show, but we don't know that he is bacon. Meta. I like it. I love it. Brian's this pug and he's just trying to get up and he's a pug. This is the best musical I've ever heard of. His face is so smooshy. And everybody keeps coming by and trying to smoosh his face, but he hates it. I love that you made sure that you have a miserable time in the makeup chair.
And also like, he's got like, he's got like skin problems because, you know, pugs have issues. So, okay. He can't get up there. And then finally a little kid comes by and puts him up, puts him on the counter. And then he just starts like chewing on my arm. He's chewing my arm. And we're like, well, that doesn't make much sense, but it's like a loving gnaw. And he can't quite figure out like what's wrong. And the whole kind of first act is about Kevin Bacon as bacon, trying to like convince pug Brian that he's only dressed as bacon. He's not really bacon.
[30:19] Kevin: Okay. So, but, but that he smells like bacon because he had bacon for breakfast that morning.
[30:23] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, okay. That's, that's how this all makes sense. And so act two is all about Kevin Bacon dressed as bacon played by me.
[30:29] Kevin: Right.
[30:32] Jeremy Jordan: Makes bacon for the pug for the first time. And he just draws it out. Like it's like a whole act of making bacon.
[30:39] Kevin: It's like he puts it, he like, he puts a big, he puts the burger on like on low, like the way you should make it.
[30:44] Jeremy Jordan: Right. Like you like with love. Nobody actually has a patience to make bacon, like how you should make bacon, but just like on low and like let it simmer.
[30:50] Kevin: Yeah. Let it do its thing.
[30:51] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. This is the best smelling theater on Broadway.
[30:54] Kevin: Yeah. And there's real bacon on this stage.
[30:57] Jeremy Jordan: Of course. And then eventually at one point he like catches fire and likes, it's actually like gets burned. And then at the end, he like, the dog eats him because he's like, he's crispy bacon, kind of like bacon. And he, and the whole conundrum is like, this bacon is a pig, right, which is a living creature. But also Kevin Bacon was also living and tastes good too. So like, if I like bacon, am I also allowed to like the taste of Kevin Bacon as played by Jeremy Jordan? Like is like, what's the difference? It's like a whole vegan thing at the end.
[31:29] Kevin: I love it.
[31:29] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. At the end you're like, what is like, what's the, well, you know, cannibalism comes into effect. It's like, it's like, what is meat? You know, we're all just meat. And like, and then the dog, I think eventually decides like to donate his body to the study.
[31:46] Kevin: Now which one would be the Tony award winning role?
[31:48] Jeremy Jordan: How good dogs, bugs taste.
[31:50] Kevin: That's wrong.
[31:52] Jeremy Jordan: I went too far. Is the pug the Tony winning role or is Kevin Bacon played by Jeremy Jordan?
[31:58] Kevin: I think it's like the walk on role of like the, the small child played by like an older female actress.
[32:06] Jeremy Jordan: That's who wins the Tony.
[32:07] Kevin: Yeah, she wins.
[32:08] Jeremy Jordan: She wins. For putting the pug on her.
[32:10] Kevin: Glenda Jackson takes over for the little one.
[32:12] Jeremy Jordan: That's only question one.
[32:13] Kevin: Yeah, that was question one.
[32:15] All right, Jeremy, are you ready for question two?
[32:17] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I'm, I hope so. I don't know where I pulled that one.
[32:20] Kevin: All right, here we go. After you uttered the immortal lines, Shelby's dead on your episode of Law and Order SVU.
[32:29] Jeremy Jordan: Wait a minute, you're bringing this up again.
[32:31] Kevin: The world was shook.
[32:33] Jeremy Jordan: No, it wasn't. Shook is a phrase I've heard people are saying now, and I've tried to subtly adopt it into my vocabulary to sound like, to sound with it, even though I'm not 100% sure what it means.
[32:44] Kevin: Yeah.
[32:45] Jeremy Jordan: Like, I didn't know that thought, T-H-O-T, for a really long time, I kept using it. I use it like once or twice and people laugh, but I didn't realize that it actually means that hoe over there.
[32:56] Kevin: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[32:57] Jeremy Jordan: My question for you, Jeremy, is this. Can you please make up three new abbreviations that we should start using in common lingo?
[33:04] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, that's tough. Put-a-muh.
[33:09] Kevin: Put-a-muh.
[33:10] Jeremy Jordan: Put-a-mar.
[33:11] Kevin: Put-a-mar.
[33:11] Jeremy Jordan: Put-a-mar. Pass me the remote.
[33:14] Kevin: Good one.
[33:15] Jeremy Jordan: That is a good one. I like what your brain went to right away. How do I tell my wife to pass me the remote faster? Put-a-mrah.
[33:22] Kevin: Put-a-mrah.
[33:23] Jeremy Jordan: Put-mrah.
[33:24] Kevin: Put-mrah.
[33:25] Jeremy Jordan: That's a good one.
[33:26] Kevin: Yeah.
[33:29] Jeremy Jordan: I'm just going to make up a word.
[33:30] Kevin: Yeah.
[33:30] Jeremy Jordan: I'm just going to say a word and then make up something after I say it.
[33:36] Kevin: Click.
[33:37] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[33:38] Kevin: Okay.
[33:39] Jeremy Jordan: Which is short for?
[33:40] Kevin: Can't lions invent new kilns?
