[0:58] ♪ Musical number: "Friendly Neighborhood Something or Other" — performed by Ian Brodsky ♪

[1:20] Ian Brodsky: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee.

[1:29] Ian Brodsky: There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me.

[1:38] Ian Brodsky: Glacket by Glacket, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one.

[1:46] Ian Brodsky: Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.

[1:55] Ian Brodsky: Oh my god, Alison Alamode. How are you doing?

[1:58] Alison Alamode: Hello, hello. I'm good. How are you? I miss you.

[2:02] Ian Brodsky: Oh my god, it's been really too long. I can't believe this is...

[2:05] Alison Alamode: It has.

[2:06] Ian Brodsky: This is round three debut for you.

[2:09] Alison Alamode: It is.

[2:10] Ian Brodsky: How is everything going?

[2:11] Alison Alamode: I mean, it's great. It was an honor to be on the second to last round two episode.

[2:17] Ian Brodsky: Oh, which was crazy. Santolo v. Santolo.

[2:21] Alison Alamode: I was explaining it to my friend who was very casual. Don't even think she finished the series.

[2:27] Alison Alamode: And I was like, I have to tell you about this competition. It was very emotional.

[2:32] Alison Alamode: And it was like, we didn't even vote. It was like, but yeah.

[2:37] Ian Brodsky: Yeah, it was Nutbush City Limits v. Back to Black. My Man? Oh, wait, no.

[2:44] Alison Alamode: No, wait, yes.

[2:45] Ian Brodsky: Wait, what happened here? Now I forget.

[2:47] Alison Alamode: It was my... If I Die Young.

[2:51] Ian Brodsky: If I Die Young v. My Man?

[2:53] Alison Alamode: v. My Man.

[2:55] Ian Brodsky: Back to Black v. Nutbush City Limits. And what was the other competition?

[3:01] Alison Alamode: Oh my gosh, wait, I have the voting.

[3:03] Alison Alamode: Wait, wait, wait.

[3:04] Alison Alamode: Whenever I record with you, I have all these windows open.

[3:07] Ian Brodsky: I know. I make everybody do too much homework. I'm so sorry.

[3:12] Alison Alamode: No, I love it.

[3:13] Alison Alamode: Oh, Summer Nights v. My Love is Your Love. People were big time mad about that one.

[3:18] Ian Brodsky: Okay, and actually, as I was doing my due diligence and looking at all my past episodes, and even just re-listening to some of your episodes, and people still talk about competitions that I've tried to go up for, like the My Love is Your Love, the How to Be a Heartbreaker, and Shout. So just, I feel validated that some of the gleeks are on my side.

[3:40] Ian Brodsky: Oh, wait, remind me, because Shout v. How to Be a Heartbreaker, where did you fall on that?

[3:46] Alison Alamode: I tried to defend How to Be a Heartbreaker, and I tried to, like, tear down Shout. It is not that girl. And I even used Matt as an example, because Matt is the person who made me, like, change my mind about that song, and made me appreciate it.

[4:03] Ian Brodsky: That was with your episode with Connor at the very beginning of round two.

[4:07] Alison Alamode: And you were the only, I'm looking at Elijah, Shout out, Elijah is in this episode, in this live stream episode. And yes, you were the only vote for How to Be a Heartbreaker.

[4:17] Ian Brodsky: We shouted you out, out the door.

[4:19] Alison Alamode: And I was like, you guys, the Shout is not for 500 episode, or 500 performance? No.

[4:26] Ian Brodsky: Was that? That was 400. 500?

[4:32] Alison Alamode: Wait, am I making this? What was? 400 was Paradise. You're right. 500 was Shout.

[4:39] Ian Brodsky: 500 was Shout. And it was just this, like, what are we even? I guess we're just showing up to work today and hoping.

[4:46] Alison Alamode: I don't know. It's just like, I look back and like, yeah, How to Be a Heartbreaker. That was a really tough competition. Looking back, I'm like, I really feel like, dependent on the day. I could go either way. Because, like, How to Be a Heartbreaker, you get the full camp.

[4:58] Alison Alamode: That it's like.

[4:58] Ian Brodsky: You do. It's so cinematic.

[5:00] Alison Alamode: Yeah. I love the Lea Michele in front of the broken window.

[5:05] Alison Alamode: And yes, I think what works against it is the same thing that worked against Marry the Night, is that it's like, well, they're not, well, even though Rachel's in it for a little bit, but it's not featuring main cast. But I think it still should be appreciated.

[5:18] Ian Brodsky: Sure, sure, sure. Speaking of past competitions, grievances, what's going on with you?

[5:25] Alison Alamode: I do have grievances. Let me pull up my notes.

[5:30] Alison Alamode: I did only, I took a few notes. I only had a couple of grievances.

[5:35] Alison Alamode: And I think in all caps, I wrote being alive over Thriller.

[5:39] Ian Brodsky: Okay, people are really mad about this. And I kind of do feel bad. But like, I do kind of stand on what I said on the episode that like, it's like kind of like, trying too hard to appeal to, I don't know, maybe I'm like, stepping too hard into it. It's trying too hard to like, appeal to normies and like, dare I say, kind of like straight people. I don't know.

[5:53] Alison Alamode: I think that they had a job to do. And they did it because you could have either gone super like, it could have been like, Puck and Rachel singing Need You Now in the same episode, which was a choice. Because I was like, if you're trying to appeal to a football team, why would you pick this song? But I tried to, I think I messaged you, I was like, let me like, listen to these songs and try and put myself in your shoes. So I put on being alive while I was at Trader Joe's. And I was like, okay, like, he does sound good. Don't get me wrong. I do like that rendition. It's grown on me. But then I put on Thriller, Heads Will Roll, as I was on my hot girl walk. And I'm just like, but then the mp4 is obviously different than the mp3.

[6:45] Ian Brodsky: Sure. But I don't know, I feel like it was a tough competition. I'll give you that.

[6:53] Alison Alamode: I think that I have like, have such like a soft spot for being alive as a song. Maybe not just like the Colo version specifically. But like, just like generally, I think it's just like one of the most beautiful Broadway songs that it's like a show to like, it's just I think it's just the lyrics. They hit you like a like a truck. I I'm obsessed. So Glee has been my gateway drug into a lot of theatre. And now I'm like fully immersed, which I mean, I'm ready to talk about the Tonys.

[7:22] Ian Brodsky: Oh yeah, let's talk about the Tonys. Because you did send this this document of remaining show tunes on the glacket, which I thought was hilarious.

[7:30] Alison Alamode: Listen, there are two groups of inseparable people, and they converge, there's Gleeks, and then there's theatre people. And the Venn diagram, like the middle isn't as big as you think, because there are so many Gleeks that are like, I'm not familiar with Broadway.

[7:46] Ian Brodsky: Yeah, so many people that are like, I've never seen Glee. I unfortunately live right there dead in the center.

[7:51] Alison Alamode: Perfect. You know, insufferable. I'm right there with you.

[7:56] Ian Brodsky: Audio medium. This is the document. I said, Oh, no, it's blurry. It's Sandy. Oh, no, it's blurry.

[8:00] Alison Alamode: It's Sandy Ryerson saying show tune show tunes. And it's a list. It's a list of all the remaining show tunes that in round that I have yet to be pulled around three. So

[8:12] Ian Brodsky: we how many are we how many are we looking at right now?

[8:15] Alison Alamode: I think it's 25.

[8:19] Ian Brodsky: Okay, that's a good number.

[8:22] Alison Alamode: So yeah, let's go. Let's get through it real quick.

[8:25] Alison Alamode: Well, I did. I left out the songs that are like part of jukebox musicals. Like your song, even though it's in Moulin Rouge, I feel like Ryder was singing the actual Elton John version.

[8:34] Ian Brodsky: But then after you brought up Dancing Queen, I was like, you're right. Dancing Queen is kind of just whatever.

[8:39] Alison Alamode: Dancing Queen. Yeah. But then like Mamma Mia is also Mamma Mia. But Mamma Mia wasn't that Guilty Pleasures. And they're like, can we watch Mamma Mia? So they're singing.

[8:49] Ian Brodsky: But they're doing they're doing both when they're doing Mamma Mia.

[8:52] Alison Alamode: Because the outfits are very ABBA.

[8:54] Ian Brodsky: Yeah, the Ohio side is doing ABBA. But the loft side is like we're watching the movie.

[8:58] Alison Alamode: We're watching the movie musical. So

[9:01] Ian Brodsky: so I mean, so in alphabetical order,

[9:04] Alison Alamode: okay, it is. And I am telling you I'm not going anything goes anything you can do born to hand jive. Damn it, Janet. Dancing Queen, both drops. For good getting married today. Dream to dream. I know where I've been. It's all over. Listen, Mamma Mia, my man on my own. Papa, can you hear me? Rose's turn. Seasons of love. Something's coming. Summer nights. Sweet transvestite. Take me or leave me. There are worse things and touch a touch me.

[9:33] Ian Brodsky: And one of them was pulled in the most recent episode. I don't know if you had a chance.

[9:36] Alison Alamode: And I literally didn't. I only got to the first song. So which one got pulled?

[9:42] Ian Brodsky: Okay, okay, wait, wait, wait. Now I'm forgetting exactly like, why am I like, so off my game today of like, forgetting things that literally just happened like a week ago?

[9:50] Alison Alamode: Okay, so last week, don't Santana's Drump won against Last Christmas.

[9:58] Ian Brodsky: And I watched Last Christmas. Like that was the first because that was the first song that got pulled.

[10:03] Alison Alamode: Right, right.

