[0:00] Andrew: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee.

[0:09] Abby: There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me.

[0:18] Andrew: Glacket by Glacket, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one.

[0:26] Andrew: Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.

[0:35] Andrew: Hey, it's this month's live stream and I'm joined by fan favorite of the Glacket, uh, I would say the people's Glacket princess, um, I'm talking about Abby.

[0:46] Abby: Hello? What's up party people?

[0:50] Abby: What's up party people? If you know, you know.

[0:54] Abby: You know, you know.

[0:56] Andrew: How is everything going?

[0:57] Abby: You know, life is doing what it does. I am out of New York. I'm in a new place for just a little bit, a little time. That's been nice. And I've been coming back to New York like quite frequently, so it doesn't like really feel like I left. But um, it's been cool. It's been chill. I'm just chilling, relaxing, chillaxing.

[1:18] Andrew: Also, I want to bring up the fact you were included in Wicked like marketing.

[1:25] Abby: I absolutely was. I absolutely, listen, imagine my shock. So let me tell you this story. So yeah.

[1:32] Abby: For the past, since Wicked has come out, I've just been, you know, tweeting on my ass saying whatever I want to because it's my account. I can do what I want. So I'm tweeting about whatever I want. And people love you for it.

[1:41] Abby: I hope so. I hope so. And here I am. I just tweeted something and then under I said like the Wicked for a good trailer is like, it's so close I can taste it. I was just being delusional.

[1:53] Abby: Anyways, that was months ago. Well, not months, but probably weeks before they used it. I wake up in the morning. My Twitter's going crazy. I'm like, what? What happened? Like who died? Who got born? Like, cool. What's happening? They're like, you're in the...

[2:08] Abby: I'm like, I'm in the what? Boom. I go and check. Third person. Who's there? Sans Breadsticks.

[2:18] Abby: My tweet. Me. Oh my God.

[2:22] Abby: Sans Breadsticks finally getting its day in the sun.

[2:25] Andrew: And then?

[2:26] Abby: I'm not saying, no, this isn't actually the first time Sans Breadsticks has had their day in the sun. Sans Breadsticks has been out in the sun.

[2:35] Abby: I've been seen a couple of times. I've been a couple of times, but I got posted and it wasn't like, oh, like just like a whoosh. I was like there for like, I had a good amount of time to myself. You know what I'm saying? Like it was a clear screenshot and then it was reposted on Cynthia and Ariana's pages. And I was like, oh my God, like stop it. I'm immortalized. I'm immortalized.

[2:54] Abby: And then a couple of weeks later I met Cynthia Erivo at a signing. We have a picture together. That's huge. I think we're best friends. I don't know. I don't know. This is major. But like also the Naya, the Santana PFP, of course used in Wicked materials now canonically. It's huge all around. In a way she exists in the world of Wicked. Like I'm like, I'm taking her with me wherever I go. Do you understand? Like that PFP, it will always be Naya and or Santana. It's all connected. It will always be.

[3:31] Andrew: Wait, the PFP, is it currently still Lady is a Tramp? Santana?

[3:41] Abby: Right now it's Naya as like when she was doing this show, like in her teens that never got aired and she's like punching, like about to punch the screen like a joke. It was like supposed to be like some like sleepover-esque type girly, it's called Pajama Rama, something like that. You can look it up. But that's what it is right now. Actually at the time, I don't know if it was my, I don't know what picture it is. In the Wicked? Yeah. Is it? I think that's Lady is a Tramp where she's like disgruntled. I think it probably is.

[4:09] Andrew: Probably. Yeah.

[4:15] Abby: There's no way of checking. There's no way of knowing for sure. We definitely can't go to Ariana or Cynthia's page. We literally can't even go to the Wicked movie page right now.

[4:24] Andrew: No, no. Well, we can't. It's whatever. But yeah, that was cool. But it's huge. And I was, this is all happening. Well, and nobody gives a shit, but I'm going to say it anyways. I was studying for, I've been gone for so long because I was studying for the worst test to ever exist. I was in my dedicated period to study for an exam. And literally I was studying from May to like, well, and like, yeah, May to the end of June, literally went to die. But in the midst of that, I was doing shit that I wasn't supposed to be doing. Like I should not have gone to go see Cynthia Erivo. I should not have been on Twitter a lot. But at the end of the day, I had to put me first and I passed the test. I did well on the test and it all worked out in the end. I'm very proud of myself because that test was nine hours long. I literally wanted, I got two hours of sleep. I wanted to die, but I made it. Nothing could stop me.

[5:20] Andrew: This is the test, of course, that you talked to Kevin and Jenna from the hit Fox show Glee about.

[5:24] Abby: Yes. It was a second part to that test. That's even worse. It was worse.

[5:27] Andrew: Oh God. Wait, why am I blanking? This is shows exactly the path that I chose in my life. Why am I blanking on the name of this test that it's for medical professionals?

[5:36] Abby: Yes. In medical school, you have to take two tests while you're in medical school and they're called step one and step two.

[5:46] Abby: No. What am I thinking of? The bar. I don't know.

[5:50] Andrew: The bar. No.

[5:51] Abby: USMLE. MCAT? Oh, somebody said MCAT.

[5:55] Abby: Oh, MCAT. Yeah. I didn't take that.

[5:57] Andrew: There we go. I didn't take that.

[6:00] Abby: Amazing. Well, I'm very happy to have you here. I believe that you have not listened to today's Dianna interview. Would you like to tell you what you really missed?

[6:12] Abby: Tell me what I really missed. Well, and this is what you really missed.

[6:20] Andrew: And that's what you really missed. Wait, can I first ask you, this announcement yesterday that Dianna would be on not only today's episode we're recording on Monday, August 11th, but she'll also be on the Thursday episode as well.

[6:37] Abby: This really did rock my world in a way that like I knew that I was expecting, like at the end of the Dijon episode where Jenna was like one of the biggest, like the most requested guests is coming on next week. And of course, I'm not letting it go to my head because I know that my episode is coming out directly after Dianna Agron. So I know I'm like, I felt confident that, of course, Jenna Auschwitz is not talking about me.

[7:08] Andrew: She could have been.

[7:10] Abby: Hey, but the Dianna announcement yesterday, I texted their producer Sam about it because this announcement video that they made of her joining the Zoom call, I just thought was like incredibly well crafted. It got me. It did all of the things that it should have done. It got me very, very excited. But what was your reaction when you saw the news? You heard that she was going to be doing this?

[7:34] Andrew: I immediately thought, oh, Alexa and Andrew are probably so excited right now.

[7:42] Abby: But not you.

[7:44] Andrew: I was like, well, first off, I was more like shocked. I was like, they found her.

[7:51] Andrew: I was like, they're never going to get her on here. Like, she's avoiding this thing like the plague. I was like, the show's ended. Like, I don't know. I don't know if Ms. Mams getting on here. And so when I, I feel like when I saw it, it felt akin to like, I'm sure to like when like Marvel fans get like a new sneak peek to a Marvel movie. That's what it felt like.

[8:12] Abby: That's like, this is probably what everybody's experiencing right now.

[8:15] Andrew: And then I went, I went to the like, through the chat. And my ass, you know, my phone is always delayed. You guys have been talking about it for like eight years. By that point, it was like 10 minutes. And I was like, oh, this is and then Alexa predicted very accurately that it'd be a two parter. The first part would be like 31 minutes. And it's like probably 20.

[8:33] Abby: Yeah, on the nose.

[8:36] Andrew: Always on the pulse.

[8:39] Abby: Yeah, on the nose. Yeah, on the pulse. Yeah, I feel like it was it was I felt like in the same way I felt about Dijon. I was like, okay, we're finally like, we're rounding up everybody.

[8:51] Andrew: It felt like getting Pokémon. Like, that's what it seems like.

[8:54] Abby: No, I because like, this is like how my brain works as well. Where I'm like, in my head, I'm like looking at the cast picture of I lived, you know what I mean? And I'm looking at all of them. And I'm like, okay, we got this person, we got this one, we didn't get this one, because they don't talk to that person. And that's never going to happen.

[9:16] Abby: Oh, and we're not going to talk to that person either, because we don't talk to that person.

[9:22] Andrew: But you know, like Dijon, I was like, that was that was really exciting for me. I was like, I was a little ahead of the curve. If I do say so myself, I noticed that Dijon was liking a few posts. Before he was coming on. I was like, oh, it's happening.

[9:40] Abby: I sniffed Dijon. And you know what? But you know what this Dijon Dianna pairing? There's something listen, and listen, what have I been saying for the past year? Rutherbrae, Quinn and Matt, that is a ship for the ages. I built that ship brick by brick. I did that.

[10:10] Andrew: Wait, can you remind me because you are the person to ask about this. What are notable Dijon, Matt and Quinn interactions?

[10:21] Abby: Well, you have to look at the background. Okay. One.

[10:25] Abby: What's a you got it? During that song Bust A Move, right? They're like, they're dancing together. It's a lot of background moments. It's him crying in the background. I understand that it's not at the foreground.

[10:35] Abby: It's him in the background when like, she's like, man, who told you and he's like, about to cry because he cares about his girl like he literally does.

[10:47] Abby: They stand next to each other during I lived that that's because they're together at this point. They like after he does the kick thing, he goes to stand next to her.

[10:52] Abby: Yeah, he during to serve with love. They sit next to each other. There's eyes, there's eye contact being made kind of I think if I didn't imagine that.

[11:02] Abby: Yeah, that's how I discovered that I was watching as one does to serve with love. And I saw them next to each other. And I was like, they're kind of cute together. And that's, that's pretty much how it started.

[11:15] Andrew: Do I really do like the idea that they're together? And I lived because I really, I watched, I watched series finale. Last week, in anticipation of the recording that I had with Kevin and Jenna, I watched the pilot, by the way. Sorry. Congrats to you.

[11:34] Abby: Thank you. It was a very, very fun recording. I cannot wait for people to hear it. But of course, when you hear this episode, it will already be available. So go listen. But the pilot, I watched the pilot and the series finale back to back. And in the series finale, I was like, the way that like Puck and Quinn are kind of like staged. They're not together.

[11:56] Abby: They're not. Listen, from the beginning of season six, you can tell they're not together. It did not work out between them. But they do have like, they have like some moments and like jagged little tapestry. I think I could only think of like, um, when he's holding her hand.

[12:11] Andrew: Yeah.

[12:15] Abby: No, listen, it gives like, oh, we tried it, but it's not gonna work. Do you know what I mean?

[12:20] Abby: Like, yeah, like, we just like decided, like, like, I don't want to fucking be with Puck. Like, I don't know. I'm not thinking about what Puck was thinking. But she's like, you know, I'm in Yale and Puck is, it's long distance. It's not gonna work.

[12:29] Andrew: So what do you think? Okay, so like, I don't know if you've maybe even put this much thought into it. Maybe you have. But it's possible.

[12:35] Abby: Uh, where do you think, um, Matt and Quinn reconnected, uh, in anticipation for I Lived?

[12:42] Abby: Andrew, I've already written this. It's on my Twitter.

[12:48] Andrew: Yeah. See, they, Matt goes to Yale.

[12:54] Abby: That's how they rekindled. Do you understand? Of course, he would go to Yale. Yes, of course he would go to Yale.

[12:58] Abby: He's, he's quiet, but he's smart. He got a football scholarship. No, he didn't. He's quietly, he's like, uh, yeah, he's quietly like he's making plans. He's going to school for, uh, law, for sports law. And that's where they met at Yale. And she's like, Matt, he's like Quinn. And then they hit off their friends. Right. And then he helps her through her breakup with Puck. And he's like, oh, well, like, you know, stop sobbing. Like, let's go out. Let's get some ice cream, you know, some movies. They're, they're besties. You know, they're besties before the Puck and Quinn got together. Actually, he even was like, Quinn, give Puck a chance. I hate Viv. And she was calling him up on the phone, telling him about all the stuff that was going on during the, you know, the final week of the Glee Club.

[13:44] Abby: Okay. But then they end up getting together a classic friends to lover type of situation.

[13:48] Abby: And that's how they're together. I lived for that. I do also feel like maybe they're also like really good for each other because I feel like in my head they're both bi. What do we think? Not to say that just bi people are perfect for each other, but I just think that maybe they understand each other in a way. They understand each other in a way. He understands her. He understands her weird homoerotic relationship with Rachel. He's like, yeah, I love that you and Satina got together. That tension was crazy. She understands his tension with Mike. That tension with Mike, it will always be there. Unrequited, yeah. Unrequited. He did in fact have a crush on Mike. Mike was with Brittany in season one.

Between Santana and Puck's little rendezvous, her other beard was Matt, but Matt knew. He's like, Santana is gay, so they never really did anything, but they're like this. They're like best friends with the boyfriend, girlfriend. But what really is happening here is that Quinn and Matt... No, no, no. Stay. Serious. Stop. Sorry. Quinn and Matt understand each other on a different level. He's the cool to her. She can be fiery sometimes. She can be a little just like Quinn, but sometimes she's chill, but sometimes she's not. She needs Matt to tell her to relax. Also, I'm going to say it. I think they'd be in an open relationship too. I think they'd be like, you know what? Fine. But then at the beginning of their stages, at the beginning stages, you know what I'm saying?

But at a point, they'd lock down and then they'd be like, let's get married. Then they'd get married. I also think you were talking about Matt being very helpful to Quinn during the Quinn and Puck breakup that we know to have happened. I think that Puck, just building this out a little bit, I think that Puck gets kind of scary when the breakup happens. I think that he doesn't take it very well. I think that Matt is very protective. He can understand. I don't know. They get each other. They get each other. He's seen Quinn at her beginnings. Do you know what I mean? Like they went through the pregnancy. He saw Quinn and Puck's relationship in season one. Do you know what I mean? As a matter of fact, I'd like to retract what I said earlier about him being supportive of Quinn getting with Puck.

It's not that he was supportive of them getting together. It's more like he just wanted her away from Biff because Biff was just so terrible. He's like, whatever, go with Puck if that's what you want. But he really does have a distaste for Puck because Puck was so terrible to her in season one. There's a clip that was cut that's hilarious where I think it's for Hello and Quinn and Puck are standing with each other. Yes. We've talked about this before. Yeah. We're officially dating. And then what is like Brittany has a line? She says something and he winks at her and Quinn looks at him. And Matt noticed that. He was like, that's nasty. I don't like that. That's nasty. Don't do her like this. Why would you ever do that? Yeah.

[17:31] Abby: That answers my question. And I think that that perfectly kind of recaps the Diana Agron episode of And That's What You Really Miss, where they kind of, weirdly enough, only talked about Quinn's relationship with Matt. Yeah. No, to fill you in, I just really liked hearing, they didn't like talk. I hope that they talked like more about like, specific things in part two. Tell me what are the things that you want? So they talked, I really thought this was mostly interesting. The, like Diana, talking about the actual acting mechanics of portraying a character like Quinn. And I thought that was really insightful. And the way that she continues to talk about playing her is like, she really treats it very, very seriously.

She's very serious about her craft. And I really like that she talks about working with Brad Falchuk, directing certain episodes. And I just like, she's still, she's on the pulse. Of course, she calls it Holy Trinity, instead of Unholy Trinity, but that's fine. That's okay. We can work with that. That's fine. I feel like she's not the first to do that. I feel like there's somebody else in the cast who said, like, Holy Trinity. And I think at this point, maybe they just renamed themselves Holy Trinity because they didn't like the unholy Trinity aspect. That's what I'm going to tell myself. But I think something that's interesting about Diana in particular is that she seems like someone who is so opposite from Quinn, in terms of like, she's just like, yeah, kind of like enigma-ish, but also like goes with the flow. And it's like very like, whoo, and Quinn seems very like, structured.

[19:18] Abby: Well, what I really, really liked what she said, and I'm gonna like butcher exactly the word, the wording here. But like, she, she like said that, like, Quinn as a character was like, so desperate to like, kind of keep it all together and keep like, what people like want her to be on the outside. And like, she's like, struggling with so much that like, I was just like, listening to it. I was like, she really is. Quinn might be number one. It's always between her and Santana. But I'm just like, the way that she's like, talking about this character. I'm like, there's so much here. There's so many levels here. There's this, and this is one of the things that I like, you can say whatever you want about Quinn, but that is a very like, there's so many layers to her character that you can really unpack why she does the things that she does.

And I feel like if you just take time to like, this reminds me of like, when Kurt is like, in that episode, like, everybody always loved you, Quinn, like whatever. And it's like, okay, like, way to like, like, pretend like all the things that she's going through isn't valid. Like, she has so much internalized, pretty much everything going on with her. Like, she has to look a certain way, she has to act a certain way, she has to be popular for like, her relationship with her religion, her relationship with her parents, like, there's so much to digest. And low key, like, not to like, whatever. But like, she's like, the super religious, but like, she never really did anything that was like, she was like, never homophobic.

Like, she was pretty understanding, she wasn't racist. She wasn't, she was like, a product of her environment, but like, also like, wasn't at the same time. Like, she didn't do those things that you would typically expect from a character like her. Like, she was like, a nice person, kind of sometimes, like, like, you know what I mean? Does that make sense? Like, she was a dickhead, but like, also like, not in the sense that you-

[21:04] Abby: It is interesting where they like, kind of like, point to Quinn, but I feel like specifically, I'm thinking of like, later seasons, where there will be like, Quinn and Santana and Britney, like, were all the worst. And I'm like, actually, like, rewind the tapes, like, Quinn wasn't actually like, what did she do that was actually mean? Am I misremembering things? Here's the thing. She was, she was mean, listen, it depends on who the target is, like, who we're talking about. Like, when it comes to Rachel, like, some people will say that Santana was worse to Rachel than Quinn was. I think Quinn was worse to Rachel than Santana was, in terms of like, but I think like, Rachel was the target of Quinn's eye in terms of like, I'm going to be a mean, like, a dickhead to you. I think Rachel and Finn really got the brunt of Quinn's like, her evil core. She told her to get sterilized.