[33:51] Jeremy Jordan: No, it's clink. Because when I think of the old technology for making pottery.
[34:00] Kevin: It's still the technology.
[34:01] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. You got clink, man! I blame lions for it. Clink! Clink!
[34:07] Kevin: Clink!
[34:09] Jeremy Jordan: I just enrolled in this squash pit. 40 grand and it's our school. Clink, y'all! Clink, clink! Come on. I'm all with it.
[34:15] Kevin: And you have one more. I can't believe you have one more.
[34:25] Jeremy Jordan: Lamb.
[34:26] Kevin: Lamb.
[34:27] Jeremy Jordan: Lamb.
[34:27] Kevin: Look at my butt.
[34:36] Jeremy Jordan: I'm going to put that at the end of every tweet I ever write.
[34:52] Kevin: Lamb.
[34:55] Jeremy Jordan: Today's a beautiful day. Lamb.
[34:59] Kevin: All right.
[35:00] Jeremy Jordan: I just thought, look at my butt and it spells lamb. It just came out.
[35:05] Kevin: Oh, shucks.
[35:07] Jeremy Jordan: How is that not already there?
[35:08] Kevin: I've never seen you laugh that hard in my entire life.
[35:11] Jeremy Jordan: I'm really proud of you.
[35:12] Kevin: I'm really proud of you.
[35:15] Jeremy Jordan: Look at my butt.
[35:16] Kevin: Oh, shucks.
[35:18] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. We have one more question though.
[35:21] Kevin: I'm so excited.
[35:22] Jeremy Jordan: The best part. Look at my butt.
[35:28] Kevin: Okay. Here's the third question.
[35:32] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[35:36] Kevin: Oh, shucks.
[35:43] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. All right. All right, Jeremy. Continue with your stupid stream of consciousness.
[35:47] Kevin: Yes. Just one more.
[35:49] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. According to your Wikipedia page, you were an excellent student at Mary Carroll High School.
[35:58] Kevin: Ah, yes.
[35:58] Jeremy Jordan: And you were active in the choir.
[36:00] Kevin: Yeah.
[36:01] Jeremy Jordan: It then said she went to some college that I don't, I don't remember what it was called. The name slips my mind.
[36:06] Kevin: I simply can't recall.
[36:07] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, great. Total Recall was a movie about video games or robots or something. And I'm pretty sure it starred Jessica Biel.
[36:15] Kevin: Jessica Biel is married to Justin Timberlake.
[36:17] Jeremy Jordan: I just fell asleep during that movie.
[36:18] Kevin: It's not a good movie.
[36:19] Jeremy Jordan: Is it not a good movie?
[36:19] Kevin: No, the original's great.
[36:20] Jeremy Jordan: Was it?
[36:21] Kevin: Arnold Schwarzenegger's original.
[36:22] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. And it's based on a Philip Dick novel.
[36:23] Kevin: They made a new one?
[36:24] Jeremy Jordan: And then-
[36:25] Kevin: It was really hot in the theater though.
[36:26] Jeremy Jordan: Oh. Fair enough.
[36:28] Kevin: Is that what put you to sleep?
[36:29] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I think so. Plus it was boring.
[36:31] Kevin: Yeah.
[36:31] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, Colin Farrell's in it too?
[36:33] Kevin: Yeah.
[36:33] Jeremy Jordan: So it's not just Jessica Biel?
[36:35] Kevin: Right, right.
[36:36] Jeremy Jordan: But she's in it?
[36:36] Kevin: Yes.
[36:37] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, good. Question works. You thought she was the only person in the whole movie?
[36:40] Kevin: So Jessica Biel is married to Justin Timberlake, if I remember what I read in People Magazine around Christmas time when I flew home to Florida.
[36:47] Jeremy Jordan: They're still married.
[36:48] Kevin: Okay, good. They have a baby.
[36:49] Jeremy Jordan: Flo Rida is a rapper, singer, songwriter, and composer from Carroll City, Florida. See what I did there? Carroll High School, Carroll City.
[36:59] Kevin: Yeah, okay. Flo Rida.
[37:01] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, so here's my question. If you were cast as Cyclops in the musical adaptation of The X-Men, who would play the other mutants in your cast?
[37:13] Kevin: Where did that come from?
[37:14] Jeremy Jordan: I don't know, I was just, I don't know.
[37:17] Kevin: Okay, who's your, who's your-
[37:19] Jeremy Jordan: So you're Cyclops. You'd make a good Cyclops, actually.
[37:22] Kevin: Thank you.
[37:23] Jeremy Jordan: I thought he would be a good Cyclops.
[37:24] Kevin: Thank you.
[37:26] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I always want to do my hair like that, like that, like.
[37:30] Kevin: Yeah.
[37:31] Jeremy Jordan: I'm talking about, like, 90s Cyclops with, like, the butt cut.
[37:33] Kevin: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I'm talking about?
[37:36] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I'm into, I'm into that.
[37:38] Kevin: Okay, give me characters.
[37:39] Jeremy Jordan: So who would be your Jean Grey?
[37:41] Kevin: My Jean Grey would be Jesse Mueller.
[37:45] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[37:45] Kevin: Oh, nice.
[37:46] Jeremy Jordan: Who's your Wolverine?
[37:47] Kevin: My Wolverine is Andy Karl.