[10:04] Ian Brodsky: I would say when I was listening to the episodes, I did I feel like maybe I accidentally listened to them out of order. Because your announcement about taking the songs out. And I thought I like disassociated because it just goes whoosh. And I was like, wait, did we listen to the song? Like, but then like two episodes later, then your announcement was like, I have to take the songs out. But maybe I accidentally listened to them out of order.

[10:28] Alison Alamode: It was fully no, I think that what you did was correct and in order because I didn't Okay, so what happened was I'm looking at my schedule right now. So the 123456 episode of round three was the Charlie and Patrick episode. And Spotify was big time mad about that episode in particular.

[10:48] Ian Brodsky: And even though it has the same amount of songs, as every other episode less than like, you know, round two. But they were like, No, we're not even giving you a warning, we're taking it down. And so it was a whole like email back and forth of like, Hey, no, like, I took the songs out, I put like the whooshes in. And yeah, and they were like, Okay, fine. And I was like, I can't be doing this every single week. And so I just fully took them out going forward.

[11:22] Alison Alamode: And so that's so then in the next episode, then I like announced like, hey, no more songs and episodes. And that's why maybe people were like, wait a minute. Like, where?

[11:33] Ian Brodsky: Right. But I like thought like, you know, like, sometimes you just like zone out. So I was like, Oh yeah, they're discussing the song. Did I? But I don't remember hearing a song.

[11:43] Alison Alamode: Yeah. Yeah. But I kind of like it because then it like either forces people to subscribe to Patreon, or on yourself, you know, and I was like, I have heard from other people that like, they just be like, fast forwarding through the songs anyway. So I'm like, okay, like listening to the songs, because then I can I feel like I'm part of the discussion.

[12:01] Ian Brodsky: Sure, sure. Yeah, you know what, we're in round three, we got to make some changes. So you've already listened to all the songs twice over. You know, we're in round three.

[12:06] Alison Alamode: You've already heard them.

[12:12] Ian Brodsky: Before we start Tony's discussion, I do want to shout out that I did see him death becomes her last night. Incredible. Have you seen this yet?

[12:17] Alison Alamode: Yeah, I went during the first preview, or like the first week of previews. That was like, literally like call to action, like all gleeks and or gay people. Like it's just like, it's just a perfect show. I just think so funny.

[12:27] Ian Brodsky: Yeah. It is happy pride.

[12:35] Alison Alamode: Yeah, I was I need to play a pride death becomes her playbill. Like that should be it. Maybe I have one. Um, I just feel like it was like a joke per second. It was like, it was insane. It was like, on par with like Titanic, which I've obviously like shouted out so many times on this on this podcast of like, I've seen like a dozen times at this point, I'm wearing my death becomes her bracelet. When I went to New York, I made bracelets for every show we saw. And I'm wearing my death becomes her and my maybe happy ending. I love I'm upset. Did you see D Roskilde?

[13:07] Alison Alamode: I did. Yeah. So Megan Hilty was out. I saw D who I also have seen play Celine in Titanic. I forget when she was doing that. But yeah, um, yeah, I just I thought it was really great. And I saw Megan's understudy because we had tickets to second preview and it got cancelled because I don't know if Megan got injured or she had COVID. So yeah, our show got cancelled. We had to go on like two days later.

[13:30] Alison Alamode: And I saw Megan's understudy who was phenomenal for having to go on with like two days notice. This the things that they do with like the stunts in this show is so creative and so fun. Like the first time it happened. I was like, wait a minute. I didn't even see the change.

[13:48] Ian Brodsky: I watched it from the front row and didn't realize that there was a Megan like the further.

[13:54] Alison Alamode: Oh yeah, not making the Liza bit. Like, it was just so I don't know. It was so much that I didn't realize I was watching a stunt double.

[14:00] Ian Brodsky: No, like I like I turned over to realize and I was like, wait, that's insane that she can she can do that on top of everything else. And he was like, no, like, that's a different person.

[14:11] Alison Alamode: So literally, stop what you're doing and go see the show. It's so good. But wait, what were your thoughts on Tony's generally? Because last week, we've recorded it as the Tony's were happening.

[14:24] Ian Brodsky: Yes. Oh my god. Okay. I feel like I should be like cracking my knuckles and like, perfect, because this is the gleekiest glee filled Tony's that ever there was.

[14:37] Alison Alamode: Yeah, yeah. Like, we don't have enough time to talk about it. Because like, okay, obviously, like they just had they had to do Kurt numbers, like for the the reigning divas that were battling it out. The parameters for like, you have to do only exclusively colos.

[14:49] Ian Brodsky: Yeah, right. Darren Chris is hosting.

[14:57] Allyson A La Mode: And he's nominated, so we have to honor his ex-husband in a way. And also, like, of course, Starchild made an appearance. And then not only that, Jonathan Groff performed "Let's Shout Out the Glee Project," Ellis sang "Mack the Knife" on Glee Project Season 4. Oh my god, I felt like I was the only person that was thinking that as it was happening. I was like, oh, this is the only reference point I have for "Mack the Knife," Ellis.

[15:26] Unknown speaker: Me too! I was like, shout out to Ellis, "Mack the Knife." I had never even heard that song before until Ellis brought it to me.

[15:33] Allyson A La Mode: It's so funny. Yeah. Oh my gosh. But I was very excited that Darren Criss won. He's one step closer to an EGOT. And then jumpscare Criss Colfer at the after party.

[15:47] Unknown speaker: That was crazy.

[15:49] Allyson A La Mode: And he posted babies for his Tonys and I'm like, why are you there?

[15:56] Unknown speaker: Well, I think he went to, because they have like a watch party. Why do I feel like, am I making this up? MSG? They have it like at a big theater, like a watch party for people that aren't actually at Radio City.

[16:11] Allyson A La Mode: I always wonder when people post reaction videos and I'm like, where is this? Where are you? And so Criss Colfer was there. And then, I don't know, people were making jokes and saying that the restraining order has been expired between these two guys.

[16:29] Unknown speaker: Well, he went to the show and he even made a cute little caption about it.

[16:33] Allyson A La Mode: I know. And that was when you were recording last time in real time.

[16:36] Unknown speaker: Exactly. Yeah. And so, listen, what's going to happen today? What's going to happen today? They're going to get him engaged today. Watch it happen.

[16:45] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my god. But yeah, no insane. I'm trying to look at what other notes I took about it.

[16:53] Unknown speaker: Oh, I think so. I made the episode titles and just random notes that I would take throughout the episode. I think you were saying that Adam Lambert's first acting credit was Glee when he was Fiyero on the Wicked Tour. But did you just mean like on TV?

[17:12] Allyson A La Mode: I was looking at IMDB. I did think about that after the fact. And I was like, yeah, he did the Fiyero thing. Yes. Was that his first acting general credit? Do we know?

[17:25] Unknown speaker: I don't, you know, I'm not sure. I just remember I was rewatching, you know how you get lost in a YouTube rabbit hole? I was rewatching American Idol auditions. And I realized he auditioned here in San Francisco. And then he was like, oh, I just came off of Wicked. So I have acting or whatever and singing experience.

[17:41] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. Okay, so I guess and he looks really young. So I mean, yeah. And also Adam Lambert at the Damn Tonys last week. And I thought that was so funny. And I wish there was like a trifecta of like the Cynthia Erivo when she was like putting the microphone in front of like the people in the front row. It was Kristen Chenoweth, Aaron Tveit, and then Adam Lambert. I was like, I really as much as I love Aaron Tveit, I wish it was the third Glee guest star that would have like completed the Trinity. You know what I mean?

[18:11] Unknown speaker: Oh my, like, literally, I was like, pick it's a freaking like, theater full of them. So unfortunately, Patti LuPone was not available. So the biggest thing she ever did was Glee.

[18:25] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, Patrick and Charlie, I think you guys talked about when you were like, oh, what would Glee perform today? And you're like, Oh, she used to be mine by Queen. I would just like to say, every time I've been on this episode, that is what I say. Obviously, hundreds of episodes, people are going to repeat it. But I was like, I have brought this to the attention first. I said it first. I'm just saying, and then to which you said, can she sing that song?

[18:53] Unknown speaker: Literally, that's it's it runs through my mind every single time that I'm like, I the Shelby duet, that's okay. Because Quinn can sing parts of the song. And then Shelby can carry the takeover.

[19:07] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. Wouldn't that be so there's something so beautifully like cinematic about like the idea of Shelby and Quinn having this thing she used to be like, oh, I need it. Oh, need a bad. Yeah.

[19:19] Unknown speaker: So oh my gosh, okay. What else? Oh, I my notes. I hate Christmas rapping.

[19:25] Allyson A La Mode: Um, right. And it is and I'm like, Oh, God, that sucks. I've never been a Christmas rapping, girly. But uh, I know you go we're talking about cringey moments in like thriller when they're like brains brains. I also bring to the table in Hall of Fame when Joe does the little weird breakdown. I think that that's very cringey. And he's like, Wait, what do you I don't know what you're talking about. My mom and dad for this.

[19:57] Unknown speaker: Oh, no, you're talking about some nights.

[19:57] Allyson A La Mode: And honestly, is that some nights? Some? Yes. Honestly, I don't find that cringe.

[20:04] Unknown speaker: I don't mind that the way he is so earnest and likes like, and he's like, he's like, yeah, I hate I might have to fast forward that next time I watch it because no, I the brains is so much fucking worse to me. I hate brains. Brains is so Disney Channel coded in like the most you're right. Like it's so bad. It's so bad walked so zombies could run.

[20:33] Unknown speaker: So true.

[20:37] Allyson A La Mode: But um, the only thing I have to say is when I was listening to like Glee stuff at work. I work I work at a gym and there's like a counter of like how many people come in and I looked over and the counter was at 666 and then how to be a heartbreaker started playing and I was like, I'm ready to glock it. I think that was I'm ready to glock it.

