[0:00] Andrew: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee. There's no remote reason to it, so don't get mad at me. The Gleek of the Week who's the head of the show. Glacket by Glacket. We'll rank everyone. Closer to spot number one. Gleek of the Week. Gleek click click of the week. It's click. Gleek of the Week. Wow. I feel like I'm starting every episode with wow wow wow wow wow. But you know what? It is a really wow wow wow episode. Because you know what? Every now and then you meet, um, you meet Gleeks. You get connected by doing a Glee podcast and you meet them IRL and guess what? Normal vibes. They're normal and they're actually really fun, and I actually would really recommend it.
I've yet to meet a Gleek, um, through this podcast that I am not absolutely head over heels. And, um, you know what? The two Gleeks this week are no exception. Um, we have famously they joined me for, um, Dianna Agron at Cafe Carlyle in that famous picture. Um, Claudia and Kassie. Wow, wow, wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. Oh my wow, wow, wow. Oh my gosh. Okay, wait. So, um, the Dianna Agron evening of it all.
[1:44] Claudia: Oh yeah. You know what? I recapped it in, um, a prior episode, but I feel as though, particularly with you, Claudia. Um, I left out some, some, some, some information that would you like to reveal it this time?
[2:01] Claudia: Uh yeah, I can I can be brave and reveal it. I definitely had my first grievance of this podcast is how you erased this story. Um, I didn't want to be the one to tell it.
[2:10] Andrew: I do see your story to tell.
[2:13] Claudia: It is my story to tell. I appreciate it, I guess. I don't know where do I just I don't know where to start. Where did even the order?
[2:20] Claudia: Sometime after we saw, yeah, you go.
[2:23] Andrew: So like, okay, I, I un, unless you have anything to add to just like watching her perform. I feel as though maybe we can we can we can start where we're in the, um, what was that area called? The bar in the Carlisle hotel, which isn't the bar that she performed at.
[2:47] Claudia: Right, right. And also not the bar that the Glee Twitter said she would be at, right?
[2:52] Andrew: I, you know, you know what? You got it twisted or something. It was, it was on me, and I'm glad that you're the first to say it that I fucked up.
[2:59] Claudia: Oh, you know what? I think I didn't past Gleek of the Week Alexa then she went the night after us and got a beautiful glamorous full body shot with Dianna.
[3:17] Andrew: But listen, I wouldn't trade our two admittedly pretty good selfies for anything. Mostly because Dianna took them. We were all in the moment. It was, it was all, I mean, everybody heard the story, or they should have if you listen, but, um, but yeah, I, we did, and we famously got two. I mean, there's the same picture or one or after the other. But let it be known. Dianna did click twice. There are differences. She got different, like it's a slight light change. There's a little look. It's, there's a difference. Ooh, is this glimmer in her eye? Is this the first, um, addition to this week's carousel is like a spot the difference of the two pictures? So maybe I should have, I don't know. Um wait, but back to you, Claudia.
[4:03] Andrew: Okay, so we're in, we're in the room, we're, we're seated right near Scar Joe and Scar Jost.
[4:11] Claudia: Um yeah.
[4:14] Claudia: Well, I'd say we were all like two to five thirty dollar cocktails in. Oh, it was getting crazy. It was getting crazy. Andrew kept apologizing for being zooted, and I was really just affirming that you were okay. Um, but that was really good for me. It was a really scary night for me. It was really good.
[4:33] Claudia: Yeah, there was a lot of scary moments. But who else was scared? Um basically we're sitting there, and I guess at some point after Scar Joe, Scar Jost moved from a table that I was like staring directly at them. They moved behind us. The next guest that sat down was of course Miss Dianna Agron.
[4:54] Claudia: And we were all just sitting there kind of like freaking out. I think I might have hit you. Like I think I might have hit you a couple times, being like, it's, it's happening. She's here. There was motion.
[5:02] Andrew: Um there was such a motion. Um I think that and I th maybe I, uh we, I talked about this when I recapped it, but like the second that we did see her, I made the very executive decision that I regret because they were $30 cocktails that I was like, well, let's just order another round because the blondie's here.
[5:20] Claudia: It was easier for the plot of it all, the thirty dollar cocktails were needed.
[5:25] Andrew: It was, yeah, for sure. Um, it was very sobering moment for me though when she walked in that room. I think we all could have got sprites though.
[5:32] Claudia: We could have. We could have made it happen. We could have done a $20 mocktail. Would we have approached her if we didn't get this question and leads me into this, which is that we were all freaking out, we didn't know what to do.
[5:46] Claudia: And I, I turned to the group and I said, I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go up there. Within like a minute of her seated down next to her wife Margo.
[5:56] Andrew: Call me Margot.
[5:57] Claudia: I'll call you home.
[6:02] Claudia: Exactly. And I could be wrong, but I don't think there was much thought behind like after I'm gonna do it and you getting up to do it.
[6:09] Andrew: Yeah.
[6:09] Claudia: You just did it, which was really, really bold.
[6:11] Claudia: I had to do it, um, for better or for worse. I got up there and I don't know. I think I was like asking the asking the team, asking the class what I should say, but then I just went.
[6:21] Claudia: I just went over there and I like stood at the table in front of Dianna and her wife.
[6:27] Andrew: Call me Margot.
[6:29] Claudia: Um I picked somehow the perfect time when like they were being presented with their bill.
[6:38] Andrew: And so I'm standing like the bill.
[6:43] Claudia: But how no, they just sat down. So how were they already getting presented with the bill?
[6:47] Andrew: Maybe they had it just sat down. Because when I went up to them, they had their heads and bodies turned towards like a staff member.
[6:59] Claudia: In hindsight, it could have been a menu.
[7:01] Andrew: It could have been a menu.
[7:02] Claudia: Oh thinking back. I guess it could have been the menu. We were zoomed in. I can't stress this enough. I can't stress this enough. Two to five thirty dollar cocktails.
[7:12] Andrew: Towards minimum.
[7:15] Claudia: Yeah, I like I think we're all in different pages. I mean, Kassie was like throwing back espresso martinis. I kept missing liquor, mixing liquors. It was a mistake.
[7:23] Andrew: Missing liquor, you were throwing it back and just missing your mouth.
[7:27] Claudia: I think I did encourage a couple espresso martinis because the menu cocktails were just.
[7:32] Andrew: I think you described it in because I did re-listen to the story to make sure there was nothing that I had to add. But the cocktails we had on the menu were not for me.
[7:40] Claudia: And they were little and they were weird. So then after I ordered the first one, we asked for espresso martinis, and it just kept going from there.
[7:47] Andrew: It went, it went really well. I feel like we're really putting off what actually happens when Claudia walks up to Blondie.
[7:54] Claudia: It's so anticlimactic. All it is is that I walk up to Blondie, her body is turned away from me, and I like don't know what to do. I get up there and I'm like, uh and then I kind of have to like get her attention, and she like turns her body towards me, and I just start like spouting nonsense.
[8:12] Claudia: Like, I just wanted to say it was a really good show. Thank you so much. I, I love your work. And she literally just like eyes glazed over, like nodding, like, yeah, okay, thanks.
[8:26] Andrew: Uh-huh.
[8:26] Claudia: Um, yeah, the whole story is she just hated my guts. That's all there is to say is that she hates my guts.
[8:33] Andrew: You got a fantastic attitude, and still to this day, the outlook that you have on it is so commendable.
[8:41] Claudia: Thank you. Because like in the least, like, I don't like I don't want it to come off as like wow, how embarrassing. But it wasn't not embarrassing, it but I don't regret it.
[8:55] Andrew: Because I think I don't know if this helps you in any way. I think it would have ruined me. I think it would have been. I don't think really had a terrible.
[9:03] Claudia: That makes me feel kind of bad.
[9:05] Andrew: But at least I'm not sure.
[9:05] Claudia: No, no, no, but like no no no. What I'm what I'm I want to express to you is that I'm jealous of your outlook and your personality and your, um, your your reaction to the situation.
[9:18] Andrew: Is that good?
[9:19] Claudia: Yeah, that's good.
[9:20] Claudia: And I don't know if this is now the time to say that yeah, I was very strong, and I was even a warrior.
[9:26] Andrew: Oh my god, audio medium.
[9:28] Claudia: Wow.
[9:29] Claudia: This was a surprise. Should I yeah, should I do the whole reveal?
[9:32] Andrew: Audio medium.
[9:33] Claudia: I'm wearing an excellent shirt.
[9:35] Claudia: Yes. And it's a three, uh, row situation. First row, we have two pictures of Miss Quinn Fabray, and it says, be a warrior like Quinn. And then we move up and we see be brave like Santana.
[9:47] Andrew: Uh-huh.
[9:48] Claudia: Sorry, it's not really I know her.
[9:50] Andrew: No, I know her.
[9:51] Claudia: And then be, uh, optimistic like Brittany.
[9:55] Andrew: Oh my god. Where is this from?
[9:57] Claudia: I was bouncing on my knees just now.
[9:59] Claudia: Well, it's a little from a little, uh, indie small business called Red Bubble.
[10:04] Andrew: Um they don't actively sell that at like J. Crew.
[10:07] Claudia: No, I think actually I saw it at Gap of one once upon a time that's been discontinued, unfortunately.
[10:14] Andrew: Vintage selection.
[10:15] Claudia: Gucci to me.
[10:15] Andrew: Um, and I feel like it's like it's time that we also reveal what Kassie is.
[10:20] Claudia: Oh my god, yeah.
[10:20] Kassie: Oh yeah, yes.
[10:22] Kassie: Audio medium, I'm in a Cheerios half uniform.
[10:25] Andrew: I am not wearing this.
[10:26] Kassie: Just the really you're really channeling, you're both channeling Dianna, which is it's so beautiful.
[10:33] Claudia: Didn't even plan it.
[10:35] Kassie: Didn't even plan it.
[10:35] Kassie: I feel like another important part of the story though is that Kassie and I had never met and we went on a two-hour-long dinner date.
[10:43] Kassie: Yep, blind date, blind date to see Blondie the first time we ever met.
[10:48] Claudia: And it was not awkward at all somehow.
[10:50] Kassie: We had a lot.
[10:51] Kassie: We had a lot to say.
[10:52] Kassie: It was honestly.
[10:53] Kassie: I was not worried because if she's a friend of the pod, then she's a friend of me.
[10:58] Claudia: So it wasn't a huge concern.
[11:00] Kassie: Especially because she knew you, Andrew, and I had just listened to the live.
[11:04] Claudia: I think it was only like two weeks before the tickets were an issue.
[11:08] Kassie: With Claudia.
[11:09] Claudia: Yes, yeah.
[11:09] Kassie: So it was really easy and it was fun.
[11:12] Claudia: I think the vibe was good too because we were both excited.
[11:14] Kassie: So there was a lot of things to talk about being excited about.
[11:17] Claudia: We were all absolutely, we're also seated next to a lovely gay duo.
[11:22] Kassie: I don't know if they were a couple, but they were a duo and they were gay because they talked about being gay.
[11:27] Claudia: But they were cool and they had seen Dianna before, so they gave us some like pointers.
[11:31] Kassie: And funny enough, one of them.
[11:35] Kassie: Literally. Truthfully, I can't remember a lot of what was said because I was just so excited in the moment.
[11:40] Claudia: Like, and we were just like, yeah, Dianna.
[11:42] Kassie: Because they had met her before, so they said she was nice if you approach her.
[11:45] Claudia: So I think that gave us the confidence later.
[11:48] Kassie: Joe's on me.
[11:49] Kassie: She was not.
[11:50] Claudia: You caught her at a bad moment, and I will die on that hill.
[11:53] Kassie: Uh also, I don't, I didn't, I don't think I revealed this when I recapped it.
[11:59] Kassie: And I don't think I even told you both about it. It's not even like a big thing.
[12:02] Claudia: Oh, but like when we were Elias and I, when we were sat down, because we were across the room from y'all, when we were sat down, I noticed that there was a TikToker.
[12:11] Kassie: I'm not gonna reveal who it was, but it was like a niche Glee um TikToker.
[12:18] Claudia: Like I'm sure you maybe you've seen their work before.
[12:21] Kassie: Not gonna reveal who it is.
[12:22] Claudia: I saw them and I was like, oh my god, you're crazy.
[12:26] Kassie: Blank on TikTok.
[12:27] Claudia: And they were just like, oh, hello?
[12:29] Kassie: Like they were like, I was like, okay, you're not gonna be like I wanted to talk to you because I kind of wanted to be like nice and like be like, hey.
[12:37] Claudia: Yeah, you know, but recognize her art.
[12:39] Kassie: Recognize the art.
[12:40] Claudia: Yeah.
[12:40] Kassie: Wow.
[12:40] Claudia: It's like oh that was weird.
[12:43] Kassie: They should have responded, Oh my god, your Gleek of the Week hosting dollar bill.
[12:51] Claudia: Yeah, no, that's not why I brought it up.
[12:53] Kassie: That's not why I brought it up.
[12:54] Claudia: I'm just like, I don't know. I just wanted them to be a little bit nicer to me.
[12:57] Kassie: It was like we had parallel experiences.
[13:00] Claudia: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[13:00] Claudia: And Kassie.
[13:01] Kassie: Oh, yeah.
[13:02] Kassie: At least I did get my selfie with my star.