[37:50] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, yeah. That was a really good one.
[37:53] Kevin: Professor X.
[37:54] Jeremy Jordan: Professor X.
[37:55] Jeremy Jordan: Oh my god, this is really good. Who's playing Magneto? Magneto? Magneto is...
[38:05] Kevin: Oh. You know, Magneto is Steve Kazee. Because he beat you for the Tony?
[38:13] Jeremy Jordan: Sure, sure. This is the first name that came to mind. Rogue. Yeah, Rogue. Rogue. Rogue is Sierra Renee. And Storm. Storm. I mean, I guess I gotta go with LaChanze. That's a great choice. I never met her, but she seems like a Storm. I was thinking Heather Headley, but LaChanze is a good choice too. I've never met either of them, but I just... Absolutely. Who's your beast? Who's my beast? My beast... I feel like you have to get the nerdy guy, right? Yeah. The beast, right? So like, I'm gonna go with... I'm gonna go with Ben Platt.
[39:05] Kevin: Oh, that's a good choice. And then Mystique. Mystique. And Nightcrawler. I just love Nightcrawler. Mystique is...
[39:12] Jeremy Jordan: Casey Levy. Oh, yeah. Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler is...
[39:21] Kevin: Oh, Nightcrawler is Nick Cordero.
[39:28] Jeremy Jordan: Oh. Or you could have just had Alan Cumming.
[39:34] Kevin: Okay, so Jeremy, you successfully made it through. I know I made Nightcrawler very tall.
[39:37] Jeremy Jordan: Yes, you did. Oh, yeah. You're welcome. Well, you made it through Kevin's corner. Congratulations. Thanks, Kevin. Hashtag lamb.
[39:44] Kevin: I'm literally gonna say that every day. Hashtag lamb. As you're walking away. Hashtag lamb. Enjoy. And then walk away. Kevin already added it to all of his dating profiles.
[39:56] Jeremy Jordan: No, it's already on there. Another game? Yes. All right. This game is called Three Times a Lady.
[40:05] Kevin: Because you're three times on the show. I got it. I got it. Yeah, I got you. So we need the bells again.
[40:10] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, okay. Is this gonna add to our point total?
[40:16] Kevin: Yes. Oh, okay. I'll just read them. I can hear the bells. Mine should have different. I'll just read these. Okay, so I have cards of some leading lady roles. Okay, I'm gonna read one. And then you can buzz in and name three women who have played this.
[40:25] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, really, really good. I love this game. Try to make them easy enough.
[40:41] Kevin: Sure. Start with a good one. Ready? Yep. Glinda.
[40:48] Jeremy Jordan: Damn it. Okay. Kristen Chenoweth. Haley Petun. And Katie Rose Clark.
[41:00] Kevin: Yes. Great. So I'll give you the ones you get. Can I name three more and get a point?
[41:06] Jeremy Jordan: No. Okay. All right. Because with that show, we could really just keep going.
[41:10] Kevin: Yeah. Okay, ready? Dolly Levi.
[41:10] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Bette Midler. You also have Donna Murph. And you also have Bernadette Peters.
[41:20] Kevin: Yeah, you're naming modern day.
[41:27] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Three, baby. Ready? Yes. Donna Summer.
[41:27] Kevin: Oh, Storm. You have what's her last name? Lever?
[41:36] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Yeah. You have Storm Lashawns.
[41:36] Kevin: Whoa! What? My brain just went woo! Lashawns and Ariana.
[41:49] Jeremy Jordan: Nellie Forbush. Laura Osnes. Kelly O'Hara. And Mary Martin. Good one, Kevin. Are you playing Jeremy?
[41:57] Kevin: Ready? Carole King.
[42:07] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, God. Okay. So Jesse Mueller, Abby Mueller, and her name is Shalana Kennedy.
[42:13] Kevin: Yes. And Supergirl soon. Or she might. You know, I could have gotten that one really easy. Elphaba.
[42:22] Jeremy Jordan: Adina Menzel, Eden Espinoza, and uh, Jackie Byrnes. Lori Williams.
[42:27] Kevin: Lori's from Oklahoma.
[42:32] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, actually, I don't know if I know this.
[42:37] Kevin: You lose a point if you don't get it.
[42:37] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, um, Lori was, uh, yeah, this one's hard. This one is hard. Um, Lori.
[42:48] Kevin: Take that. Shirley Jones.
[42:55] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Um, I don't know. Were you in a high school production of it?
[42:59] Kevin: I don't know.
[43:04] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, point deducted. Anyone else?
[43:04] Kevin: Point deducted. Ready? Julie Jordan.
[43:11] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, I've only seen one version. I don't know. I just didn't want Kevin.
[43:18] Kevin: Oh. I got it. All right. So it's, uh, Sally Murphy, um, Jesse Mueller, and Shirley Jones.
[43:24] Jeremy Jordan: Sure. Shirley Jones again. Strikes again. Shit all those movies. Ready? Yeah. Sally Bowles.
[43:32] Kevin: Sally Bowles has been played by Kate Schindle.
[43:32] Jeremy Jordan: Just like Kevin Schor, though. Sally Bowles has been played by, um, uh, uh, Susan Egan. And Sally Bowles has been played by Barrett Wilbur Reed.
[43:45] Kevin: Barrett Wilbur Reed. Barrett Wilbur Reed. Barrett Wilbur Reed. That's how he said her name on the episode. The whole time. Barrett Wilbur Reed.