[21:02] Unknown speaker: Um, is that is that the the end of your the grievances lists or something will come up because I will I'm manifesting show tune show.

[21:14] Allyson A La Mode: Of course, of course, of course, and we have 26 left. Correct.

[21:18] Unknown speaker: 2524 for not including Dancing Queen.

[21:22] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, or wait now. Wait, it's 20 to was 26 including Santana's drum.

[21:29] Unknown speaker: Oh, no. Okay, sorry. It was 25 including Santana's drum. Now it's 24.

[21:35] Allyson A La Mode: Okay, got it. Got it. Got it. Oh, man. Uh, all right. Well, I think we've effectively talked about everything that you and I could talk about. Without a third participant. We're going to bring in Dot. Hello.

[21:52] Dot: Oh, hi.

[21:53] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my god. Dot. It's so great to have you. We literally scheduled this recording specifically around your schedule because you have been campaigning for more time zone friendly live stream episodes. And so here we are. And I wanted to say and now we're talking. How are you doing?

[22:16] Dot: I'm good. I'm so excited to glock it.

[22:19] Allyson A La Mode: I want to just bring it to attention. I don't know if it's on your end as well, Alison, but it's it's it's it's like frozen on the most delightful image of you just like being like, waving.

[22:30] Dot: Pixely, but it's not frozen on my end, though.

[22:34] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, okay. Okay. All right. Well, um, Dot, uh, you know how this works. grievances. What do you have to bring to the table?

[22:44] Dot: Um, to be fair, round three overall, I've agreed with pretty much everything.

[22:48] Allyson A La Mode: Okay.

[22:49] Dot: You wouldn't be me in the Patreon group chat, though, about baby, it's cold outside. And where do you fall in the baby? It's cold outside you, you, you miss her bad.

[22:58] Allyson A La Mode: I'm devastated. Yeah, I want her. Yeah.

[23:03] Dot: So special. I don't really have like a crazy nuanced argument for her. That was just like, such a like that whole claim, like season two, like middle of season two arc. Yeah, it's like so sentimental to me. Like, I was like living in this. In that time, I was figuring out who I was and like my sexuality and it was all kind of happening like live along with like the curtain blame stuff. So yeah, that was just always a special place in my heart. And it's a tough competition with teenage dream as well.

[23:33] Allyson A La Mode: Right. And we did choose gay trauma over over gay joy.

[23:38] Dot: Yeah, I was gonna say that someone put that in the chat. Yeah.

[23:43] Allyson A La Mode: Wait, but wait, I'm curious. Okay, so you you're a Klain fan?

[23:49] Dot: Yeah, unfortunately, I am.

[23:50] Allyson A La Mode: No, that's good. Because I like I feel like desperately, what I've been like, really grappling with the claim representation. Yeah, we really have. And I don't know why it like took me over four years to realize that, like, yeah, if you were to do this kind of experiment, this podcast of doing this entire experiment of like finding the best song on Glee through a bracket system, where it's like, just like, different people every week. If there were more claim representation, then we would have a different or like cleaner representation week to week, then we would have a different remaining songs. And so I don't know, I don't know why it took me so long to kind of discover that for myself. I mean, but yeah, yeah. I mean, I think it would go a little bit differently. But also a lot of the claim duets are so bad. Shut them out. What are we thinking of? We're talking about candles that fucking one in season six, the final one. Oh, Daydream Believer.

[25:00] Allyson A La Mode: That's pretty bad. American Boy. Yeah. And this is coming from a cleaner. Story of my life. I hate it. Story of my life.

[25:04] Dot: Wait, um, that one's mid. That one's mid. What is your favorite duet then? Yeah, what's the best one?

[25:10] Allyson A La Mode: Baby It's Cold Outside.

[25:16] Dot: Oh, damn. That whole scene that has me like giggling, kicking my feet, like, yeah, it's from Smooth Criminal. I think that's got the most tension in like, any song for me. So is that the scene or what duet do you think they sound the best on? Because I mean, that's probably also Baby It's Cold Outside or Got To Get You Into My Life. I don't get it. I don't get it. Andrew was the only person to vote for Got To Get You Into My Life. And that was in my episode. And I just don't get it. I love her. Got To Get You Into My Life lost to You Can't Stop The Beat, which I'm like, correct, which just lost. Or did it win? Yeah, yeah, it did just lose. And it's out. Oh, it's too late. They're blessed. I mean, it's too later. That's the best they've ever sounded to me. Oh, that's the one for you. Yeah. Yes.

[26:02] Dot: Clayne, miss you bad. But I'm glad that we have to claim a representation. Wait, how do we feel about okay, half of Clayne being alive? Where do we fall on that competition? Because I didn't, when you were listing all the musical theatre songs, my preferred Curt and Yada moment is when he does I'm Still Here. I'm surprised that that wasn't still here.

[26:27] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, no, it is indeed not still here. And that was out in round one. I'm curious, what took I'm Still Here out? To me, I'm Still Here and Being Alive are just same, same song, different font. I'm Still Here.

[26:40] Dot: Oh, it was you get what you give, which is very okay. You can't deny. It's cute. It's cute. Yeah. So it does have the cringey, the cringey Finn dialogue, right? This is for you, Artie. And it will take care of you. Yeah. Don't when you said that Sam dialogue, the it's gone from me now one from the fun song earlier, I was actually cringing while you said.

[27:09] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, the Joe, the Joe. Yeah. I don't mind mom and dad for this. Well, when I think of like some nights, I think about like the cut. I remember I've probably brought this up before. But I remember like, the songs will come out before the episodes. And some night I listened to some nights and I was like, so excited. For a Jenna vocal where she was going to just gonna say that. Yes. Where she says like, it sounds so good on that. It sounds like a swan. So come on. I think that's like the part that she sings in the full mp3. But they cut it right before in the in the episode version. And so we don't get to see her sing it in the episode.

[27:50] Dot: So is she not the woman? I wouldn't believe that.

[27:55] Allyson A La Mode: I feel like that's Kitty and Marley.

[27:59] Dot: Oh, you know what? You're probably right. You're probably right. You know, it's so funny. We watched Elias and I like got home late a few weeks ago. And we watched dynamic duets, obviously. And there's a lyric, obviously, we throw on dynamic duets. And, and so at the end of the episode, when they sing some nights, Kitty has the line where she talks about her net like having like the lyric with the fun lyric is like having like my nephew I look into my nephew's eyes. Right? Do you know about this? I look into my nephew's eyes. And you wouldn't believe the most amazing thing. This is the stupidest Glee conversation that we could possibly ever have. But out of all of the Glee club, who is the most aunt or uncle coded? Because to me, it makes sense that Kitty has a nephew.

[29:00] Allyson A La Mode: Canonically. You think so? I feel like Kitty has an older sister.

[29:09] Dot: We're continuing the Kitty discourse again this week. Right? Kitty, Kitty has an older sister, who has a son. Therefore, Kitty has a nephew. I mean, he's gonna be a sibling. It's for sure the younger one. Like, yeah, the older one at all. But is there anybody else that like kind of gives like, aunt or uncle coded like very young on her uncle?

[29:26] Allyson A La Mode: Rory.

[29:28] Dot: Oh, Rory. That's a good representation. Yes.

[29:35] Allyson A La Mode: I think puck also gives little brother energy as well. I know he's older brother, which is okay. Sure. Yeah. But I think like, weird, like, fucked up uncle, but he's the younger, like you said, older sister has children. Yeah, I could see that. Like, what's that movie with Paul?

[29:54] Andrew: And it's like our brother that that's like the fuck up that's Puck.

[29:59] Dot: That's Puck. I don't know what movie you're talking about.

[30:02] Elijah: It's like a movie and it's like our brother. I don't know. It's a bad. It's probably a bad movie. To be honest, if I can't remember the title. Unique gives auntie vibes. Is that what the chat is saying? I could see that. I was feeling Joe. Joe gives like, like kind of weird uncle vibes. Joe kind of gives like, it's like a large family.

[30:18] Andrew: He's like right in the middle. Right? Yeah. Middle child. Do we think that Quinn? Okay, so her older sister, canonically named Franny. Franny could have children. I think.

[30:36] Dot: She probably will. She probably does.

[30:40] Andrew: And she probably does.

[30:43] Elijah: I'm gonna be so real. I had no idea she had a sister.

[30:46] Dot: No, it's only-

[30:47] Andrew: That rule was not in my head.

[30:48] Dot: It's like the backstory that the dad, her dad tells her in season one.

[30:53] Elijah: Where they like went to like the, this-

[30:55] Andrew: Baseball, hockey game? Baseball.

[30:57] Dot: Yes, they go to somewhere and they fall asleep. Yeah. Anyway, that was the discourse that we have today for this episode.

[31:07] Andrew: Puck is giving your uncle that you pretend to be cool with so he can, you can buy weed from him.

[31:14] Dot: That's exactly Puck energy, unfortunately.

[31:21] Andrew: Yeah. Dot, do we have any- Shifting out of aunt uncle conversation.

[31:30] Dot: Any other grievances that you would like to present at this very moment?

[31:34] Elijah: My only other grievance that is like still deeply upsetting to me is from round one.

[31:38] Andrew: Okay.

[31:40] Dot: Not many people are bringing up one or two times is Loser Like Me original version.

[31:46] Elijah: She would win my Glackett, I think.

[31:48] Andrew: She would win your entire Glackett?

[31:51] Dot: I think she's top five.

[31:54] Elijah: Really?

[31:54] Dot: Without looking at a list.