[13:04] Claudia: You did not even get a TikTok selfie, did you?
[13:06] Kassie: I did not.
[13:07] Kassie: It was so sad with the unnamed TikToker.
[13:10] Claudia: And I know that people are gonna be listening and they're gonna be like, reveal who it is, reveal who it is.
[13:14] Kassie: You will I will never I will go to the grave with this information because I don't want to put them on blast like that.
[13:19] Claudia: And you can't get it out of either of us because we clearly didn't idea.
[13:23] Kassie: I'll I'll tell you both after the recording.
[13:25] Claudia: But that's only to you.
[13:26] Kassie: We won't reveal anybody at all.
[13:27] Claudia: I probably don't know who they are to be honest.
[13:29] Kassie: I'm not super plugged into TikTok these days.
[13:35] Claudia: I was like, oh my god, you did that TikTok, and they were like, Yeah.
[13:38] Kassie: And I'm like, okay, I hate this.
[13:40] Claudia: Yeah, shut up.
[13:41] Kassie: You're in a Dianna show.
[13:43] Claudia: I will definitely look them up and I will definitely keep this secret with such joy.
[13:47] Kassie: Yeah, me too.
[13:48] Kassie: But wait, Kassie, uh is there anything that we're missing in the, in the the this entire chronicle of seeing Dianna?
[13:58] Kassie: Um, one of the people that was next to us did run into Dianna about to come out because she ran to the bathroom right before the show started.
[14:05] Kassie: So we knew when she was really coming because she's like, I ran into her in in the hallway.
[14:09] Claudia: So she's coming.
[14:11] Kassie: It's like it's like a, um, uh, Devil Wears Prada.
[14:15] Claudia: On my way.
[14:16] Kassie: When she did her like on my way.
[14:19] Kassie: When she did her cheeky little like beginning thing, one thing that we thought was funny in our corner, she had just said, like, you could take a little picture, only post it if it's good or whatever she said, just no flash.
[14:29] Andrew: As soon as she comes out, one of the people sitting near us flashed their phone instantly and instantly turned it off.
[14:37] Claudia: But Diana just looked our way and I put my phone down so quick, like I don't want them to think that was I was the flash because we weren't. I was the flash, I was Grant.
[14:45] Kassie: Grant Gustave.
[14:46] Claudia: Right, right.
[14:48] Kassie: Oh my god. No, I made I remember I will never forget this is not related to this story at all, but it lives like it lives at the front of my mind that I was invited to a friend of mine that I was like very loose friends with, a junior prom when I was a junior in high school, and I remember being there not knowing hardly knowing the girl that I was with, and even more so not knowing her friends, and I tried taking a picture of the table just as like a little like hey, I met this Bram, and no one was talking to me, and the flash went off, and then everybody looked at me like the meme of like everyone's looking at you at a party, and I wanted I did leave.
[15:31] Claudia: I left.
[15:31] Kassie: I was like, I can't be here anymore.
[15:33] Andrew: I think I would have done the same thing, but it's really not that bad, but I would have done the same thing.
[15:37] Claudia: Uh yeah, it's it was embarrassing.
[15:40] Kassie: Uh there are worse things to happen at a junior prom, I would say.
[15:44] Andrew: Yeah, thank you.
[15:46] Kassie: You're welcome. I I yeah, is that better comfort?
[15:50] Claudia: I would have killed myself if Diana said that to me.
[15:55] Andrew: Um yeah, I feel like Claudia and I have been really vulnerable about things that we're really embarrassed about. Um Kassie, do you have anything that you're really embarrassed about that you want to share?
[16:04] Kassie: Oh my gosh. I mean, yeah, there's a ton of things, but like to put me like on the spot, um I'm sure something will come up and I will be very vulnerable about it when it does.
[16:15] Claudia: Like I I'm holding you to it.
[16:17] Kassie: If a sad song comes on here, I will cry, and I'll audio medium. I'm crying right now, just so that everybody's good.
[16:24] Andrew: Um I'm feeling it tonight. Speaking of the Glacket, um, I meant to do some little like just Glee search beforehand, and I feel like I really dropped the ball because I didn't do it.
[16:35] Kassie: But please enlighten me.
[16:36] Andrew: Um Kassie, you were on I feel like maybe like the second episode of round two, or was it the fourth?
[16:44] Kassie: Or something like it was one of like the very first live streams that we had before I hiatus.
[16:49] Claudia: Yeah, I think it was the first live stream, but the second episode.
[16:53] Kassie: It was the Familia.
[16:55] Claudia: I mean Famiglia.
[16:59] Andrew: Wait, what was your competition?
[17:01] Kassie: Um, I had Christmas rapping versus Live While We're Young.
[17:04] Claudia: Oh my god.
[17:06] Kassie: And I feel like you voted against Christmas rapping.
[17:09] Claudia: I did because I was very I'm I did. I'm sorry. Listen, this is the thing. I you could go back, you could listen. I said that I hate Christmas.
[17:17] Kassie: Audio medium, Claudia's showing her Britney be optimistic like Brittany.
[17:21] Claudia: You could you pull up the receipts. I said I don't like Christmas music, but I did enjoy the song. Watching it was fun. But I did ultimately give the pity vote to Live While We're Young because I knew Christmas rapping was going through.
[17:32] Kassie: Right, right, right.
[17:33] Claudia: But I won't be giving any pity votes.
[17:36] Andrew: Okay. Did that pick up on Zoom?
[17:38] Kassie: No.
[17:39] Claudia: All I hear was that's exactly what I was doing.
[17:42] Kassie: I was doing that from um Lebau or Young.
[17:45] Claudia: When they do that.
[17:46] Kassie: No, I when you do kachiga, I feel like that's um that's cars.
[17:50] Claudia: That's chick eggs.
[17:52] Kassie: Yeah, well.
[17:54] Andrew: Um another valued addition to this week's hair show.
[17:59] Claudia: Um Kassie, what your competition?
[17:59] Kassie: Oh, I remember this one.
[18:05] Claudia: Oh yeah.
[18:07] Kassie: I'll remember that one.
[18:09] Claudia: Reveal to the class what it was.
[18:11] Kassie: Um it was I'll remember versus Sway, and I killed Sway.
[18:16] Claudia: Yeah.
[18:17] Kassie: Unfortunately.
[18:21] Claudia: Yeah.
[18:23] Kassie: You're like, please have me back to have a better competition than that.
[18:26] Claudia: Yeah, basically, pretty much.
[18:28] Kassie: I yeah.
[18:28] Claudia: Maybe one day that will happen.
[18:30] Kassie: Maybe I'll be back.
[18:31] Claudia: I don't know.
[18:31] Kassie: Maybe I guess maybe vote again.
[18:33] Claudia: I don't know.
[18:34] Kassie: Could be maybe even tonight.
[18:36] Claudia: Maybe it's been in my calendar for weeks.
[18:38] Kassie: Maybe on May 20th at 8 p.m. Eastern.
[18:41] Claudia: Maybe.
[18:42] Kassie: Maybe.
[18:44] Andrew: Um, but okay, so now here we are at the time at the point in the episode where I ask for uh Glacket grievances.
[18:52] Kassie: Um I understand, Cassie, that you have a very long list.
[18:57] Kassie: Oh yes of I do have some grievances.
[19:00] Kassie: So of most recently there was some slander on the song Pretending. I do like that song. Um, so I was just a little that stung just a bit, because I have been listening to that recently.
[19:13] Kassie: Um but one of the biggest issues I've had with the Glacket so far is Loser Like Me, the original version not going through.
[19:21] Andrew: Um yeah, I three years ago.
[19:23] Kassie: I understand this is this is my time.
[19:27] Andrew: Okay, I'm so sorry.
[19:29] Kassie: I have never had the opportunity. It was a quick quick last time. Now I can tell you this has haunted me because I have my top ten and almost I think all of them without looking at the full list are on it except for loser like me.
[19:45] Andrew: And wait, is uh your top ten, your top ten songs of Glee?
[19:49] Kassie: Yes.
[19:50] Andrew: Yes.
[19:50] Kassie: And uh of those top ten nine are still in the Glacket except for loser like me.
[19:57] Andrew: I believe so.
[19:58] Kassie: Without again, without looking at it, really good odds.
[20:01] Andrew: That is pretty good.
[20:02] Kassie: I think I have the same, I think I have the same odds.
[20:04] Andrew: It is, but the loser like me of it all makes me mad because it lost to be okay and I'm be okay is through is being more than okay, yeah.
[20:13] Kassie: Exactly.
[20:13] Andrew: So I just I had to air that first because I think that's the most egregious offense that's recency as well.
[20:19] Kassie: The uh the the be okay of it all, yeah.
[20:21] Claudia: Uh-huh.
[20:21] Kassie: Yeah, it really stirred up um the anger again.
[20:25] Andrew: I had calmed down, but it it restered it up.
[20:29] Claudia: Do you like be okay, Cassie?
[20:31] Kassie: Oh, sorry.
[20:32] Claudia: No, it's okay.
[20:32] Kassie: I just heard wait, I need to make sure the Tommy's okay. Just heard something crash.
[20:38] Andrew: Oh no, audio medium.
[20:40] Kassie: Andrew just looked away, really like concerned, and then I started to talk and like talk over him.
[20:46] Claudia: I heard the thuds, so I think they'll also hear the thud.
[20:50] Kassie: I think so too.
[20:51] Claudia: I don't think that was even her.
[20:53] Kassie: I think that was someone in the hallway.
[20:54] Claudia: I think someone's in your apartment.
[20:56] Kassie: I think I'm being robbed, but it's okay.
[20:59] Andrew: You were saying Cassie.
[21:01] Kassie: It was quite loud.
[21:02] Andrew: I was concerned for you.
[21:03] Kassie: Wait, you were as well?
[21:04] Andrew: I heard I heard a thud.
[21:09] Kassie: Okay.
[21:11] Andrew: No, I think that whatever happened out there is fine.
[21:14] Kassie: It's probably fine.
[21:14] Andrew: It's probably fine.
[21:16] Kassie: I'm not getting involved.
[21:18] Andrew: Sometimes it's better not to.
[21:20] Kassie: Um don't they know it's May 20th at Don't they know I told my roommate to sh be quiet from eight to indefinite.
[21:32] Andrew: And your roommate came over here and fell in my stare.
[21:37] Kassie: She threw toffee onto the couch.
[21:41] Andrew: Made such a loud thud.
[21:43] Kassie: I'm so sorry, Cassie. Go please continue to this is giving me time to pick my most angry battles.
[21:49] Kassie: Okay. One thing I'll say is don't stop believing season four.
[21:54] Kassie: This is another one that I think is gonna get some eyebrow raises.
[21:56] Kassie: I like that song.
[21:57] Kassie: I think it's fun.
[21:58] Kassie: I think it's a good Rolo.
[22:00] Andrew: People could disagree.
[22:01] Kassie: Um, and I don't like that it lost to Arthur Seam, which I know also recently lost.
[22:06] Andrew: So it's just it doubly lost.
[22:09] Kassie: All my old angers that I had relaxed on.
[22:11] Andrew: Yeah.
[22:15] Kassie: That's so mean.
[22:16] Claudia: I'm so sorry.
[22:17] Kassie: It's it's not wrong.
[22:19] Claudia: I like loser like me too, Cassie. I'll say it.
[22:21] Kassie: I had it on my iTunes and pretending.
[22:23] Claudia: I was gonna echo that.
[22:25] Kassie: I I would love to pretend.
[22:27] Claudia: The pretenders are really coming out lately.
[22:29] Kassie: It's crazy.
[22:30] Andrew: I don't know if I I would say I'm a pretender like now, but my prime time of like having iTunes, I don't know, having all the downloads.
[22:39] Kassie: I definitely had pretending and rotation.
[22:41] Claudia: You either get it or you don't.
[22:42] Kassie: And I just don't get it.
[22:43] Claudia: Maybe I will ten years from now.
[22:46] Kassie: Yeah, 10 years ago.
[22:47] Claudia: I got it.
[22:47] Kassie: Now less so.
[22:50] Claudia: I I think there's not a lot of, I don't think there's enough appreciation for some of the season six songs.
[22:56] Kassie: Um, and it I'm watching re-watching, I just finished the series finale last night.
[23:02] Claudia: It took me like four months to get through season six.
[23:05] Kassie: So I'm not like a season six fan.
[23:07] Claudia: But like Uptown Funk was good.
[23:10] Kassie: I think it was good.
[23:11] Claudia: And it lost to Fully Snobby Dodd's Nobby Dodd.
[23:13] Kassie: Oh yeah, yeah.
[23:14] Claudia: As a Christmas not big fan person, that didn't come up right, but that really hurt.
[23:20] Kassie: That stung.
[23:21] Andrew: I mean that was you know, just one of those days where it was Allison and Charlie Moon from the Glee Project season two, and they were just like uh we like those days.
[23:36] Kassie: We just all have those days, right?
[23:38] Claudia: And we all watched Felice Navidad and Uptown Funk next to each other, and it doesn't go the way that you would think.
[23:45] Kassie: You know, I don't I also recently watched Uptown Funk, so I get it, but I was texting during it, so I was just listening.
[23:52] Claudia: So there's some really good vocals in that.
[23:56] Kassie: Exactly.
[23:56] Claudia: I don't I don't remember it at all.