[43:48] Jeremy Jordan: Mama Rose. Brian.
[43:55] Kevin: Bernadette Peters. Uh-huh. Patti LuPone. And, uh, Emile DeStone.
[44:02] Jeremy Jordan: You're fine. Mame.
[44:02] Kevin: Oh god, okay. You're just, you're just preemptively striking, hoping that you're gonna know.
[44:06] Jeremy Jordan: Mame has been played by Angela Lansbury, Lucille Ball, and, uh, Beth Leavel. She's probably done it. Probably. I would say Paige Davis is about to do it, I'm not sure.
[44:16] Kevin: Oh. Fair enough. Belle.
[44:26] Jeremy Jordan: Susan Egan. Yep. Hermione.
[44:26] Kevin: Granger. Hermione Granger.
[44:30] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, I guess that was the musical. Yeah. What's her real name? Emma Watson. Thank you. And, um, Chrissy Carlson Romano.
[44:39] Kevin: Yes. Awesome. Uh, Roxy Hart.
[44:39] Jeremy Jordan: Uh, Gwen Verdon. Paige Davis. And, um, and, um, Melanie Griffith.
[44:50] Kevin: Yeah, all right. I saw Melanie Griffith too. It was my first time, first Broadway show I ever saw.
[44:54] Jeremy Jordan: Wait, really? Was Melanie Griffith in Chicago?
[44:58] Kevin: I think so. I think it was Melanie Griffith.
[44:58] Jeremy Jordan: Cool. That's hilarious. And I saw Rent too. The next one's Mimi from Rent.
[45:07] Kevin: I couldn't think of a third one.
[45:09] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, um, Mimi has been played by Daphne Ruben Vega.
[45:16] Kevin: Kevin doesn't think of the third one until he starts talking. It's Daphne Ruben Vega. It's been played by, uh, Rosario Dawson. And it's been played by, um, Renee Elise Goldsberry.
[45:23] Jeremy Jordan: Yes. Yeah. All right. How many did you get, Kevin? With my subtracting point, I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
[45:33] Kevin: Wow. I'm so sorry, guys. That was a hard one. I could have gotten a few of those if I had to, if given time.
[45:39] Jeremy Jordan: But Kevin would not allow for that.
[45:43] Kevin: I'm sorry. I was really into that. It's okay. It's okay.
[45:43] Jeremy Jordan: So you just finished with the third season of Supergirl.
[45:48] Kevin: Yes. As of this podcast air date.
[45:48] Jeremy Jordan: Yes. But not of this podcast recording.
[45:55] Kevin: No, that is true. Um. This isn't live, you guys. It's live to tape.
[45:55] Jeremy Jordan: Um, so we could talk about the finale a little bit, yeah?
[46:01] Kevin: Let's do it.
[46:01] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, let's do it. Okay. We didn't see it yet. So you have to tell us what happened last night.
[46:06] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. So last night on Supergirl, uh, spoiler alert, if you haven't seen it yet.
[46:10] Kevin: Oh, big spoiler alerts here, guys. So don't skip ahead 10 minutes.
[46:17] Jeremy Jordan: Skip ahead 10 minutes? No, five minutes. Skip ahead a bit.
[46:17] Kevin: Yeah. I'm just going to watch Kevin play.
[46:20] Jeremy Jordan: Um, okay. So on the finale of Supergirl, um, we've, we've defeated all the world killers that are dead. Uh-huh. They're all dead. Uh, yes. Rain has been separated from Samantha and Samantha can go and live her, her happy life.
[46:35] Kevin: And, uh, the Legion has come back in the final episode to, uh, because, uh, Manel has accidentally, he went to send a distress signal, but he thought it was broke. He thought the, the stress signal was broken, but it actually wasn't broken.
[46:44] Jeremy Jordan: And so they, they got his signal and they came and like, we're like, Hey, we shut up. And he's like, why'd you guys come here? And he's like, you sent a signal. I was like, did I? I don't think I did. They're like, well, we're here anyways. So I guess, Hey, um, and, uh, basically, yeah, basically there's been a, there's been a crazy, you know, shift in the future since we destroyed like all these world killers.
[47:10] Kevin: And so, uh, brainiac can no longer survive in the future.
[47:15] Jeremy Jordan: So he enlists, uh, Wynne and Manel to go to the future to, uh, to deal with the, to deal with the crazy bad guy, the real brainiac, like really evil dude. So Wynne gets to go to the future. That's my character.
[47:36] Kevin: Yeah.
[47:36] Jeremy Jordan: And, uh, live his full life, uh, in the future. Yeah. Like a thousand years in the future with Manel, his, his, his favorite bromance. And, uh, yeah. And that's where we kind of leave it off at the end of the season.
[47:50] Kevin: And, uh, it's, it's very sad. There's a big farewell and, you know, we're kind of left to wonder what the fates are and what, uh, what's going to happen.
[48:02] Jeremy Jordan: And you know, where you can find that out in season four.
[48:07] Kevin: I mean, and we mentioned it earlier in the podcast, but Laurie Metcalf played your mom this season.
[48:14] Jeremy Jordan: Laurie Metcalf. Laurie Metcalf played my mother. Uh, that was a really cool episode 14 this season. Yeah, it was great.