[22:07] Whitney: I'm glad that we're having a live stream, because of course, people in the comments are like, Whitney is saying, I don't remember this. Did she tell Rachel to kill herself in the pilot?

[22:19] Abby: She told me, I mean, she kind of alluded to like, maybe she said something like, getting sterilized, your parents don't love you. But it was stuff like that. I think, listen, this is not to say that Quinn is a great, a great person, just that third. But I do think, oh, yeah, the pilot, the pilot's bad, the pilot's bad. Because people are saying, Nicole in the chat is saying that she canonically said a lot of transphobic stuff to Rachel. And then now Whitney's saying that the pilot is non-canon, which is an interesting theory that I've never considered before. Pilot is not, you know, sometimes the pilot feels so different from the show. She was, she was terrible to Rachel. She was kind of terrible to Finn.

Who else was there? I would argue Santana's bully, Quinn Fibre, in the sense that, in the sense that that was the only person who could really like, they get under each other's, this is gonna turn into a Quintana Rant. I'm not gonna turn this into a Quintana Rant. We don't need to do that. But I think, in general, there are three really like, they're like, they're, they're bitches in the best way possible. But the reality is that every single person on the show was a bitch. Finn was a bitch. Puck was a bitch. Artie a bitch. Everybody's a dickhead. Matt was not a bitch. Mike, he gets away with a lot, but his ass pissed me off in season three. Terrible boyfriend in season three. Three thumbs down.

Three thumbs down. Three thumbs down. Does not get brought up enough. Yes. But Quinn is a very interesting character. I don't think she's just like a, I don't think, some people just say like, oh, she's blonde and annoying, and she cries, and cries to get her way and da da da da da, which is like, okay, I guess you could say that, but I think there's a lot of layers that there is to unpack about her. And she grows, and then she just becomes a fairy that never comes back. Because I think coming back to the Glee Club really brings her back to the most terrible, not to the Glee Club, but like, McKinley, it really.

[24:29] Abby: I will say, I think that the announcement yesterday that Diana would be on the podcast this week, I can only equate that feeling that I had getting that announcement to like, anytime that Diana would announce that she would be coming back in the later seasons of like, I remember like, specifically the like, episode 100 spoilers, that like, Diana would be coming back. And like, every time there was like, anything related to Diana that we got in anticipation of that episode, I would just be like, groveling at the I don't even know if I'm using that word correctly, but just like, like, foaming at the mouth just like, Oh, God, my baby girl is finally returning to form.

[25:19] Whitney: You're gnawing at the bars of your enclosure.

[25:19] Abby: Yes. Yeah, no, you get it. So I'm excited to hear the rest of this interview. I'm excited for you to listen to the entirety of the interview. I think that you'll enjoy it. We'll see. Yeah, I haven't listened to a lot of things in a while. But I didn't finish the Dijonwood, but I started it because I wanted to hear him speak more than he does in the entire show. And I got to that by three minutes in, I was like, okay, he officially spoke more times in these three minutes than he has the whole show, which I think is beautiful.

[26:02] Whitney: Did you get to the part where he addressed that? Like, because like, my big thing with Dijon has always been like, why was he at the season two promo photo shoot, but not of course, in any of season two?

[26:12] Abby: I didn't get to that. What's the answer? What's the fucking answer? It was just like, it was just like a depressing answer that he was like, like being told to like, yeah, like, you can come like, I don't recall, like exactly the specifics of it. But like, he was like, yeah, like, yeah, come, come to the photo shoot. And he was like, you guys are shooting the season next, you're starting production on season two next week. And like, I'm not part of it. Like, are you sure that like, I should be there? And they still had him and it's just like, it seemed, I don't know.

[26:32] Whitney: So he wasn't invited back. And then she's like, Oh, but you can come to the Yeah, and he wanted to continue.

[26:44] Abby: Oh, yeah. And Matt, Matt was really the one who got away from me. Because after Matt leaves, we don't have a black male until Jake. And we have like, already as the interim black boy in the club, because he just sings all the R&B songs. But it's like so disappointing, because like, Sam essentially takes a spot. And who does Sam get in a relationship with? Oh, right. It was supposed to be Matt. It was always supposed to be Matt. But they wanted the bottle blonde, so they can have a bottle. Well, I don't know what Diana's natural hair, but she blonde. I'm not gonna lie. I've said this before, blonde people confuse me. I don't really know how it works.

[27:19] Whitney: I don't know how it works either. I know that canonically, Quena as a character is a natural brunette. Either way, that actually makes me really disappointed because I feel like they could have had it.

[27:36] Unknown speaker: They could have had him stay. That makes me really sad. And I think somehow, I don't know what in my gut just, I just, I feel in my gut, I'm gonna say racism. Final answer. Too long, don't read. Too long, don't read. Somehow, we can get rid of this. I'm telling you.

[27:58] Unknown speaker: You're so cute. Golan, a hard segue into Glackett grievances. I know that something really is on your mind, and something is really upset about the ongoings of the Glackett that you want to talk about right now. I have a few things. I just, I just, I mean, I guess I'm just a little lost on how it is that the boy's mind keeps facing these trials and tribulations. Every single round, it's just giving the boot, giving the boot, giving the boot, giving the boot, giving the boot. I'm like, yo, has it come to the point where it's like, y'all are just like, oh, they'll vote it back in anyway. So it's not a big deal.

[28:42] Unknown speaker: I know how this movie ends. Yeah. Like, well, fuck it. I'm gonna be like, oh, be safe. And it hasn't been safe yet. I, what it was, I look to you. No, it was. Oh, no. I know where I've been. I know where I've been. Yeah. Which is, it is a really, really good song. It's an amazing GCV. I just, I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel like the boy's mind keeps getting such unlucky draws. And I just, I just need her to take one round, just win one round, like without, you know.

[29:16] Unknown speaker: I mean, that did happen in round one of the Glackett for the boy's mind. That was literally like eight years ago, Andrew, like we're in 2025. That was like. You want boy's mind to just like be like safe for once. Boy's mind, of course, did not win the vote back. Run Joey Run did.

[29:36] Unknown speaker: Which, let's be, let's. I don't know if I've ever actually heard your thoughts on Run Joey Run. What are your thoughts on Run Joey Run?

[29:42] Unknown speaker: It's so camp. It's so great. It's, it's so fun.

[29:47] Unknown speaker: So you are like, is that okay with you?

[29:50] Unknown speaker: No.

[29:50] Unknown speaker: Between the vote back? No? Oh.

[29:52] Unknown speaker: No, it still shouldn't have won. Let's be serious. Let's, let's, let's, what are we doing here?

[29:59] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[30:02] Unknown speaker: Both of them are iconic, but one of them is iconic and serving vocal. What is going on? Like, Run Joey Run, yeah, camp and cute and great, but it's not gonna, it's. Can we also, can we say the argument that there's, there's better sensaties to be had? The boy's mind is one of their best duets.

[30:20] Unknown speaker: No, I want to say, I want to say that boy's mind is not the one.

[30:27] Unknown speaker: What is the one to you? Are you going to say Riverdeep?

[30:30] Unknown speaker: Well, I mean, like, what, are we just looking at the four clean sensaties duets or are we broadening it to trouble tones?

[30:39] Unknown speaker: We're going to keep it clean. We're going to keep it clean. Keep it clean.

[30:44] Unknown speaker: Those two different things. Clean.

[30:45] Unknown speaker: Okay. So the number, the top two, there's four. Of course we got, we got boy's mind, we got Riverdeep, we got Dancing Queen, we got Doo-Wop. I think that, uh, in order of my favorite to least, we got Riverdeep number one, Dancing Queen two, uh, boy's mind three, Doo-Wop four.

[31:03] Unknown speaker: Right, right.

[31:04] Unknown speaker: Is that okay?

[31:06] Unknown speaker: Well, it's, listen, you're allowed to have your opinion. I will never say it's wrong. It's your, what you like the best. Do you know what I mean?

[31:13] Unknown speaker: It's what I like.

[31:14] Unknown speaker: It's what you like the best. And I love, I do love Dancing Queen. I love them so much. But I think probably Riverdeep, then the boy's mind, but it really depends on the day. Like they'll, it just depends on the day for me.

[31:29] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[31:29] Unknown speaker: Also like at the same, it depends on what vibe I really want. I don't like, I've brought it up before. I just don't think that I like, I don't think I understand the boy's mind and the way that people are really gathering around it. And like, I feel kind of bad in that sense. I feel like I understand a lot of Glee music, but like, boy's mind is just not one that I'm like, I'm understanding the complete, you know, effect.

[31:55] Unknown speaker: Right. Well, I don't, I don't know how to help you there. Listen, guys.

[32:00] Unknown speaker: I don't know if I can.

[32:02] Unknown speaker: Is it, what is it? Is it the MP, is MP3 with a video or without video?

[32:06] Unknown speaker: MP3 is without video.

[32:08] Unknown speaker: Is it the MP3 or is it the whole performance in general?

[32:11] Unknown speaker: I think it's everything. I just, I think that I, I, I'm landing on the, I didn't watch that episode live. I didn't watch any of season one live. And so I just don't have the attachment. Whereas the other ones I was watching live and I was like, excited. There's like an emotional response.

[32:26] Unknown speaker: There's an emotional response.

[32:27] Unknown speaker: There's like an emotional weight to it. Boy's mind was just in a binge and I can't really remember watching it.

[32:33] Unknown speaker: You can't remember.

[32:34] Unknown speaker: Yeah. It's all part of the binge.

[32:37] Unknown speaker: Right, right, right. If you watch the boy's mind, just the next time you watch it, just forget about the Puck at all. Cause a lot of people are like, why would you go for Puck? Listen, it's not about him. They want to kiss. This has nothing to do with Puck, guys. It's clear. It's clear. Have some clips we can show that later.

[32:56] Unknown speaker: But listen, I think, I think the boy's mind, right. It's really one of the first songs that Nai can really like, her first real, real like song that she really got to show like Madonna, like, like a version, whatever. But the boy's mind, a proper duet with Mercedes, best thing of the week. Like they're going at it. They're boom, boom, boom. I will say, of course, we have to acknowledge the had about enough.

[33:21] Unknown speaker: Yes.

[33:22] Unknown speaker: Like we have to acknowledge that. And I think that's why it holds so much value because it's like really one of another one of Santana's big first songs where she like, is like, oh, nah, like I'm here to play. Like this is this is not like she's a heavy puncher. OK, and that's why. And also that song is just like magnificent to me. I love the boy's mind. I'm a big fan. Original Glee cast version, Ariana Grande version, the version where they're both mashed up. I don't give a fuck what the remix of Ariana Grande's version that has Brandy and Monica. It's too good.

[33:56] Unknown speaker: Yeah, yeah.

[33:58] Unknown speaker: Um, are there any other grievances that you wanted to bring up at this at this moment?

[34:03] Unknown speaker: Several, judge.

[34:06] Unknown speaker: OK, first, it's not a grievance. It's more like I was shocked because every episode I go through all of them and I look to see like and I I don't look at the not the answer, but like what you guys chose. I don't look at the answer.

[34:18] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I look at like, OK, what do I think? What would I have chosen? What do I think they would have chosen?

[34:23] Unknown speaker: Chosen. What that what really got me was Baby It's Cold Outside losing to Teenage Dream. I really thought Baby It's Cold Outside was going to take it. I was like, whoa, that's their first duet. It's cute. It's, you know, it's happy. It's Christmas. People love it. It's like one of the most dream Christmas songs. Teenage Dream season four. And, you know, it's, you know, the breakup. It's some people it's like I feel like it's kind of like some people hate it. Some people love it. I think you love it. I'm pretty sure you like it more than season two. I feel like you were in an episode in round two with Teenage Dream season four.

[35:01] Unknown speaker: I if I'm not mistaken.

[35:03] Unknown speaker: I think I was.

[35:04] Unknown speaker: I think that I think that did happen. That was with Alexa.

[35:06] Unknown speaker: It couldn't have been the Ryder episode, could it?

[35:08] Unknown speaker: Was it Cowboy Carter?

[35:09] Unknown speaker: I think it was Cowboy Carter.

[35:12] Unknown speaker: It probably I mean, you know better than me. It probably was.

[35:14] Unknown speaker: Hey.

[35:16] Unknown speaker: But it's not for you.

[35:16] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I it's I mean, you know, it depends on the mood. I think it depends on the mood.

[35:21] Unknown speaker: I don't hate it.

[35:22] Unknown speaker: I just I, of course, want to bring up. I don't know if this hit you on TikTok or social media. I'm sure has the Diet Pepsi cover by Ben Platt.

[35:32] Unknown speaker: Yes.

[35:33] Unknown speaker: Obviously, the comparison to Darren Criss's stripped down version of Teenage Dream. And I think they're sisters, not twins.

[35:42] Unknown speaker: You know, sisters, not twins.

[35:43] Unknown speaker: One could argue sister cousins, sister cousins, sister cousins.

[35:48] Unknown speaker: What does that mean?

[35:49] Unknown speaker: Uh, same mom, different dads or same dad.

[35:53] Unknown speaker: Same, same. Wait, no, no.

[35:55] Unknown speaker: Same dad, different moms.

[35:57] Unknown speaker: It'd be half sister, but they'd still be sister cousins.

[36:01] Unknown speaker: No, or sister cousins.

[36:04] Unknown speaker: Sister cousin feels a little bit more fun to say, too.

[36:05] Unknown speaker: Sister cousins.

[36:05] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[36:06] Unknown speaker: Like, no, they wouldn't be half siblings.

[36:08] Unknown speaker: Would they?

[36:09] Unknown speaker: If they have the same, same one parent, different other parent.

[36:14] Unknown speaker: Yes, that's half.

[36:15] Unknown speaker: But then also, like, the different parents are sisters or brothers.

[36:20] Unknown speaker: Oh.

[36:20] Unknown speaker: So then you become sister cousins.

[36:22] Unknown speaker: That's...

[36:23] Unknown speaker: Oh, I wasn't understanding that.

[36:25] Unknown speaker: Now I do.

[36:26] Unknown speaker: No, no. So, like, it's like, say, like, a guy slept with, like, both sisters and they both have kids.

[36:31] Unknown speaker: And that's Diet Pepsi, Ben Platt, and Teenage Dream Season 4.

[36:34] Unknown speaker: That was the first time I ever heard that song in full, by the way.

[36:37] Unknown speaker: Ben Platt's version.

[36:37] Unknown speaker: Oh, same.

[36:39] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[36:40] Unknown speaker: It was...

[36:41] Unknown speaker: Well, I mean, the culture of words just in general, just a real tangent. I know that we're 40 minutes in.

[36:46] Unknown speaker: I loved it.

[36:46] Unknown speaker: But the culture of words just generally, the songs that they performed for the most part, I never heard of.

[36:53] Unknown speaker: And so, like, there were, like, I don't understand if these songs are jokes, because obviously everything in this show is jokes.

[37:00] Unknown speaker: They're singing songs called Diet Pepsi, Soup, and Massachusetts.

[37:06] Unknown speaker: And I was like, wait, are...

[37:07] Unknown speaker: I needed to look up to see if, like, these were actual songs or, like, original...

[37:13] Unknown speaker: Oh my god, they're doing original songs.

[37:15] Unknown speaker: Oh my god, they're doing original songs.

[37:17] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[37:19] Unknown speaker: But they're real. Soup is real, right?

[37:20] Unknown speaker: Is Soup real?

[37:21] Unknown speaker: They were all real. Soup, Massachusetts.

[37:23] Unknown speaker: They're all real, Massachusetts.

[37:25] Unknown speaker: Crazy.

[37:27] Unknown speaker: Why were you invited to La Culturista?

[37:29] Unknown speaker: Because kind of, like, I feel like you should have been there.

[37:33] Unknown speaker: Thank you.

[37:36] Unknown speaker: I would have loved to have been there.

[37:40] Unknown speaker: You know what?

[37:42] Unknown speaker: Maybe next year.

[37:42] Unknown speaker: I was there.

[37:44] Unknown speaker: I mean, I went to the first one that was at Lincoln Center.

[37:49] Unknown speaker: But then I tried going to the second one, and there was too many people in not enough chairs.

[37:55] Unknown speaker: Anyway, so do we have anything final to add before we bring in our first leak of this live stream, Abby?

[38:04] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I guess the other ones aren't really important. I would have voted Thriller head to a roll instead of being live, because I don't really feel a connection to the song.

[38:13] Unknown speaker: You Learn slash You Got a Friend. I really love that song, but Toucha Toucha Toucha Me is, like, goated. So whatever.

[38:18] Unknown speaker: And Mamma Mia versus I'll Remember. I'll Remember is Kurt's best solo to me.

[38:22] Unknown speaker: So I actually do love I'll Remember.

[38:24] Unknown speaker: I do love that song a lot.

[38:26] Unknown speaker: Thank you.

[38:27] Unknown speaker: Literally, I feel insane.

[38:30] Unknown speaker: No.