[23:59] Kassie: I don't know the context.
[24:00] Claudia: I don't know, I don't know a thing.
[24:02] Andrew: If you had to guess, Claudia, yeah, what the context of Uptown Funk Glee Cast version by Gleecast is, what would you say?
[24:10] Claudia: Like my brain is giving me the visual of for some reason I remember this, Roderick and Mercedes doing all about that bass.
[24:18] Kassie: That's what I'm seeing, like the like whatever the karaoke stage.
[24:22] Andrew: I don't know, or they're like you would be correct to say that Roderick is on the track.
[24:28] Claudia: I I remember his voice being on it.
[24:30] Kassie: I rewatched season six like a year ago, and I don't think I'd ever seen it all the way through, honestly, until then.
[24:36] Claudia: But yeah, I don't remember.
[24:37] Andrew: Tell me the context.
[24:37] Kassie: Yeah.
[24:39] Kassie: Well, it is now everyone.
[24:44] Claudia: No, yes, I do.
[24:45] Kassie: It's just the the guy the little kid's name is escaping me, even though I just Myron's birthday, and he was stuck in that egg or whatever.
[24:54] Kassie: So they're trying to get him down.
[24:55] Claudia: And then we're like, don't worry, we got it.
[24:57] Kassie: And then they just go right into uptown folk.
[24:59] Claudia: So it was like the context of like there's a child stuck in an egg, and you're just uptown funking it up right now.
[25:04] Kassie: But is that before or after Roger has to climb the damn rope?
[25:08] Claudia: So that's probably that's the end of that plot.
[25:10] Kassie: That is like the at the beginning of the episode, he's like, I can't I can't climb the rope.
[25:14] Claudia: And then he climbs the rope to get the end.
[25:16] Kassie: Thank God, thank God.
[25:18] Claudia: We all have those days when we have to climb the rope to get the rope.
[25:21] Kassie: They're just repeating plot lines from season one.
[25:23] Claudia: Jesus Christ.
[25:24] Kassie: I remember that.
[25:26] Claudia: Okay, thank you for that.
[25:27] Kassie: It's all coming back to me now.
[25:29] Claudia: Oh well, that's so beautiful.
[25:30] Kassie: Is that a manifestation?
[25:32] Claudia: I hope it is.
[25:33] Kassie: My favorite role.
[25:34] Claudia: My favorite roller.
[25:35] Kassie: Is that your favorite?
[25:35] Claudia: And my karaoke song, full circle.
[25:38] Andrew: Wow.
[25:38] Kassie: Okay.
[25:39] Kassie: Um Cassie, what else do you have to to add here?
[25:44] Kassie: The last thing I'll add is that I think that Jesse's girl should have made it farther.
[25:48] Kassie: And I don't think take about it.
[25:50] Claudia: No, Jesse's girl is here.
[25:52] Kassie: But I I don't think it should have lost to take about is my point.
[25:57] Andrew: Okay.
[25:57] Kassie: It came back on a technicality.
[25:59] Andrew: Sure.
[26:00] Kassie: Should be going through on merit.
[26:02] Kassie: I will say this right now for the first time.
[26:06] Kassie: That there is a real broad safety net in round two of the Glackett.
[26:11] Andrew: That I do not I like halfway through round two, I'm like, I don't, I don't think I like this safety net as much.
[26:18] Kassie: Because it's like when you have a hard competition, then it's like, oh, then I'm I trust that the the Glaytrons will will vote that song back.
[26:28] Andrew: And so I'm thinking that for round three, there will be much less opportunities for songs to come back.
[26:36] Kassie: Because I think I think it's more fun when we have these hard competitions where it's like, and it's all coming back to me now, is dead.
[26:44] Andrew: And she's never coming back.
[26:46] Kassie: Like, no, that's what it's it's gonna have to come down to songs at some point.
[26:50] Kassie: Like you could be sad that songs don't go through, and I could die on the hill of loser like me, but the only reason I die on it is because I think it's a song that could have won.
[26:58] Andrew: If it's a song you like it, yes.
[27:01] Kassie: I'll die on that.
[27:03] Claudia: Medium, Andrew just gave me a meme mug, but Claudia did too.
[27:11] Kassie: I but you were bigger on my screen.
[27:13] Claudia: So okay, I could see the argument for it being like a iconic Glee song.
[27:22] Kassie: I don't hate it the way others hate it.
[27:24] Claudia: Like, yeah, the lyrics are kind of dumb, but like is light I love light up the world.
[27:30] Kassie: Are the lyrics less dumb?
[27:32] Claudia: Maybe, maybe they are, but I mean they are.
[27:34] Kassie: I'm I'm a light up the world hater, unfortunately.
[27:37] Claudia: I'm a lot of stuff.
[27:38] Kassie: I'm a light up the world lover.
[27:40] Claudia: I also like light up the world a lot.
[27:42] Kassie: Maybe we're really we also have very different opinions on okay on the axis of the originals.
[27:49] Andrew: We should we should plot that out.
[27:51] Kassie: So I I like light up the world, but I don't like loser like me.
[27:55] Claudia: Kassie likes loser like me, but she doesn't like light up the world, and then Claudia, you like loser like me and light up the world.
[28:03] Kassie: I think that's really, really beautiful.
[28:05] Andrew: And I think we have to add pretending in there because I like pretending.
[28:07] Claudia: I could go either way, and Andrew, you are a pretending hater.
[28:11] Andrew: I'm not a pretender.
[28:12] Kassie: I like I'm a realist.
[28:13] Claudia: She's not.
[28:13] Kassie: I'm I'm a let me be honest.
[28:15] Claudia: And I'm somewhere in the middle.
[28:17] Kassie: I'm ambivalent.
[28:18] Andrew: Oh wow.
[28:19] Andrew: This is really this is going to be an iconic episode of Gleek of the Week podcast because wow we're really coming from different um paths of life.
[28:27] Kassie: I'm feeling good about them being together.
[28:29] Claudia: Yeah you might have to make a graph.
[28:30] Andrew: Yeah.
[28:31] Claudia: Well I love a graph.
[28:32] Andrew: Thank you so much for um being vulnerable.
[28:34] Kassie: I don't I I told you I would be that is this that that is your vulnerability.
[28:40] Claudia: It looks like now I've been more vulnerable than everybody else.
[28:43] Andrew: Okay. I really appreciate it. And I'm sorry that if my face was saying meaner things than what was intended. I just took it as a challenge.
[28:50] Claudia: Okay. I love that beautiful me too. Well, Claudia, you already know it's your time to shine. What are you when you got? Um, I have like a list with different tiers that I'm not gonna do, but I remember somebody recently on an episode did like songs that they are sad the one lost but they get it and then songs that they're sad that they lost and it shouldn't have and then the one is like deserves jail time or something like that.
[29:19] Kassie: Yeah.
[29:20] Claudia: I have a few of those, but I'll do one, which is I love "Celebrity Skin" and "Silence."
[29:29] Andrew: Okay.
[29:31] Claudia: Okay. Audio medium, we both thought about it. I like was like, did you guys hear me? Like did you guys my coming through? I was I was more I was waiting for the argument behind it.
[29:42] Kassie: Uh, there's not much of an ar I mean I love the production of it. I was just listening to the "That's What You Really Missed" recap of "Makeover." I really like that episode. I love the production. I think it's very fun and silly.
[29:55] Claudia: Oh my god. Yeah. DeClaudia, didn't you say like a few weeks ago that like make what did you say make no Britney 2.0 is your Asian S?
[30:02] Kassie: Yeah. Britney 2.0 is my Asian F.
[30:05] Claudia: And we can get into it now or later. But maybe I'll manifest to Brittany. Actually, are there any songs from Britney 2.0 though?
[30:11] Kassie: Yeah, there is.
[30:11] Claudia: Probably. You know there is. Come on, there is. Come on, three.
[30:15] Kassie: Oh, come on, three. What about is um I should have seen that all the time. I swear I researched before this, but I glee searched, but I guess it's all out of my head. Anyway, my one thing I was gonna say is I love "Celebrity Skin," but boy, like that beat it and it should have. Like that's an amazing amazing Santana moment, her in that red dress, go with God Satan, all of the things.
[30:38] Claudia: Um but I love "Celebrity Skin." I love Britney. I just Britney was always my favorite. Um in my prime of being a Gleek. It's a fun one. It's a fun number. I love it. I like I like Sam a lot. I think I used to like really, really love him, and now he doesn't do as much for me upon rewatch because some of it's just like they it seems like they didn't really know what to do with his character. And like every season he's very like not I don't know, he just like fits whatever hole that they need. Like they need him to be comic relief and four and don't get me started on Bram.
[31:12] Kassie: I just even though I like that song. Don't get this girl started on Bram.
[31:17] Claudia: I like them as platonic bisexuals.
[31:20] Kassie: Sure.
[31:21] Claudia: Which Britney 2.0, they are boom, exactly. And "Makeover." They are. So I like "Celebrity Skin." And part of that is because Glee, like a lot of Glee covers introduced me to some of like various like 90s alt rock and just like whole um all of those guys. Actually, I can't think of another example, but all basically every Finn song is either like real rock or like and that kind of genre.
[31:51] Kassie: Sure.
[31:52] Claudia: Um but bigger grievances, I will say Oh my god. One of my favorite Beatles songs and a really random underrated Glee song, I think, is "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away." And it lost to "I Kissed a Girl." That is crazy. Three, I think. Season three is like the biggest abomination I've ever seen. That that is. I love their voices together. Like I don't know. I think it's very beautiful. I don't I think I definitely watched season four and five live, and I remember liking Kitty and Artie at the time. So I just really like their voices together. I love almost every Kevin McHale book. I think that "Drive My Car" is still around.
[32:36] Kassie: Do you like her?
[32:37] Claudia: I do love "Drive My Car."
[32:39] Kassie: Mm-hmm.
[32:39] Claudia: I love both of them very much. Those are two of my favorite Beatles songs. And honestly, don't know Chicken or the Egg came first. I don't know if I heard the Glee version first or the Beatles version, and I'll be honest with that. Wow.
[32:49] Kassie: Which is like I'm aging myself, but that's the truth.
[32:52] Claudia: And that's the truth. I guess I also have um similar to my "Celebrity Skin" one, I loved "Every Time" from Britney 2.0.
[33:03] Kassie: Every time do you have on on file who it lost?
[33:07] Claudia: It lost to do what, which I'm like, it's tough. It's tough for me. I love them. That I don't know the context of that one almost like I it might have gone either way for me, but I Santana, yeah, like them just walking around. I don't even know what they're doing. Season five is like also the end of season five is a complete like gap in my memory. I don't know what I don't know her at all. I'm trying to work my way up to her. I'm re-watching season four right now.
[33:33] Kassie: Approach her at Cafe Carlyle.
[33:36] Claudia: Yeah, work up the courage, see if she like mean mug.
[33:41] Kassie: Yeah. Hopefully you don't need five $30 cocktails to do it.
[33:45] Claudia: Don't watch the back half of season five. I might figure it out. You're throwing those drinks back and you are missing your mouth every season.
[33:53] Kassie: Um missing my mouth. Let me tell you. Oh I guess. Again, Britney 2.0, and this one you're not gonna like, Andrew. I know you're not gonna like it. You're not gonna like it. Crazy you crazy you drive me crazy lost to last name.
[34:07] Andrew: Don't care for it.
[34:08] Claudia: I don't think I kinda do like "Crazy You Drive Me Crazy."
[34:11] Kassie: Okay, but don't but don't you love "Last Name"? Or am I crazy?
[34:14] Claudia: I like "Last Name." They kind of exist in the same area, I would imagine, if I were to rank every single song.
[34:24] Kassie: Yeah.
[34:24] Claudia: "Crazy You Drive Me Crazy." You know what? If I were to vote on that competition today, I think I would have voted for "Crazy Drive Me Crazy."
[34:30] Kassie: That's kind of crazy.
[34:31] Claudia: Crazy crazy.
[34:33] Kassie: Crazy crazy.
[34:33] Claudia: I love that one. I love uh I wouldn't say I love Jake and Marley, but I like their voices together. One of my I don't know if this is that big of a hot take, but I was actually I really liked season four, and I was actually invested in the newbies. I really liked those characters. Um I thought they did a good job, especially in the beginning of season four of like balancing both plot lines with the New York um and the newbie plots. Um I really like a lot of those songs.
[35:02] Kassie: I agree with you.
[35:03] Claudia: I love season four.
[35:04] Kassie: Yeah.
[35:05] Claudia: A lot of people talk about like season six being better than season four, and I just can't I can't get behind that.
[35:11] Kassie: Or liking the season six.
[35:12] Claudia: You like the season six newbies more, right?
[35:14] Kassie: I do like the season six new. I think they're different.
[35:16] Claudia: They're different, but like I don't know anything about them except very I Because we didn't have enough time with them.
[35:22] Kassie: I agree with that too. I like both sets of newbies. I don't pin the newbies against each other because I think both groups had great fight.
[35:34] Claudia: I'm sorry, who do you think would win in a fight?
[35:36] Kassie: Who do you think would fight?
[35:37] Claudia: In a physical brawl?
[35:39] Kassie: In a physical brawl. Like the news of season four.
[35:41] Claudia: Yeah. Does Kitty go to season four or season six?
[35:44] Kassie: This is a good question. I think that Kitty goes to season four.
