But speaking to Kurt, I really like his voice and I feel like in season one they found a lot of moments for his voice to really just kind of make sense. It was like this little gay boy is singing the song and it's funny and cute and good and whatever and he sounds good and then I feel like when they would try to put his voice into pop tracks or they give him some other material in the later seasons, I was like, I know I like your voice, I just don't like it in this song, but I feel like most of season one I liked what they chose for him to sing and I like this song quite a bit from the perspective of, I think Kurt sings it pretty well. I think the Finn vocal is atrocious and the cringiest shit on the face of the planet and I feel that way unfortunately about quite a few Finn vocal moments throughout the series but especially in season one where I'm like please don't sing this right now.

I just want to say to my point I think the reason that it sounds like this is that the Dionne Warwick song is not the same as REO Speedwagon. That it's like okay we know him as like a classic rock sort of guy that when he gets on the Dionne Warwick track it's not going to sound like Dionne Warwick in the same way that it sounds like with Kurt.

Yeah I mean sure I totally see where you're coming from and that's probably a large part of like the intention of like why they did it but like just from what my ears want to hear that's not quite it and I feel like it would have been similarly effective for the scene maybe not for illustrating the point of like the different vocal styles they're trying to do but like it could have just been a Kurt solo and like Finn could have been like it could have been staged where he was looking at the urn and the chair and like you know being really contemplative. I don't like hate it it's just kind of like I was listening to the song and I was kind of like well season one Kurt like they chose some like you know interesting songs for him and then Finn is like screeching and I'm like oh yeah anyway so but overall I like the song a few of my other notes were I always forget that Puck mouths you're gay to Finn so funny and then I put I can survive on season one Britannia crumbs for the rest of my life so wild it's like crazy this the stock footage Britannia that like it that feels like such like a clip that can be placed in there watching any performance you know what I mean that it's like I don't even know have the words like because like home the Rory solo in season three is like also home to a like a very famous stock footage Britannia reaction that it's like you would never assume that you would find a gem like that in that performance and yet there it is and I'm just you know that was a silver lining for sure I really like this performance I think I feel like I do.

It's a solid Kurt number that shows off his vocals, shows off his kind of... he's like a very sensitive guy that kind of puts his heart out on his sleeve and that makes him a really great performer and singer and member of this club.