[31:55] Andrew: So, season two version over season five version?

[31:59] Dot: Yeah. I didn't, I used to hate the season five version. Now, I like-

[32:03] Elijah: Season five.

[32:04] Dot: No, now I love it. It's growing on me. It's hilarious.

[32:07] Andrew: It's hilarious.

[32:08] Dot: Season two is just like the epitome of Glee. It's like campy. It's like teenage drama.

[32:14] Elijah: I do feel bad.

[32:16] Dot: The dresses with the leggings and the boots.

[32:17] Andrew: It brings me back to a very specific time, like the height of Gleedom. I want to say the day that that episode aired, I had to go to Glee Live. So I didn't even get to watch it live. But I already knew the songs.

[32:29] Dot: I have like, such a vivid memory of walking into school the next day with Loser Like Me on my iPod that I'd downloaded from YouTube to MP3 and downloaded that. And walking through school being like, I'm the coolest person ever right now.

[32:45] Elijah: I feel bad for Loser Like Me season two. And that was a very, I feel like that was episode 10 of Round. That was a very-

[32:52] Dot: Yeah, I feel like if it came later, she would have lasted.

[32:55] Andrew: But also, do you recall who Loser Like Me season two lost to?

[32:59] Dot: B.o.K.

[33:00] Elijah: B.o.K., which is crazy.

[33:02] Dot: Who I hate.

[33:02] Andrew: B.o.K. being still around today?

[33:05] Dot: She's here today.

[33:06] Elijah: Oh, she's still in the blanket.

[33:07] Dot: She's still, yeah, she's right in the other room, actually. She could come in here at any moment.

[33:12] Andrew: Bring her in.

[33:14] Dot: We have words for B.o.K.

[33:18] Elijah: Yeah, I don't know what I was on that episode where I was, yeah, just like, I don't know. Just like, have fun. Just vote for Loser Like Me season two. It doesn't matter.

[33:27] Andrew: Yeah, I'm with you. I'm sorry.

[33:29] Dot: I'm looking at, I want to look at the votes. It was, was it unanimous B.o.K.?

[33:37] Elijah: I don't-

[33:38] Dot: I feel like Allison would have voted for Loser Like Me.

[33:40] Elijah: I feel that that feels right to me as well. Let me see.

[33:43] Dot: You're actually correct.

[33:44] Elijah: Yeah.

[33:46] Dot: You're actually correct. And B.o.K., 56% in the polls, though. So that's still very close.

[33:53] Andrew: Oh, okay.

[33:57] Dot: So manifesting, killing B.o.K., things are not going to be okay with B.o.K.

[34:03] Elijah: Um, I would love to see Hung Up. I would love to see Crush.

[34:09] Andrew: Okay.

[34:11] Dot: Teenage Dream season two.

[34:12] Elijah: Wait, okay, wait, what do you- because Allison furrowed brow in response to Crush.

[34:18] Andrew: What is your intentions with Crush? Do you want to-

[34:21] Dot: I love her.

[34:22] Andrew: What are your intentions with Crush? Do you want to send Crush through?

[34:26] Dot: Let's take her out on a nice date.

[34:27] Elijah: Well, Crush, canonically the shortest song on Glee.

[34:33] Andrew: Shortest song on the Glackett.

[34:34] Dot: I think that-

[34:35] Elijah: On the Glackett.

[34:37] Dot: There is a full version.

[34:38] Andrew: I mean, what, Revolution?

[34:40] Dot: Revolution is probably like, yeah, I don't know.

[34:42] Elijah: The shortest song on Glee?

[34:44] Dot: The only thing that might be even shorter that's coming to mind right now is like, Blaine singing Joy to the World and previously on Air Christmas where he's Joy to the world and they're all like, shut up, Blaine.

[34:55] Andrew: I think that might actually be shorter than what we get of Crush.

[35:00] Dot: I listen, I used to stream, because I mean, obviously in season one, we're eating all the crumbs we can get. So I used to stream Crush all the time, like the full version.

[35:09] Elijah: And it's to the point where I didn't realize like, oh, they only play like that much of it.

[35:14] Dot: But I love that song.

[35:16] Elijah: I love that song before it was on Glee.

[35:19] Dot: Hearing it in the wild is insane to me.

[35:23] Andrew: I can only think of Rachel Berry and Back to the Car when I hear it.

[35:26] Dot: Also, people are like, people are saying it's funny that she's made it this far. Or like, wouldn't it be a bit if like, Crush made it all the way? But like, I genuinely I think it's a great song on Glee.

[35:36] Elijah: It's hilarious.

[35:37] Dot: And also, I think it captures the season one spirit. I feel like Crush encapsulates like a full like camp of like the season one.

[35:48] Andrew: That like, it's like that.

[35:49] Dot: It's so much heavier than the 16 seconds that we get, you know?

[35:53] Elijah: There are so many.

[35:54] Dot: I was gonna say there's a few songs that I'm like, how did you make it this far? And I'm kind of like glad that they're there in the event that they're up against. Like, they're good songs.

[36:04] Andrew: But yeah, so like songs like Crush and you said, what, B.O.K.?

[36:09] Dot: B.O.K.

[36:10] Elijah: Like, yeah, okay.

[36:12] Andrew: Wait, but then in that scenario, Crush versus B.O.K., what are we saying?

[36:16] Dot: Crush.

[36:17] Elijah: We're saying Crush.

[36:18] Andrew: I'm saying Crush.

[36:19] Elijah: Absolutely.

[36:19] Dot: Yeah.

[36:20] Andrew: What are you saying, Allison?

[36:20] Dot: Are you torn?

[36:22] Elijah: No, I'm not.

[36:25] Dot: No, Allison, listen.

[36:26] Andrew: Listen, I, the harmonies, I'm a harmony girl.

[36:32] Dot: So that harmony, like if you're putting those two songs up against each other, then I might be forced to to be okay.

[36:39] Elijah: Yeah.

[36:41] Dot: As much as I'm like, I'm of two minds of where I'm like, I want Crush.

[36:45] Andrew: As much as I'm like, I'm of two minds of where I'm like, I want Crush.

[36:50] Dot: Songs like Crush to continue on to be like, what, what is the kind of like stupidest, the stupid representation going really far?

[36:58] Elijah: You know, like, I think that's fun.

[37:02] Andrew: No, the song, yeah.

[37:03] Dot: Oh, yeah.

[37:04] Elijah: I thought you were agreeing.

[37:06] Dot: Like, yeah, no, the song.

[37:06] Andrew: Yeah, I just because I have the playlist up and I'm like, that's still here.

[37:10] Dot: Oh, for good reason.

[37:11] Elijah: I was listening to the remaining songs playlist the other day and Yeah came on.

[37:15] Dot: And for a good reason.

[37:16] Elijah: I thought for you, Andrew, because I don't know how much you like that.

[37:19] Andrew: I don't understand her.

[37:20] Dot: It's so good.

[37:22] Elijah: You just don't get it.

[37:23] Dot: I loved it.

[37:24] Andrew: I don't get it.

[37:25] Dot: You will get it eventually.

[37:27] Elijah: That is a song that I'm like, I'm just gonna stream the original.

[37:32] Dot: Because, well, no, I think it's fine.

[37:36] Elijah: They're having fun.

[37:37] Dot: And they're like, they're like jolty, like dance moves.

[37:40] Elijah: It's so stupid.

[37:42] Dot: They will never be Eve's show choir.

[37:46] Andrew: They will never be bootylicious hair or whatever.

[37:50] Dot: What are you saying, Dot?

[37:52] Elijah: Oh, just the glee club that do yeah, just all like 30 year old women.

[37:57] Dot: Yeah, exactly.

[37:58] Andrew: Really takes me out.

[38:01] Dot: Yeah.

[38:03] Elijah: Manifestation.

[38:05] Andrew: We're what's the biggest one for you, Dot?

[38:10] Dot: I, I would love to see Teenage Dream original.

[38:13] Andrew: Okay.

[38:14] Dot: To fight for her.

[38:15] Elijah: We'll see what we can do.

[38:17] Andrew: We'll see.

[38:18] Dot: Here we go.

[38:19] Elijah: I'm scared.

[38:21] Andrew: That's a long piece of paper.

[38:23] Dot: They're all the same size.

[38:26] Elijah: It is a, it is a long title.

[38:28] Dot: Um, I will say that much.

[38:31] Andrew: It is also showtune alert.

[38:36] Dot: And I'm telling you, you're not going.

[38:38] Elijah: No, but, um, anything you can do.

[38:42] Dot: Anything goes.

[38:43] Elijah: Maybe a season in the middle of those two seasons that you just said, I have, there are worse things I could do.

[38:50] Dot: No, I'm literally looking at the list.

[38:53] Elijah: Who is the longest name?

[38:55] Dot: Those are the three with the longest names.

[38:57] Elijah: No, it's a long one.

[38:59] Dot: You got it.

[39:00] Andrew: Come on.

[39:01] Dot: I almost have it up.

[39:04] Elijah: What are you talking?

[39:05] Dot: What are you?

[39:07] Elijah: Papa, can you hear me?

[39:11] Andrew: Okay.

[39:11] Dot: Audio medium.

[39:13] Elijah: Boop, boop, boop.

[39:15] Andrew: What are we looking at?

[39:15] Dot: Is that touch it?

[39:16] Elijah: Touch it.

[39:17] Dot: Oh, cause I only wrote touch it.

[39:18] Elijah: Touch me.

[39:18] Dot: I didn't write the full title.

[39:19] Elijah: That's why.

[39:20] Dot: All the touches really add up.

[39:23] Andrew: Yeah.

[39:25] Dot: Here we go.

[39:26] Dot: Okay.