[35:49] Claudia: If Kitty goes to season six, it might go either way.
[35:53] Kassie: Wait, explain that logic to me. I'm so curious.
[35:56] Claudia: Well, because I feel I would have said the opposite.
[35:58] Kassie: Really?
[35:56] Claudia: I would have said that season six it has advantage because I think Myron would he'd he'd be a biter.
[36:04] Kassie: Yeah, but biting, pulling hair, just like scratching, just like doing nasty tricks.
[36:09] Claudia: Yeah. He would be crazy because he'd get on like the chandelier again and just start swinging and taking people out with his feet.
[36:15] Kassie: Oh that that's kind of like a final smash for Myron.
[36:18] Claudia: Yeah. Yeah, like finish him Mortal Kombat.
[36:23] Kassie: Carol.
[36:24] Claudia: No, I'm not I don't know if I have the I if I have the tools to be able to create something as elaborate as that, but I like the idea. I have a vision.
[36:34] Kassie: It's okay. It doesn't eat it.
[36:36] Claudia: But if Kitty's on season four, then she could take Myron, probably take him out, and then keep fighting.
[36:42] Kassie: If Kitty and Myron are together, who who's defending season four?
[36:48] Claudia: I I don't think it's Marley. I think Marley's hiding. She's I don't think she's fighting. Um I think you need to fight, but I don't I don't know if Uni could be fine.
[36:58] Kassie: I don't either, but if it comes down to it, she's not gonna hide with Marley.
[37:03] Claudia: Yeah. I don't think Ryder would I don't I think Ryder would can I say this? I think Rider would be a pussy. I think he'd be knocked out first.
[37:12] Kassie: Wait, really?
[37:13] Claudia: No. Yeah, I don't think he would actually I don't think he'd step up to the plate.
[37:16] Kassie: Oh bangs. Something about the bangs feels like he I don't know. And I also think that like kind of like Jake.
[37:22] Kassie: No, I think that Jake is kind of like the the I'm not stepping up to the plate.
[37:27] Claudia: Oh wait, we kind of have seen him get aggressive though, right?
[37:30] Kassie: Yeah, Jake would be Jake would be fighting.
[37:32] Claudia: Jake's gonna be a little bit more than a few scooter and do laps on that scooter.
[37:36] Kassie: The razor scooter swing the oh like swing the scooter around people's ankles.
[37:41] Claudia: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That would take out a group in like five seconds.
[37:45] Kassie: A razor scooter to the ankle is the worst pain.
[37:48] Claudia: Yeah, we can't underestimate that.
[37:49] Kassie: We cannot underestimate the power of that.
[37:52] Claudia: Very important. Very, very important to consider. Well, um, I'm glad that we had that discussion. I like that thought experiment. I really did.
[38:00] Kassie: Yeah. I mean, give people a lot of things to think about.
[38:05] Andrew: Wait, so Claudia, do you have do you have further um things to to create out?
[38:11] Claudia: Um I'll give you like my big one. Uh first time I ever saw your face. Cry. From the same episode as "Every Time," I believe. I don't even know, but lost to "Gives You Hell," which is good and fun, but like we have other like Rachel being feeling wronged, and I'm gonna do wee wee way. And I hate at the end, she says something snarky, and it Oh, I remember. It's Mr. Shu is like, um, the assignment was to use the word hello. And she goes, I was just focusing on the first syllable. And I this is AI it's literally I really didn't like the way she delivered the line either. Like it was as if the options were between two syllables. She's like, I was focusing on the first one, and I don't know. I didn't like that at all. And I love for ever uh "First Time I Ever Saw Your Face."
[39:04] Kassie: Um Matt brought up in a recent episode songs that he would like to play at his soon to be wedding.
[39:11] Claudia: Yes, "First Time I Ever Saw Your Face," come on now. That is top of the glist. That is top of the gliss. That would be that's a beautiful wedding song in general, but I think would land as a Glee cover because it's just beautiful. All the great vocalists. Oh my god, I love that one. And I just I love it very much. I love it. I love it.
[39:30] Kassie: Yeah.
[39:30] Claudia: I think that's I think that's it.
[39:32] Andrew: That's great. Thank you so much for being vulnerable. Um, and that is the end of the episode. Thank you.
[39:38] Kassie: Oh, good night so much for joining me.
[39:42] Andrew: I just really wanted to hear what everyone was upset about and then end the episode. And retail Diana.
[39:48] Kassie: Yeah. Does anybody want to? I was thinking about it. Does anybody want to say anything that makes makes them happy about the the Glacket? Because I feel like doing this week after week of just being like, hey, I want to hear what um makes you upset is kind of taxing. But what makes you happy?
[40:04] Claudia: I have a lot of things. Like I said, my top nine, I think, are still in the running.
[40:08] Kassie: That is wild.
[40:10] Claudia: I was gonna say happy. I was gonna say, I feel like that's a really good one.
[40:14] Kassie: That's really good odds.
[40:15] Claudia: Nine out of my ten.
[40:16] Kassie: And you want to guess what the one that is in my top ten that's not in there?
[40:21] Claudia: The first time I ever saw your face.
[40:22] Kassie: Yeah.
[40:23] Claudia: No, it's actually not in my top 10. It's up there.
[40:26] Kassie: It's not every time.
[40:27] Claudia: No, you know it.
[40:28] Kassie: Crazy, you drive me crazy.
[40:30] Claudia: No. It's not from today. I haven't mentioned it today yet, but I mentioned it every other day of my life.
[40:36] Kassie: I don't know.
[40:37] Claudia: Come on. Blow me one last kiss.
[40:40] Kassie: Oh, right.
[40:42] Claudia: You were in the chat.
[40:43] Kassie: Yeah. I was in the trenches with that one.
[40:46] Claudia: Yeah, that's my one. I think the rest are all in still.
[40:49] Kassie: Yours is "Loser Like Me," Cassie?
[40:52] Claudia: That is that that should be there, yeah.
[40:55] Kassie: Right. Right, right.

[1:23:57] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:23:57] Kassie: Well, um, I went up to Adam Lambert and I said, I think first I said, I saw you were my first concert.
[1:24:04] Claudia: I saw you on your American Idol tour.
[1:24:06] Kassie: And then I think second I said, and I loved you on Glee.
[1:24:10] Claudia: And to both of those things, to both of those things, he said, wow, that's a throwback.
[1:24:16] Kassie: He said that each time.
[1:24:17] Claudia: First I said the American Idol thing, and that's what he said, and then I said the glee thing, and that's what he said.
[1:24:22] Kassie: And a little bit better than Diana, I think.
[1:24:26] Claudia: But not much smiling.
[1:24:29] Kassie: That's kind of very sorry.
[1:24:33] Claudia: That's like when Andrew met Leah Michelle and he told her about drop, and she's like, that's not very original.
[1:24:39] Kassie: I think that is much better.
[1:24:40] Claudia: She actually engaged with you in a fun way.
[1:24:43] Kassie: What if we've got here's an idea, Leah Adam Diana?
[1:24:46] Claudia: And we can see who hates us more.
[1:24:51] Kassie: Do you remember this girl?
[1:24:52] Claudia: Her name is Claudia.
[1:24:54] Kassie: And uh I've never met Leah actually, but I did see her during the what's it called, Leah Darren concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
[1:25:03] Claudia: So okay.
[1:25:05] Kassie: Sorry, I just have to name drop all my really close connections and my very good friends.
[1:25:10] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:25:10] Kassie: Did you have a good time?
[1:25:12] Claudia: Yeah, it was great.
[1:25:14] Kassie: I screamed to drop at the Kennedy Center, which is not that kind of venue.
[1:25:18] Claudia: That's that's the only way to drop though.
[1:25:21] Kassie: Um Claudia, do you have any opinions upon the damn song?
[1:25:26] Claudia: I love it so much.
[1:25:29] Kassie: So so so much.
[1:25:30] Claudia: I to quote Demi Lovato right after this song, she says, You rocked that so hard.
[1:25:36] Kassie: That's exactly what I was thinking.
[1:25:37] Claudia: That's exactly what I was thinking.
[1:25:38] Kassie: I'm also my other reaction is the same when the camera like kind of spins behind Elliot and in front of Santana, and she's doing like a whoa audio medium we're going, like I think it's interval five.
[1:25:55] Claudia: Like I think that they get it.
[1:25:57] Kassie: Like a tornado.
[1:25:58] Claudia: Yeah, exactly.
[1:26:00] Kassie: Um that's my reaction as well.
[1:26:02] Claudia: I I think like if I had a Spotify rewind of or whatever it's called, I don't know.
[1:26:09] Kassie: Um, of Glee episodes I've seen, I think Katie I've rewatched Katie Gaga so many times, both for the drinking game of it all, but also because like when I have a friend that's never seen Glee and I want to show them something that will absolutely like really it's Kitty Gaga.
[1:26:22] Claudia: Yeah, that'll just be very confusing and bizarre.
[1:26:26] Kassie: The stupid of it all, that's the one usually or Brittany 2.0 or Brittany 2.0. Katie Gaga is, uh, we can both agree. Katie Gaga is definitely outstupending Brittany 2.0.
[1:26:37] Claudia: Yeah, but Brittany 2.0 has the Kiki and the Satenta.
[1:26:41] Kassie: Sorry, did that was that English?
[1:26:44] Claudia: It might have been, but I didn't understand it.
[1:26:47] Kassie: Um, one of the reasons why I love Brittany 2.0 is the scene where she has her Satenta coffee and is talking to Kiki in her phone.
[1:26:55] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:26:55] Kassie: And so this, the sentence I just said is, uh, something about it being pretty close to outstupending Kiki and the Satenta.
[1:27:02] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:27:03] Kassie: I like both of those things. Um, Kitty Gaga, you know what you mean to me. Um, Kitty Gaga. Uh, you are, you mean so much.
[1:27:13] Claudia: She's a special guy.
[1:27:14] Kassie: I feel like I just need to go on like an entire, like, um, speech about Kitty Gaga every time that a Kitty Gaga song gets pulled on the Glacket. But I really do love this episode so damn much, and it means so much to me.
[1:27:27] Claudia: Um, I do feel bad about how Kitty Gaga songs you're doing in round two thus far. Um, Kitty Gaga was one of like two or three episodes that had, um, a perfect attendance for round two that all songs made it through, and I think that's really beautiful, and it's really telling of, you know, the Glacket. I don't know, it's just, I just really like it.
[1:27:50] Kassie: But since round two has started, um, Roar was sent away in the Heather Morris episode because of Diva, and I think that's fine.
[1:28:02] Claudia: For sure.
[1:28:03] Kassie: Um, Applause is making it through to round three, um, over Promises Promises, and this I guess we'll see what happens, but also Wide Awake is still fair game. Um, what else was songs?
[1:28:19] Claudia: There's only four.
[1:28:22] Kassie: It's a really heavy plot episode. There's a lot, there's a lot of happening. Um, I actually have true Jackson VP, like a little bit of a hot take of that episode, and I need to word it very carefully because I mean it in a very specific way.
[1:28:37] Claudia: Think about who you're talking to.
[1:28:41] Kassie: No, I know. That's how we met.
[1:28:43] Claudia: So that is how we met.
[1:28:45] Kassie: No, no, no. This is not, this is a very specific, it didn't come up yet. So the whole Marley of it all, the whole Marley getting suspended. I think that she had every right to not want to wear the outfit that she wanted to wear. And I think it's unfortunate that that is the kind of, I guess I'll say disobedience that she had of the assignment, which she should be able to wear what she wants to wear.
[1:29:09] Claudia: But she really just like the outfit she wore wasn't even that much better than, I don't know what she was gonna have her wearing, but like the Katie outfit isn't like conservative, so I was just always confused if that's what they put her in.
[1:29:24] Kassie: Like she had a right to refuse the bikini, but she, no, I mean like the creators. Because like it's not like it's that much more like not revealing. Like she's in a wig, she's in like the little hand. She's in a wig bra, and I don't know. I just feel like it was if they were gonna have her be like, I don't want to be in a bikini, I don't want to show off my body. It was an interesting choice of an outfit because of like the California girls video is still like kind of...
[1:29:45] Claudia: I understand what you're saying. Like if she was trying to say like a point of like I don't want to be like risque, like Gaga with this unseen bra outfit that's only alluded to like this she wasn't in a parka doing Applause.
[1:30:12] Kassie: Right, yeah, like we don't get to see what it is, but I just, I just think it's interesting that the hill she died on is I don't want to be in this revealing outfit, but it was just like, I don't know, it's not like she was wearing like something so much more that is a, uh, a take that I have yet to hear, but you know what? I like it. I stand in her choice, but like if she really wanted to make a statement, she should have came out in like the shark outfit.
[1:30:37] Claudia: The sh... well, well, she didn't have the wherewithal to make that shark reference yet. That was a year later, just she should have figured it out.
[1:30:43] Kassie: Legally, she should have told the future.
[1:30:46] Claudia: How does she, how is she not that so?
[1:30:48] Kassie: You know what? That would, that she is ahead of her time in more ways than one.
[1:30:51] Claudia: Many ways.
[1:30:53] Kassie: I think that's very fair, Cassie. But I guess part is the whole concept is like she just wants to be like, I'm not a Gaga, I am Katie. I'm saying true to myself. Again, putting those two on the poles of each other is so confusing to me.