[38:30] Unknown speaker: Because I'll Remember, oh my god.

[38:32] Unknown speaker: No one is saying anything about that.

[38:35] Unknown speaker: I love her.

[38:36] Unknown speaker: It's so, it's really great.

[38:38] Unknown speaker: I'm streaming.

[38:38] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[38:39] Unknown speaker: I stream, like, it's his, like, I think that song really fit his voice, like, really nicely.

[38:45] Unknown speaker: And it's so cute.

[38:46] Unknown speaker: And it's just, like, I love the entire Glee Club watching him.

[38:49] Unknown speaker: And I love that they're backing vocals and everything.

[38:52] Unknown speaker: I just think it's, like, very, very pure.

[38:54] Unknown speaker: I love it.

[38:55] Unknown speaker: And then he's, like, like, he starts, like, crying.

[38:57] Unknown speaker: And then he gets, like, oh my god.

[39:01] Unknown speaker: Yeah, never been ashamed to cry.

[39:03] Unknown speaker: Yeah, exactly.

[39:04] Unknown speaker: Like, come on, like, it's tea.

[39:05] Unknown speaker: Like, I love it.

[39:06] Unknown speaker: It's so cute.

[39:07] Unknown speaker: I love that episode.

[39:08] Unknown speaker: It's really great.

[39:09] Unknown speaker: People are sleeping on it.

[39:10] Unknown speaker: They're sleeping.

[39:11] Unknown speaker: I'm not.

[39:12] Unknown speaker: We'll remember.

[39:12] Unknown speaker: Hey.

[39:12] Unknown speaker: Wait, sorry.

[39:13] Unknown speaker: I just remembered that Eduardo said something about Rory and Quinn, if Rory would be a good partner for Quinn.

[39:18] Unknown speaker: And I-

[39:19] Unknown speaker: Yeah, let's definitely circle back to that.

[39:20] Unknown speaker: Let's circle back to that, because I feel bad for not having addressed it, because I saw it and then I forgot to bring it up.

[39:27] Unknown speaker: Do you think Rory would have been a good partner for Quinn?

[39:29] Unknown speaker: I don't.

[39:31] Unknown speaker: Do you?

[39:32] Unknown speaker: Why?

[39:33] Unknown speaker: I, I'm afraid of Rory's ideas about women.

[39:40] Unknown speaker: Do you know what I mean?

[39:42] Unknown speaker: Is it, is it the lucky, no, is it the lucky charms of it all? Or is it like-

[39:46] Unknown speaker: I just think that, like, I just think that he, he's just a product of his environment. It's nothing against, it's, he just has a lot to learn.

[39:56] Unknown speaker: He has a lot to learn.

[39:57] Unknown speaker: Okay, what do I think?

[39:58] Unknown speaker: And I think that Quinn is not matching.

[40:00] Unknown speaker: No, I-

[40:01] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I don't think-

[40:02] Unknown speaker: It's like hard for me to even entertain that thought, unfortunately.

[40:06] Unknown speaker: It's, hear me out, it's kind of giving, like, Glinda and Bach in a way, in the sense that I could see him being obsessed with her, but she wouldn't give him the time of day.

[40:13] Unknown speaker: And she'd tell him, look at this person over there, go to them.

[40:20] Unknown speaker: And I do think he'd fall into the foil of, like, I can't tell this girl I don't like her, so I'll just stay with her forever.

[40:27] Unknown speaker: That's a great comparison.

[40:29] Unknown speaker: Thank you.

[40:30] Unknown speaker: Rory really is Bach-coded.

[40:32] Unknown speaker: He is Bach-coded.

[40:33] Unknown speaker: Anyway.

[40:34] Unknown speaker: I'm clocking it.

[40:35] Unknown speaker: We're Bach-ing it.

[40:36] Unknown speaker: We're Bach-ing it.

[40:39] Unknown speaker: All right, and with that, do we have anything else to add?

[40:42] Unknown speaker: No, I'm good.

[40:43] Unknown speaker: Um, amazing.

[40:44] Unknown speaker: Let's get this party started.

[40:46] Unknown speaker: Hey, party people!

[40:47] Unknown speaker: Hey, party people!

[40:49] Unknown speaker: Okay, we're gonna bring in, um, you remember her from first round of the Glackate.

[40:53] Unknown speaker: Well, you should, because she's iconic.

[40:56] Unknown speaker: People have been clamoring for her return.

[40:58] Unknown speaker: I'm, of course, talking about Whitney.

[41:01] Whitney: Hey!

[41:02] Whitney: Hello.

[41:03] Whitney: It's been so long.

[41:06] Whitney: How are you?

[41:06] Unknown speaker: Too long. I'm good.

[41:08] Unknown speaker: Um, people, I messaged you today that people have been clamoring for your return in a major way.

[41:13] Whitney: Yeah.

[41:14] Whitney: And.

[41:14] Unknown speaker: I was wondering who.

[41:16] Whitney: I'm glad.

[41:16] Unknown speaker: Maybe one of them is in the chat right now.

[41:18] Unknown speaker: I see, I see my...

[41:25] Abby: Number one fan, Eduardo.

[41:26] Whitney: Maybe it's the person that said, Whitney, my queen in the chat.

[41:30] Abby: Whitney, it has been really long. And now I'm like, forgetting, and I'm sorry to put you on the spot right now. What competitions were in your original episode in round one? Do you recall?

[41:40] Whitney: I remember two of the winners, and I feel like the third was a snooze.

[41:44] Abby: Okay.

[41:45] Whitney: I don't remember what the third one was. But I remember Take Care of Yourself was a really big one.

[41:48] Abby: Oh, Rory.

[41:50] Whitney: Take Care of Rory. And then I had Landslide. And I don't remember what the first one was. But I did have Landslide, I believe.

[41:58] Abby: Let me look in your file right now, Whitney.

[42:00] Whitney: Right. No. Background check.

[42:02] Abby: So you had Listen, Beat, Bring Him Home.

[42:05] Whitney: Oh, that one.

[42:06] Abby: And then Take Care of Yourself, Beat, All or Nothing, and then Landslide, Beat, Wake Me Up.

[42:13] Whitney: I remember Listen because I was like, top 10. Period.

[42:17] Abby: I feel like people were kind of like, in that episode...

[42:19] Whitney: No, it was his top 10, not my top 10.

[42:21] Abby: Yeah, people were being really mean about me liking Listen.

[42:25] Whitney: Really?

[42:26] Abby: Yeah.

[42:27] Whitney: You said it was better than the Beyonce one.

[42:29] Abby: I think it's comparable. Is that crazy to say?

[42:33] Whitney: Abby, Abby.

[42:34] Abby: Mediator.

[42:36] Whitney: Well, listen, we would have to listen to them back to back, but I'm going to comfortably say Beyonce. I'd say Beyonce. I'd say Beyonce.

[42:43] Abby: Thank you.

[42:44] Whitney: But lowkey, Andrew, I understand.

[42:49] Abby: One time on Twitter, I said that lowkey, why not do Beyonce on Dreamgirls?

[42:58] Whitney: It's all over?

[42:59] Abby: It's all over. I deleted it after like 30 minutes because my oops were like, yo, bro, stop.

[43:08] Whitney: This isn't you.

[43:10] Abby: I was like, you're right. This isn't me. Let me chill. Let me chill. I was very biased at the time. I deleted it swiftly. I know what's good for me.

[43:19] Whitney: But now, of course, you're bringing it back up on a public forum.

[43:23] Abby: No, but listen, I've woken up and I can quickly say and I can say with my full chest that they are both wonderful versions and I love them each. They're both amazing. And I love them. And I love them both. And they're both great. I'm not saying that Beyonce's version of Listen is bad. I'm just saying that they're both excellent.

[43:44] Whitney: Did you hear it on Glee first?

[43:46] Abby: Uh, yeah. Well, also, admittedly, I was 14 years old.

[43:50] Whitney: Okay, that's probably why you have like, I know people who think Bills, Bills, Bills are a Glee original.

[43:59] Abby: So they enjoy that one more.

[44:02] Whitney: And yeah, that's humiliating. I'm not gonna lie. Like, I was like, whoa.

[44:09] Abby: This is getting really weird.

[44:11] Whitney: But yeah, so I think it's not about it being better. It's more like, what did you hear first?

[44:17] Abby: Yeah.

[44:18] Whitney: What's better for you? What's better for your taste?

[44:22] Abby: Sure.

[44:23] Whitney: There's room for both. I'm making room for both.

[44:25] Abby: Do you actually listen to Beyonce's version?

[44:27] Whitney: Yes, I do.

[44:28] Abby: Oh, okay. Then period.

[44:30] Whitney: That's a big gay guy music video night. And I will say that like, on gay guy music video night, we'll watch back to back.

[44:38] Abby: Well, not by Charlie X, we'll watch them.

[44:41] Whitney: You know, the performances back to back.

[44:44] Abby: Yes, yes.

[44:45] Whitney: Yeah, that's beautiful.

[44:47] Abby: That's powerful.

[44:49] Whitney: It is.

[44:52] Abby: Whitney, it's been now, has it been officially three years since?

[44:57] Whitney: I think so.

[44:58] Abby: That's been that's so long. Because I've been in the relationship that I'm in right now for like, two years, two months.

[45:08] Whitney: Gleek of the Week was pre my relationship.

[45:10] Abby: Wow. Oh my god. This is this is kind of huge.

[45:13] Whitney: The way that you, the way that we're measuring.

[45:19] Abby: Before Gleek of the Week, after Gleek of the Week, period.

[45:22] Whitney: So your grand return is happening right now. And of course, I need to ask, I'm scared. I'm excited to hear. What are grievances that have happened since your last appearance?

[45:32] Whitney: Honestly, the biggest one that I could think about the top of my head. Why do y'all like Forget You?

[45:39] Abby: Really?

[45:41] Whitney: Why? What did it win against? Forget You.

[45:43] Abby: Did it right?

[45:44] Whitney: It won against Get It Right this round.

[45:46] Abby: Yes.

[45:46] Whitney: Interesting, interesting. Would you not agree, Abby?

[45:50] Abby: No, I probably would have chosen Forget You, honestly. The only time I've ever liked Forget You, this is a funny story about it. For some reason, I was like, a couple jello shots deep at a bar, and it was a drag show.

[46:03] Whitney: Yeah.

[46:03] Abby: And instead of doing the original, they did the Glee cast version of Forget You. And that was the only time it's ever sounded good to me. When a drag queen is performing it.

[46:06] Whitney: And of course, I'm making the-

[46:12] Abby: And I'm a little drunk too. I'm making the reference, of course, to Terry saying to Holly Holiday in the substitute, after she says what her name is, Holly Holiday, are you a drag queen or a prostitute? Iconic Terry line.

[46:27] Whitney: But of course, we need to talk about the Naya ad-libs specifically in Forget You. Is that, does that mean nothing to you?

[46:35] Abby: It means something to me.

[46:37] Whitney: It does mean a lot. But the Gwyneth Paltrow of it all.

[46:40] Abby: She's only good in Landslide.

[46:42] Whitney: That's it?

[46:44] Abby: Maybe that Adele one.

[46:45] Whitney: How about Party All the Time?

[46:47] Abby: We gotta have these conversations.

[46:49] Whitney: I forgot about Party All the Time.

[46:50] Abby: So yeah, thank you for reminding me of that.

[46:53] Whitney: Yeah, you're welcome.

[46:54] Abby: Forget You.

[46:58] Whitney: Yeah.

[46:59] Abby: Okay. Well, Forget You is safe right now in round four.

[47:02] Whitney: And you're mad about it.

[47:04] Abby: A little bit. I was looking through our DMs to try to find other stuff that I got mad at. And then I found this one rant that I went on that I was just going to read.

[47:14] Whitney: Please.

[47:16] Abby: The first one was, Have we unpacked how Jar of Hearts is such a wild choice for the prom slow dance?

[47:21] Whitney: Yeah.

[47:22] Abby: That was a wild one.

[47:23] Whitney: No, but I think that I like them better for it.

[47:28] Abby: Yeah. You know, if it was like,

[47:29] Whitney: It's interesting.

[47:30] Abby: If it was a little bit too on the nose of like a slow dance song, then I don't know if we would be still talking about it in the way that we are.

[47:36] Whitney: And then my favorite text that I sent throughout this, and it was sent at like 1241. So I know like we were all supposed to be asleep.

[47:42] Abby: Jealous out of sleep.

[47:42] Whitney: Something. I'm just like, which character doesn't get their foot, doesn't get a foot on their neck enough?

[47:52] Abby: Sebastian.

[47:54] Whitney: Oh, quack that, that, that rat. That, that frickin.

[47:56] Abby: Quack that rat. That guy.

[48:01] Whitney: Foot on the neck.

[48:04] Abby: And then I.

[48:05] Whitney: He does like canonically apologize. I don't know why I'm assuming his lawyer position right now. But he does canonically.

[48:12] Abby: Is it because he was your neighbor?

[48:13] Whitney: My neighbor, my neighbor, Grant Gustin. I forgot about that.

[48:18] Abby: He apologized.

[48:19] Whitney: Is that?

[48:21] Abby: It wasn't about for you. He could still get it.

[48:23] Whitney: He could still get mollywobbed.

[48:24] Abby: I mean, he's still like.

[48:26] Whitney: Yeah.

[48:26] Abby: Yeah.

[48:26] Whitney: He's still. He tried to like blind her.

[48:28] Abby: He was like super racist too.

[48:32] Whitney: It was pretty bad. Kind of like Photoshopped revenge porn.

[48:37] Abby: Oh, I forgot about. If somebody posted a picture like that on the internet of me, I'd probably kill myself.

[48:42] Whitney: Twice to make sure I was dead.

[48:44] Abby: Twice to be sure.

[48:45] Whitney: Yeah. And then also his face just looks like his face.

[48:48] Abby: I love that I'm asking about Glackett grievances, and you're bringing up grievances with you have with a character specifically. I love that.

[48:54] Whitney: He's not even like doing well in the Glackett. Of course, he has Smooth Criminal around, but he lost all of his solos.

[49:01] Abby: Again, the whole point, he doesn't get a foot on his neck enough.

[49:04] Whitney: Okay. And so here's my foot on his neck. It's been two and a half years. I hope you feel it.

[49:07] Abby: Let her. It's been three years.

[49:09] Whitney: Let her cook.

[49:09] Abby: Let me cook. She's preparing the table.

[49:13] Whitney: Yeah. And then like the only, the Thriller heads will roll being alive.

[49:20] Abby: I agree with you, Abby. Thriller heads roll should have won.

[49:22] Whitney: It's back in round four.

[49:24] Abby: Exactly. You voted it back.

[49:26] Whitney: Okay. Your vote matters.

[49:28] Abby: Your vote matters. Stay in line. Stay in line.

[49:31] Whitney: Thriller heads roll is in round four. If you're voting for Thriller heads roll, stay in line. If you're voting for The Boy is Mine, stay in line, please.

[49:39] Abby: Stay in line.

[49:42] Whitney: I also agree with you about The Boy is Mine.

[49:44] Abby: Thank you. It's so sad that what happened to it in round three.

[49:49] Whitney: Okay. But also have we even like talked about its competitor?

[49:53] Abby: I know where I've been.

[49:55] Whitney: I know. She was really set up for failure.

[49:59] Abby: That's right. Well.

[50:01] Whitney: Like I would have done the same thing. I would have like been really sad about it. And I would have looked away as I like pointed the gun at The Boy is Mine.

[50:07] Abby: Yeah.

[50:09] Whitney: I can't look.

[50:11] Abby: Like I put them to look at it.

[50:13] Whitney: Yeah.

[50:15] Abby: But it would hurt.

[50:16] Whitney: It hurt.

[50:16] Abby: I'm never shooting that at her.

[50:18] Whitney: I would have given her the sympathy vote.

[50:20] Abby: All right. I would have given it to her. God, she deserves so much.

[50:24] Whitney: Okay.

[50:24] Abby: She does.

[50:25] Whitney: She deserves better.

[50:27] Abby: She does. Oh, and then I'm looking. I'm scrolling through round three. So I haven't went through all of round two.

[50:32] Whitney: Okay.

[50:33] Abby: Because there's probably a lot of grievances and I don't want to take up like all the time on the live stream.

[50:36] Whitney: You're completely fine. You should.

[50:37] Abby: And now we're in. You're right. I have like three years worth of discourse to bring up. Bonus episode of Whitney grievances.

[50:47] Whitney: Eduardo, it will be for you specifically.

[50:49] Abby: Yeah. Where was I? Barely breathing.

[50:52] Whitney: Wait, what did finally take up barely breathing?

[50:56] Abby: Don't you want me?

[50:56] Whitney: Don't you want me?

[50:58] Abby: Boring.

[50:58] Whitney: Well, it's not boring.

[50:59] Abby: It's fine. But barely breathing should have definitely won.

[51:02] Whitney: It was close.

[51:03] Abby: They exist in a very similar spot to me.

[51:07] Whitney: They should. It shouldn't be that close.

[51:09] Abby: Abby, what do you think?

[51:11] Whitney: I stream don't you want me baby more than barely breathing.

[51:15] Abby: So I would have gotten my vote for that reason.

[51:19] Whitney: Sorry, Whitney.

[51:22] Abby: I know the only the only like the I do. I do.

[51:24] Whitney: What else is coming up for you, Whitney? Grievance.

[51:35] Whitney: I'm just glad hunger like the wolf is gone.

[51:37] Abby: Yeah, you're done with this.