[39:29] Dot: I am really obsessed with this one and I really do want the best for her.

[39:33] Elijah: Um, Dot, what are we thinking of touch, touch, touch me.

[39:34] Dot: Okay.

[39:34] Elijah: All right.

[39:34] Dot: Don't hate me.

[39:34] Elijah: Um, I feel like, no, actually I really enjoyed watching it then.

[39:39] Dot: I never really got the Rocky horror episode at the time.

[39:43] Elijah: Okay.

[39:44] Dot: 2010 in rural England.

[39:47] Elijah: I had never heard of it.

[39:48] Dot: None of my friends had ever heard of it.

[39:50] Elijah: Um, so like I had no idea what was going on in this episode for like many years and learn more and it's come over to the UK now more Rocky horror, but it wasn't a big thing.

[40:02] Andrew: Yeah.

[40:03] Dot: Um, so I did like skip over this episode sometimes and rewatches, but watching that then I loved it.

[40:10] Elijah: Um, Brittany and Santana are hilarious in those little bits popping up in the back.

[40:15] Dot: Oh, it's so good.

[40:16] Elijah: I love it.

[40:17] Dot: And Emma is like absolutely serving.

[40:20] Andrew: I was thinking my big question, like coming out of this performance is, okay, so Emma, I feel like has like two big numbers, which is this and getting married today.

[40:33] Dot: And I feel like obviously both in the, from the show tune catalog and also both are like perfectly kind of funneled for her specifically.

[40:40] Andrew: And if it were to like come down between like, and we don't know what the second song is, of course it could be getting married today. Like what is kind of like the magnum opus Emma number between those two for you?

[41:01] Dot: This one.

[41:02] Andrew: It's this one?

[41:03] Dot: This is also her audition song for the show.

[41:06] Elijah: Yeah.

[41:07] Dot: Oh, it's so, and I think that was like Jema like inspired.

[41:10] Andrew: Like I think that it was like her idea to be like, yeah, it would be touch a touch, touch a touch a touch me for like Emma, the character Emma to sing.

[41:18] Dot: It makes sense.

[41:19] Andrew: It makes so much sense.

[41:20] Dot: But I also like getting married today is such a, does that hit for you or no?

[41:26] Elijah: I wouldn't say getting married today.

[41:27] Dot: Yeah, you would.

[41:28] Elijah: Yeah, but that's probably because I'm not very connected to Rocky Horror.

[41:31] Dot: But like, just like technically how fast that song is, is impressive.

[41:38] Andrew: It's sped up in the final cut.

[41:40] Dot: There's no way it's not.

[41:42] Elijah: Is it like, yes, it is fast.

[41:43] Dot: And yes, like the people that perform it on stage are fast, but you're not going to tell me that's not sped up.

[41:48] Andrew: You know that in that TikTok trend where it was like, I didn't know that I could, I could do this, where it was like, where you say, you say something like really quickly, you're like, and then you slow down the audio.

[41:55] Dot: And then it's like the entirety of like, you did this, you told Coach Sylvester about.

[42:06] Elijah: That's what Jema was doing in the studio that day.

[42:08] Andrew: Right.

[42:09] Dot: I was like, well, it's like when they film the slow motion numbers and their, their playback is sped up.

[42:15] Elijah: So they look normal.

[42:17] Andrew: So that it's similar, but I, I don't know.

[42:20] Dot: I really just believed in the magic.

[42:22] Andrew: I feel, I feel silly now.

[42:24] Dot: This song sits so good in her voice.

[42:27] Elijah: I think like, I mean, like I said, she auditioned for Glee with this song.

[42:30] Dot: If I'm not, please fact check me.

[42:32] Elijah: But, um.

[42:33] Dot: No, she did.

[42:34] Elijah: This whole scenario, like the whole scene, it just seems so believable in the same way that like, Run Joey Run seems like an afterschool project edited and I'm like, you really believe it.

[42:47] Dot: Just like Santana and Britney spying on them after hours, like even when they're running down the hallway, the lighting makes it look like it's really at night.

[42:54] Andrew: Like everything about this, just like, imagine seeing your teacher, like you're looking through the window and seeing you see two teachers doing this.

[42:59] Dot: That's such a good point.

[43:00] Andrew: Like it feels realized.

[43:01] Dot: Like it feels like an actual, I don't know.

[43:05] Elijah: Like, yeah, it just feels realized.

[43:08] Dot: I, um, I always think about like there, I remember there was like a Tumblr kind of like gift set of like the parallels of Britannia running down in joy, this like queer joy of Britannia running during Touch Me, and then Santana running at the very beginning down the same hallway during Rumor Has It.

[43:28] Andrew: I think about that every time I watch this performance and I'm like, ooh, it, it brings up something for me.

[43:36] Elijah: But, um.

[43:36] Dot: It's funny you say that because there were Tumblr gift sets of each, everyone's creature of the night.

[43:40] Elijah: And it was always Will's that I'm like, ah.

[43:43] Dot: And then even when we were watching the performance every time, I'm like, ah.

[43:47] Elijah: But I will say, listen, listen, I'm only human.

[43:51] Dot: When she ripped his shirt off, I said.

[43:53] Elijah: Oh, great.

[43:55] Dot: I would have been a man.

[43:56] Elijah: I'm an adult.

[43:58] Dot: He's hot.

[44:00] Andrew: He like, we need to stop at the very least.

[44:03] Dot: We need to stop acting like Will is not objectively a hot teacher.

[44:07] Elijah: We're all on the same page in this conversation.

[44:10] Andrew: Yes.

[44:12] Dot: Like, me for real.

[44:15] Elijah: So, like, the chat isn't agreeing with us.

[44:17] Dot: Oh, they aren't.

[44:19] Elijah: Well, they're, they're not in the conversation.

[44:21] Dot: Sorry.

[44:23] Dot: Oh, can we please talk about the weird censorship?

[44:28] Elijah: Some I understand.

[44:29] Dot: And some I'm like, why?

[44:31] Elijah: Wait, which one?

[44:32] Dot: The lyrics are different.

[44:33] Elijah: Okay, first of all, listen, she says, instead of, she says heavy fretting.

[44:39] Dot: It's supposed to be petting, like heavy petting.

[44:42] Elijah: And then it's seat wetting.

[44:45] Dot: Oh, yeah.

[44:46] Elijah: Bed fretting.

[44:48] Dot: And then the one that I do understand is, I think it's.

[44:52] Allyson A La Mode: And if anything, it's is it is it post? Maybe I'm wrong. I thought it was like, maybe I'm tripping. I thought it was no, that sounds right. And I'm like, Oh, poking like a but like a Elysee. Yeah. Oh, what? Like an Elysee? Lighthouse, Elysee? Lighthouse. What is it? Elysee from The Breakup. Oh, my. Like a what? Because I'm like, is that an acronym? You know, like an Elysee. And then you knew what he was talking. I was like, you've kids in your slang. Oh, my God. Um, Regular Glee Show does have it's like tied in second for like most songs still in the glacket. Oh, wow. Like, okay, so let me take a look at this actually. So Power of Madonna has five songs still left. We're like going into round three.

I'm not sure exactly now how all the stats align. But Power of Madonna had five going into round three. Journey to Regionals, Rocky Horror Glee Show, Original Song, Heart and The Breakup all had four going into round three. And I feel like that's right. Rocky Horror, if I can like name them. So it was Time Warp, Sweet Transvestite, Dammit Janet, and this. And that just feels right to me. Yeah.

[46:26] Dot: Yeah, I was gonna say that. Yeah. Because wait, what else is there?

[46:31] Allyson A La Mode: So like, Science Fiction Double Feature didn't make it out of round two. What other ones? Oh, like, what was the John Stamos number?

[46:42] Dot: Oh, I was like Meatloaf, Hot Patootie.

[46:47] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, yeah, that didn't make it out of round two. Whatever happened to Saturday Night?

[46:50] Dot: Right.

[46:52] Allyson A La Mode: Sure. Am I missing one? Am I missing one? I don't know. I think that feels...

[46:58] Dot: Well, did they release There's a Light?

[47:01] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, There's a Light didn't make it out of round one. That's it. Okay. Thank you. I really want the best for Touch Me. Yeah, I just think it's perfect. I really do.

[47:14] Dot: Yeah. I mean, obviously, we don't know what's coming next. But this is a good song, a good performance. I wouldn't even say it caters to... I have been in the back of my head listening to you saying, like, oh, as we end the Glackett, I don't want it just to be like you said, Glee for Dummies, or just songs that are all the normies. And I feel like this is definitely a good middle ground. People would know this song, but it's still a good song.

[47:41] Allyson A La Mode: And it's a theatre song. I like it. Any final notes, Dot, on Touch Me?

[47:49] Dot: No, I'm excited to see what she's up against.

[47:51] Allyson A La Mode: Here we go. Here we go. It's gonna be this one. Ooh, this is a fun competition. Season six.

[48:00] Dot: Oh, and I missed... I missed season six. I am little miss season six.

[48:06] Allyson A La Mode: I don't know how I'm gonna go with this competition, actually. I can't wait. Okay, I love guessing.

[48:13] Dot: Yeah, what do you think this is? We're looking at Mason and Madison in the auditorium.

[48:20] Allyson A La Mode: Is this home?

[48:21] Dot: No, it's not.

[48:23] Allyson A La Mode: Is that gone?

[48:24] Dot: Home is still around, but it's not home.

[48:28] Allyson A La Mode: I've got no idea what's even left from season six.

[48:32] Dot: Very few.

[48:35] Allyson A La Mode: I know, and I was scrolling specifically looking for season six songs. Is it from Jagged?

[48:42] Dot: It is Jagged.