[1:31:09] Claudia: You're either Katie or Gaga, guys.
[1:31:11] Kassie: I think, but come on, we can't overthink it. I think it's fun, I think it's stupid. I love it.
[1:31:15] Claudia: It is the stupidest in the best way.
[1:31:18] Kassie: Right, we're right. It's the AV club singing back up to Rolling in the Deep for an episode.
[1:31:25] Claudia: Um, I feel like we haven't really even talked about Mary the Night at all.
[1:31:31] Kassie: We're waiting for Cassie.
[1:31:32] Claudia: I have one more thing to say about it, which is when he goes I'm a loser.
[1:31:37] Kassie: I was thinking about loser like me.
[1:31:39] Claudia: Oh, I was thinking about, I was thinking about singing that, but then I was like, I'm not gonna interrupt.
[1:31:44] Kassie: Oh.
[1:31:45] Claudia: I'm a break my heart over like me.
[1:31:47] Kassie: Yeah, sorry, I got a Glee on the Gold cast.
[1:31:49] Claudia: So it's okay. Mary the Night Glee cast version by Glee cast is not a song that feels like a Glee cast version by Glee cast.
[1:31:58] Kassie: I'll be the first to say it.
[1:32:00] Claudia: I would agree.
[1:32:01] Kassie: And I would take it further.
[1:32:03] Claudia: This is, I'm really full of hot takes right now.
[1:32:05] Kassie: Yeah, go ahead.
[1:32:06] Claudia: I think it's better than the original.
[1:32:09] Kassie: Sorry.
[1:32:09] Claudia: I do.
[1:32:11] Kassie: Oh, okay.
[1:32:12] Claudia: Wait, oh, okay. So what I'm saying is that Mary the Night Glee cast version by Glee cast, it just feels like, uh, Adam Lambert we could have seen him perform this at Pride, we could have seen this him perform this in American Idol, we could have seen him perform this like anywhere else. It was like not, it did not need to be on the hitbox show Glee.
[1:32:29] Kassie: I understand that people really like this performance a lot. Um, god, I don't, it's a, it's, I feel like I'm gonna ruffle some feathers.
[1:32:39] Claudia: Yeah, I'm ruffled.
[1:32:40] Kassie: Consider me.
[1:32:42] Claudia: I'm ruffled too.
[1:32:43] Kassie: I thought we were on the same page and we were like no, it's like it's kind of like a never stream for me because it doesn't like, I don't know. Like I like, I get what you mean. It like, it doesn't like if it's, if there is another, if there was like a Glee, a main Glee cast member on the track with him, then I'm like, oh, this is a Glee song. But the fact that it's like guest star Adam Lambert singing a solo that is so within his wheelhouse of like an what we would expect Adam Lambert to sing that I'm like I don't, is that like a bad opinion?
[1:33:12] Claudia: I just don't think it's Star Child's fault that Adam Lambert killed.
[1:33:17] Kassie: Don't b, don't blame this on him.
[1:33:19] Claudia: I don't think he should be have that working against it. I'm just like trying to think of like what is, okay, so like, okay. So Kate, maybe this is a bad example, but Kate Hudson singing a mashup of Americano Dance Again. I'm like, okay, this is a mashup. She's already doing something different with the song. It's not like what I would expect. Uh, uh, Kate Hudson, I know that she has a singing career, but it's like whatever. Whatever. I don't know. Um, who was like a singer that came onto the show?
[1:33:45] Kassie: Oh.
[1:33:45] Claudia: Chris and Cheno with the last name.
[1:33:47] Kassie: Not really.
[1:33:48] Claudia: No, because like the Chris and Cheno with the last name is like that's a good example in my favor that it's like that's not what we would expect from Chris and Cheno with. So it's like kind of fun to see her sing last name. What I'm thinking now is like Jessica Sanchez. Then I'm like, okay, just like Sanchez, you get out there and you sing Clarity. There's nothing Glee cast about this.
[1:34:06] Kassie: That's fair.
[1:34:07] Claudia: I see what you mean. I was thinking also that like he doesn't do enough with it to make it sound different from the original, but his voice is just so great on that track that I don't, I'm not mad about it.
[1:34:23] Kassie: Like he just, I don't know. I think it's, I love it.
[1:34:27] Claudia: I do still like at this point in this conversation, I really don't know because I think that you're both very solidified in your vote. Right?
[1:34:35] Kassie: I don't know.
[1:34:37] Claudia: Oh.
[1:34:37] Kassie: I'm, Cassie, I'm pretty solid.
[1:34:39] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:34:40] Kassie: Oh god. Do we want to say anything further before we do the vote thing?
[1:34:43] Claudia: Yeah, what was Cassie gonna? Didn't you have something to reveal? Or did you just reveal is that I think this is better than the original.
[1:34:51] Kassie: Um, because I just, I do. I would reach for this more than I would reach for the original.
[1:34:56] Claudia: Oh, I reach for this.
[1:34:58] Kassie: Why is that?
[1:34:59] Claudia: Um, one, I've always, I always loved Adam Lambert. Like on American Idol, I was obsessed with him. There was those little on you could log on, it wasn't Sims or anything. I think it was We Me. And they were like weird and you could dress them, and mine had the sign vote Adam Lambert because I loved him, and I think he should have won. And I think that love just carried on. So when I was watching Glee and I watched it older, I didn't watch Glee till I was in college. So a lot of the lore that other people would have known, like when he, I'm sure he was announced that he was on going on Glee, or there was some kind of information that people would have known. I'm just watching, and all of a sudden that popped up, and he started because if I'm not mistaken, that's his first appearance.
[1:35:40] Kassie: His first scene.
[1:35:40] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:35:41] Kassie: So I'm just watching, I'm in college, and bam, there's Adam Lambert singing Mary the Night. So I was like, oh, like what a nice surprise. And yeah. So I think that love and that big shock factor has always carried through.
[1:35:52] Kassie: I don't have the same glistery with Adam Lambert. I know that like it famously Glee premiered after the season finale of American Idol where Adam Lambert lost. And so I think that that's kind of like really, I could be, I feel like I'm correct on that, but I could be wrong.
[1:36:12] Claudia: The timeline checks out.
[1:36:14] Kassie: I love it. Um, but I think it's kind of beautiful that he did wind up on the show.
[1:36:18] Claudia: That is beautiful.
[1:36:19] Kassie: Yeah.
[1:36:20] Claudia: Uh, full circle.
[1:36:22] Kassie: This is hard for me.
[1:36:23] Claudia: Oh.
[1:36:24] Kassie: Oh, Cassie, you were, you were placing your vote for Mary the Night, yes.
[1:36:29] Kassie: Yeah.
[1:36:30] Claudia: My vote is for Mary the Night.
[1:36:31] Kassie: Oh, but now I'm scared for her because neither of you seem sure.
[1:36:35] Claudia: I am sure.
[1:36:37] Kassie: Uh, Science Fiction Double Feature, which means Claudia.
[1:36:40] Claudia: No, no, Claudia.
[1:36:42] Kassie: No, no, no, no.
[1:36:43] Claudia: Oh god, this is so hard. I'm gonna have to talk it through, I think.
[1:36:46] Kassie: Because we wanted to fight.
[1:36:48] Claudia: Um, I'll put on my lawyer hat and I'll make my arguments so I need to.
[1:36:50] Kassie: Yeah, I was gonna say, you're like, this is not a fair battle because I do want to hear her argument, but first I'm gonna, I'm gonna think out loud, which is that Santana is like everything to me. And I love her.
[1:37:01] Kassie: And my like everything.
[1:37:05] Claudia: Yeah.
[1:37:06] Kassie: That's so nice.
[1:37:07] Claudia: That was good.
[1:37:08] Kassie: Isn't Michelle Branch? You know the one.
[1:37:09] Claudia: Yeah, it's nice.
[1:37:11] Kassie: Everything.
[1:37:11] Claudia: Okay.
[1:37:12] Kassie: Uh no, that was nice. I like that.
[1:37:14] Claudia: No, it was nice. I think we all agree it was nice.
[1:37:17] Kassie: You really mean it, guys?
[1:37:18] Claudia: I think you're trying to sway somebody to your side, but it was nice.
[1:37:22] Kassie: Yeah, you're calming down my nervous system with the city.
[1:37:25] Claudia: Do you wanna do you wanna vote in favor of a beautiful singer like myself?
[1:37:29] Kassie: Cassie, sing off!

[1:37:32] Kassie: Oh boy. Um, I don't have a siren call, but what I did...
[1:37:33] Claudia: Oh, Andrew does.
[1:37:39] Kassie: Um, I'm just thinking that of all like the Santolos, this one I forget about. It's so excellent, and I love it, and I also love Rocky Horror. And I just, I love, it's a, it's fantastic, but I forget about it. But Mary the Night, I definitely stream regularly. And I really, really like it. I never forget her, and I love Katie Gaga so much.
[1:38:00] Claudia: Do you guys want to do you wanna pitch to me, Cassie?
[1:38:04] Kassie: Santana loved Mary the Night too. Just saying.
[1:38:06] Claudia: Oh, you're just going to be able to do that.
[1:38:07] Kassie: She was absolutely gagged through that whole performance. Her jaw was on the floor. She was recording.
[1:38:15] Claudia: You're so right.
[1:38:16] Kassie: Oh god. I'm going into jail.
[1:38:18] Claudia: I yeah, I don't know. I don't, I can't say if Elliot liked Science Fiction Double Feature.
[1:38:23] Kassie: Oh my god, I will say though, and I brought this up a few episodes back, that like, um, songs that get referenced in future episodes.
[1:38:34] Claudia: Ah yeah, do get like you are a level of fame status.
[1:38:39] Kassie: Yeah.
[1:38:39] Claudia: Um, Mary the Night is done and is never referenced again, if I'm not mistaken, but I would be surprised if it is. However, Science Fiction Double Feature is mentioned in the season three, episode four episode Pot of Gold. Do you remember this?
[1:38:56] Kassie: No.
[1:38:57] Claudia: Where, um, where, uh, Mercedes is trying to get Santana to join the Troubletones and she's like, Oh, I really liked last year when you sang Valerie, like you never get any solos in Glee Club, and then Santana says, actually, I was the lips in Rocky Horror.
[1:39:14] Kassie: That's true.

[1:39:30] Claudia: I raise you one Demi Lovato, is there?
[1:39:33] Kassie: That one isn't Demi Lovato strumming generally on guitar.
[1:39:38] Claudia: She's jamming.
[1:39:39] Kassie: That doesn't do as much for me.
[1:39:40] Claudia: That doesn't do as much for me.
[1:39:42] Kassie: Okay, my feeling is that it makes me sick to my stomach to go against a Santana anything, but I think my gut is giving me Mary the Night.
[1:39:53] Claudia: I knew.
[1:39:54] Kassie: I really love it. I'm so sorry.
[1:39:56] Claudia: I knew it was a canon event.
[1:39:57] Kassie: It's so wrong.
[1:39:58] Claudia: But sh, because she is all up in my top 10, top 25. I, there are other ones I will really go to bat for. I will say that.
[1:40:07] Kassie: Wait, sorry, Cassie, go ahead.
[1:40:08] Kassie: I was gonna say there's better Santolos. She'll, she will live to see late rounds of the Glacket.
[1:40:15] Claudia: Just not the specific not our lips.
[1:40:17] Kassie: Everybody else.
[1:40:18] Claudia: So good though. I love her lips.
[1:40:21] Kassie: They're in every other number too. That's it.
[1:40:28] Andrew: It's okay. It's okay. Santana's lips will be back. Um, I will say, I feel like I usually have like a good sense of like where the polls will sway. Glee Casper's Mike Lee Cass. But and I will say that I think it's it's swaying in your in your favor. I don't I think the Marry the Night hive is stronger than the science fictioners. I don't think this one might be 50/50. It's hard. Sometimes it does happen. Marry the Night is feeling like a how to be a heartbreaker kind of thing where it's like not a main cast member, but it's just like very, very good to me. Um but I don't know. I I get pretty good.
[1:41:09] Claudia: You're putting you're putting Brody on the same level as Adam Lambert.
[1:41:13] Andrew: Maybe not. Be so serious right now. How to be a heartbreaker. I don't know. I don't know which thank you. I don't know how if how to be a heartbreaker would be Marry the Night, but that's not a competition at hand.
[1:41:24] Kassie: Oh, it wouldn't, but it still could be recognized as good. Anyway. Anyway, we have one more competition if you guys are after.
[1:41:32] Claudia: Oh, I don't want to do it anymore. We fought. I think that was our fight of the episode.
[1:41:36] Kassie: That was a good fight. That was good. I like that.
[1:41:39] Andrew: Thanks, guys. Thanks. Okay. I gotta blow low.
[1:41:44] Claudia: Oh god. Maybe it'll be my favorite.

[1:41:56] Claudia: Oh.
[1:41:58] Kassie: What am I looking at?
[1:42:01] Andrew: Okay, audio medium, it's Blaine. He's sitting in the um in the same room that Marry the Night was just done in.
[1:42:08] Claudia: Yeah, I think Adam is back in the corner over there.
[1:42:11] Kassie: Adam's hiding. He's like, Marry the Night again, please. Um, okay, it's All of Me.