[51:39] Whitney: It's not a grievance. It's a song.

[51:42] Abby: Yeah, that's fair.

[51:44] Whitney: Yeah, I do. I just want to say I'm gonna put this energy out there. I would love to pull take care of yourself again. That way I can defend its honor.

[51:50] Abby: I was thinking that might happen because we of course we still have it.

[51:54] Whitney: I like that song a lot. I think it's one of Rory's best.

[51:56] Abby: It's so good. I think it might be his best.

[52:00] Whitney: I mean, he only has like five maybe to choose from like that is the best.

[52:03] Abby: It is. And then Kurt's face and like Rachel looks back. Rolling his eyes.

[52:10] Whitney: Yeah, it's good. He's magical.

[52:15] Abby: Um, wait, I forgot to even ask you, Abby, what are you manifesting today for these two competitions that you'll be joining for?

[52:22] Abby: I'm gonna be honest with you. I don't even know what's left. But whatever.

[52:27] Whitney: Santana, Mercedes.

[52:30] Abby: The typical stuff.

[52:32] Whitney: Same old, same old.

[52:36] Abby: Whatever, you know.

[52:38] Whitney: What's left? What hasn't been pulled? Like, give me something that you-

[52:42] Abby: There's a lot in here.

[52:42] Whitney: There's a lot in there. I feel like there's a lot.

[52:46] Abby: Well, I mean, you're bringing up like more solos. And there are quite a few more solos left.

[52:51] Whitney: Bust your windows. Someday we'll be together. And I'm telling you ain't no way.

[52:56] Abby: Try a little tenderness.

[52:58] Whitney: I don't- I won't bust your windows.

[53:00] Abby: Yeah, I would love that.

[53:02] Whitney: That was a delay. But it just clicked that you said bust your windows.

[53:05] Abby: But yeah, in terms of like Santolos. Actually, I don't really know what we have.

[53:12] Whitney: Oh, we have mine left.

[53:14] Abby: Mine.

[53:15] Whitney: You're the best thing that's better than me.

[53:19] Abby: What are you singing?

[53:20] Whitney: I was singing the song.

[53:23] Abby: Sing it again.

[53:23] Whitney: You are the best thing.

[53:25] Abby: Oh, I could not capture that melody at all. What is that?

[53:30] Whitney: I was singing it as a ghost.

[53:34] Abby: Eduardo says pull a blow low so Whitney can protect him.

[53:37] Whitney: And I will protect the blow lows.

[53:40] Abby: Honestly, you haven't- I feel like we haven't had a lot of Blaine protection or like Blaine stans lately.

[53:47] Whitney: We literally- Since Allison's like permanent exit kind of.

[53:51] Abby: In the last episode somewhere, we go sometimes literally solidified round four status.

[53:57] Whitney: Okay, but that's a given.

[53:59] Abby: A canon event.

[54:00] Whitney: Yeah, yeah.

[54:02] Abby: Are we ready to pull a first song? Is there anything else that we need to add before we pull an hour in?

[54:09] Whitney: First song. I feel like we've really touched base on everything.

[54:13] Abby: We really talked about it all.

[54:14] Whitney: Matt, Quinn.

[54:17] Abby: Which I'm with you.

[54:18] Whitney: Matt and Quinn.

[54:19] Abby: Quatt.

[54:19] Whitney: Quatt.

[54:20] Abby: Quatt.

[54:20] Whitney: Brother Bray.

[54:21] Abby: Quatt.

[54:22] Whitney: Quatt.

[54:24] Abby: I like Quatt better than Min.

[54:25] Whitney: I call them Brother Bray though.

[54:27] Abby: That's- Brother Brother Bray.

[54:30] Whitney: I like that one.

[54:30] Abby: Thank you. I worked on it.

[54:32] Whitney: That looks like a long one.

[54:33] Abby: They're all the same size, Whitney.

[54:35] Whitney: It looks like a long-

[54:36] Abby: I think she said it looks like a long one.

[54:39] Whitney: It looks like a long one, okay?

[54:41] Abby: They're all the same length splits of paper.

[54:44] Whitney: Then they all look like a long one.

[54:45] Abby: They're all a long one.

[54:47] Whitney: Yeah.

[54:49] Abby: I will say that this song has nothing to do with anything that we've already talked about.

[54:56] Whitney: So that's great.

[54:58] Abby: I will say-

[55:00] Whitney: Can we do the thing where we guess what it is?

[55:02] Abby: You're gonna know exactly what it is and it's not even funny.

[55:05] Whitney: It's actually not even going to be like remotely hilarious that you're gonna know exactly.

[55:11] Abby: We're looking at.

[55:14] Abby: What are we looking at Whitney?

[55:18] Whitney: Probably like the best Glee prom song, prom theme in the entire series. This looks like a, I don't know my dinosaur types, but it's green and it's got teeth.

[55:26] Abby: Yeah, it is a dinosaur. So would you, I mean, just shot in the dark, what song do you think it could be?

[55:36] Whitney: Dinosaur?

[55:39] Abby: This is really hard.

[55:42] Whitney: I love you like a love song.

[55:43] Abby: I mean, I think Annie in the comments has it. I think she's saying it's dinosaur.

[55:47] Whitney: I think that you'd be right. It is indeed dinosaur. Your instincts were correct.

[55:54] Abby: Okay, that was dinosaur, right? We just watched that?

[55:58] Whitney: I think it could have been anything else.

[55:59] Abby: Yeah.

[56:02] Whitney: I'm pretty sure. I'm picking up vibes of dinosaur.

[56:07] Abby: Um, Whitney, do you want to start the discourse on dinosaur? Is there things to be said about this for you?

[56:14] Whitney: For me? I honestly love how you kept, like, we keep all the prom conversations in, in the prom episodes, like the prom songs.

[56:22] Abby: Oh.

[56:23] Whitney: There's a little like side conversations that happen in the prom songs.

[56:26] Abby: Well, do you want me to—

[56:27] Whitney: They really make it for me.

[56:28] Abby: This is an honest question. It's not sarcastic. Do you want me to cut them out?

[56:32] Whitney: Would you rather me cut out that Sue and Finn conversation?

[56:35] Abby: No.

[56:36] Whitney: Yeah.

[56:37] Abby: No, I really do love that you keep them in there.

[56:39] Whitney: Yeah, it's important.

[56:40] Abby: Because it adds more to the end. Also, if you're on Patreon.

[56:44] Whitney: You're getting the, you're hearing it.

[56:46] Abby: Yeah, you get the conversation.

[56:48] Whitney: Um, I feel like—

[56:49] Abby: You get the exclusive conversation that you won't hear anywhere else other than this podcast.

[56:53] Whitney: This is the only place you'll hear it. I feel like the conversation, at least for me, the conversation is working against this song. Because it's not a fun conversation. I'm not like—

[57:03] Abby: It's not. It's not. It's not the best. Like, it's not Jar of Hearts. That's for sure.

[57:08] Whitney: Not Jar of Hearts. It's not nearly—

[57:10] Abby: What is it? Beat it, MJ?

[57:11] Whitney: Beat it, MJ. I'm not going to teach your boyfriend to dance with you. Yeah.

[57:13] Abby: Not that one.

[57:15] Whitney: That's iconic. That's actually assisting. Um, but Dinosaur, what are you thinking?

[57:23] Abby: It's fun.

[57:24] Whitney: Yeah.

[57:25] Abby: I think it's one of Britney's best songs, but—

[57:28] Whitney: I like it. It's cute.

[57:30] Abby: Um, I have some things to add, but I want to hear from Abby first. What do you think about Dinosaur?

[57:35] Abby: I was just writing this down. This is like, her, like, another song that is equivalent, same brain space for me, is Christmas Wrapping. They have the same term, like, the same, like, what the fuck is this song about? Really, like, really what's happening here? That's how I feel about both of these songs.

[57:53] Whitney: Right.

[57:54] Abby: Like, what am I actually—

[57:55] Whitney: What are we actually looking at?

[57:56] Abby: What am I actually—

[57:56] Whitney: But Christmas Wrapping is good.

[57:59] Abby: I streamed—there was this one time Christmas Wrapping was stuck in my head for, like, a month, and every time I tried to sleep, I would just hear it, and hear it, and hear it, and hear it, and it was just a bomb, like, oh my god.

[58:13] Abby: My song in my head for the past week is specifically the Glee AI version of, I don't even know what the name of the song is, but I remember—

[58:20] Whitney: Is it What It Is, Ho? What's Up?

[58:23] Abby: What It Is, Ho? What's Up?

[58:26] Whitney: And I'm just, like, I'm, like, in my head, it's robot Kevin McHale singing.

[58:38] Abby: Winner of my glasses.

[58:41] Whitney: Why did no one—

[58:42] Abby: Because it ate, and, like, all of them were, like, reposting it at the time it came out.

[58:46] Whitney: Oh my god, yeah.

[58:47] Abby: And I was like, no, keep, like, The Vowers, like, oh my god.

[58:51] Whitney: And I feel like, didn't, like, Heather, like, I feel like first, like, Kevin responded, he was like, oh, like, did a video of, like, what, I don't even know, a duet, and then Heather did, like, her dancing to it.

[59:04] Abby: Yes, literally, literally.

[59:06] Whitney: What a time.

[59:07] Abby: And I think—

[59:08] Whitney: I can't believe that you knew exactly what I was gonna say.

[59:10] Abby: Because there was, like, I think it had, like, 700k likes on it, like, I'm not even kidding.

[59:15] Whitney: It really popped off, yeah.

[59:18] Abby: And I'm, like, picturing the picture of my, like, the cover of The Three, because it's also Mercedes, but I don't think—

[59:24] Whitney: Did Amber, was Amber even, like, bothered by this?

[59:26] Abby: No, it was, you know who else got into it? It was Jacob Artis also was, like, like, reacted to it.

[59:33] Whitney: When he, he wasn't even part of it.

[59:35] Abby: No, yeah, I think—

[59:36] Whitney: He has taste, though, so he wasn't a part of it.

[59:39] Abby: Either part of that or something else, but I don't, I don't think she responded, I don't think she responded.

[59:44] Whitney: But it literally, like, low-key, like, I lived for, like, bad AI bad. But that time where they're, like, making Glee.

[59:53] Abby: No, they still are, of course.

[59:54] Whitney: I mean, it's just, like, not taking off, like, what it is, though.

[59:57] Abby: What is that song called?

[1:00:06] Whitney: I'm going through the entire chorus in my head.

[1:00:08] Abby: I don't know what it's called.

[1:00:20] Whitney: Oh, is it?

[1:00:23] Abby: In the chat?

[1:00:25] Whitney: It's called What It Is, and then parentheses Block Boy by Dochi, featuring, who is this?

[1:00:31] Abby: Oh, it's Dochi.

[1:00:33] Whitney: Yeah, featuring, it's loading, you know, how it has to—

[1:00:38] Abby: Feet, Kodak Black.

[1:00:44] Whitney: But, of course, we're talking about Robot Kevin's tail.

[1:00:52] Abby: That's what made it better, like, it, like, had, it didn't have their essence completely. But you know how, like, some AI is, like, really, really bad?

[1:00:59] Whitney: It's, like, this is, like, really terrible?

[1:01:01] Abby: Oh, no, it's really bad. I, there's, there's, no, not that one.

[1:01:04] Whitney: That one's good.

[1:01:05] Abby: There's one that I, this will be included in the carousel. But, like, it was, just, like, there's, like, a YouTube channel that, like, does a bunch of Glee AI, where all of them have, like, 10 views. And I'm watching all of them.

[1:01:20] Whitney: Can you send me that link?

[1:01:23] Abby: It's the most chaotic, because they are telling AI to, like, say, like, hey, I want Jenna in Cordova Street to sing this song. And then it does it. And I don't even think that the person who's running the YouTube channel is even listening to it before they press upload.

[1:01:38] Whitney: They're just, like, it's ready for publish.

[1:01:44] Abby: Because the song, like, I think it's, like, is it Hot Chell Ray? Like, tonight, tonight, there's a putty on the roof. I think it's, they had AI have Blaine, Sam, and Tina, and maybe Artie, sing it. And when they do the chorus of tonight, tonight, it goes, it's so, it's not even, like, it's beyond out of pitch. It's, like, tonight, tonight, it's, like, something went so wrong in the wiring of it that it's so, so scary.

[1:02:17] Whitney: It doesn't even remotely sound like music.

[1:02:19] Abby: It's so spooky.

[1:02:20] Whitney: It's, like, demonic.

[1:02:21] Abby: Yeah.

[1:02:22] Whitney: Oh, my gosh.

[1:02:23] Abby: Oh, my gosh. Can we add that to the bucket instead?

[1:02:27] Whitney: I think winner of the bucket, tonight, tonight, by the AI.

[1:02:32] Abby: Oh my God. I want to, can we bring it back to dinosaur discourse for once, please?

[1:02:38] Whitney: That was hilarious.

[1:02:38] Abby: I really needed that laugh.

[1:02:40] Whitney: I really needed that laugh, like, really badly.

[1:02:42] Abby: Wow.

[1:02:42] Whitney: Okay.

[1:02:43] Abby: Yeah. So, it has the same earworm type thing of Christmas Robin for me. You know, they're dancing. They have heads. It's fun.

[1:02:51] Whitney: She put, they put vice.

[1:02:53] Abby: She put vice scene. I think what really gets me is that, like, I feel so doomed watching it because, like, it's about to be, like, Finn's going to walk in and, like, overreact about, like, a thing.

[1:03:02] Whitney: Oh, it's, like, the moment before.

[1:03:04] Abby: Yeah, it's, like, it's the calm before the storm.

[1:03:06] Whitney: It's the calm before the storm.

[1:03:08] Abby: Like, like, like, we know what's about to happen.

[1:03:12] Whitney: Yeah, everyone can look back at the dinosaur performance and be, like, oh, this was right before everything went terribly.

[1:03:20] Abby: It's like that thing. It's, like, we were all, I mean, we were, we were all, like, so happy that night. Little did we know what was about to happen.

[1:03:34] Whitney: Dinosaur.

[1:03:36] Abby: I just, like, I remember watching this episode live and I did feel, I know that people do, like, promasaurus as an episode. I just remember watching it and being very excited for that season's prom episode because of the previous season, Prom Queen, which continues to be, like, maybe top five episode of the entire series. I fucking love Prom Queen so much.

[1:04:01] Whitney: And, like, how seriously they treated it. And also the anticipation leading up to Prom Queen. They were, like, they were, they were letting you know, like, hey, we're, we're going to go to prom in a few episodes and it's going to be huge.

[1:04:13] Abby: And wasn't that just their junior prom that they were?

[1:04:14] Whitney: And it was just their junior prom, yeah.

[1:04:17] Abby: Um, but, like, I felt like with, like, promasaurus, it just, like, kind of just, like, snuck up and it was like, oh, I guess it's prom this week. And that continues to be the case when they, like, have the prom episodes as the series continues. Like, Tina in the Sky with Diamonds, they don't even reference at all, like, leading up to it. It's, like, suddenly prom.

[1:04:34] Whitney: Um, and.

[1:04:36] Abby: Yeah, it feels like they just forgot, like, how a school year works.

[1:04:38] Whitney: Right.

[1:04:38] Abby: Oh, it's prom time. I guess we don't have an episode this week, so I guess we'll make it prom.

[1:04:43] Whitney: Prom?

[1:04:44] Abby: And dinosaurs?

[1:04:46] Whitney: Yeah, and so, like, I think that, like, Dinosaur as a song encapsulates for me that, like, I just wanted it to be treated seriously. And Dinosaur, as good of a song and fun as it is, I'm just like, let's lock in a little bit more, you know?

[1:05:00] Abby: This isn't serious.

[1:05:02] Whitney: Very underwhelming.

[1:05:03] Abby: Yeah. This felt like, oh my god, prom, we totally forgot. We have to write it in. Who can do a last minute, like, song, like, and, like, just do the performance, learn it really quick, like, tomorrow, like, and then have it recorded the next day.

[1:05:16] Whitney: Oh, we have Heather Morris and all the Cheerios who can just pick it up.

[1:05:20] Abby: Right. So let's fucking sing Dinosaur.

[1:05:23] Whitney: And that's how a girl's like that.

[1:05:24] Abby: That's what it feels like. Do you think that, like, they built.

[1:05:28] Whitney: No, because I actually know the answer to this. I was going to say, like, um, do you think they built, like, the Dinosaur theme around wanting to sing Dinosaur? Like, they were like, oh, we really just want it.

[1:05:40] Abby: But it wasn't even, like, a topical song. Because what I do understand about this song, or about this episode, is that, like, Ryan Murphy was, like, apparently, like, driving home and, like, passed the Dinosaur, like, like, uh, what do you call it?

[1:05:54] Whitney: Yeah, like, it's at playgrounds or whatever, like, or at a fair.

[1:05:57] Abby: And it was, like, at, like, um, I don't know, at a shop outside of Display. And he was like, oh my god, I need that. And, and then, like, built an entire Dinosaur theme around.

[1:06:11] Whitney: It just feels.

[1:06:12] Abby: My question is, maybe the script came first. And then he was driving. He was like, oh, that fits with what we're doing. I need that. The Dinosaur, that would really work.

[1:06:21] Whitney: That would really work.

[1:06:22] Abby: I love that Dinosaur.

[1:06:24] Whitney: I need that.

[1:06:26] Abby: Those pictures are so cute, though.

[1:06:27] Whitney: Thank you, Ryan.