[48:43] Allyson A La Mode: So it's you'll live, you'll learn, you'll...

[48:46] Dot: You'll live, you'll learn. You'll do everything.

[48:50] Allyson A La Mode: You'll be my friend.

[48:52] Dot: That's it.

[48:53] Allyson A La Mode: Yes. Oh my god, I'm so happy. I finally got a Jagged little tapestry number. It's very, very cute. Um, do you want to start the discourse, Alison?

[49:04] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my god, I would love to. I feel like, I don't know if I just happened to notice, they brought back the kind of background vocals that you would hear in season one, kind of like, almost vocal. Like, because that's not everybody. Like, it sounds very season one, the background vocals, no?

[49:21] Dot: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I agree. That's a good shout.

[49:25] Allyson A La Mode: And this is literally my comfort episode. Like this album, this little EP has gone triple quadruple diamond platinum in my head. So it's, it's a perfect episode for, for music, for storyline. The Gleeks have recently been talking about it. And I'm glad, I'm glad y'all are finally joining me.

[49:45] Dot: It's really great. It just feels like a packed episode as well. Like I love, I really love that Becky has like, this kind of like, she does like have like B-plot in like, the last few episodes of the series. It's a good Becky plot. I like it. You got plot, you got songs, like every song in this episode could be released without the Glee episode, and it would still be a banger.

[50:10] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, it's still hit. Yeah. People talk about Hung Up being Tina's best vocal. We need to, I know it's not in the full episode, but the mp3 of the dang, was it the Carole King song?

[50:22] Dot: Oh, So Far Away?

[50:24] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, you guys, if you haven't listened to So Far Away mp3, I implore you. I am going to say something that seems like so braggy and big headed of me to say right now. But I, when I was on, and that's what you really missed last, I like, they were asking about season six. I was like, I said the similar sentiment that I was like, Jenny, you have a beautiful vocal on So Far Away with Diana. And like, I'm so glad that they finally like released a Jenna song to iTunes, you know, like we did get the full version. And you sound so good. Jenna had no idea, had no recollection of recording it. And was like, I sang that. And I'm like, yeah, you sound so good. And she was like, Oh, I'll listen to it right after this recording.

And the way, respectfully, busy woman, I was like, in my head, I was like, there's no way that she's going to leave this recording and listen to this, this song. It's like, it's like someone's saying to you, like, Oh, check out, check out this album. It's like, yeah, okay. Yeah, sure. I'll do that. Yeah, I'll listen to it. And but then like, she brought it up in a future episode. And she was like, Oh, yeah, Andrew said to listen to it. And I did. And I really liked it. And I was like, Oh my God, it like, meant the world to me.

[51:41] Dot: My head would not be able to fit through a door because I'm like, process something that I said, and then listen to it. Um, oh, yeah, but it's, it's gorgeous, gorgeous vocal.

[51:53] Allyson A La Mode: But everyone sounds so good. Because that's okay. That's when I said, Clayne sounds their best. But that whole episode, Kurt is singing in his lower register. So that's kind of yeah. Like, even in this song, he sounds so good. Even like random Quinn. And I don't think Puck was really singing, was he?

[52:08] Dot: But he sounded, he sounded so good.

[52:11] Allyson A La Mode: He was a jumpscare. Like, I had no recollection of him being in this.

[52:14] Dot: So spooky. He did not need to be in this episode. It's so Everyone looks 30 years old.

[52:20] Allyson A La Mode: Wait, what are you saying, Dot?

[52:23] Dot: In this era of season six, when he doesn't have the Mohawk, and he's got like all hair. Yeah, I don't know. He, he gave that is like extra achy.

[52:31] Allyson A La Mode: It's yeah, major ache. But um, yeah, I think that he his like last vocal in the series is home the previous episode. And he doesn't sing. He never goes back into that studio ever again. And then Diana's last vocal in the series is this song. She never she never returned because like she only comes back again for I lived. This is the like, the last scene that we actually see Quinn do anything.

[53:01] Dot: I don't hate their duet. Just give me a reason. I know there's some haters. I don't hate it.

[53:07] Allyson A La Mode: It's not bad.

[53:08] Dot: What do you like about that? I need to hear this out because I have not heard this opinion yet.

[53:15] Allyson A La Mode: I don't know. Maybe I just need to I think maybe just the mp3 because I'm not watching it because I know it's like, oh, we decided to like get back together. Just give me a look. But I don't know. I don't hate it. They sound good. I think if you just like divorce it from the context.

[53:33] Dot: I say like the mp4 makes me feel sick, right?

[53:38] Allyson A La Mode: The mp4 it's so awkward. It's so uncomfortable. These two actors playing off of each other. No. I will say a thought that I've been having recently is that like, I feel like I felt like very secure about my Glee thoughts going into doing a Glee podcast and talking about every single song. But then like, I feel like through hearing like, Just Give Me a Reason, for example, was like a song that I felt like, I was like, okay, I like it. It's fine. But then I felt like so influenced by everybody being like, no, Andrew, it's bad. And just being told that it's bad. And I'm like, so the past, like, four years of doing this, I've just been like, yes, it is a bad song.

[54:24] Dot: Yeah, I, I got it. You know what? Just like how Jenna told me, or I told Jenna to listen to So Far Away, you're telling me to go listen to Just Give Me a Reason.

[54:35] Allyson A La Mode: I think it's a good cover. It's a good cover in the same way of Constant Craving sounds amazing. But you just can't think too much about the context.

[54:43] Dot: Oh, you're not saying that Constant Craving is as beautiful of a vocal as like, you're not saying that they're no similarity.

[54:51] Allyson A La Mode: I'm just saying similarly, like, I'm like, oh, it's a it's a great song to listen to. But then when you're looking at like you said that, Just Give Me a Reason is cringe or like, hard to watch. So is Constant Craving.

[55:02] Dot: Of course. Yeah. Yeah.

[55:04] Allyson A La Mode: So in the same vein.

[55:06] Dot: Um, bringing it back to the the performance at hand, Dot, what are we thinking of? Right. Dot, did you want to say anything else about Just Give Me a Reason?

[55:15] Dot: Um, no, I'm good on Just Give Me a Reason.

[55:21] Allyson A La Mode: We're good on that.

[55:24] Dot: Yeah.

[55:25] Allyson A La Mode: Um, no, this, um, performance, I enjoyed it more than I thought I remembered it. Um, like Alison said, it kind of gave like, weird season one vibes in a way with like, the layers of the vocals, and then all like walking through the auditorium, like, entering at different points like that. It's just so quintessentially.

[55:48] Dot: I'm, I'm of two minds where I'm like, would I because like, okay, obviously, the new season six cast doesn't even get a peep in this performance. They are being sung at by people like full strangers. And so I'm like, I'm of two minds where I'm like, do I like that they're singing this song, the characters that we've been following up until this point? Or would I rather like have the opposite of like having the new Glee Club sing at the alumni to be like, hey, we've been working on this all week. Let me show you like, you know what I mean? Yeah, I'm like, what would you rather

[56:29] Allyson A La Mode: I think that would make more that would make more sense plot wise. But I mean, clearly, they just want to bring back all of the original new directions as much as possible.

[56:37] Dot: Anything that involves Noah Guthrie singing I'm on board with. So more Noah Guthrie.

[56:41] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, that would be beautiful. Oh, my gosh.

[56:43] Dot: Oh, it's so crazy that Roderick and Madison don't sing in this episode. Love the to to consider like the possibility of like what their Alanis Carole mashup would be.

[57:01] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my god, I feel like ironic would be would be good would be good for the Noah Guthrie.

[57:07] Dot: Well, I'm just thinking of the Broadway version that is a duet the ironic even if it like because Carole King gets what two so two solos in this and

[57:23] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, she gets late and so far away. Yeah, right. So what is like if it was like, whatever the scene where they're like, oh, let's practice this song, we can mash it up with something later. So they could just do ironic and it could be similar to the arrangement from the Broadway show jacket.

[57:36] Dot: Yeah. Oh, kind of again, I need that I put that on the board.

[57:41] Allyson A La Mode: I why do I feel like Kevin and Jenna's producer Sam texted me a YouTube video that I was not familiar with of what Laura Dreyfuss and Noah Guthrie singing elastic heart. Do you know about this?

[57:59] Dot: No.

[58:05] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, no. Oh, it exists on YouTube. And she was like, Noah Guthrie is about to come on to the podcast. Do I let him know? Like that? I love this. This like YouTube video. And I was like, you do need to let him know. So yeah, no, I watched and it's beautiful. It's local. I'm gonna watch that after this.

[58:27] Dot: You should watch that after this. We all have our marching orders after this after this recording.

[58:32] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. Um, okay. Do we have any final things to say about you learn you've got a friend before we vote?

[58:38] Dot: I don't know I'm voting. I don't know what I'm voting for. I feel solid.

[58:43] Allyson A La Mode: Do you? Oh, then? Damn, do it. Um, touch touch touch me has my vote. 100% is more unique, I think, then you live you learn like it's a rare Emma vocal, which you don't always get. And it's not just like a diversity, like a diversity, like it's a generally great vocal. The whole thing, like the whole scene, Santana and Brittany, it's comedic. It's just all around a more interesting performance, I think.

[59:18] Dot: Yes. Okay. Do you know what you're voting for?

[59:24] Allyson A La Mode: I do. I do. Can I say something really quick? That's running through my brain just before. Okay, so I'm thinking like, alright, so what's like more expendable? It's like, is it this like, beautiful, like jagged little tapestry performance or this beautiful MLO? You know, I'm like, really, really

[59:50] Allyson A La Mode: I don't know. That's where my mind is at right now. But what are you, what are you voting for?