[1:46:06] Andrew: Claudia, that's really brave of you to say on the Glee podcast when I know that Gleeks are gonna be like, Claudia's Claudia, I've never seen the show in my life.
[1:46:15] Claudia: I'm brave. Right. I'm being brave.
[1:46:20] Kassie: Be a warrior like Quinn, and she is being a warrior by revealing on a Glee podcast that she hasn't watched Glee all the way through.
[1:46:27] Claudia: I've seen it, but it just isn't.
[1:46:29] Andrew: Yeah, I know you have. No, I know you've seen the show. I know you're seeing Glee.
[1:46:36] Kassie: I can't remember anything.
[1:46:39] Andrew: Kassie go.
[1:46:40] Kassie: I don't remember that at all. Like, until like once Kurt walked in, I was like, yes, this is that. But I'm like you, like, I've watched it a ton of times, and I'm not in the same boat of it gets unfortunately.
[1:46:50] Claudia: Do you know what they're fighting about? Is it's not like that.
[1:46:53] Kassie: Is it when these Blaine gets fat?
[1:46:56] Claudia: No.
[1:46:57] Andrew: It's did you both think that?
[1:46:59] Claudia: Yes.
[1:47:00] Kassie: I'm remembering Billy Davidly when he's eating the big ice cream sundae in the night. No. Um Blaine doesn't get a blow low out of the fat exclamation point, Blaine. Um but this is from the again, the season finale of season five, and this is at like the height of um the Shirley McLean plot. Is this ringing a bell?
[1:47:22] Claudia: No.
[1:47:23] Kassie: Yes, because then he isn't this way Yes, this is when he has to tell Kurt that he can't perform with him, and Kurt's like Yeah. Right? Right, exactly. Where yeah, where Blaine is coming to terms with being more talented than whatever. Like at least like Shirley McLean. This is saying it. Jaws on the floor. Plot. A plot is saying this. I'm not saying it.
[1:47:48] Andrew: No, but that's what I'm saying. The plot is that Blaine is more talented than Kurt and he's like singing to him for it about it.
[1:47:55] Claudia: Oh, because like he because he wanted like Shirley McLean's like, I don't want I don't want Kurt at I don't like Kurt's not good. Kurt's not as good as you, Blaine. And they sang story of my life.
[1:48:04] Kassie: Story of my Yeah, now it's coming back. Yeah. It's coming back.
[1:48:07] Claudia: I remember something. And Blaine told Kurt he can perform, and he was like, Oh yay, I get my moment. And then he has to be like, actually I lied to you.
[1:48:15] Andrew: I'm so sick of them. Copy paste Blaine at a piano trying to deliver some unfortunate news. Kurt looking confused in the audience.
[1:48:25] Claudia: Right. Teenage dream. I think I've seen this film before.
[1:48:28] Kassie: It was very teenage encoded. Yeah.
[1:48:31] Claudia: I didn't like it one bit. I didn't like it. One single bit. Um, I did wanna. Did I did I already say what it won against in round one? Did I say that?
[1:48:41] Andrew: No, you didn't. Uh so in round one, it because I was like, how did this make it through?
[1:48:45] Claudia: Yeah, I was saying the same thing. Jesus Christ. Um, this one against Far from Over Glee Cast version by Gleecast. Do either of you know what that is?
[1:48:55] Kassie: Yes. Max George.
[1:48:57] Claudia: Max George.
[1:48:59] Kassie: I probably I can't hear it in my head. I don't know what it sounds like, but I feel like I would vote that over this.
[1:49:06] Claudia: I have no recollection of the song. And the bells are ringing. The my memory of that song is like the like Give me something. Ah no. Va from Mahu. That's good. That's good. It's some sort of training montage. That's a good one. I would have voted for that one. I don't know why that happened. I'm sorry.
[1:49:29] Andrew: No, that's the Rise and Fall of Sue Silvestre. Ooh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That one I like that one. That might be the best Max George for me. People really like you give love a bad name. Nah. Not you. Mm-mm. Anyway.
[1:49:46] Claudia: Got a legal note. Hit me.
[1:49:48] Andrew: All of me, Glee Cast version by Glee Cast, shares a name of an iconic play that you can watch on in New York City metropolitan area right now, starring none other than prior Gleek of the Week, Lily Mae Harrington from season two of the Glee Project.
[1:50:07] Claudia: Oh never heard of this.
[1:50:09] Andrew: The play is called All of Me, and it's like so damn good. And I'm not saying that because I am like Lily Slay Harrington is my biological mother. Yes. And I l quite literally would take a bullet for her. Um none of that is blinding the fact that I really did like it. It was a really great play. So if you're looking for a good show to see, um Kira Sedgwick is also in it. Um from the the show The Closer. So if you if you like Kira Sedgwick and if you like Lily Slay Harrington, you're gonna love this show. And if you don't like either of them, it's also really good. Anyway, that's my um That was a good song.
[1:50:46] Kassie: I'm sold. That's what that's what Cassie and my next hang will be.
[1:50:50] Claudia: Oh my god, you gotta see it. It's really great. And like Lily Lily Mae, she steals the show. That's all I have to say about all of me.
[1:50:59] Andrew: That was Glycusserish Michael Cast. I feel like we said what needed to be said there, because I think we all have the same opinion on that. So I'm interested to see what's next. Here's my question, actually. Uh why was the room full of the wedding chairs um from when Finchel was trying to plan their wedding and they had to pick the expensive or the cheap ones. Why is it full of the expensive wedding chairs?
[1:51:23] Claudia: Those chairs look familiar. The Cogs were just turning in my head. Weird. Everything about that was just half-assed. We're mad about it. A song originally sung to Chrissy Teigen, now sung to Kurt Hummel. I don't know. Spot the difference about him and then like aggressively at him.
[1:51:50] Kassie: Right. I prefer okay, though actually this is not a cheating plot line, but I much prefer songs where uh Blaine is singing at Kurt about Kurt cheating because I love let's talk about the stupid off. Not right, but okay. That is excellent. Oh. That is good. Yes. Let's see. That's on my glist. Please. It's not, it's not right, but it's okay. But um I do love this girl. I'm looking at her right now, and I'm like You're great. I'm excited. I feel like not a lot of people talk about you. Not as much as I would hope. Definitely not me. I'm not like actively having conversations about you as much as I should. But you're looking her right in the eye. Oh my god! I know what this is, and I she's on my list. She's on my top ten. Here we go.
[1:53:53] Claudia: That was a jump scare at the end with Judy Fabre finding her seat.
[1:54:41] Kassie: Judy, yeah. Judy Fabre. Yeah. I love you so much. Watching.
[1:54:47] Kassie: Back end of the choreography that put your daughter into labor.
[1:54:51] Claudia: Exactly.
[1:54:52] Kassie: Anyway, this is icon status.
[1:54:54] Andrew: I want to crack.
[1:54:55] Kassie: This is a good one.
[1:54:56] Claudia: I love the mashups.
[1:54:57] Kassie: Um, it actually brings up a point not related to this.
[1:55:01] Andrew: So sorry.
[1:55:02] Kassie: Andrew, I was re-listening to something and you were absolutely bashing "Start Me Up / Living on a Prayer."
[1:55:08] Claudia: Um, 10 to do because I don't get it.
[1:55:11] Andrew: No, I just said that.
[1:55:13] Kassie: Um, I did just have to put it out there again. Sorry.
[1:55:15] Kassie: Um, because I’m coming in hot.
[1:55:19] Claudia: We were on the mashups because I love the mashups, and those are like some of my top mashups. And I don't know why sometimes I can I merge these in my head because I love them both on the same level.
[1:55:29] Kassie: I'm always curious to hear what people really like about "Start Me Up / Living on a Prayer" because I really feel like there is something in that song that I would like, but I for whatever reason it's not landing.
[1:55:41] Andrew: What do you like about it?
[1:55:43] Kassie: It's like baddie girl power. Like everyone's in the outfits, like Quinn looks great, Brittany looks great, Rachel looks like you've never seen her before. Obviously, Santana looks good, but she pulls off anything. But like everybody just has a different vibe. And I don't know. I think they really did what they needed to do. They were supposed to take two boy songs and they mashed them up, and it worked. It hit for me.
[1:56:08] Claudia: Maybe you just need to like overplay it for yourself. Like when you wanted to try a food and like a food, you just gotta keep conditioning yourself on it.
[1:56:17] Kassie: It's a good yeah. I need I do because I do think it's worth the struggle.
[1:56:18] Andrew: The struggle, you know, it's um, it's like a really difficult relationship, but like we're putting the work in, you know.
[1:56:29] Kassie: There's a little bits, like at one point they all go, huh? And that really like that's the best part.
[1:56:32] Claudia: That's the best part.
[1:56:39] Kassie: It's like okay, out of context. What part of the song is that?
[1:56:44] Andrew: Now I understand what you mean.
[1:56:46] Kassie: Yes, it really is good. The vocals are good. They look great, but just like this last performance that we watched. The vocals were great.
[1:56:52] Claudia: Yeah, um, the puck dance that he did when he had his little solo. I don't know how I felt about that.
[1:56:57] Kassie: I never really a little bit endearing.
[1:57:03] Claudia: Yeah, okay. Oh, she did the saw.
[1:57:07] Kassie: I don't like when he does the—you're talking about like the thigh smash.
[1:57:12] Claudia: Well, he also does like something about like a saw, like it's more than just the—oh I don't like that. Especially like, oh god. He does it like at the beginning of like "Don't Stop Believin'" in the Glee live version. But I'm like time and place.
[1:57:26] Kassie: Yeah, don't need it.
[1:57:27] Claudia: Didn't need it. And you did it on my birthday.
[1:57:33] Kassie: Um, I really like this. I think I figured out something about this song while watching it just now.
[1:57:39] Claudia: Please share.
[1:57:39] Kassie: I think that the reason that we don't talk about this song very frequently is because it's sandwiched between two more iconic songs.
[1:57:48] Andrew: I'm gonna say.
[1:57:49] Kassie: Yeah. It's between "Faithfully" and "Don't Stop Believin'" Regionals version that it's like, it's like kind of you just kind of forget that there is anything between those iconic loaves of bread. You know what I mean?
[1:58:01] Claudia: That the iconic loaves of bread.
[1:58:05] Kassie: Iconic loaves of bread. Who cares about the meat? I'm talking about no slices of bread.
[1:58:11] Claudia: The best thing since sliced bread.
[1:58:13] Kassie: Iconic loaves.
[1:58:15] Claudia: No, actually they are loaves of bread because there's so much content there with both.
[1:58:21] Kassie: And they're dense.
[1:58:21] Claudia: And they're dense. And then it's like, oh, I kind of forgot that there was like tomato and medicine.
[1:58:29] Kassie: Yeah, right. And it's like, oh yeah, no, it's really good. It's really great cheese and turkey and all that, but just like you what you it's really hard to get past those two iconic loaves of bread.
[1:58:41] Claudia: There's not an always saying that. With the thick pieces of bread. It's like a little sliver, so all the bites are bread bites.
[1:58:46] Kassie: Right.
[1:58:47] Claudia: I was gonna say, never have I ever had a sandwich and been like, wow. I'm distracted by the bread of the contents of the—
[1:58:51] Kassie: Never had a sandwich that is two loaves of bread.
[1:58:51] Claudia: Two loaves of bread soaked in the great discography of Journey.
[1:59:10] Kassie: Yeah. I'm talking about like, you know, when you go to a restaurant and they bring out the bread, and it's like they bring up the—you know that part when you go to a restaurant.
[1:59:21] Kassie: Come on. Claps for that.
[1:59:24] Claudia: Um, but when you get the bread, and then it's like, wow, this bread is so good, and then like you get your actual meal, and it's like I kind of missed that. I wish I had more bread.
[1:59:33] Kassie: I would get more bread.
[1:59:34] Claudia: Yeah. That is everything I love bread.
[1:59:37] Kassie: Bread nice, guys. Anyone else? Anyone else do bread's nice?
[1:59:42] Claudia: Looking at you, Texas Roadhouse.
[1:59:44] Kassie: Oh, Texas Roadhouse. Come on now. You got some pretty good bread.
[1:59:49] Claudia: You know who doesn't have good bread?
[1:59:51] Kassie: I never had it.
[1:59:52] Claudia: Obviously, because it's fictional.
[1:59:54] Kassie: Breadsticks.
[1:59:55] Claudia: Breadsticks.
[1:59:57] Kassie: What the heck? Those are pretzel rods.
[1:59:59] Claudia: That's serious.
[2:00:00] Kassie: I've never had it because it's fictional.
[2:00:04] Claudia: I've never had it because it's fictional.
[2:00:06] Kassie: I just assumed.
[2:00:09] Claudia: I thought you were gonna say Olive Garden.
[2:00:11] Kassie: Oh, Olive Garden has good bread.
[2:00:15] Claudia: If it's hot.
[2:00:16] Kassie: If it's hot.
[2:00:19] Claudia: No one else is hot.
[2:00:21] Kassie: Is this mashup?
[2:00:22] Andrew: Thank you. Bringing it back.
[2:00:24] Kassie: Yeah, that's it. Are we done with the bread discourse?
[2:00:26] Claudia: No, we can keep going on the bread discourse.
[2:00:27] Kassie: I was gonna say though.
[2:00:29] Claudia: Oh, okay.