[1:06:28] Abby: They are really cute.

[1:06:29] Whitney: They're really cute.

[1:06:30] Abby: Yeah. I feel connected to them. This song, though, not that connected to, not gonna lie. I do want to bring up, uh, the songs that it'd be to get here.

[1:06:40] Whitney: Oh, yeah.

[1:06:40] Abby: I'm interested to know.

[1:06:41] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:06:41] Abby: Yeah.

[1:06:42] Whitney: I have an answer.

[1:06:43] Abby: In round one, it'd be Away in, Away in a Manger.

[1:06:50] Whitney: I like Away in a Manger.

[1:06:52] Abby: It's fine.

[1:06:52] Whitney: It's cute.

[1:06:54] Abby: It's cute.

[1:06:54] Whitney: Sleepy.

[1:06:55] Abby: Little snooze.

[1:06:55] Whitney: Sleepy, yeah.

[1:06:57] Abby: It's a lullaby.

[1:06:59] Whitney: And then in round two, it'd be Hello, Goodbye.

[1:07:02] Abby: What?

[1:07:02] Whitney: Cut the camera.

[1:07:04] Abby: No.

[1:07:04] Whitney: Hello, Goodbye.

[1:07:06] Abby: Hello, The Beatles?

[1:07:07] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:07:08] Abby: That one?

[1:07:08] Whitney: Yes.

[1:07:09] Abby: What?

[1:07:10] Whitney: I'm being serious.

[1:07:11] Abby: I don't get it.

[1:07:13] Whitney: I'm okay with both of these decisions, but I see that you're both not.

[1:07:18] Abby: Well, Hello, Goodbye is just a lot better.

[1:07:20] Whitney: Hello, Goodbye.

[1:07:21] Abby: It is.

[1:07:22] Whitney: They threw up for that song.

[1:07:23] Abby: They did throw up for that song.

[1:07:24] Whitney: They took a shot and they threw up and they took a shot and again and they threw up and they took a shot and you fucking put Dinosaur.

[1:07:32] Abby: Over their mucous-y vomit.

[1:07:35] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:07:36] Abby: Hello, Goodbye. Also, when you look back at the tape, it's like, I think, truly 65 seconds long.

[1:07:43] Whitney: That don't matter.

[1:07:44] Abby: I thought Dinosaur was a little too long.

[1:07:47] Whitney: I think Dinosaur could have actually ended a little bit earlier.

[1:07:52] Abby: No, Hello, Goodbye doesn't do anything for me.

[1:07:53] Whitney: I'm fine with that.

[1:07:56] Abby: I think I like the mp3.

[1:07:58] Whitney: Mercedes goes really crazy on that song.

[1:08:00] Abby: I don't, her ad-libs are insane. But I also think I'm, Hello, Goodbye.

[1:08:08] Whitney: I would have chosen Hello, Goodbye. If it was Whitney, myself and you, Hello, Goodbye would have gone.

[1:08:13] Abby: It would have happened a lot differently.

[1:08:14] Whitney: Yeah, this would be a different competition right now.

[1:08:17] Abby: We wouldn't be here.

[1:08:19] Whitney: We wouldn't be here.

[1:08:20] Abby: We wouldn't be having this conversation.

[1:08:23] Whitney: And then also the other legal note that I want to bring up is that this, so Britney already has a Bertolo in round four of the Glackett. And that, of course, is Christmas rapping, which is also the only Christmas song that has made it to round four.

[1:08:39] Abby: That is the final Christmas song in the Glackett.

[1:08:42] Whitney: But so Dinosaur could be an additional Bertolo in round four.

[1:08:51] Abby: I don't know how safe it is with me and Abby around, to be honest.

[1:08:54] Whitney: I'm feeling like it's time to.

[1:08:56] Abby: It doesn't seem like it's time for it to be over.

[1:08:59] Whitney: It doesn't seem very safe, honestly.

[1:09:02] Abby: I'm not gonna lie. Yeah. Like, "Dinosaur" is like, it's like fun. It's fun. It is fun, but I don't know. It's forgettable, too. Like, I wouldn't say it's like safe around me right now. Like, I wouldn't say that. I'm hitting skip. You're hitting skip. I'm listening to it. When it comes up on Shuffle, I will, I will hear it through. I think it's very fun. I also want to acknowledge the very fun lyrics, like the, um, "Honey, your toupees fall into the left side. Get up and go, bro. Oh, wait, you're fossilized." I think that's so funny. Honestly, I don't know the lyrics. I think it's one of, it's like, I don't think I'm gonna click on it. And I think if it came up, I'd have to be in a specific mood to listen to it.

I will say the mp3 pulling a lot more weight than the mp4 because, again, that Finn-Sue conversation, that is not good prom conversation. It's not good. It isn't. Yeah. They didn't go to the Finn and Jesse school of having prom conversations during a song and it shows. It shows. I can see it. Finn did not go to the Finn and Jesse school. I completely didn't realize that I was talking about one person that was in a good conversation.

[1:10:11] Whitney: Okay, are we ready?

[1:10:13] Abby: The duality of man.

[1:10:15] Whitney: The duality.

[1:10:17] Abby: How far he's fallen from that. Okay, are we ready to see what "Dinosaur" is going to be against?

[1:10:23] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:10:25] Abby: Oh, finally. Came to have fun. Finally. Not to say that "Dinosaur" wasn't fun. But this is kind of really peak fun. When you think of a really fun Glee song, what do you think of?

[1:10:37] Whitney: Fun as in how, though?

[1:10:39] Abby: Like fun as in campy? Or fun as in actually good? I'm putting on a Glee song and I want to have fun. What song is that for you?

[1:10:48] Whitney: Like a nostalgia.

[1:10:52] Abby: Ooh, "Glory" is a good choice.

[1:10:54] Whitney: Ooh, "Glory" is a good one.

[1:10:56] Abby: I'm thinking just like more the pure essence of fun. And I'm going to show you. Are you ready?

[1:11:02] Whitney: Like the Glee club is having fun or I'm having fun?

[1:11:04] Abby: Everyone's having fun.

[1:11:06] Whitney: Hmm.

[1:11:08] Abby: Please not "Happy."

[1:11:10] Whitney: What season is it?

[1:11:12] Abby: It's one.

[1:11:14] Whitney: Early one.

[1:11:16] Abby: Is it a Will solo?

[1:11:18] Whitney: No.

[1:11:20] Abby: But then they all start dancing with him? Because they look like they're having fun there.

[1:11:24] Whitney: Yeah, I understand that argument. But no.

[1:11:28] Abby: How early are we talking, though?

[1:11:30] Whitney: We're talking about, I believe, episode six.

[1:11:32] Abby: Ooh, episode reveal.

[1:11:34] Whitney: Oh, "Confessions"?

[1:11:36] Abby: Or is it "Walking on Sunshine"?

[1:11:38] Whitney: It is "Walking on Sunshine."

[1:11:40] Abby: Oh, no.

[1:11:42] Whitney: We won.

[1:11:44] Abby: Actually, yeah. I feel like, Abby, this song is very much you.

[1:11:48] Whitney: I don't know.

[1:11:50] Abby: Do you think so?

[1:11:54] Whitney: I don't know your exact opinions on this song, but what I understand about you, this is really you.

[1:12:00] Abby: What are your thoughts on this?

[1:12:04] Whitney: You're so sweet. Thank you. Listen, I love this episode. I love the mashup episodes. I think that they're so cute. I love the wave of nostalgia. I feel so, like, wow. Also, who would have ever thought to put these songs together? It's such an interesting choice. It's so inspiring. And then I also think about how's Jenna's neck? I think about that to this day. Is it okay? Has it gotten better? Is it still fucking bad? I don't know. I was looking at it and I was like, yeah, I understand why you broke it. She went all in. They all went all in. I think it's so fun. I think it's hilarious that Quinn is not going as hard as they are. I think it's so sweet. And then I think about the tour and I think about Leah hitting this, I think it's either that note or maybe a higher note on tour.

I'm like, girl, it's a good song. I like this one. It makes me happy. I love season one, so I love her. I don't know if there's other examples here but Glee covers where they take a slow song because they do a lot of fast songs and make them slow but a slow song like "Halo" and speed it up, speed up the tempo a little bit and it really, ooh, such an inspired mind. Is that something for you? Really, really great.

[1:13:31] Whitney: It's a good one. My controversial Glee opinion is that I would have chose "It's My Life/Confessions" over "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" if I was a part of that.

[1:13:44] Abby: If you were in the universe?

[1:13:46] Whitney: Thank you, Abby.

[1:13:48] Abby: Yeah, if I was in the Glooniverse. Should you be so lucky.

[1:13:52] Whitney: "It's My Life/Confessions," a lot more than I do "Halo/Walking on Sunshine."

[1:13:56] Abby: Really?

[1:13:58] Whitney: I listen to it so much that my Spotify DJ will be like, "What's up, Whitney? Here's something that's been your vibe lately. Confessions, 'It's My Life/Confessions.' We have something that you might like. We have proof that you like this, actually. You've listened to this a lot lately. You really like this song, huh? Favorite it."

[1:14:20] Abby: Absolutely. I do love that mashup a lot, though. I don't feel like people are talking about it enough. It's really good.

[1:14:26] Andrew: I just think, hmm, what do I want to say about this? "It's My Life/Confessions," very fun. The boy songs just generally aren't kind of, they're in the periphery for me. You know? And specifically the boy mashups, and this is so wrong to associate a good song like "It's My Life/Confessions Part 2" with, what's it, "Danger Zone"? No, don't even. Don't put them in the same bucket.

[1:15:03] Whitney: No, no, no.

[1:15:05] Andrew: No, no, no. No, no, no. Think about what you're saying.

[1:15:09] Whitney: Just one second.

[1:15:11] Andrew: I'm putting a lot of thought into what I'm saying. Is that not coming across?

[1:15:17] Whitney: No.

[1:15:19] Andrew: "It's My Life/Confessions Part 2." It's fun. When I do listen to it, I'm like, oh, I should listen to this more, and I just never do.

[1:15:31] Whitney: Okay, well, you need to be on my Spotify DJ because my algorithm will be playing. Listen, well, I'm curious an additional poll maybe for this episode. Where do just leaks just in general stand between the "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" versus "It's My Life/Confessions Part 2"? This is what your podcast should be about, actually.

[1:15:53] Abby: This is the age-only answer.

[1:15:55] Whitney: There's legs there, yeah. I know. There has to be a bonus on the side where it goes through all the competitions that they've had, and you're ranking the songs within the competition and what would win, and then you push it through.

[1:16:11] Abby: I can do. I'll make this note for myself and do it. But I know that on Spotify you can do polls, and so I will put that poll for this episode if you're listening to it on Spotify. I'm curious. Where do you fall? Let the people know. If your answer is "Confessions, It's My Life," then stay in line. However, if it's the other answer, the polls are closed. Don't bother. They're not open.

[1:16:41] Whitney: Okay. Is that it? Is that the conversation?

[1:16:43] Abby: We love it. I feel like the conversation was more about the boys on the microphone.

[1:16:49] Whitney: Okay, wait, wait, wait. There's stuff to be had. There's stuff to be talked about.

[1:16:56] Abby: Uh-huh. I wonder how Tina's dress is doing. It got bought by somebody, right? So somebody has it. I wonder where it is now.

[1:17:04] Whitney: Wait, why just Tina's? Not all of them?

[1:17:06] Abby: I don't know where the rest are, but I know that Tina's dress was bought because Jenna talked about it in her episode with Naya and Heather when they were on. And so I wonder where that dress is now. I wonder if someone heard the podcast of her talking about, like, I sweat in it really badly. I hope that they washed it beforehand. I wonder what their thoughts were on that. I'm curious.

[1:17:30] Whitney: No, I'm a freak and I would keep the sweat, right?

[1:17:32] Abby: That's fair.

[1:17:34] Whitney: No, that's, well, it depends. Do you want to wear it?

[1:17:40] Abby: I'll be honest. I would probably try it on. I would try it on. I'll be real.

[1:17:46] Whitney: Right? Wouldn't you?

[1:17:48] Abby: I think I would.

[1:17:54] Whitney: Would I? Now we're asking the real questions. If you had Jenna Ushkowitz's dress from "Halo/Walking on Sunshine," one, would you wash it? And two, would you wear it?

[1:18:08] Abby: I don't think I'd wear it out in public.

[1:18:14] Whitney: No, of course I'm not wearing it out in public. Not of course, but I'm not. I think...

[1:18:21] Abby: I thought you were going to wear it to, like...

[1:18:23] Whitney: Oh, no!

[1:18:25] Abby: No, he's like, he's going to try it on. Just a little fitting. I just want to see how it fits.

[1:18:31] Whitney: No, that's fair. No, that's fair. That makes more sense. Actually, it's time that everyone knows that I actually have the Jenna Ushkowitz dress from "Halo/Walking on Sunshine." And I enjoy wearing it, okay?

[1:18:41] Abby: Yeah, you should enjoy wearing it. It's a cute dress.

[1:18:45] Whitney: And her sweat is still there. And my sweat joined hers. And they combined.

[1:18:51] Abby: I'll try the dress on, sweat and all.

[1:18:57] Whitney: When you, like, go and try out clothes, like, there are a lot of people in those clothes, so what's the difference?

[1:19:05] Abby: I've never thought of that. I know that we tried to have a conversation about "Halo/Walking on Sunshine." Was this a conversation that you wanted to have, Addy?

[1:19:13] Whitney: I think this is...

[1:19:17] Abby: We got laughs out of it, so that's all I really care about. My one note is all I can think about is they all look really pretty. They look great. I saw Naya smile and I was like, oh, she's so cute.

[1:19:31] Whitney: How far do you think this... How many rounds are there supposed to be in general?

[1:19:37] Abby: Nobody knows. Ten? I don't know. We don't do math. We just watch Glee.

[1:19:46] Whitney: We'll figure it out.

[1:19:48] Abby: I'd say, I'd say, I feel like it depends. I think this is a great example of a Glee song and so I really want it to make it far. I kind of want this to be top 25. I want it to be, but sometimes it'll get paired up with, I don't know, what if it gets paired up with "Don't Stop Believing" season one? Then it's just like, okay, goodbye. Or "Paradise" by The Dashboard because that one should win.

[1:20:16] Whitney: I would consider taking "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" over "Don't Stop Believing" though.

[1:20:22] Abby: What about "Paradise"?

[1:20:24] Whitney: That's interesting. I listened to "Paradise" on the train the other day and I was like, oh, there's so much here. It's so good. It's so good. Guys, it's really good.

[1:20:36] Abby: I think you can tell the difference between people that watch the show live and people that watch the show later on when it's all on streaming because some people are like, oh, I don't feel anything with "Paradise." I'm like, how?

[1:20:48] Whitney: I didn't watch it live.

[1:20:50] Abby: Well, Abby, you're an empath, so it's okay.

[1:20:52] Whitney: You recognize that about me?

[1:20:54] Abby: You get it. It's coming across.

[1:21:04] Whitney: Low key, I would choose "Don't Stop" over this though, I'm not going to lie.

[1:21:08] Abby: I would too. I'll be the first to say it. "Don't Stop" just gives me chills. At the end of the day, we're just Gleeks.

[1:21:17] Whitney: You're right. Who am I to say "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" is better than "Don't Stop Believing"? Come on. Let's be so real.

[1:21:25] Abby: But that's not the competition that's happening right now. The competition that's of course happening is "Dinosaur," Gleekast version by the Gleekasts, and then "Halo/Walking on Sunshine," Gleekast version by the Gleekasts. It's really anybody's win here. Does anybody feel confident in their vote?

[1:21:39] Whitney: I'm so scared.

[1:21:41] Abby: Lord, I don't know what I'm going to do. "Dinosaur" is crying right now, and you're laughing. It's going extinct. We're all voting for "Halo/Walking on Sunshine."

[1:21:57] Whitney: Yes, now we can say "Dinosaur" has been fossilized.

[1:22:01] Abby: There we go. Okay, she threatened the jokes this week. Whitney, iconic, is this everything that you wanted for a round three competition? Do you wish it was a little more spicy?

[1:22:11] Whitney: We brought the spice.

[1:22:13] Abby: We did as best we could. We had to do something. We had to do something.

[1:22:21] Whitney: I feel insane right now. They're very seldom that I'll be in a recording where I don't feel like I'm in the recording.

[1:22:29] Abby: I feel like we're not actually recording right now.

[1:22:40] Whitney: I had to check. Whitney, thank you so much. Until next time. I hope it's not another three years until we see you again.

[1:22:50] Andrew: Hey, baby, I'm gonna see it through. We gotta have Whitney come back.

[1:22:54] Abby: I want to advertise this and make a deadline for myself so that I actually finish it, but I sent you like two or three voice notes of my Gleecast episode called The Rise and Fall of the Gleecast Princess. I'm remembering this, yes. And I want to put my pitch on a Gleek of the Week pod episode one day.

[1:23:14] Andrew: Can I hear a synopsis? I think it would be a very...

[1:23:18] Abby: Like, tiny synopsis?

[1:23:19] Andrew: Like a one liner.

[1:23:21] Abby: Let me pull up the thing. I have it in my notes app. I remember listening to it on the subway. Oh, subway!

[1:23:27] Andrew: Oh, subway!

[1:23:28] Abby: She's gone away!

[1:23:33] Andrew: Could you imagine Rachel singing that?

[1:23:34] Abby: People are saying that's a Rachel Santana duet.