[48:18] Kevin: Uh, you know, we, I got to have another Wynne episode, which we really haven't had since season one. So it was really great to kind of get to, you know, get to tell a bit of his story.
[48:28] Jeremy Jordan: And, uh, we found out about his past and what happened after his father went crazy and killed a bunch of people. And, uh, it turns out Laurie Metcalf, his, was his mom and abandoned him because she was afraid that if she sort of had any communication with him, that, that his father would find some way to kill him.
[48:39] Kevin: And, uh, so they, you know, they reconnect and it's very dramatic and ultimately, you know, fun at the end and just karaoke moment and working.
[48:56] Jeremy Jordan: Well, there has to be.
[48:56] Kevin: Yeah.
[48:56] Jeremy Jordan: Well, it's really interesting because I really wanted to get, I came out for pilot season three years ago when I got Subaru because I wanted to get something. I wanted to do something that didn't have to do with my voice because every project that I've ever done, save from the very first thing I ever did, which was little doll laughed.
[49:16] Jeremy Jordan: Um, but that was in 2008, everything that I've done since then has been because I could sing and there's nothing wrong with that. But like, I needed to prove to myself that I was more than just like the dude that can sing. And so like, I got this show and I was like, okay, well, I'm gonna, you know, I'm an actor now. Like, I'm like, that's what I'm going to do for this.
[49:36] Kevin: And eventually they're like, oh, he can sing this thing and we have to put through the musical episode and this sort of thing.
[49:40] Jeremy Jordan: So like, I, I tried to kind of shy away from that because I feel like the second I start singing on the show, that's all anybody's going to remember. And if it's a big episode about me and like, I get to have some cool dramatic arc, people are just going to remember the singing.
[49:53] Kevin: Yeah. And I just go to YouTube.
[49:53] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. It's good. You know what they say? Lamb. Ah, you know?
[50:01] Kevin: Yeah. Just lamb.
[50:01] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Go to YouTube and lamb. And lamb. Um, but working with her was super cool. There was one picture that I posted of me and Laurie Metcalf where my, my, uh, butt was very defined.
[50:11] Kevin: Oh yeah.
[50:11] Jeremy Jordan: I didn't realize it until people started commenting like, but, but, but like the little, the little peach emoji that looks like a butt. I was like, what are you guys talking about? I was like, oh, okay, well there's definitely a butt in that picture, but I was, you know, I'm not looking at my butt, but now hashtag lamb. I check my butt out every photo before I post it.
[50:33] Jeremy Jordan: This game's called Three's Company.
[51:04] Bryan: Checking my buzzer.
[51:05] Kevin: Okay, it does work. You didn't hear it last game.
[51:07] Kimberly: This one doesn't have buzzers. This one you all need a pen.
[51:10] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, great.
[51:11] Bryan: Then I need a pencil. I need something to write on.
[51:13] Kimberly: I need a pencil. I can't actually form, like, legitimate sentences.
[51:18] Jeremy Jordan: I would actually like to watch you write with a pen on a pencil.
[51:22] Bryan: I got this pen, but now I need a pencil to write on!
[51:27] Kimberly: Oh dear.
[51:29] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, this game's called Three's Company.
[51:40] Bryan: Okay, this is called Three's Company.
[51:43] Kimberly: Okay.
[51:44] Jeremy Jordan: And so, it's kind of apples-to-apples-y. So, what you're going to do is, one person at a time will draw three cards from the show card deck and read them aloud. And then the three people who didn't draw cards will write down a show they would like to see those three people in.
[52:01] Bryan: Okay.
[52:02] Kimberly: Together.
[52:03] Jeremy Jordan: Together. Like, where those three people would fit in a show together.
[52:08] Bryan: And then we'll hand them to whoever's turn it is, they'll pick the best choice.
[52:11] Kimberly: Okay, so like apples-to-apples.
[52:13] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, so it's apples-to-apples, but you make up your own answers.
[52:15] Bryan: Fair enough.
[52:16] Jeremy Jordan: And you pick three cards.
[52:17] Bryan: Alright, I'll start.
[52:18] Jeremy Jordan: Three.
[52:19] Bryan: Okay.
[52:20] Jeremy Jordan: Hunter Foster, Nick Cordero, and Bryce Pinkham.
[52:25] Kimberly: Alright, so.
[52:27] Bryan: Like, an already existing show, right?
[52:29] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[52:30] Kimberly: Yeah.
[52:31] Bryan: I don't think you can write an entire show on an index card, Kevin.
[52:33] Kevin: Well, that would be a really great Three Stages musical.
[52:37] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, they have birthdays on here.
[52:38] Kimberly: Oh, you could do something. Like, you could dreamcast an existing property as a musical.
[52:41] Bryan: Oh, okay. That's fine.
[52:43] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, so Nick's answer was Three's Company.
[52:48] Kimberly: Wait, whose answer?
[52:49] Bryan: Oh, wait, that's not your answer.
[52:50] Jeremy Jordan: That was the name of the show.
[52:51] Kimberly: Yeah, that was the name of the game I wrote in the front.
[52:53] Bryan: That was not your answer for Three's Company.
[52:56] Jeremy Jordan: I thought that was clever.
[52:57] Kimberly: Oh, but that's not a musical.
[52:59] Jeremy Jordan: That's not a musical, but you actually said Full Monty.
