[0:00] Andrew McGuire: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee.
[0:09] Andrew McGuire: There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me.
[0:18] Andrew McGuire: Gleek it by Gleek it, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one.
[0:26] Andrew McGuire: Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.
[0:35] Andrew McGuire: Hello and welcome to some bonus content in between Round 3 and Round 4 of The Glackett.
[0:43] Andrew McGuire: As stated in the Round 3 finale, I asked the loyal patrons of this very podcast to nominate one song of their choosing that has been eliminated from The Glackett to be eligible to come back into Round 4. There have been 38 songs selected. Okay, so this is how it's going to work. Each week between now and the beginning of Round 4, which premieres publicly on June 2nd, each week there will be a vote that is only for patrons of this podcast. So if you want to vote on these competitions, you can go to patreon.com slash Gleek of the Week pod and we'll be taking a look at the 28 songs, dividing them in half, then following week 14, so on and so forth until the premiere of Round 4, where it is announced who has won, which song has won the ultimate vote back and will be participating in Round 4. Some fun content, some mini content between rounds.
[1:55] Andrew McGuire: Okay, so here's how it's going to work. I'm going to be pulling the songs out of a cup right now and those will be the matchups that patrons of this podcast can vote on. So let's get started with this first competition. First competition features Come What May and it is against More Than a Feeling.
[2:16] Andrew McGuire: Okay, next competition, Poker Face against, oh, Don't Stop Believing, a regionals version. That one hurts me bad.
[2:32] Andrew McGuire: Then up next we have Beauty School Dropout, Amelia's pick, against Loser Like Me, of course, the season two version. Up next we have Losing My Religion against Love Song. Love Song keeps coming back.
[2:48] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have Uninvited against I Can't Go Over That You Make My Dreams. After that we have Chasing Pavements versus Getting Married Today.
[3:04] Andrew McGuire: After that we have Give It a Good Shake. Come on. Let's see what's next. It's not coming out. Here it is. Break Away, very early loss of the Glackett versus Born This Way.
[3:23] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have Vogue versus Let Me Love You Until You Learn to Love Yourself, the Jake solo, not to be confused with the Artolo. Next up we have The Bitch is Back, Dress You Up, a recent loss versus Home, another recent loss, Home, the season six version, of course.
[3:40] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have Start Me Up, Living Younger Prayer versus Baby It's Cold Outside. Two claim coded songs, if you know, you know. Okay, next up we have We Are Young versus For Once in My Life, Artolo lost in round one.
[3:56] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have It's All Coming Back to Me Now versus I Want to Hold Your Hand. Oh my god, that's actually awful. Rollover over like kind of a premiere rollover versus a premiere colo.
[4:10] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have To Love You More versus Root Before Branches, both from finales, season finales. After that we have My Life Would Suck Without You versus On My Own, the beginning of season 1A and the very end of season 1A. Interesting.
[4:26] Andrew McGuire: Next up we have Not The Boy Next Door versus I Lived. After that we have Creep versus Alfie. Only a few more competitions here.
[4:42] Andrew McGuire: Every Breath You Take versus It's All Over. Every Breath You Take, I miss you so much. I know, I hope you're listening. I still haven't found what I'm looking for versus Don't Speak.
[4:55] Andrew McGuire: And then the final competition is The Trolley Song, of course, versus Don't Dream It's Over. So again, if you would like to vote on these competitions, have one of these songs come back, whatever you're rooting for, for round four of the Glackett. You can do so by going to patreon.com slash Gleek of the Week pod. I would so appreciate it. I put a lot of time and effort into this podcast and so to be financially supported by y'all in this effort to find the best song on Glee is so appreciated and I really appreciate you all. I know I just used that word, but come on now, I can't say it enough.
[5:34] Andrew McGuire: Okay, and these will be little weekly releases. I will be updating y'all on how these songs are doing and I'm so excited to see which song gets brought back for round four and also just for round four in general. So until then, I'll see you next week with updates on how we're doing. Okay, see you then. Bye! It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.