[59:55] Allyson A La Mode: I feel like, gleefully, I love You Live, You Learn, because like I said, I have such an attachment, but then, when we're playing the game of the Glackett, it's for everybody.

[1:00:08] Dot: Yeah.

[1:00:08] Allyson A La Mode: We have to keep everybody in mind. And I feel like, Touch It, Touch Me has done more for the glulcher than You Learn, You Live, especially with the better idea that you pitched, you know, with the new, like, why isn't it them singing to them? But like, she still lives in my heart, and I love her dearly, but I must respect the M.O.L.O.

[1:00:31] Dot: Okay. I was afraid that you were like, excited to put me into the hot seat of making a decision.

[1:00:36] Allyson A La Mode: No, I know.

[1:00:37] Allyson A La Mode: And now I don't need to. Where are you going? Were you leaning?

[1:00:42] Dot: I don't know where I was like, these really exist. I say this all the time. But like, if I were to actually like, write out the 666 in order, like of how much I like them, I feel like these two songs are very similar place, you know?

[1:01:00] Allyson A La Mode: It's a good mashup. Like, I love the mashups that are actually mashups, instead of just like, okay, I'm sorry. I feel pretty, I'm pretty is literally just I feel. I'm saying that there are mashups on the show that aren't as like, they're there. She's just saying I feel pretty, witty, and bright. That's it. It's not a mashup.

[1:01:20] Dot: I know. I do. I do need the, see that little girl in the mirror.

[1:01:26] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah.

[1:01:27] Allyson A La Mode: If we're talking about structurally the perfect mashup, it's like rumor has it, someone like you, they're like mesh, they're intertwined. And I mean, this one I feel like it's pretty good, especially at the end when they're like, like, it's this is a good mashup as well. But yeah,

[1:01:43] Dot: we got to pay respect to Jemma Mays, Jemma Mays.

[1:01:53] Allyson A La Mode: Exactly. I've been sitting on that. I have been wanting to make an entire Say My Name, um, like parody of Jemma Mays. I feel crazy right now. I just I just like need I should have given y'all like context before this recording. But I got a text message from one of my straight friends saying that they found out that I was having a pride party that is exclusively for gay people.

[1:02:21] Allyson A La Mode: And they were like, Hey, can I come and I'm just like, I don't know how to tell her. And so like, that is why I am just like, uh, it just like exhausted me to my core, getting that text message. I haven't responded yet. But I just, that's where I'm coming from. But um, the Jemma Mays, maybe the Jemma Mays Say My Name.

[1:02:45] Dot: I think if your friend likes the Jemma Mays, Jemma Mays, come with them. Maybe they could come.

[1:02:58] Allyson A La Mode: Let's see. Let's see. Be like, Hey, do you like this? And they're like, it's okay, then be like, sorry, then you're not invited.

[1:03:06] Dot: Do they like turkey lurkey time? Let's have a kiki. Do they know?

[1:03:11] Allyson A La Mode: I know they don't know that. I know for a fact.

[1:03:13] Dot: Well, then they can't come.

[1:03:15] Allyson A La Mode: No, they can't.

[1:03:16] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, but well, also, like, to be fair, it's like, I have so many friends that like, are not gleeks that I'm like, I feel so comfortable. Like, like, I like having this circle of people that I talk to about the fuck show glee. And then this circle where I'm like, I am so glad that you don't know what a quollo is. You know what I mean?

[1:03:38] Dot: I fought glee onto everyone in my life.

[1:03:40] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. But thank you so much for for being here for do you wait dot before we let you go? Do you think that this will be a competition that people will continue to talk about as like a hard one? What do you what do you think the legacy of this competition will be?

[1:03:59] Dot: I don't think that this will be particularly memorable. And not that many people are rising for season six. Just generally. Sorry.

[1:04:13] Allyson A La Mode: Wait, Andrew, what was your official vote?

[1:04:16] Allyson A La Mode: I don't know for Elijah. I'm sorry to bring in Elijah is going to be like, what was your vote?

[1:04:25] Dot: I know but people do where do you stand on the pity votes?

[1:04:30] Allyson A La Mode: I was debating throwing a pity vote to you live you learn but I have to stand on business.

[1:04:37] Dot: And that's fair. I I will do a pity vote for but it's only after the fact it's like only because I know touch a touch a touch me is going through. Right? So I'll throw a pity vote for you learn you've got a friend. And I did learn that I have a friend. So um, anyway,

[1:04:57] Allyson A La Mode: thank you so much for joining us. Thank you.

[1:05:01] Allyson A La Mode: Um, and now we are bringing in Elijah. Hello.

[1:05:08] Elijah: Hello. How's it going?

[1:05:10] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my gosh, Elijah. It has been you have gifted us with a beautiful document. Do you want to like just like talk to us about what made you want to do this, this document and explain again what the document is.

[1:05:26] Elijah: So I am the mastermind behind the voting history, whatever document I I feel like in some episode in the past you mentioned that because you guys would be constantly being like, I don't remember who voted for this, like, you know, and I felt like we should have some sort of visual aid. And that definitely feels like something that Amelia would do. But you know, I, she already has a lot on her plate. So I was like, guys are working in tandem. And I love it.

[1:06:10] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. So I was like, you know what, we have a break. It was right before the break, I believe when you when the podcast was off for a month. And I was like, you know what, I have the time, I will put this together. And, you know, hopefully it comes out well. And I'm not crazy. By the end of it.

[1:06:29] Allyson A La Mode: That is, I am so indebted to you, Elijah. Thank you. Like, I cannot imagine going back and listening. So were you? Be honest with me. Were you listening to the full episodes? Or were you just like fast forward and being like, okay, here's where they vote? Or what were you doing?

[1:06:44] Elijah: I was absolutely not listening to the whole episode. Unfortunately.

[1:06:48] Allyson A La Mode: Thank God. Okay.

[1:06:52] Elijah: That would have taken me months. I'm sure.

[1:06:54] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah. Yeah.

[1:06:56] Elijah: Yeah. So I would just sort of skip through to after the song after the two songs were pulled and, you know, listen and, you know, yeah, jot everything down, make sure everything was good.

[1:07:13] Allyson A La Mode: You're also collecting like some like some analytics as well. It's like it's you're collecting so much. Was there anything like really like surprising that like specifically that you found that that you would like to shout out?

[1:07:26] Elijah: Um, well, the so I believe it was Joey in the group chat, I had like asked, is there any like other analytics you would like to know and then that's why I have the Instagram polls on there. And it was very interesting to see sort of like, how, how often, you know, the Instagram gleeks disagree with, you know, us on Patreon, and all that sort of stuff. And then also looking at like, going through and seeing either, you know, how many pity votes you've done, which I believe, or I mean, we've got another one.

[1:08:08] Allyson A La Mode: Specifically, yeah, you specifically have done before this episode 29 pity votes.

[1:08:18] Elijah: 29. Oh, so we reached 30 today.

[1:08:21] Allyson A La Mode: Yes. Well, so here's my question in the last episode. What did was that a pity vote for?

[1:08:28] Elijah: Um, I think it was last last Christmas, or what? I don't remember.

[1:08:35] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, last Christmas, that was a pity. So last Christmas versus Santana's drum.

[1:08:41] Elijah: Yes, that felt like that did feel like a pity vote, actually, because I do. I would vote for Santana's drum. But I do think that last Christmas is a beautiful, beautiful girl. And I want her to be acknowledged before being sent to hell.

[1:08:53] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, but like, looking through you, you know, there, you are definitely the I don't mind the pity votes. Like, I mean, if you have, if you have a feeling, or some sort of attachment to a song, like, you got to share your love for it.

[1:09:10] Elijah: I need to let them know that. And I know that like, particularly, Ian is like, they're songs, they're not people. And I'm like, yeah, but I have such a close relationship to so many of them. And like, I don't want like, you learn you that like, like, or like last Christmas to be like, just like, go home, like empty handed, you know, it's like, I want them to like, know that they're loved at least by one person. That's me, you know.

[1:09:39] Allyson A La Mode: So Elijah, if I'm reading this correctly, if it's, if the episode is color coded green, does that mean that everyone was unanimous?

[1:09:47] Elijah: Yes. So okay.

[1:09:52] Elijah: Yes, on on the left hand side, for whatever the episode title is, those ones are fully unanimous, all competitions, excluding the Instagram polls.

[1:10:04] Allyson A La Mode: Yes, I'm like, I referenced this spread, like, it's so helpful. I was on FaceTime with my friend, literally the other day telling her about how I was going to be on this episode. So I went back and like, searched my name, and I went back and looked at every, and I was like, reading her, this is the way I voted and I lost and I tried to advocate for this song. And this spreadsheet has been so helpful.

[1:10:28] Elijah: Yeah, which I, let me just say, I appreciate you advocating for how to be a heartbreaker. That is especially over shout and I'll get to shout later.

[1:10:37] Allyson A La Mode: Okay, we'll shout later.

[1:10:41] Allyson A La Mode: Um, wait, is that? No, wait, do we want to do we want to get into grievances now that we're, we're clearly here? Or?

[1:10:52] Elijah: Uh, yeah, sure. Absolutely.

[1:10:56] Allyson A La Mode: Okay, so go ahead. Wait, what? So what do you want to say about? What do you want to say about shout? I'm so curious.

[1:11:01] Elijah: So round one, shout beat out turning tables, and I believe turning tables is Holly holidays.

[1:11:12] Allyson A La Mode: But it's, you know, it's not as good as forget you because like, forget you is the cultural, I would say it's her drump. It's Holly's drump.

[1:11:25] Elijah: That's what she's known for. Yes.

[1:11:28] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, yeah.