[2:00:29] Kassie: Oh no, no, it's not about bread.
[2:00:31] Claudia: It's not about the bread.
[2:00:32] Kassie: It's not.
[2:00:33] Claudia: I'm moving on.
[2:00:34] Kassie: I think that the title of up is two iconic loaves of bread. And people are gonna be like, oh, they're he's talking about the guests.
[2:00:44] Claudia: That's right. It's like they you really are two iconic loaves of bread, and it's like you kind of forget that there's anybody else here.
[2:00:52] Kassie: Yeah. Just our head and then loaves of bread. And then we can we can insert um photos of the bread and burrata we had at the Cafe Carlyle.
[2:01:04] Claudia: Because we also have the same meal. We had the same meal at Cafe Carlyle, which is an important part of the lore. Bread is kind of like our always.
[2:01:12] Kassie: I think so.
[2:01:13] Claudia: Mm-hmm.
[2:01:15] Kassie: Um, I was gonna say that I like "Any Way You Want It / Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" more than "Don't Stop" Regional's version. "Faithfully" is above it, but I like this mashup more than I think it goes in order of how it's performed, personally.
[2:01:33] Claudia: Really?
[2:01:34] Kassie: Yeah. You would say that this is the more iconic loaf of bread.
[2:01:39] Claudia: Then bread bread and then like the oil.
[2:01:44] Kassie: Don't stop and bread bread and you dip it in.
[2:01:46] Claudia: That's alright.
[2:01:47] Kassie: That's alright.
[2:01:49] Claudia: Bread bread and the oil.
[2:01:51] Kassie: No, because you know, I it kind of makes sense that you two loaves would say that about Miss Santana Lopez on the track with "Don't Stop Believin'."
[2:02:00] Kassie: No.
[2:02:01] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:02:01] Kassie: Yeah, you turned it. You turned your back on Santana earlier in this conversation.
[2:02:06] Claudia: I knew it would come back to bite me.
[2:02:07] Kassie: I knew it would come back to bite me.
[2:02:09] Claudia: I don't appreciate the slander of freedom me.
[2:02:12] Kassie: Bite my words, eat my words. My argument, you Santana to make "Marry the Night" win.
[2:02:19] Claudia: True.
[2:02:20] Kassie: Okay.
[2:02:21] Claudia: Uh, okay.
[2:02:24] Kassie: Yeah.
[2:02:25] Andrew: My—I mean, I think "Don't Stop." I just like, I'm like, yeah, it's good. It's classic, but there are other ones I would go for.
[2:02:31] Kassie: So that's what I mean. That's probably my favorite. "Don't Stop." But I like "Any Way You Want It / Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'."
[2:02:36] Claudia: I do have to.
[2:02:37] Kassie: Oh.
[2:02:38] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:02:39] Kassie: What do I want? "Don't Stop Believin'" Regional version. Legal note. Dead.
[2:02:44] Claudia: I'll neglacket.
[2:02:46] Kassie: I know I am disappointed at that. I think that was on my list.
[2:02:48] Claudia: But it lost to Rose's turn.
[2:02:51] Kassie: I feel like I need to bring this up every single time. It lost to Rose's turn.
[2:02:54] Claudia: It's okay, you guys. It's okay. I'm okay.
[2:02:56] Kassie: I'm okay. It's okay.
[2:02:59] Claudia: It's not like it lost to "All of Me," am I right?
[2:03:02] Kassie: So true. And some might be doing that.
[2:03:04] Claudia: Wait, no, that's not true.
[2:03:07] Kassie: No, I don't think they will be.
[2:03:08] Claudia: No, they won't be. That's not true. "All of Me" is taking it.
[2:03:10] Kassie: Come on. It's out.
[2:03:12] Claudia: Um, I feel like I got something else to say. Oh. The poses at the end made me want to cry.
[2:03:19] Kassie: Oh, I love the squeeze.
[2:03:22] Claudia: So cute. They all look like they had so much fun during this too. So I think that adds to it. Like, there was one shot of Jenna, and she has the biggest smile on her face, and it is the cutest like smile, and they're all happy, and then they go into "Don't Stop," and then Quinn has her baby and it's all fun. And then Jonathan Groff just had to come along and sing this killer version of one of the most killer songs that Quinn's giving birth to during, and one of the very good songs she's giving birth to.
[2:03:54] Kassie: I love it.
[2:03:54] Claudia: I agree. Sometimes I prefer to listen to the version where she's screaming along with it.
[2:03:58] Kassie: Yes.
[2:04:00] Claudia: Suck you, suck you, suck.
[2:04:01] Kassie: Yeah.
[2:04:03] Claudia: I think isn't that what she said to you?
[2:04:11] Kassie: I'm sorry, that's so mean.
[2:04:14] Claudia: No, if she said that to me, I would like. I would love for it to be that impassioned.
[2:04:18] Kassie: The indifference is what kills me.
[2:04:20] Claudia: She did boss us around. So we're like, yeah, she said, keep me the phone. I'll take the phone. I'm taking this picture. God, Anna. I haven't stopped loving her though.
[2:04:30] Kassie: Uh, I want to say, Cassie, you said that your MVP of this performance was Jenna. I feel like to me, all eyes are always on Heather.
[2:04:38] Claudia: That's what I'm saying.
[2:04:39] Kassie: She looks, she's doing it all. Heather's like bobbin up. She's like just like really like she's elevating off of the ground, I feel. She's just like it's—and I think that the bump it really extra works on her for some reason.
[2:04:51] Claudia: It's high.
[2:04:51] Kassie: She's getting volume for sure. It made me want to find my bumpets. But I know they are somewhere.
[2:04:57] Claudia: Yeah. She's giving Jesse St. James show face.
[2:04:58] Kassie: I was just watching that episode where Adina Menzel goes, "Jesse, show me your show face." And I was doing it.
[2:05:07] Claudia: I wanted to cure cancer.
[2:05:09] Kassie: Yeah. I want, I want let's smile so optimistic, it'll cure cancer.
[2:05:13] Claudia: Shelby.
[2:05:14] Kassie: Yeah, she was doing it.
[2:05:15] Claudia: That's scared on Glee. Um, saying it. I know it's a joke, but that's a bold joke.
[2:05:23] Kassie: That's a little bit political.
[2:05:27] Claudia: Okay. I thought we were having fun here.
[2:05:30] Kassie: Um, vote for me.
[2:05:40] Claudia: Vote for me, Rachel.
[2:05:41] Kassie: What?
[2:05:42] Claudia: Oh, sorry, I'm making a reference. I guess it doesn't work on a Glee podcast.
[2:05:45] Kassie: You know the show it to me, Rachel.
[2:05:47] Claudia: Show it to me, please.
[2:05:49] Kassie: I don't think I do.
[2:05:51] Claudia: You don't know that video of—okay.
[2:05:53] Kassie: I—no, as you're saying that I'm picturing the guy in the boat yelling to Sarah that's like sinking.
[2:05:58] Claudia: There's like—okay, there's—I'm picturing Jacob Ben Israel.
[2:06:02] Kassie: Show me to me.
[2:06:03] Claudia: Okay. The first thing when I typed show and the letter I was show it to me, Rachel.
[2:06:04] Kassie: Show it to me.
[2:06:09] Claudia: Oh, yeah. I have seen this. I have seen this.
[2:06:11] Kassie: Okay, wait. Can you share your screen to show Cassie?
[2:06:14] Claudia: Thanks a lot, you idiot.
[2:06:16] Kassie: That's something else.
[2:06:16] Claudia: Thanks. Also, Rachel.
[2:06:19] Kassie: Child is working on your iPad instead of mine.
[2:06:22] Claudia: Oh, share sound. Jesus, it was seen.
[2:06:26] Kassie: Where, Rachel?
[2:06:27] Claudia: Oh my god. Show me to me, please.
[2:06:31] Kassie: Send it to me, Rachel.
[2:06:32] Claudia: It was literally seen in Ohio.
[2:06:35] Kassie: Please send it to me.
[2:06:37] Claudia: Oh no, please.
[2:06:39] Kassie: Oh my god.
[2:06:40] Claudia: Okay, Rachel.
[2:06:41] Kassie: Which one?
[2:06:43] Claudia: Send it to me, baby.
[2:06:44] Kassie: No. Which one is it on TikTok?
[2:06:49] Claudia: Mommy, I'm kidding.
[2:06:51] Kassie: Rachel.
[2:06:52] Claudia: Rachel, don't do that.
[2:06:55] Kassie: Wow. She did her dirty.
[2:06:58] Claudia: Um, that brings up a really good point that I've been wanting to make on this Glee podcast. I feel like there's so many elements of that video that lend itself to the hitbox show Glee, the Rachel of it all, and also was seen in Ohio. And I'm like, I don't actually know what to do with this audio to make it make sense with Glee's. So if you're listening to this episode, also Jesus T Jesus, grill cheeses. There's something to be done there. I don't know. I need a really good thought out um proposal on what to do with that audio. Anyway.
[2:07:33] Kassie: I'll start thinking.
[2:07:34] Claudia: Show me to me, please.
[2:07:37] Kassie: She's like in tears, like crying.
[2:07:39] Claudia: What you called her baby.
[2:07:42] Kassie: What is it on TikTok?
[2:07:44] Claudia: Like begging. Like if she wasn't on the couch, she would have been on her knees.
[2:07:48] Kassie: Where, Rachel?
[2:07:50] Claudia: Um, it made me feel icky.
[2:07:52] Kassie: Um, you didn't like it?
[2:07:54] Claudia: Come on. That's iconic.
[2:07:56] Kassie: I liked it. It was funny.
[2:07:58] Claudia: Um, okay, so back to square one. Vote for me, Rachel.
[2:08:03] Kassie: That was what I was referencing.
[2:08:07] Claudia: Okay. Are we voting? Is that what this?
[2:08:11] Kassie: Okay, yeah. I'm voting for "Any Way You Want It / Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'."
[2:08:15] Claudia: So you're voting for Rachel.
[2:08:19] Kassie: As well. It's I'm looking at my top 25 that I put on my Google Doc at work today. And that's number 11.
[2:08:27] Claudia: Wow.
[2:08:28] Kassie: Wow. You didn't lead with that.
[2:08:30] Claudia: Sorry. I thought I said that when it started. I was saying it's in my top 10, but that wasn't true.
[2:08:35] Kassie: Oh, it's my number 11 on my list, which keeps changing all the time. But I love that one. And I it is quintessential Glee to me. It is beautiful season one Glee. It's my sweet little babies just having a ball, having a ball on that stage.
[2:08:51] Claudia: The bumpets.
[2:08:54] Kassie: I don't know. It's not in my top ten, but maybe it should be, because I do really like that one.
[2:08:58] Claudia: It's eleven.
[2:08:59] Kassie: It's eleven. It's a great arrangement as well. Um, that's all six songs for this episode.
[2:09:09] Kassie: Um we had one good fight. That was a good fight. Um that was a really good song to get to see. I'm feeling really blessed.
[2:09:17] Claudia: Which one which which one are you talking about?
[2:09:19] Kassie: Anyone any way you want it?
[2:09:21] Claudia: Oh, anyway you want it. I think we got a lot of good ones, except for the flop that we all know what the flop was.
[2:09:27] Kassie: Yeah.
[2:09:27] Claudia: Right. I really wanted to make a fart noise about it.
[2:09:30] Kassie: To um recap this episode, rolling in the deep is rolling in the deep dark crevices of hella.
[2:09:37] Claudia: Rolling in its grave.
[2:09:39] Kassie: It's it rolls rolling in the right, rolling in its grave. Um never to be seen again.
[2:09:45] Claudia: And Touch a Touch A Touch Me is Touch a Touch A Touching Round Three of The Glackett.
[2:09:53] Kassie: Science Fiction Double Feature is a Oh, science fiction double feature. It's not getting a third.
[2:10:00] Claudia: Oh, you're not getting yeah, you're not getting a third feature.
[2:10:03] Kassie: Right. I was gonna say you go into round three.
[2:10:07] Claudia: There's something science fiction about that.
[2:10:10] Kassie: That's good. Um Merry the Night, you are Merry the Night and your honeymoon, round three.
[2:10:18] Claudia: Um did you not like that one?
[2:10:21] Kassie: Your responses are I like that one.
[2:10:24] Claudia: Okay. Um all of all of me.
[2:10:28] Kassie: It hates all hates all your curves in all your edges.
[2:10:37] Claudia: Um anyway you want it. Love and touch and squeeze in. If I were to have it my way, if it if you were like anyway you you want it, Andrew, anyway you want it, love and touch and squeeze in is going to round three.
[2:10:51] Kassie: And it is.
[2:10:56] Claudia: Squeeze in. I'm gonna give you a squeeze any way you want it. I was trying to make that work too, and it everything that was gonna come out was awful, so I just stopped short of my sentence.
[2:11:07] Kassie: This is another song with touch in the title.
[2:11:10] Claudia: Oh, yeah.
[2:11:11] Kassie: So two touches.
[2:11:13] Claudia: Two touches. There were a few. Touch me. Just like the Spring Awakening. Come on now.
[2:11:20] Kassie: Come on now. Um.
[2:11:22] Claudia: Okay, so Cassia, I understand that you at least have songs that you would like to present as songs that they would be doing in the hitbox choke glee if it were still in the air, which it definitely isn't.