[1:23:39] Andrew: Somehow.

[1:23:39] Abby: Yeah, like they're in like, one's in Ohio, one's in New York.

[1:23:45] Andrew: Or even Santana just broke up with...

[1:23:50] Abby: First of all, I need to say that I didn't know that song wasn't out. I thought it was out this whole time. So then when it officially got released and everybody was like, just using the same audio, I was like, y'all, this came out years ago! Where y'all been? Y'all, we have subway already!

[1:24:07] Andrew: What is this? Like, we have the song already.

[1:24:09] Abby: But yeah. No, but Whitney, I think that that's a very good pitch for yourself. That's a very fun episode introduction.

[1:24:20] Andrew: So I will just put my first two, my first line, that way to get a little interest in it, you know? It focuses on two princesses.

[1:24:29] Abby: Princesses?

[1:24:30] Andrew: However you say that word.

[1:24:32] Abby: Santana of the new directions and unique of vocal adrenaline.

[1:24:35] Andrew: Oh.

[1:24:37] Abby: It's good.

[1:24:38] Andrew: There are worse things I could do.

[1:24:40] Abby: Heads are going crazy right now.

[1:24:44] Andrew: It's really... I worked really hard on this.

[1:24:46] Abby: I'm actually really intrigued, like, where can this go?

[1:24:49] Andrew: We actually need it.

[1:24:51] Abby: I actually need it. Whitney, when do you think that you can have it done by? Give me a deadline and I'll have it. I work a lot better under pressure.

[1:25:00] Whitney: A month.

[1:25:01] Andrew: A month. Let's make it happen.

[1:25:03] Whitney: Okay, September 11th.

[1:25:06] Andrew: Why are you laughing?

[1:25:09] Whitney: What happened?

[1:25:11] Andrew: Whitney, I can't wait for your return. I know that people are going to be clamoring at their cages until we hear the rise and fall of a Midwest Gleek?

[1:25:21] Abby: Of a Glee cast princess or Glee Club princess.

[1:25:24] Andrew: A Glee Club princess.

[1:25:25] Abby: Yeah, there we go. Thank you so much, Whitney. This has been nothing short of iconic. I'm gonna be waiting for that. Bye.

[1:25:31] Whitney: Bye, Whitney.

[1:25:34] Andrew: Okay, and next we have, of course, Jordan.

[1:25:38] Jordan: Hello?

[1:25:42] Andrew: Hey, hey, hey, party people.

[1:25:47] Jordan: Just because everybody else.

[1:25:48] Andrew: Wait, Jordan. Um, how long?

[1:25:51] Jordan: Okay, wait, what is your? How much time?

[1:25:54] Andrew: How much time do you have?

[1:25:55] Jordan: Okay, I probably got like 45 to 50 minutes until I like have to be out of here.

[1:26:02] Andrew: We'll go.

[1:26:02] Jordan: Okay, we can reel it in.

[1:26:04] Andrew: We can reel it in. I'm sorry that we went over. I appreciate your patience.

[1:26:07] Jordan: Every single second of listening. Hi, everyone. Hi from Australia.

[1:26:12] Andrew: Oh my gosh. Wait, so wait. Yeah, what time is it again?

[1:26:16] Jordan: For me right now, I'm in Melbourne. It's 9:42 AM.

[1:26:20] Andrew: Holy moly. On Tuesday morning.

[1:26:22] Jordan: And you kept, you kept Jordan waiting.

[1:26:25] Andrew: Oh my gosh. Nobody told me.

[1:26:26] Jordan: Nobody told me.

[1:26:30] Andrew: Who told me that?

[1:26:30] Jordan: This is you finding out.

[1:26:32] Andrew: Um, Jordan, um, Glack at Grievances. This is Gleek the Week debut. What do you have for us?

[1:26:41] Jordan: Thank you. First time, long time listener. First time Glack at it right here. I just quickly my history with the pod is that I found y'all's pod when you were on. And that's what you really missed back in. What was it? June of 2023. And then of course, just like being in all of these episodes back to back to back to back. I am a round one, like, truther, essentially. My favorite thing back in round one was when you and Allison would vote the same and that the guest would vote differently. And it was just like this absolute takedown of the guest every single time. And I would just like, I just thought it was like the best. It's like, why are they here?

[1:27:17] Andrew: Yeah, I'd call it like, when it was those competitions to me, that was a gluttony. Um, okay. Grievances. I've been like, thinking about this. I've only got one for round one because I'm like, it's so far in the past. It's done. They're not coming back. Like, it doesn't matter what I say about them. Like, she dead. Like, she not coming back. But I will say there's one.

[1:27:45] Abby: But we need to remember them.

[1:27:46] Jordan: Yes. Okay. I might get a bit emotional.

[1:27:48] Abby: Okay.

[1:27:49] Jordan: It's getting emotional. It's loser like me season two versus be okay. I just. And I regret that. I feel very bad. I just stick up my ass during that recording.

[1:28:00] Abby: Yeah.

[1:28:00] Jordan: And like, if we just talk a moment about be okay's history on the blackhead in round two, it then went up against highway to hell. And I know highway to hell mp4 is short. Like, we know we get it. But you're telling me that remember, remembering that this blackhead is about the best performance on glee. You're telling me be okay is a better performance than highway to hell. Have you never streamed be okay?

[1:28:26] Abby: As much as like, we like giving be okay shit. Have you never? Have you never streamed it?

[1:28:32] Jordan: I just, I mean, of course I have. But I still, I just don't see it. Like, it's just, it's not it for me. And then like, obviously, only a few weeks ago against more than words. And y'all dragged it through the mud. Crazy.

[1:28:44] Abby: Wait, we dragged be okay through the mud?

[1:28:48] Jordan: Yeah. I mean, there was all of this chat about like, the conflict between like, Leah and Naya and all this stuff, which is like, obviously true and fair. But like, why wasn't that coming up in previous rounds?

[1:29:00] Abby: Why is he kind of gagging you?

[1:29:02] Jordan: Yeah, this is crazy. Yeah, go ahead.

[1:29:06] Abby: I don't even understand. Like, just to bring it back to round one. I just, I really am a little confused about it winning against the loser like me, Loki. That is not a Pesbary duet I reach for.

[1:29:14] Jordan: I think it's probably the last one I reach for, for me.

[1:29:25] Abby: Like it's the girl?

[1:29:26] Jordan: No, I think I don't think I'd stream either of them. But I think maybe I don't know. I don't know. Don't make me choose. I don't choose that. But I think I don't think be okay is like cute. Like, she's cute.

[1:29:39] Abby: Like, she's cute.

[1:29:40] Jordan: But like a loser like me, which is more iconic, I feel like in the grand scheme of the whole show. So like, whether or not like, like, we can only be I can only be who I are like, okay, like chop, whatever. But at the end of the day, I think I would have chosen it just for like the weight it carries in the show. And I feel like be okay carries less weight. And another question I have is at that point in time, were Leah and Nia beefing, beefing at that point?

[1:30:03] Abby: Or was because my thing is like, the timing of it. I always try to do the math. And I'm like, I don't know if they were in line of the beef. If they were beefing, beefing for real when the beef was going on, or if it was like, and or did it just was it like beef? And then it got worse, because I know it was really bad at the end of season five, which is which, at some point, after doing some analyses, I was like, wait, I don't actually think they were beefing, beefing when Santana and Rachel were beefing. Like, I don't think it was like bad, like maybe like some like, like awkwardness, maybe or like some distance, because, you know, Leah's warning to send a third, but I don't actually think like, I don't feel anything like, really, like an emotional impact or like, oh my god, this is so terrible.

They were really having like, really strong beef. And that's terrible to make them do that. Like, I don't think I don't even think they were like, beefing, beefing that, that crazy at that point. I think it was more later, like later on. The writers were just stirring the pot, like they were like, come on, let's, let's get these girls going. Let's get some, let's get some publicity around this shit. Like, obviously, we're at the ratings are going through the floor, baby, like, let's, let's get people interested again. So we're going to like make up this like idea that they're beefing and then plot twist, they did beef.

[1:31:14] Jordan: They actually start beefing.

[1:31:15] Abby: Exactly. They actually start. No, but Abby, rewatch BOK MP4 and tell me that if they are not, they're on different planes of existence. They are refusing to mash.

[1:31:26] Jordan: I, I think that there's, I think you could say that you could say maybe they're really acting down and really like, you know, there's because whatever they they squash the beef, whatever.

[1:31:35] Abby: Yeah.

[1:31:36] Jordan: But it's like, you know, we're just like squashing the beef. It's like, we're gonna be okay. We're not gonna be excellent. We're just gonna be okay.

[1:31:43] Abby: But I would argue season five chemistry was everywhere for everybody. Some people had great chemistry. So some people I'm not going to say who or what or when or how, but it was like, are they even like some people really just checked out. And so sometimes when it comes to chemistry between people in season five, like, like they were kind of checked out. So I can't really hold it against them because I don't even think I think they read the script this morning. I think they were the sides just an hour before. And they're really just like, just coming, like literally clocking in and clocking out. So that's why I'm not like, you know, analyzing too much of it.

[1:32:18] Jordan: But I don't know. I need to go back into my files and look at the dates because it I started to why you have 45 minutes. It doesn't matter. I'll listen. I'll listen to it on playback. Record it. Laughter doesn't matter. Be okay. I wouldn't have chosen it. And I understand what you're saying, Jordan. Thank you. Thank you so much. And ultimately what it comes down to is Loser Like Me season two should have gone further on the blackout. Like that's that's the truth of it. Period.

[1:32:46] Abby: It was episode 10. I'm not like I'm not actually getting mad at you, Jordan.

[1:32:51] Jordan: No, no. It was episode 10 of the podcast. I thought like I thought it would be maybe like more fun and interesting to really hate Loser Like Me season two. I was it was 2021, Andrew. If I wish that it made it to round two, I think that if it made it to round two, then like I think that we could have potentially looked at around three Loser Like Me season two, you know, but yeah, that's just not how it happened.

[1:33:21] Abby: I just like Loser Like Me season two is just like the epitome of camp, which is exactly what Glee is. And like, that's what I look for. That's what like obviously brought me into the show is like, yeah, it's the it's so musical theater. It's so obviously written for the show as well. So it like takes away the jukeboxiness of like the rest of the show. I just think it's it was it was so perfect. And even now as a 30 year old, I listen to that song like that's number one on my like getting ready playlist to go out like that is getting me hyped.

[1:33:56] Jordan: And so where do you fall in the season five version?

[1:33:58] Abby: I love season five version, of course, but like for completely different reasons like that's that's like they're not even sisters. They're not even cousins.

[1:34:05] Jordan: Like they're not remotely related.

[1:34:07] Abby: They're not even related at all. Like Loser Like Me season two. All I share is a name.

[1:34:17] Jordan: Oh, that's weird. We have the same name.

[1:34:21] Abby: When were you born?

[1:34:25] Jordan: Season two version is like she's the girlfriend that you like call up when you're like, I need a night out. Like, let's go crazy. Let's do shots. Like I need to just like forget about something. And then season five version is like, babe, I need to cry. I need to like get emotional. I need to get deep.

[1:34:38] Abby: Exactly.

[1:34:43] Jordan: Yeah, exactly. And the vocals on that one are really good. And again, stay in topical season five version already solidified round four. It's there. And I'm here for it. Sorry, season two version. When it gets doo-wop. Which we'll move on anyway.

[1:35:05] Andrew: All right, Loser Like Me season two. Okay, I've got a couple from round two. The first one is Buenos Aires versus Problem. I don't get Problem. I'm not a Problem stanner. I just, I don't get it.

[1:35:13] Abby: I don't understand it.

[1:35:16] Jordan: I don't get it either. I, the other thing that's funny to me is there's literally an episode previously in season two called the Problem with Problem. So we've established.

[1:35:23] Abby: Yes.

[1:35:28] Jordan: Exactly. So we've established that she, she's creating trouble.

[1:35:32] Abby: Problematic.

[1:35:32] Jordan: She's exactly, she's problematic. There's something wrong with Buenos Aires. It went against, and I, that was one.

[1:35:41] Abby: No, no, no. That was not a, that was not a competition.

[1:35:44] Jordan: You were in an episode called the Problem with Problem. Problem wasn't in that episode.

[1:35:48] Abby: I was just fucking talking about her.

[1:35:52] Jordan: Yeah, we were just talking her ass.

[1:35:56] Abby: I don't know how it got brought up, but we were talking about Problem.

[1:35:58] Jordan: I'm surprised. But yeah. Okay. Um, my next one is Hungry Like the Wolf Rio versus Uninvited. It's been said, it's been done. We all know it. I am so glad that Hungry Like the Wolf Rio isn't gone now, but Uninvited did not deserve to be eliminated that soon. That's so nasty.

[1:36:16] Abby: That was entirely my doing.

[1:36:17] Jordan: So hateful. Let's say, let's say some real truth right here, right now. Big Brother is the worst episode of season three.

[1:36:28] Abby: I need to do a rundown.

[1:36:30] Jordan: Huh?

[1:36:31] Abby: What is the worst one of season three?

[1:36:33] Jordan: Let's turn to Shishir now.

[1:36:35] Abby: I still think Big Brother's worse.

[1:36:38] Abby: Pretty bad.

[1:36:40] Whitney: I actually think Big Brother's kind of fun sometimes.

[1:36:43] Jordan: Sometimes.

[1:36:44] Abby: I just think it lifts right out, like it's just, it's just one of those, it's just so, it's so filler. It adds nothing. I feel nothing towards it. And like, Blaine's fine, but also I don't need to know who Blaine's brother is. I don't care. I don't care.

[1:37:02] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:37:02] Jordan: No.

[1:37:03] Abby: Yeah.

[1:37:03] Whitney: I agree.

[1:37:04] Abby: So yeah, happy that Hungry Like the Wolf Rio is gone. Very upset that Uninvited hasn't remained because another thing about Uninvited that hasn't been mentioned on this podcast, as far as I'm aware, is Lea Michele's vocal at the start of the series, crystal clear, Broadway girly, think on my own, think Taking Chances, like those early season one solos. They are just so beautiful. She sounds like a bell. She's come straight off Broadway.

[1:37:32] Jordan: By the end of the series, they have pushed that girl to her absolute, can I swear?

[1:37:37] Abby: Oh yeah, yeah.

[1:37:38] Jordan: Absolute fucking limit. Like her voice by the end of season six, listen to Let It Go and like with headphones on, on blast, that bitch is raspy as fuck. She is struggling.

[1:37:51] Abby: Asking me to listen to Let It Go is hilarious.

[1:37:55] Jordan: Listen to the cast of Let It Go.

[1:37:59] Abby: I am never listening to that.

[1:38:01] Jordan: If she had sung Let It Go in season one, it would have been better than the original, in my opinion. Her voice would have been in that really healthy place when she was still Broadway princess vibes. By the end, they've had her do so much of that like 80s rock vibe that her voice is just so strained and like raspy. And I don't know if I have like the right lexicon to be able to describe it, but I think you know what I'm saying.

[1:38:26] Whitney: That Uninvited works so perfectly for that vocal quality that she has at the end of the series.

[1:38:32] Abby: That's so interesting. Wait, so you're saying that, okay, Glee destroyed her voice and in some cases it's bad, but in some cases we kind of benefit from her voice being destroyed when she's singing a song like Uninvited.

[1:38:50] Jordan: I don't want to go so hard to, yeah, Gloria is another great example. I think, I don't want to go so hard to say that it destroyed her voice. I'm just saying she was clearly very overworked. Like that queen was in the studio 24-7.

[1:39:04] Abby: Exactly. And like, you know, she's singing every single episode. And of course, like when they're recording, obviously they've got it on playback, but she's still singing like full out every time they do a take so that they can make sure that like the lip syncing looks right and that the breath looks all correct and all of that stuff. I just think like by the end of the series, like her voice is so tired that it does work for a lot of those, like, kind of more like rocky, edgy songs as opposed to like Pop Princess.

[1:39:32] Whitney: Yeah, I agree.

[1:39:32] Abby: Thank you. I really appreciate your support. Okay, my next one is I'll Remember versus Sway.

[1:39:40] Jordan: I'm sorry, Andrew. Are we getting another? Wait.

[1:39:43] Abby: I hate I'll Remember. No, you already know where we stand on this.

[1:39:49] Whitney: Why would you do this? He's going to put salt in the wound.

[1:39:52] Jordan: You come into our houses, I'll Remember. I think I'll Remember is the worst colo out of all of them.

[1:39:59] Abby: Nah, you're bugging, bro. You're bugging. You're bugging.

[1:40:02] Whitney: Listen to all the colos challenge. I hate I'll Remember. Sway supremacy.

[1:40:07] Jordan: Thank you, Eduardo. I think like whatever hate towards Will Schuster, I'm not having it. Boo.

[1:40:14] Abby: I can't stand it. I think Matthew Morrison singing Sway is the perfect song choice for him and his vocal as opposed to I'll Remember for Chris Colfer. Get it away from me.

[1:40:27] Whitney: No.

[1:40:30] Abby: The whisper at the end is so cringe. Like I feel my genitals go up inside me every time he does it. Like I can't, I can't, I can't cope.

[1:40:37] Jordan: It was unnecessary, but it was kind of necessary for me. I kind of love it.

[1:40:42] Abby: I think like the fact that I'll Remember is gone now is the opposite of Glackett grievance for me. Like it's, it's Glackett vindication. It's, I don't even know.

[1:40:50] Whitney: Well, I just like, I'm so happy that she's, she's missing.