[53:01] Bryan: I did.
[53:02] Kimberly: Um, Three Men and the Little Lady, the musical.
[53:06] Jeremy Jordan: Is that a thing?
[53:07] Bryan: Now it is.
[53:08] Jeremy Jordan: Now it is.
[53:09] Kimberly: In Bryan's mind.
[53:10] Bryan: Sweet Charity.
[53:11] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, as the girls.
[53:13] Kimberly: Whoa.
[53:14] Jeremy Jordan: Whoa.
[53:15] Kimberly: Bryce's Charity?
[53:17] Jeremy Jordan: Think about it.
[53:18] Kimberly: Hmm.
[53:19] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, Sweet Charity wins.
[53:21] Kimberly: Yes!
[53:22] Jeremy Jordan: Sweet Charity wins.
[53:23] Kimberly: Sorry.
[53:24] Bryan: Sorry.
[53:25] Kimberly: Nick, you don't win just because.
[53:26] Bryan: Nick?
[53:27] Kimberly: Why are you calling him Nick?
[53:28] Bryan: Why am I calling you Nick?
[53:29] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, because you wrote Nick Cordero.
[53:30] Bryan: Nick Cordero. Sorry.
[53:32] Kimberly: Kevin, you look like Nick Cordero.
[53:33] Jeremy Jordan: I don't know your corner.
[53:34] Bryan: Why do I keep calling you Nick?
[53:35] Kimberly: I don't know.
[53:36] Jeremy Jordan: Kevin.
[53:37] Bryan: I was in your corner for so long.
[53:39] Kimberly: I know. I felt really sad.
[53:41] Jeremy Jordan: I was like, whose corner did you think you were in?
[53:42] Bryan: I don't know.
[53:43] Kimberly: Were you thinking of someone else's corner while you were in my corner?
[53:45] Jeremy Jordan: Listen, I think I met Nick Cordero once, and I've said his name like 17 times in this podcast. So you're welcome.
[53:48] Bryan: Okay, I have.
[53:49] Jeremy Jordan: I have.
[53:50] Kimberly: I have.
[53:51] Bryan: I have.
[53:52] Jeremy Jordan: I have.
[53:53] Kimberly: Yes, you do.
[53:54] Jeremy Jordan: Let's have a go.
[53:58] Jeremy Jordan: Okay, I have Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Bob Fosse, and Karen Olivo.
[54:04] Kimberly: Kiss of the Spider Woman.
[54:07] Jeremy Jordan: That's a good one.
[54:08] Kimberly: She would be a great Spiderwoman.
[54:09] Jeremy Jordan: What?
[54:10] Kimberly: Who Spiderwoman?
[54:11] Jeremy Jordan: Spooderwoman?
[54:12] Kimberly: Spooderwoman? And then just imagine Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Bob Fosse opposite each other and that weird social tension.
[54:17] Jeremy Jordan: I'd do anything for him.
[54:18] Kimberly: I'm in it.
[54:19] Jeremy Jordan: I'm in.
[54:20] Kimberly: Yes.
[54:21] Jeremy Jordan: Merrily, we roll along, which I would love.
[54:24] Kimberly: Kevin, did you just write that?
[54:26] Kevin: I did.
[54:27] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[54:29] Bryan: And Brian says pajama game.
[54:30] Kimberly: Okay.
[54:31] Jeremy Jordan: Joshua would be very funny.
[54:34] Kimberly: But I would watch anyone do Merrily, we roll along.
[54:38] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah!
[54:39] Kimberly: Okay.
[54:40] Jeremy Jordan: Carrie Butler, Jackie Hoffman, and Raul Esparza.
[54:49] Bryan: Brian knows.
[54:50] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[54:51] Bryan: Carrie Butler.
[54:52] Jeremy Jordan: Say it again?
[54:53] Bryan: Jackie Hoffman.
[54:55] Jeremy Jordan: Jackie Hoffman and Raul Esparza.
[54:56] Kimberly: Jeremy's adding notes about specific casting.
[54:57] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, well, it makes sense.
[54:58] Bryan: You have to.
[54:59] Jeremy Jordan: You have to.
[55:00] Jeremy Jordan: So, I've already picked my answer, so I'm going to read it in the also-rans. So, the first also-rans, it's a great choice, is Monster-in-Law, the musical.
[55:02] Kimberly: Ooh!
[55:03] Jeremy Jordan: That Jennifer Lopez movie. But that would be a really good one. You're welcome.
[55:06] Kimberly: Okay.
[55:07] Jeremy Jordan: The second one that came really close to my heart. I'm going to read it.
[55:08] Kimberly: I'm going to read it.
[55:09] Jeremy Jordan: I'm going to read it.
[55:10] Kimberly: I'm going to read it.
[55:11] Jeremy Jordan: I'm going to read it.
[55:12] Kimberly: I'm going to read it.
[55:13] Jeremy Jordan: I'm going to read it.
[55:14] Kimberly: I'm going to read it.
[55:15] Jeremy Jordan: I'm going to read it.
[55:46] Bryan: Why is Daddy Warbucks in Oliver?
[55:47] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, wait. I win.
[55:49] Kimberly: It doesn't matter.
[55:50] Jeremy Jordan: I win.
[55:51] Kimberly: I win.
[55:52] Jeremy Jordan: You did it.
[55:53] Kimberly: Oh, oh. That was incredible.