[2:11:36] Kassie: I um yes, I do. I don't know why I said it like that. Yes, I do. Um, so one thing I do have to catch up on the newest episode. Has anyone brought up tortured poets department yet?
[2:11:49] Claudia: I don't think so.
[2:11:51] Kassie: There is a lot to be said there. I know that Claudia and I have different um opinions on that as of right now. Uh, but it has turned into my favorite album.
[2:11:59] Claudia: So wow.
[2:12:01] Kassie: Yeah, very quick. Wow, wow, wow. Like when I first listened to it, I was like, oh, that could that's a pass. But now it's like every boom, boom. Like the cars around me and traffic are getting sick of me. But I think um, but Daddy, I love him is very quin and racial coded. So they would absolutely do that.
[2:12:16] Claudia: Um down bad.
[2:12:19] Kassie: I'm sorry.
[2:12:19] Claudia: No, it's okay. Go ahead.
[2:12:21] Kassie: I was gonna say I feel like that's like season season two when they're like fighting over Finn.
[2:12:25] Claudia: Yep.
[2:12:26] Kassie: I see that really good.
[2:12:27] Claudia: That's good. I don't know any of these songs for context.
[2:12:29] Kassie: It really hit me.
[2:12:30] Claudia: Oh, you're I've seven on them at some point. Sorry. Um, and I think that uh down bad would be Brittany, like during the breakup, like crying at the gym. I think that that would definitely be her.
[2:12:42] Kassie: Um I'll save it any more tortured post department because I'm sure that more people will bring it up, but I think that they would definitely do a lot of that. One thing that nobody's really said enough of is Halsey. I think that they would have done a lot of Halsey.
[2:12:56] Claudia: I think Nightmare specifically would have been a very like girl power coded episode. Um I can't think of one like off the top of my head that it would work in, but I think that they would have done Halsey. Nightmare specifically, I think Honey would have been a Santana or Brittany song, or maybe uh um duet between them. Uh, because she didn't she came out like right as Glee was ending, so they wouldn't have done it, but I think that there's a lot to be explored there.
[2:13:22] Kassie: Whenever somebody brings up Halsey, my mind immediately goes to her singing um in the mall. You know the video? Where are you?
[2:13:28] Claudia: And I am so sorry.
[2:13:31] Kassie: Sorry. I just played that for someone this weekend. She had never seen it before.
[2:13:34] Claudia: Who's singing that on Glee?
[2:13:37] Kassie: I know that's not a Halsey song. Blink one eighty two.
[2:13:40] Claudia: Oh Plink182 is gonna audition for the Kurtz Madonna cover band Pamela Lansbury. And uh and they're gonna sing Halsey's version.
[2:13:52] Kassie: Wow.
[2:13:52] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:13:53] Kassie: Yeah, specifically the Halsey's version.
[2:13:55] Claudia: Such a good video.
[2:13:57] Kassie: Such a good video. It's really great.
[2:13:59] Claudia: Yeah. Sorry to interrupt Cassie.
[2:14:01] Kassie: No, that's totally fine because it fit exactly what needed to happen. It was Halsey lore. Um, but I think that another one that no I don't think anyone's mentioned her, Lauren Spencer Smith. She has a lot of good like ballads, and I think a lot of her songs are really racial coded. So like Flowers or All I Want. But the Lauren Spencer Smith version, not the high school musical, musical the series version.
[2:14:26] Claudia: What?
[2:14:27] Kassie: Yeah, there's a lot of words. All I want is um, it's from the first season of a high school musical and musical series.
[2:14:34] Claudia: Oh, that one is love that last.
[2:14:36] Kassie: Yeah, yeah, but Lauren Spencer Smith did a version of it.
[2:14:38] Claudia: So I don't know her.
[2:14:40] Kassie: She's she's pretty pretty, pretty good. I like her. Her songs are kind of sad, so you gotta be in a certain mood to listen to them, or they're gonna make you sad. But um, I also think that Espresso would have been a kitty and quinn solo, or not solo duet. Like they would have dueted when they were had them come in and they were like mentoring them, they would have popped off on that.
[2:15:02] Claudia: Okay. I could see that.
[2:15:03] Kassie: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. They're having fun. That's good.
[2:15:06] Claudia: Having fun. I like it. And we needed more ABBA for the recording course.
[2:15:12] Kassie: We definitely need more ABBA. And actually, a sick, sick way that they could have fit that in. And I even hate that I'm gonna say it. I might have already said it. I don't know. Does your mother know would have fit perfectly into the Shelby arc of it all with Shelby and Puck? And it would have been sick and awful, but it would have worked. Kind of like, don't stand so close to me. Um, whatever that mashup is with great show. Where it just works, but it's like at what cost. Like you're like, oh, I don't like that, but maybe I do. But I really I don't like any of the things.
[2:15:43] Claudia: You're kind of slaying with the song selection here.
[2:15:45] Kassie: Yeah. I like it. I don't like it, but I like it.
[2:15:48] Claudia: Thank you very much, Cassie.
[2:15:50] Kassie: Yeah, Claudia. You the floor is yours.
[2:15:55] Claudia: He said reluctantly, you uh suck you suck. You suck you suck you suck.
[2:16:07] Kassie: Um at 10 30 at night. I have a long day at work tomorrow.
[2:16:11] Claudia: Um but I'm happy to be here. Um I was thinking my version of like, you know, they should have done more ABBA is I think it's really insane that they only did one Joni Mitchell song. I think River, yeah. Why why why stop there?
[2:16:27] Kassie: Yeah, weird choice.
[2:16:28] Claudia: I mean, they could have done a whole I mean blue would have been a wonderful album to do. Yeah, I think that's one of my favorite albums ever. Um, I didn't really think of like specific things, but I think Santana would have one of my favorite songs ever is All I Want by Jody Mitchell. And I think that would have been a beautiful Santana to Brittany a la like mine kind of Cassie. Didn't you just say a song called All I Want?
[2:16:52] Kassie: Yes, but it is different.
[2:16:54] Claudia: But it's different. Yeah. Wow. Okay. This is a different album. Kind of mm meeting of the minds of all the.
[2:17:00] Kassie: Maybe it would have been a mashup.
[2:17:03] Claudia: That would have been insane. Smash a Joni Mitchell Olivia Rodrigo moment.
[2:17:08] Kassie: It's not outside of the possibilities.
[2:17:10] Claudia: Lady Singer Songwriters. Could be it's could be not above them.
[2:17:15] Kassie: It's surely not. Um one of my favorite like contemporary artists is Maggie Rogers.
[2:17:21] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:17:21] Kassie: That won't that land for anybody? She just released a fun album. Um that is kind of like similarly folky country influences in the same like time period as Cowboy Carter. I feel like they could have done like a a similar, like maybe like a follow-up later of like, I don't know, maybe Quinn or Rachel wants to do like a really white version of doing like a country pop, something or other. And they do Maggie Rogers.
[2:17:50] Claudia: Yeah, they do Maggie Rogers. She's not country pop, that's unfair, but that whole album's really fun. Um and I can see like a like a Quinn Santana vocal on a song like um Don't Forget Me is the like title song of that album. Sorry, this is probably not gonna land for anybody, but no, I mean I'm like thinking about you mentioned Quin Santana, which made me think about Santana Rachel, and I like when you were talking about like Joni Mitchell, I'm like both sides now for some reason is like striking me as like a really beautiful Pesberry development.
[2:18:24] Kassie: Ooh, I love that.
[2:18:26] Claudia: Kick out be okay and give us both sides of the world.
[2:18:28] Kassie: Yeah, that's really nice. That would be really actually in that same context. I like that a lot.
[2:18:33] Claudia: Right. And it'd be more of like emotional resolution instead of just like one cold beer.
[2:18:41] Kassie: Yeah.
[2:18:43] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:18:44] Kassie: Yeah. My other one is that they should have done more TLC. Although all the TLC they do is excellent. Obviously. Unpretty. Well, no scrubs is kind of weird.
[2:18:53] Claudia: Well, actually, yeah.
[2:18:55] Kassie: But never mind. Give us something else.
[2:18:58] Claudia: I don't want that.
[2:18:58] Kassie: I don't want that.
[2:19:00] Claudia: The face drop when she said that.
[2:19:02] Kassie: Like the finger was ready. Like, hold on.
[2:19:04] Claudia: Um, never mind. I take that back. Give us give us literally anything else for no scrubs. That would be fine. Give me.
[2:19:11] Kassie: Is it bad if I listen to that sometimes?
[2:19:15] Claudia: It is.
[2:19:15] Kassie: No.
[2:19:16] Claudia: Oh.
[2:19:18] Kassie: No, it is.
[2:19:20] Claudia: All I need I needed a Mary James Santana vocal for any TLC song. Really. I want Creep.
[2:19:25] Kassie: I want Creep San Sadies. I'm seeing San Sadies Creep.
[2:19:31] Claudia: That's what I was thinking in my mind. No, I'm not talking about creep glycasters and Mike Glee Cast Radiohead cover. And I'm talking I'm talking about So I creep.
[2:19:40] Kassie: Yeah.
[2:19:41] Claudia: Yeah.
[2:19:43] Kassie: Anyway. Thank you so much for being Gleeks this week. Um, is there any final notes that you would like to leave the glisteners with? Any social media or anything that you would like to plug where they can find you.
[2:19:53] Kassie: Yeah, I don't really no one needs to follow me. It's just I I don't I don't post much other than some weird things on my story sometimes, but if you hate anything that I wanted to say, I could fight. So it's Cassie, I think, underscore to follow as my Instagram. That's all I'll give out if you want it.
[2:20:11] Claudia: But oh yeah.
[2:20:12] Kassie: Oh yeah.
[2:20:12] Claudia: Hello.
[2:20:13] Kassie: It's there.
[2:20:14] Claudia: Yeah, I mean, my Instagram, we can we can be glee friends. I feel like I followed a lot of various gleeks of the week's. Um my my Instagram is the D K L I N C K.
[2:20:27] Kassie: Um C D Clink.
[2:20:30] Claudia: And I also have an Instagram. I was thinking, I was thinking about this if I would promote my personal Instagram or not. I have a public Instagram where I post like um I like to do a lot of crafting and scrapbooking and movie journaling. And that's Claudia Gets Crafty.
[2:20:44] Kassie: Claudia gets crafty.
[2:20:46] Claudia: Yeah. It's in my my normal Instagram bio also. But um I have noticed that yeah, some some Geks have followed your account. I'm really happy that it's a good follow. I really both both of you are great follows.
[2:21:00] Kassie: I'm not sure. I'm definitely chronically on Instagram. Claudia, that that there were some we got some more mutuals than I than I would thought. I was like, wow, okay. I'm glad that these two these people connected.
[2:21:13] Claudia: Um yeah, I'm feeling very blessed about it. It makes me feel really good that um you don't just exist in my brain and I didn't make you up. You as a royal, as a royal, you gleeks um people participate in this podcast.
[2:21:26] Kassie: Oh, are you both going to Glee Dollar Bill or either one of you going to Glee Dollar Bill?
[2:21:31] Claudia: Yes, I am. I bought my ticket.
[2:21:32] Kassie: Yes, I am.
[2:21:33] Claudia: Oh like that first round.
[2:21:35] Kassie: Me too. I'm very excited because I didn't get to go last time.
[2:21:38] Claudia: Um, so I funny story, I actually bought my tickets the last time, was ready to go, and the person that I was going to go with once it hit like five o'clock, it was time to start heading down because we were gonna drive from my house.
[2:21:51] Kassie: Um, and I do not live near Brooklyn, so it would have been like a two hour drive. And they're just like, um, I don't really want to go anymore. And I had already pregamed a little. I was like, oh, so you couldn't drive. I guess I'm not.
[2:22:02] Claudia: Oh no.
[2:22:03] Kassie: Yeah. Well be you're you'll be going this time.
[2:22:06] Claudia: Yeah, I'm very excited. Wait, who are you going? Do you do you have a do you have a plan?
[2:22:11] Kassie: I have no plan, Rain. Let's hang out, let's hang out.
[2:22:13] Claudia: Yes, please.
[2:22:14] Kassie: And I have Aaron to Bait the next day at the Carlisle. So it's gonna be a New York weekend.
[2:22:18] Claudia: Oh, weekend. You're gonna spend one million dollars that weekend.
[2:22:21] Kassie: No. I hope not for your sake.
[2:22:25] Claudia: Um, but if you do, have fun. We'll be a good time. Money comes back. Glee Dollar Bill is happening Friday, June 21st at 10 p.m. at $3 Bill in Brooklyn.
[2:22:36] Kassie: Um, and guess what? I am considered a host of this damn event.
[2:22:45] Claudia: And um Claudia and I actually met at this event, and so I think that it's like it's a true testament that if you would like to meet fellow Gleeks, you can. This is the place to do it.
[2:22:56] Kassie: Um, and there will be a lot of really fun drag performances, and it will be great. And I would love please let me know if you're coming because I would love to say hi.
[2:23:06] Claudia: Um anyway, that has been another episode. I'm feeling like I really feel like I was just hit by a truck. I'm ready to go to bed, you know what I mean?
[2:23:13] Kassie: Um but uh thank you so much again for being cliques this week. And um, guess what? There's gonna be another episode next week.
[2:23:21] Claudia: Okay, bye.