[1:40:54] Abby: Okay. And that brings me to my missing, never to be seen again.

[1:41:00] Jordan: We actually don't know where she went.

[1:41:05] Abby: She's like, she's buried in some hole somewhere.

[1:41:07] Whitney: Yeah. She wasn't just removed from the Glackett. She's fully missing.

[1:41:25] Abby: Yeah. Okay. And you know what? I, I will not remember. I'll remember.

[1:41:29] Jordan: You would be like, fuck your daughter. I hope they never find her.

[1:41:35] Abby: Anyway, we, this analogy has gone on too far. Go ahead. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry.

[1:41:39] Whitney: That leads me to the best colo of the series. Everything's as if we never say goodbye versus Boogie Shoes. Now don't get me wrong. Boogie Shoes is great. Boogie Shoes is amazing. I love Boogie Shoes, but the best colo in the series is as if we never say goodbye.

[1:41:54] Jordan: I mean, of course people are pointing to Rose's turn and what is your rebuttal to that?

[1:41:58] Abby: I think, I think Kurt as, oh my God, I'm blanking on the character's name, Norma Desmond.

[1:42:09] Whitney: Yeah.

[1:42:14] Abby: Versus Kurt as Mama Rose just wins out.

[1:42:19] Jordan: There's like also the fact that it's commercial break to commercial break. It is like.

[1:42:22] Abby: That is diabolical.

[1:42:22] Jordan: Yeah.

[1:42:27] Abby: It's so good. Like that is camp as hell. I just like, I don't know, something about it, it just fits so perfectly in the story. Not saying that Rose's turn doesn't, but I just, I think it's the perfect vocal for him. It just sits so perfectly in his range.

[1:42:36] Whitney: Like he is at his absolute peak when he's singing that song. And I love every second.

[1:42:41] Abby: But I will say I do love Boogie Shoes. It's a personal stand of mine. So no hate there.

[1:42:47] Jordan: And then last one for round two is, we've all said it. We all know it. Paradise by the Dashboard Light versus Survivor I Will Survive. I, obviously like we all love Survivor I Will Survive. Like who doesn't? It's not, it's impossible to not love. But I still would have voted Paradise. I'm not into pity votes. I'm not interested in that. These are inanimate. They're not even objects. They don't have feelings. I have feelings.

[1:43:17] Abby: They're not even objects, bro.

[1:43:20] Jordan: Yeah.

[1:43:20] Abby: I think, but for me, Paradise is my, is the winner of my Glackett. So that's why I was like, and I was like, okay, I get it. Like we know she's going to be brought back. But I was like, no, let's just like, let's make the call. Let's make the cut. Let's do it. Let's have that conversation. Let's get rid of Survivor I Will Survive.

[1:43:38] Whitney: Hell no. We have them both. In the same way that the boy's mind just keeps coming back, the Paradise will also come back every single time. It'll just, they'll just come back.

[1:43:46] Jordan: They'll just come back. But I think if I, if I had to choose, but you know what it really comes down to, like, I feel like at the end of the day, right? Like Paradise might've lost, but if you put Paradise against something in the final, final round, it'll win. And I don't know how to explain the logic of what I'm trying to say, but it's like, when, when you come down to the wire of like, this is going to be the song, I think people would have, would choose Paradise over Survivor.

[1:44:11] Abby: If it was like in that competition of like, this is the song to win the Glackett, which song are you picking? I think Paradise would win.

[1:44:18] Whitney: Completely.

[1:44:18] Jordan: Even with the same people, even with the same people who voted Survivor through.

[1:44:22] Abby: If it was final round.

[1:44:24] Jordan: Yeah. Final round. And it's the same group who voted Survivor. They're voting Paradise the next time. Cause when you're faced with like, what's the answer? I think, I think so.

[1:44:34] Abby: Can you say that Survivor I Will Survive is the best song on Glee? Seriously?

[1:44:40] Jordan: Yeah.

[1:44:40] Abby: Can you say it?

[1:44:46] Jordan: No, especially because there are better, there are better trouble-toned songs to me. So I think River, not River Deep, Rumor Has It is better than Survivor I Will Survive.

[1:44:52] Abby: So then I'd have to be like, does, like, does Survivor, like, if Survivor made it to the end with that other, with Paradise, I'd be like, well, Survivor isn't even the best trouble-toned song. I can't give it to Survivor. I'd have to give, and Paradise has pretty much everybody on it. It's the perfect song to win. Like, that's, it's like half the fucking cash is on it.

[1:45:10] Whitney: They get like, it's not like, oh, like, even Mike is on there, even though people like to pretend like he's not, but he is on there.

[1:45:14] Jordan: But he is. We know this.

[1:45:20] Abby: But you know who isn't? The only, like, senior that isn't on the song is Diana.

[1:45:27] Whitney: Yeah. Right. Damn.

[1:45:27] Jordan: But her spirit is so felt.

[1:45:33] Abby: Right. But she was on, I think she was on today's and that's what we really miss.

[1:45:41] Whitney: Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Big one in the end.

[1:45:41] Jordan: Yeah. Wait, Jordan, what else are you saying?

[1:45:46] Jordan: Just that, like, I think if you were someone who watched Glee as it aired, like I was, you know, I was that 15, 16 year old little gay boy in small town Australia. And, you know, this show was my everything. It was my only kind of, like, escape into kind of this world that, like, accepted me and wanted me. And, you know, I felt like I was there, you know, all of that stuff. Paradise was just like the pinnacle moment. You know, we went on that journey with those people for three years and to finally get to that point where they did that, they did the damn thing and they ended it. And it was like, yeah, they're going to win. Like they just and then obviously the win of it all. I just think like the it is the epitome in terms of like that emotional connection to the show as well.

[1:46:29] Abby: I do want to bring up, of course, Somebody to Love season one version as I feel like that's kind of unspoken.

[1:46:38] Jordan: I'm feeling it's not being talked about in this conversation.

[1:46:42] Abby: You're right. That is my Don't Stop Believing.

[1:46:46] Jordan: That song.

[1:46:46] Abby: That is. That is the Don't Stop Believing. That's the Don't Stop Believing.

[1:46:50] Jordan: Like, oh, my God, for me, like Somebody to Love. And then if I had to put Somebody to Love versus Paradise, oh, my God, that would be a hard one. I don't know what I would choose.

[1:46:55] Abby: I don't know what I would choose.

[1:46:58] Jordan: But Somebody to Love is another one that I completely agree is black material. I think I've said that before. It's the it's the it's the Emma reaction to Somebody to Love for me. I don't know what it is that she's just getting like very emotional. And I'm just like, oh, God, I'm also getting emotional.

[1:47:14] Abby: I've always thought that when Rachel goes for her callback and she sings, no, sorry, it goes for her audition and sings Don't Stop Believing, the Rolo version, I think she should have sung Somebody to Love as a Rolo. I mean, it's kind of already a Rolo. But like, have you ever seen the musical We Will Rock You?

[1:47:30] Jordan: No.

[1:47:30] Abby: No.

[1:47:30] Jordan: So obviously, jukebox musical that's all Queen music, not really anything to do with Queen, but it's just like all the Queen music.

[1:47:38] Abby: And the character Scaramouche sings Somebody to Love as a solo. And it's got like background harmony vocals and stuff from the ensemble. But it's just like it blows the roof off the theatre, any production that does it. It's unreal. And I just think she should have done that version of Somebody to Love. And like, they still could have had all of those flashback thoughts to like, you know, because she talks about like, I was thinking about my friends and like, how much this means to me and stuff like that was the moment. That was the song that changed it all. Not We Are Young. But it's so good.

[1:48:13] Jordan: And also the fact that they do Don't Stop Believing seven times throughout the entire series, but only Somebody to Love once.

[1:48:20] Abby: Yeah.

[1:48:20] Jordan: Yeah. I think they were supposed to do it again, weren't they? Weren't they supposed to do it again?

[1:48:23] Abby: No, no.

[1:48:24] Jordan: Or was it? No, they're supposed to do Turnaround.

[1:48:27] Abby: No, they're supposed to do Turnaround.

[1:48:29] Jordan: But okay, so they, like Quinn has a line in sectionals that they canonically perform Somebody to Love within this sectional season one setlist, but we don't see it.

[1:48:43] Abby: We don't see it. Whatever. We're not privy to that.

[1:48:48] Jordan: And I wish that I was privy to that.

[1:48:52] Abby: I wish I was because it's really beautiful. I love her. I love her so much.

[1:48:57] Jordan: So, Jordan, what time do we have you until?

[1:49:04] Jordan: Another 30 minutes.

[1:49:07] Abby: Oh, that's better than I expected. That's two songs.

[1:49:10] Jordan: That's better than I expected. I thought we had 10.

[1:49:15] Abby: Are you okay with going into song number one?

[1:49:18] Jordan: Absolutely. Do you want me to tell you what I'm manifesting?

[1:49:18] Jordan: Oh, my God, The Cup. Okay. I've never actually seen The Cup live before. I used to think it was so funny back in season one, sorry, round one, when everyone would be like, I didn't think The Cup was real. I was like, what made you think it wasn't real? Why? Why would they lie about The Cup not being real? Like every week.

[1:49:22] Abby: Yeah, what are you manifesting?

[1:49:36] Abby: And you are lying right now. If you're listening to this in audio fashion, I'm not holding anything right now and Jordan is lying.

[1:49:44] Jordan: Okay, my manifestations, I just think anything musical theatre, obviously Glee is a musical, that's kind of like the whole point. I think like the thing that Glee does best is making the song work contextually within the story as opposed to when they fit the story around the song, or the story around the songs. Like for example, the episode Hello, season one, episode 14, they just obviously chose all of those songs and then said, oh, let's weave the story around them to make them all connect and make sense.

[1:50:17] Abby: Yeah, crap. Like it's not good writing. It's a jukebox musical. I don't want that. I want the story to come first and for the songs to fit in. And so I think that a lot of the time that when they take songs

[1:50:26] Abby: From other musical theatre shows and fit them in. It's a good representation of that. I'm thinking Cell Block Tango. I'm thinking... It's all over. Getting Married Today. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Perfect. Anything that's musical theatre adjacent, so things that would otherwise appear in a musical maybe someday, like Marry You. Marry You is probably top two on my glacket. Or even originally sung by some musical theatre legends. I'm thinking Happy Days Are Here Again, Get Happy. Yeah, that would be perfect for me. Anything that Kristen Chenoweth does, One Less Bell To Answer, House Is Not A Home, also top five off my glacket. Yeah. So yeah, I'm going musical theatre. And I understand we only have you for another 30 minutes.

That's what I'm scared of. I'm scared that we're about to pull Bohemian Rhapsody right now. Oh, the things I do. What does that mean? Nothing that you mentioned. Oh. Anything we've spoken about? I don't think that is related to anything that we were talking about. Let's see if we can get it. It's a great one. Let's see. Let's see. What is the first thumbnail? Oh, you are not going to get it. I actually know that it's from the same episode in round two of the glacket where As If We Never Say Goodbye and Boogie Shoes go against each other, if you happen to recall. Damn. Wait, wait. So this is a season two song. Can you explain what you think you're looking at right now, Abby? This is the stage, probably the auditorium or the gym performance.

Okay. Yeah, we're looking. Is this a hot dog rag or something? Hot dog rag. Whatever. Honey rag thingy. Is this that? It's not. Okay. Jordan, do you want to take a guess? I mean, I'm looking at the fact that it's two minutes 56. I'm like, okay, so it's like a full length. She's not cut. And you said it's fun. We're seeing the littlest sliver of red light. I don't know. That is like a clue to like red, red dress. Am I? Red dress. Red dress. Running up. That's it. Can we get another hint? Is it? What season? Yes or no questions. What do you want? Okay. Is it a solo or a group number? Is it a competition? Oh, that's a good one. It's a solo. It's not a competition. It's a solo. It's not a competition.

Oh, it's not a competition. Fuck. I think we just need to we just need to pull. Is it a girl or a boy? Are you ready? It's a girl. Is it Mercedes? It is Mercedes. Is it? Is it? Ain't No Way. It is Ain't No Way. There we go. Oh, dear God. Oh, dear God. I love that song. Um, Jordan, what are you thinking? She's a beautiful girl. I no notes. No, of course I've got notes, but she's just so stunning. And like, you actually just like can't do any better than Amber Riley. It's iconic. Tell me I'm wrong. Iconic. Abby, what are you thinking? We have some notes. This song, her performance. I'm thinking of I'm thinking of her on tour doing this song. I want to be here. Over here.

[1:54:02] Abby: The choir literally has a choir that I'm thinking about those clips. Amazing. 10/10 her voice, voice of a generation for real. I literally like the day that she finally gets the world praise that she deserves is the day that I'll be comfortable dying. Okay. The third thing I love the Glee Club loves Mercedes down like every time she sings every time she opens her mouth, they're just looking at her with such love, such admiration. They're just like, enamored with her because she's that girl. She's insane. Also, the choir that she just has permanently, like that she just keeps with her at all times. That has her mom and her sister, which I think is so cute. I love that her mom and sister are just always in the background with the choir.

And just yeah, her voice is crazy. There's nothing else to say. I just love her. I love I love everything about her. And this song and then also just what it means in the scope of the whole episode. Speaking about the choir, this is I mean, obviously, we don't get 2009 until 2015. Four seasons later, but like, or I guess we know at this point that of course, like Mercedes belongs to a church choir. This is her church choir. Yeah, right. No, it is. Yeah. I feel like I'm just like, obvious. Yeah. Okay. It's her. Yeah, it's her church choir. It literally from her actual church, like Amber Riley's church. I'm pretty that's a real that's her real church choir. Wait, is that true? Yeah. Yeah. Like they asked her Oh, do you know what church choir and she's like, yeah, I know what church choir and she got the people from her church.

Like that's why her mom and her sister are in the choir. Oh, I love that. I did not know that fun fact. Yeah. Good. I kind of like to believe that the church choir like the Delta Nu Ensemble and Legally Blonde how they like the great chorus that don't really exist. They're just like in Mercedes head. Yeah. And like randomly, like they'll decide whether they can like be seen by other people or not. I really love that headcanon. Because like, also, it like it takes me out with Night of Neglect that like, they have a full like child band, accompanying turning tables, and they have this giant choir behind Mercedes for Ain't No Way. And yet no one's showing up for Night of Neglect. No one associated with either groups of those people.

That it's like, actually, we have better things to do. We're dropping you off. They don't even the people who are in the performance, they don't even stay. They don't even stay. The whole context around a Night of Neglect is that they're like such a neglected group of people. And then all of a sudden, they have like all of these additional performers coming in just performing for free. Yeah. They're spawning. Um, like, girl, I do have to say that. Oh, dear God, I love this song gives it extra points. Oh, it's the set. Like the second it started playing. I was like, yes. Sandy Ryerson. Obviously, we talked about who's Josh Grubin kill yourself. But like, he has so many runners up for like, just show tune show tunes.

And oh, dear God, I love this song, both part of this episode, just like instantly iconic and can like so easily like fit into lexicon like my own lexicon or anybody's like, it's like you can just say either whenever and whatever. It's beautiful. Um, you're right. It's really, it's really beautiful. Um, the notes that I wrote down. Um, obviously, you brought up Glee, the music Glee, the three concert movie. I rewatched it two weeks ago, in anticipation for the Kevin and Jenna recording. And everything every time that I watched the Ain't No Way live performance, obviously, how about over here is iconic within itself. But I'm really distracted by their two security guards. I'll put it in the carousel.

There are two like, security guards that are like fully having a conversation not can't be bothered at all with the mer solo that's happening just a few feet away. And it's just it's just really it just like hurts my heart to like watch them not acknowledge. Um, so that's what's coming up. Also, I wanted to bring up between we obviously don't know what the what the other opponent is in this competition. But like, I feel like Ain't No Way and And I'm Telling You tick a lot of the same boxes that it's mer solo that the Glee Club is celebrating. They're like, finally, we love this girl. And she is like, kind of like getting like, she's getting her due. Yeah. Um, but I'm kind of conflicted on like, which way I fall with like, which one I prefer?

Yeah. No, I think. Go ahead, Jordan. Go. No, you go first. I think I think, and I am telling you would would come in just above Ain't No Way for me personally, I think the fact that it looks like it's been like filmed on a Nokia 3315 is like giving it like the extra points from that that season one authentic vintage era. Obviously, like, you know, this show had 17 different endings, right? Season one, episode 13, we thought it was going to end. Season one, episode 22, we thought it was going to end. I just think like that, that particular performance from her was just like the perfect what could have been a potential ending to the show. Obviously, from that particular episode, I think that she put her whole masseuse into it.

And up until that point, she hadn't had too much like narrative or screen time, like I guess. And so this was like a real redemption moment, as opposed to Ain't No Way by this point, Mercedes has had more, I guess, opportunity. I will say that with Ain't No Way, for some reason, I just don't like the outfit that they put Mercedes in for this.

[2:00:01] Jordan: Oh, completely agree. She looks like a grandma.

[2:00:03] Abby: Why do they make her look so old? I don't know. Right?

[2:00:08] Jordan: I don't know what it is. Like, make her look hot. Make her look like she's 16. Like, I get that she's singing like an Aretha Franklin song. But like, I don't know. She can.

[2:00:14] Abby: Yeah. Is that bad to say, Abby?