[55:55] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, my gosh. Fagan in Oliver.
[55:56] Kimberly: Oh, God.
[55:58] Jeremy Jordan: I played the Artful Dodger in high school.
[55:59] Kimberly: Did you really?
[56:00] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, but I was like, what is that song that he sings? Don't City Yourself.
[56:01] Kimberly: Oh, yeah.
[56:03] Jeremy Jordan: But I was like a baritone in the junior.
[56:04] Kimberly: Oh, no.
[56:05] Jeremy Jordan: Don't City Yourself. I was like a baritone.
[56:06] Kimberly: Oh, no.
[56:07] Jeremy Jordan: I was like a baritone.
[56:08] Kimberly: Oh, no.
[56:09] Jeremy Jordan: I was like a baritone.
[56:10] Kimberly: Oh, yeah.
[56:13] Jeremy Jordan: But I was like a baritone in the junior.
[56:14] Kimberly: Oh, no.
[56:15] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, no.
[56:16] Kimberly: Don't City Yourself.
[56:17] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, no. It was very low.
[56:19] Kimberly: Oh, you did very low.
[56:20] Jeremy Jordan: Jesse Mueller.
[56:21] Kimberly: Oh.
[56:22] Jeremy Jordan: Tyne Daly and Barrett Doss.
[56:23] Kimberly: Okay.
[56:24] Jeremy Jordan: Okay. We have...
[56:25] Kimberly: I'm going to go with the one that makes no sense and makes me laugh.
[56:30] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[56:31] Kimberly: Which is Grease.
[56:32] Jeremy Jordan: I would see that.
[56:33] Kimberly: Oh, actually, Tyne Daly is with The Principal.
[56:36] Jeremy Jordan: Okay.
[56:37] Kimberly: Bum, bum, bum.
[56:38] Jeremy Jordan: Barrett Doss is... I mean, any of them, probably Rizzo.
[56:41] Kimberly: Yeah.
[56:42] Jeremy Jordan: And then Jesse Mueller as Sandy.
[56:43] Kimberly: Nick, why would you write that?
[56:45] Kevin: I don't know.
[56:46] Jeremy Jordan: It's so weird.
[56:47] Kimberly: Hello!
[56:48] Kevin: Nick, man.
[56:49] Kimberly: Hello!
[56:50] Jeremy Jordan: The one that made me laugh the most was Tyne Daly, Jesse Mueller, and Barrett Doss can star in The Cher Show.
[56:55] Kimberly: I would see the three of them and play in Cher at different points.
[57:01] Jeremy Jordan: But the show that I really do want to see them all in is The Devil Wears Prada, the musical.
[57:04] Kimberly: Yeah!
[57:06] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, that would be a good one.
[57:07] Kimberly: We're just making up shows.
[57:08] Jeremy Jordan: No, Devil Wears Prada is in pre-production.
[57:09] Kimberly: Okay, fair enough.
[57:11] Jeremy Jordan: I've been in Vancouver, you guys.
[57:13] Kimberly: No, but you're doing a show with your wife.
[57:17] Jeremy Jordan: I am!
[57:18] Kimberly: Tell us about that.
[57:19] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, tell us about it.
[57:20] Kimberly: Sweet segue!
[57:21] Jeremy Jordan: Sweet segue! July 16th and 17th, we're doing a show at Sony Hall, which is a new venue, but it's like an old venue. It's where Queen of the Night used to be.
[57:31] Kimberly: Uh-huh.
[57:32] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, yeah. That's where it was. It's like an old-school, cool seating. It's great. It's like 400-something seats.
[57:40] Kimberly: Oh, wow.
[57:41] Jeremy Jordan: It's really cool. So, yeah, we're doing a show, just the two of us. We've always wanted to do a show together, and we've tried to make it happen a couple times and it's never really worked out because, you know...
[57:55] Kimberly: Just schedules and everything.
[57:57] Jeremy Jordan: No, not even schedules. It's like finding the right thing that's either already running or being in production without starting from scratch.
[58:04] Kimberly: Right.
[58:06] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. Which we haven't really gone that way yet. And it hasn't worked out yet, so we decided, you know what? Let's just have fun and go do a duo show. She's always starred in my solo shows and she's incredible and really super talented and I really want everybody to see her. And it's a good excuse for us to tell some fun, stupid stories about our dog and our life together and just belt our faces off. In fact, we were working on some stuff today and, you know, it's not going to be a super serious thing. We're just going to have fun and have a great time.
[58:45] Kimberly: Cool.
[58:46] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah. It's going to be a lot of fun. 7.30, called Starring Opposite You.
[58:52] Kimberly: Starring Opposite You.
[58:53] Jeremy Jordan: You can get tickets on Ticketmaster or go to Jeremy's Instagram.
[58:56] Kimberly: Go to my Instagram from where else?
[58:58] Jeremy Jordan: And to Lam.
[59:00] Kimberly: Yeah.
[59:02] Jeremy Jordan: You know what? I'm going to do it right now. In my profile, I'm just going to put hashtag Lam and see if anybody figures out what that is. I want to see if they figure out what it means before this airs.
[59:14] Kimberly: How do I edit my profile?
[59:16] Jeremy Jordan: I know how to do it.
[59:17] Kimberly: Okay.
[59:18] Jeremy Jordan: Continue.