[2:00:21] Abby: I think, I think, I don't know what I think. I think it's very, like, it's very, it reminds me of like, if I was gonna do a performance at school, and my mom was like, dressing me, she's like, you have to put on this church dress. Like, you're just like, no, mom. I don't want to wear this dress. I don't want to wear this church dress to school. Please. That's what it feels like to me. Like, it's like the perfect church.

[2:00:40] Jordan: Well, I'm about to say that Mercedes mom is canonically not there. So like, is it Mercedes mom that is like making her wear this outfit, but I guess she is canonically there.

[2:00:46] Abby: I'm not talking about Amber Riley's mom. I'm talking about Mercedes mom that we meet in 2009. That is part of this choir and has been the entire time, but we don't meet until this, like, penultimate episode of the series. So I think it could stand to reason that she's making Mercedes wear that. Because we need to justify it.

[2:01:04] Jordan: Yeah, I think so.

[2:01:06] Abby: And I think the little cut to Rachel in the wings watching on and she's like, clearly very emotional and like, feeling all sorts of things, but she kind of also looks like a bit disgusted. And in my opinion, I think she's looking at the dress.

[2:01:18] Jordan: She's responding to the dress!

[2:01:20] Abby: She's looking at the dress and she's like, Mercedes, why the fuck would you wear that? You are serving down right now and you're taking the spotlight for me and I'm letting it happen. But in that, like, come on, babe.

[2:01:39] Jordan: I don't want to veer off too much because I feel like if we end the Ain't No Way discourse on we really don't like what she's wearing, then I'm afraid that we're going to remember that when we're talking about the next song. You know what I mean? We love this song.

[2:01:54] Abby: Gowns, beautiful gowns, beautiful gowns.

[2:01:55] Jordan: Beautiful gowns! I can't even say that much, though.

[2:01:59] Abby: We really don't like what she's wearing is like a common theme for like anything Mercedes does in the entire series.

[2:02:03] Jordan: I will say that like, okay, but like, dog days are over. I like that she's like, dressed like an actual, like, it's not a great outfit and who am I to say anything? But like, it's not a great outfit, but at least she looks like a realized teenager, you know?

[2:02:18] Abby: Yeah, I think.

[2:02:20] Jordan: Whereas she looks like a realized grandma here.

[2:02:22] Abby: Like, it's like, sometimes like, like, some of the characters are just dressed as if they're like 40 unique kind of dressed like a little bit older as well.

[2:02:32] Jordan: But I think they've explained that where it's like, it's like, she is like picking clothes from like her mom's, like, closet. So like, that would make sense. It's like, okay, yeah.

[2:02:39] Abby: But I don't know. I don't know. Let's go. I don't know. I don't know.

[2:02:42] Jordan: But somebody said in the chat as if as if Rachel has a leg to stand on when it comes to fashion and Loki, you spilled. I don't think Rachel has any leg to stand on when it comes to fashion.

[2:02:53] Abby: Yeah.

[2:02:53] Jordan: Yep. Okay, wait, how much time do we have? Like 15 minutes?

[2:02:56] Abby: Yeah. Jordan, how are you doing?

[2:02:57] Jordan: Something like that.

[2:02:58] Abby: Okay. All right. Final song of the episode. I hope it's an easy one. I hope that we don't talk about it.

[2:03:02] Jordan: I'm sorry. I hate pushing this along. I wish I could say forever.

[2:03:05] Abby: Oh, no, you're fine. Within the same camp of like...

[2:03:10] Jordan: Bad outfit, good song.

[2:03:11] Abby: Ooh, like jazzy. I like this song a lot. I do think that the decision is clear without, oh, I can't say anything.

[2:03:18] Jordan: Yeah. Let's see if we can guess.

[2:03:20] Abby: Let's see. I think that you, oh, wait, actually, you won't be able to because it's like a, the music starts in a scene prior. Maybe you'll get it.

[2:03:30] Jordan: So like, we're looking at Jake talking to Mr. Schuster in his office.

[2:03:35] Abby: So this is like...

[2:03:35] Jordan: Do you know what song this is?

[2:03:36] Abby: This is like, oh, you should come and join the glee club. And then he's like, I'm never doing that. Like, whatever you suck. Is it a Marley?

[2:03:42] Jordan: Yes.

[2:03:42] Abby: Is it something Marley related? I don't know.

[2:03:44] Jordan: It's a Marley song. Yes.

[2:03:46] Abby: Oh, period. Okay.

[2:03:49] Jordan: Is it...

[2:03:50] Abby: Just a Marley solo?

[2:03:51] Jordan: It's a Marley solo. It's a Marlolo.

[2:03:53] Abby: Oh, yeah. Somebody said Chasing Pavements.

[2:03:56] Jordan: It is Chasing Pavements. Yeah.

[2:03:58] Abby: Okay. I'll say it. And I understand that we are running low on time, but this is an incredibly difficult competition for me specifically. I don't know about y'all. I love that so much more than I recall. Oh, and he left.

[2:04:15] Abby: Wait, do you want to start the discourse while we're waiting for Jordan to return?

[2:04:18] Abby: I'll start the discourse. First off, and this has nothing to really do with the song, I do think that the scene between Rachel and Kurt is so, so cute. It's so real. It's like when you start college or anything new, and then you're away from your family and your friends, you're just like, I fucking hate it here. So like, I can imagine the relief she had when Kurt fucking popped up out of nowhere. It's so cute. I love them. But I think something that people would love to talk about is like, how did they afford that apartment? People aren't asking how the fuck did she cancel her dorm payments? Those dorms are fucking expensive. We saw one scene in that dorm room. It doesn't matter. She repaid for it.

She repaid for it. Her parents really said, yeah, let's fucking cancel the thousands of dollars we put into your dorming. And yeah, you can get an expensive apartment with Kurt. I was thinking about that. It's so hard to cancel dorms, whatever. Also, do you guys think Will tells them, guys, we have rehearsal today. We're black. How does that work? They're in rehearsal. Why can't they just wear their regular? Okay, here's my headcanon. Abi, I know you love a headcanon. This is my headcanon for this. Okay. So they are obviously singing Chasing Pavements right now, but they are getting ready to sing, I don't even, for whatever reason, I've convinced myself that this is canon. Obviously, all they sing at season four sectionals is Gangnam Style.

But I think the other song on the set list was Skyfall by Adele. Adele also Chasing Pavements. And I think that Marley and Blaine sing lead. And they finally do get to sing a duet at regionals. But I think that this is them rehearsing Skyfall. Okay. Okay. That's what I'm thinking. Okay. You know what? Oh, and also, with season four sectionals, to add to my point, we know that season four sectionals, the theme is foreigner and Adele, famously, not from Northern America. Yes. Foreign to the United States. Foreign. Yeah.

[2:06:22] Abby: He's back. Jordan, we were just talking about Chasing Pavements. You saw the entire performance. What do you think?

[2:06:28] Jordan: Sure did. Okay. The vocal, she's stunned. Like, that is just a gorgeous, gorgeous girl vocal. Like, she is serving the house down. I think following in this same episode, obviously, New York State of Mind is our introduction to Marley vocally. Yeah. This doesn't do, while it is a great vocal, I just don't feel like it, like, ends the episode on like a moment of like, yes, the Glee Club is in great hands, in my opinion.

[2:07:06] Abby: I have a counter argument. Hit me. Obviously, they're paying homage to Don't Stop Believing. They're wearing one unified colour and multiple people are coming into, or is it just Jake that's coming into the auditorium to, like, watch it, a la his brother, and Don't Stop Believing. And I thought that it was, like, really interesting that it's, like, such detachment from Don't Stop Believing, that it's, like, such genre switching, that it just, like, it's like, oh, we're looking, like, at a different Glee Club. It would be so weird if they were, like, if they were to do, like, a Journey song right here, it would just be like, oh, so we're just gonna watch the last three seasons just again with what, you know?

[2:07:49] Jordan: Right. That's what I'm, I like Chasing Pavements as a song for this. I think Chasing Pavements is setting up Marley to just be Sad Girl season four. She, all she does is just be sad and boring, like, that's her whole thing. I think, like, if they had ended it with, like, a fun, upbeat number that Marley slayed, doesn't have to be Journey, doesn't have to be Don't Stop Believing, but, like, I just think, like, we could have been set up to believe that Marley, like, had what it took to be the new Rachel, and this, like, this just didn't hit for me. But it is a beautiful vocal.

[2:08:30] Abby: Yeah, I think that, like, the Adele bias is, like, definitely shining through for me right now. That, obviously, Adele, that's my number one girl. So, and I, it's so, it's just, like, it's, it means so much to me that they cover Chasing Pavements. 19, favorite album of all time. Oh, wow. It's just, like, this is such a very, very difficult competition for me. Oh, also, I wanted to bring up a legal note I saw on the account history of Glee today, that they filmed that Hummelberry, Washington Square Park scene this very day in 2012. So, and I was like, oh, that song's still left in the glacket. I wonder if it's gonna get pulled. And sure enough, it did. Happy anniversary. And then what else did I want to say?

Oh, and then also, the Rachel, Rachel went to the Finn and Jessie's school for talking during a song. She did. A little callback to our discourse around Dinosaur. But yeah, she slayed. I think that the conversation within Chasing Pavements elevates it and doesn't bring it down.

[2:09:49] Jordan: I agree. I'd agree. I'd agree. I like the conversation. I like it. My roommate's sleeping with the entire school. It's perfect. I can't sleep. I hate everybody. My dance teacher's a monster. Yeah. Okay. Do we have to lock in and talk about voting now? I know which way I'm voting, personally.

[2:10:03] Abby: Me as well. I know where I'm going. Okay, Jordan, do you want to do the honors?

[2:10:14] Jordan: Okay. My first ever glacket vote. Are you ready? Despite her fugly dress, it's Ain't No Way. It's gotta be Ain't No Way. Ain't No Way, I'm voting for anything else.

[2:10:29] Abby: I'm doing Despite Her Fugly Hat. And I can't even say that. I think the hat's endearing. Chasing Pavements.

[2:10:36] Andrew: No, I can't turn my back on Adele. There's something about it. I love Ain't No Way, obviously, but I think I know how this movie ends. I think I've seen this film before.

[2:10:51] Jordan: You didn't like the ending, because I will have to be throwing my vote towards Ain't No Way. I just knew it was a candidate. Now that's a gluttony.

[2:11:00] Andrew: There we go. Andrew McGuire. I'm hearing this is the only Marley song left, which I don't know how. What were you guys doing? How'd that happen? Well, what other, like Wrecking Ball, First Noel. What are we actually considering? I think New York State of Mind is like her.

[2:11:19] Jordan: That's a duet. Yeah, I know. But that's what's gonna be the candidate for this.

[2:11:24] Andrew: I was like, because in my head, it's not a duet, but it is a duet.

[2:11:29] Jordan: Yeah. That song just moves me more. I'm sure if I had an attachment to, you know, maybe if I'd seen it done live, Chasing Pain, it's live, 2013, Glee tour, maybe I would have had something more for it. But it's...

[2:11:44] Abby: Marley walking around the stage. What about over here? What about over here?

[2:11:53] Jordan: Was this competition all that you ever wanted and more?

[2:11:56] Abby: Well, there was no musical theater, but it was still amazing to be part of the Glackett and to hang out with you all for a little bit. So thank you for having me.

[2:12:06] Jordan: Oh, thank you. And have a great rest of your day. Our day is over and your day is just beginning.

[2:12:10] Abby: Just beginning, baby. Go tackle the world. I hope you have the best day ever. We'll have to have you back, Jordan. Thank you so much.

[2:12:17] Jordan: Thank you. Thank you. I'd love to be back. Thank you, everyone. Bye, Jordan. Bye.

[2:12:21] Abby: Bye. Okay, in recap for this episode, um, Dinosaur, Dinosnore, you're extinct.

[2:12:30] Jordan: Um...

[2:12:31] Abby: You're fossilized.

[2:12:32] Jordan: You're fossilized. There we go. Um, Halo walking on sunshine. You're walking, you're walking all, you're, you're walking all the way...

[2:12:41] Abby: To find it.

[2:12:41] Jordan: To round four. Find it. Let it come to you.

[2:12:48] Abby: Um, oh, these ones just, yeah, they present themselves. There's Ain't No Way. That Ain't No Way is not getting to round four. Um, and then, uh, Chasing Pavements. You're going to chase those pavements all the way down to hell.

[2:13:03] Jordan: Right.

[2:13:04] Abby: Right.

[2:13:04] Jordan: Well, Purgatory, a little bit in the middle.

[2:13:08] Abby: You think so?

[2:13:09] Jordan: Not hell. You don't deserve to go to hell. It's a good song.

[2:13:12] Abby: Yeah. But that's where all the songs go. They all go to hell.

[2:13:18] Jordan: Yeah, but this one, I feel like this one really, like, I feel like, for your sake, like, just so you can sleep tonight, like, it felt like this one really took it out of you. I, let's talk about it a little bit. How does this feel?

[2:13:30] Abby: Uh, is there more to say? Two and a half hour episode. What else is there to say? Um, I, Chasing Pavements, I just love it so much. And I really will miss her a lot. And I do feel bad that, um, we are completely done. In case I'm, like, mistaken, that had to have been the last Marlowe low. Um, that's what there's, that's, that's what the streets are saying. And, uh, that's what the streets are saying.

[2:13:54] Jordan: And so I'll miss her. I think that, I think we, maybe it's possible she could come back.

[2:13:59] Abby: She could come back. If you're in line for Chasing Pavements.

[2:14:03] Jordan: Stay on the pavement. Stay there.

[2:14:05] Abby: Pavement. Yeah.

[2:14:06] Jordan: Chase those pavements all the way to the polls.

[2:14:09] Abby: All the way to the voting booth.

[2:14:11] Jordan: It's not over for her. Exactly.

[2:14:13] Abby: I don't, I don't think that she has the legs. I don't think that she has the legs to come back. I'm being honest.

[2:14:18] Jordan: She could. You don't know.

[2:14:20] Abby: I don't know. Um, okay. So, Abby, thank you so much. This has been so much fun. Every time that you join, it's always a pleasure. Thank you, genuinely. I always appreciate your intake on the Glocket. Um, what, uh, would you like the Gleeks to do? Is there anything that they would, you would like them to do with the social Gleedias?

[2:14:43] Abby: Um, you can follow me, I guess. Do what you want. You should. Santana's Breadsticks on Instagram. San's Breadsticks on Twitter. Take care of yourself. Drink water. Eight cups a day. Make sure that you're really taking care of your mental health. Go on walks. Touch grass. Um, and yeah, Andy, this was a great time. I just always, you know, I was sitting here at like 445 and I was thinking to myself, wow, I'm really looking forward to meeting with my good pal, Andy McGuire. Such a gentle soul.

[2:15:16] Jordan: The Andy and Abby show.

[2:15:18] Abby: The Andy and Abby show. I love it. I like it. I love it a lot. I love it. I feel like, did we get a good title? I'll listen back and I'll get some title options. Nothing is really standing out, though, right now.

[2:15:31] Jordan: Not right now. What did we really talk about?

[2:15:37] Abby: Can you give me What It Is, Ho? What's up? Please, something inspired.

[2:15:43] Jordan: That was really a highlight for me.

[2:15:46] Abby: What It Is, Ho, of course, that's going to be in the carousel.

[2:15:50] Jordan: I like Quat. Quat, there's something there.

[2:15:52] Abby: Quat. Quat, Rutherbrae.

[2:15:56] Jordan: Quat, Rutherbrae, I really do like. I think that's, put your stamp on it. We'll see.

[2:16:03] Abby: We'll let you think of it, but I like that one.

[2:16:06] Jordan: Allison in the comments is saying, why does she look so bad as potential title of app?

[2:16:13] Abby: That's interesting.

[2:16:16] Jordan: Gowns, beautiful gowns.

[2:16:21] Abby: Okay, well, this is going to be a behemoth to edit. I didn't think it'd be this long. I don't know.

[2:16:25] Jordan: I literally told Elias, I was like, I think that this will be a short one.

[2:16:33] Abby: Also, I wanted to share that in the last episode, I made a joke about a very popular show called Hunting Wives, and I was like, what the fuck is Hunting Wives? What even is that? Started watching Hunting Wives. I'm finishing Hunting Wives tonight, and I really like it. So go watch Hunting Wives. It's not bad.

[2:16:51] Jordan: I started it, and I've been texting Em in the chat. I DM her on Twitter, because she's the one who made me want to watch it, because she made a YouTube video. Go follow her on YouTube.

[2:17:04] Abby: Anyways, so I was like, I need to get into this. And I was like, this is actually insane. But I want to, it's like the perfect level. I feel like if you watch Glee, it prepares you for anything. And this is like really, it's like really, it's like very soapy. It's like, it's like very like high drama. I, yeah, I like it. I think I like it from what I've, what I've, what I've seen.

[2:17:24] Jordan: It really is fun.

[2:17:25] Abby: What I've seen? I like what I see. It's really waking up a lot of like closeted lesbians who are married in like 40 years into their relationship. So that's great.

[2:17:36] Jordan: Yeah, there's a lot of nudity. So if you have any children, or if you're like considering watching it with your parents, do not do that.

[2:17:40] Abby: Anyway, there will be another episode next week. And it's going to be really iconic, but you'll have to wait a full week to listen to it. But it's going to be worth the wait, because it's going to be, say it with me, great.

[2:17:53] Jordan: Great.

[2:17:54] Abby: Okay. Until next time.

[2:17:58] Jordan: Okay, bye.

[2:18:00] Abby: It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.