[59:19] Kimberly: I know how to do it.
[59:20] Jeremy Jordan: I know how to do it.
[59:21] Kimberly: Ask Nick.
[59:23] Jeremy Jordan: Nick knows how to do it.
[59:24] Kimberly: This is my Instagram buyer. Actor. Songster. Nerd. Ashley's husband. Riley's dad. Broadway's baby. Pizza's lover. Hashtag Lam.
[59:35] Jeremy Jordan: Lam. Lam. Nobody's going to know. And it's so amazing. And they're going to be wondering what it is. And then they're going to hear this podcast. And they're finally going to figure it out.
[59:41] Bryan: Amazing. Well, that brings us to the end of our episode.
[59:42] Kimberly: It does.
[59:43] Bryan: Who won?
[59:44] Jeremy Jordan: Oh.
[59:45] Kevin: Kevin destroyed us.
[59:46] Bryan: Wait. Did we do that again?
[59:48] Kimberly: No.
[59:49] Jeremy Jordan: No.
[59:50] Bryan: No.
[59:51] Kimberly: No.
[59:52] Jeremy Jordan: No.
[59:53] Bryan: Kevin destroyed us.
[59:55] Jeremy Jordan: Kevin destroyed us.
[59:56] Kimberly: Wait. Did we do the games for this?
[59:58] Bryan: I don't know.
[59:59] Jeremy Jordan: I won, too.
[1:00:00] Kimberly: I don't think that you win.
[1:00:01] Jeremy Jordan: Oh, you did win this.
[1:00:02] Kimberly: It doesn't matter. Kevin destroyed everyone.
[1:00:04] Bryan: Yeah. That's true.
[1:00:05] Jeremy Jordan: Kevin had, Jeremy had three going to that last round. Kevin had 12.
[1:00:07] Kimberly: And I had five.
[1:00:09] Jeremy Jordan: So there's no way.
[1:00:10] Kimberly: So Kevin won.
[1:00:11] Jeremy Jordan: Kevin won by a lot.
[1:00:12] Kimberly: I know my ladies.
[1:00:13] Jeremy Jordan: My ladies at the Broadway.
[1:00:14] Kimberly: Cheers, Kevin.
[1:00:15] Jeremy Jordan: Thank you.
[1:00:16] Kimberly: Good job.
[1:00:17] Jeremy Jordan: Cheers.
[1:00:18] Kimberly: Yeah, those were all women.
[1:00:19] Jeremy Jordan: They were women.
[1:00:20] Kimberly: Those were all women roles.
[1:00:21] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[1:00:22] Kimberly: Three times a lady.
[1:00:24] Jeremy Jordan: That makes sense.
[1:00:25] Kimberly: But thanks for joining us again.
[1:00:26] Jeremy Jordan: Thank you.
[1:00:27] Kimberly: Thanks for buying me this rum.
[1:00:28] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[1:00:29] Kimberly: And I honestly haven't drank that much of it, but it doesn't take much.
[1:00:33] Jeremy Jordan: As they fly.
[1:00:36] Kimberly: Well, we end every episode with a quote.
[1:00:38] Jeremy Jordan: We do.
[1:00:39] Kimberly: Let's hear it.
[1:00:40] Jeremy Jordan: And today's quote is, it's friendship, friendship, just a perfect blenship. When other friendships have ceased to gel, ours will still be swell.
[1:00:46] Kimberly: A lot, a lot, a lot of hep, hep, hep.
[1:00:51] Jeremy Jordan: I'm so glad you left that in.
[1:00:52] Kimberly: Yes.
[1:00:53] Jeremy Jordan: And blenship.
[1:00:54] Kimberly: And blenship.
[1:00:55] Jeremy Jordan: One of the quintessential rhymes of the century.
[1:00:57] Kimberly: Yeah.
[1:00:58] Jeremy Jordan: But don't forget, this episode is sponsored by our friends at Goldstar. Remember, you can get already discounted theater tickets at Goldstar.

[1:01:12] Jeremy Jordan: We like Broadway.
[1:01:14] Kimberly: We like Broadway.
[1:01:15] Jeremy Jordan: But it's also like.
[1:01:16] Kimberly: It's also like blanks.
[1:01:19] Jeremy Jordan: Baby.
[1:01:20] Kimberly: Frozen.
[1:01:22] Jeremy Jordan: Broadway.
[1:01:23] Kimberly: Oh, I see, I see.
[1:01:24] Jeremy Jordan: Why do you keep trying to make us say Disney when the whole point of the game is that we say Broadway?
[1:01:28] Kimberly: No, that one I came up with at the top of the dome.
[1:01:30] Jeremy Jordan: It was not good.
[1:01:31] Kimberly: The top of the dome.
[1:01:32] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah.
[1:01:33] Kimberly: The prince of blank.
[1:01:35] Jeremy Jordan: Broadway.
[1:01:36] Kimberly: Egypt.
[1:01:37] Jeremy Jordan: Yeah, I know, I know. That one's not a good one.
[1:01:39] Kimberly: Blank baby.
[1:01:40] Jeremy Jordan: They say the neon lights are bright on.
[1:01:42] Kimberly: Broadway.
[1:01:43] Jeremy Jordan: Times Square.
[1:01:44] Kimberly: On blank.
[1:01:45] Jeremy Jordan: Broadway.