[1:11:28] Elijah: But turning tables, I am a sucker for like, emotional slow down sort of ballads. And you can like you can feel the emotion in her voice.

[1:11:42] Allyson A La Mode: I will also present to you landslide and landslide. Is that something that are you considering when you're saying this? Or what is your thought with that?

[1:11:51] Elijah: I feel whether you're listening to the mp3 or the mp4, I feel like landslide leans more towards like a trio, a duo or a trio, depending on how you look at it. But like, if we're looking solely at Holly holiday solos, turning, I'd say it would go.

[1:12:15] Elijah: Honestly, depending on the date, turning tables might be my number one.

[1:12:19] Allyson A La Mode: Okay, and then it would be forget you. But like, if you're in like a sappy mood, you want to listen to something emotional. I'll go towards turning tables. But like, you know, forget you is, you know, just brings out the joy and the emotion.

[1:12:36] Elijah: This is really interesting. Okay, to consider all of these hollow lows. So what is the absolute worst one? Are we saying because we haven't even shouted out like party all the time?

[1:12:47] Allyson A La Mode: Or I guess like, is I if you're including forget you, I guess then you're also including happy.

[1:12:53] Elijah: And also, that's the worst one is the best. That's okay. Definitely that. And then also, do you want to touch me hasn't been brought up yet, which

[1:13:05] Allyson A La Mode: so if if I were to rank it, I would probably say turning tables and forget you would probably switch, depending, you know, on the day. And then I would honestly, I would probably say party all the time is underrated. Like it's, it's an underrated banger. Yeah, I really do like it. It lost to if I were a boy, and which is is fair. Canada.

[1:13:32] Elijah: Yes. And then I would say, you know, happy would be worst. And then above that would probably be do you want to touch me?

[1:13:40] Allyson A La Mode: Okay. All right. I'm glad that we have this conversation. It's really important to consider all the hollow lows. I just wanted to say I know that I haven't brought this up. We have we don't talk about turning tables much at all because round one killed her.

[1:13:55] Elijah: Yeah, but I just like every time that I think about turning tables, I remember watching night and neglect live. And there was an eyelash in my eye during turning tables. And I was just like, very aggravated by it. And I think that that did have a negative impact on turning tables. And unfortunately, followed through to how I saw it as it pertains to the glacket all those years later. So I think that that's just what I want to present.

[1:14:21] Elijah: But I think that's valid. You know, you

[1:14:23] Allyson A La Mode: Thank you. Yeah. But other other grooms round one, I have four that you know, are upsetting. And then the rest are just like, it sucks. But you know, it's a part of the process. A loser like me versus be okay, which brought up

[1:14:46] Andrew: Okay, that is a big episode for that competition specifically. Yes.

[1:14:51] Elijah: Everybody Talks versus Honesty.

[1:14:54] Andrew: Yeah. Again, Elijah, I'm so glad that you did this exercise of the voting history.

[1:15:03] Elijah: Because you voted for Everybody Talks.

[1:15:06] Andrew: Because I knew better than to vote for Honesty. And yeah, no.

[1:15:13] Allyson A La Mode: That's just shaking her head.

[1:15:15] Andrew: I rewatched that episode because, Andrew, you talk about how, what is it? The Billy Joel? Like, it's not that bad. I fast forwarded, honestly.

[1:15:28] Allyson A La Mode: It's, it's pretty terrible.

[1:15:32] Andrew: Yeah, it's not terrible. It's just like, it's, it's not no, no, because then people are gonna be like, I can't believe that you just said it was terrible. It's not terrible. It's just like, unimpressionable to me. I'm sorry.

[1:15:41] Elijah: Yeah, I mean, Honesty isn't like a bad song. It's a good artolo. But like, I feel like Everybody Talks is probably Kitty's best vocals, in my opinion.

[1:15:54] Allyson A La Mode: And it's a good duet.

[1:15:56] Elijah: I got to kill Honesty. I'm looking at the, I'm looking at your spreadsheet. I killed Honesty.

[1:16:01] Andrew: It was you!

[1:16:04] Elijah: Wait, did anybody vote for Honesty in round two?

[1:16:07] Allyson A La Mode: Aman.

[1:16:08] Elijah: Oh, really?

[1:16:10] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah.

[1:16:10] Elijah: Okay, but I don't know. The song that it was up against was also bad to me. So I think it was, for me, the lesser of two evils.

[1:16:19] Andrew: I forget, what was it against?

[1:16:20] Elijah: All I wanna get is a little bit good.

[1:16:23] Andrew: Oh, yeah, yeah.

[1:16:24] Elijah: Both of those songs suck to me. So I think I just went with Closer.

[1:16:28] Allyson A La Mode: I mean, honestly, out of the both of those, I would probably still go with Honesty.

[1:16:34] Andrew: It was a group member. So I think we were just watching, isn't it?

[1:16:38] Elijah: Yeah, it is a group number. It's a group number. It's a Jider duet, Jake and Ryder duet, disguised as a group number.

[1:16:46] Allyson A La Mode: Ooh, and unfortunately,

[1:16:49] Andrew: Unfortunately?

[1:16:50] Allyson A La Mode: I can be the, oh, God, I don't want to go on record saying that.

[1:16:55] Andrew: No, then don't say it.

[1:16:58] Elijah: Wait, there was something, Elijah, that you were, oh, wait, you wanted to say something about Amon. You were like, Amon, and then, and then you stopped yourself. I have heard before from glisteners that people are like, Amon comes onto the glacket, and then like, kind of like, causes chaos.

[1:17:07] Andrew: I feel like, do as I feel like he's sort of, he is, he has the same amount of chaos that I feel like Allison brought through round one.

[1:17:30] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:17:32] Andrew: And like his, you know, everybody has their own opinions, all that sort of stuff. It's just some of his opinions and his choices are just a little, a little fishy.

[1:17:45] Allyson A La Mode: What other ones are we, do we have other specific ones to point to?

[1:17:48] Elijah: Not to put Amon on blast right now, but I'm curious what you're thinking of.

[1:17:53] Andrew: Love you, Amon.

[1:17:54] Elijah: Yes, of course. Love you, don't bad.

[1:17:56] Andrew: Let me, I would have to look.

[1:17:59] Elijah: I know Amon was a big Christmas head, and I agree, I do love a Christmas song. So there were like some competitions that Amon and Allison, or like songs that they would really go hard for, and I'm like, you know what, I agree, hell yeah.

[1:18:13] Andrew: And you know what, sure. Wait, yeah, let's see, what else is Amon? So, oh, Amon did vote for You Can't Stop the Beat last round with you, Allison. Is there any other?

[1:18:22] Elijah: Amon voted for Pretending, and I have to love him for that because Pretending stands rise over Next to Me.

[1:18:38] Andrew: I mean, Elijah, where do you, those songs, both of those songs, Next to Me and Pretending, it was just an unfortunate matchup last round that I'm like, I don't, they're just like too kind of mid to me that I'm like, yeah.

[1:18:57] Elijah: Do you have an opinion on that competition?

[1:19:00] Elijah: Uh, probably Pretending.

[1:19:05] Andrew: Because Next to Me, I already knew before Glee, the Emily Sandé version, and so I'm just going to listen to her version. I don't, I don't like, okay, but I'm not, it is Pride Month, so I can't do Poker Face Slender right now.

[1:19:18] Elijah: But you can't do that.

[1:19:20] Andrew: I like, you know, Shelby and Rachel's Broadway duets, but their pop duets are weird.

[1:19:25] Elijah: So yeah, I feel like Poker Face and Next to Me are sort of brother and sister. And out of the both of them, Poker Face is probably the better out of the two.

[1:19:41] Andrew: But that's not saying much.

[1:19:42] Elijah: But that's, I don't mind Poker Face. It's just, you know, if you're comparing it to the original, it's just such a drastic change.

[1:19:52] Andrew: Yeah, it's so fun. I do want to shout out that today, okay, so on the Patreon, the vote for a song to come back of the 10 songs, someone commented on that poll, Brady, and said, I'm behind and didn't realize all of these bangers and Next to Me were eliminated.

[1:20:16] Elijah: All of these bangers and Next to Me.

[1:20:19] Andrew: Just rubbing salt in the wound.

[1:20:23] Elijah: It's like, oh.

[1:20:27] Andrew: Lisa Mon, you know, tried to advocate for pretending, because I know that a lot of, yep, see, pretending is camp. I love pretending so much. I love, pretending isn't always streamed for me.

[1:20:37] Elijah: And also, I wanted to say, one last thing about Amon, his Glocket history, is that I'm seeing that he did help get Cry through to round three in his live stream episode.

[1:20:49] Andrew: Which I appreciate.

[1:20:50] Elijah: Oh, you're a crier?

[1:20:53] Andrew: I'm a crier, yeah.

[1:20:55] Elijah: What is it about Cry?

[1:20:57] Andrew: So it, honestly, before the whole Cryers Keep Crying Whatever situation, I wasn't, Cry wasn't in my, you know, vision. But I started listening to it, and I feel like it's a very, it's a very emotional, impactful song. I feel like the girls and gays who get it, get it, and those who don't, don't.

[1:21:25] Elijah: Now, is that her Nyada rejection? Is that in Choke?

[1:21:28] Andrew: Yeah, it's like, I gotta.

[1:21:30] Elijah: I think so.

[1:21:31] Andrew: If that's in Choke, that's the final number of Choke.

[1:21:33] Elijah: She's like, I gotta, I'm sorry, I gotta go into the auditorium and rollo.

[1:21:37] Andrew: I gotta rollo.

[1:21:38] Elijah: I gotta get this out of my system.

[1:21:40] Andrew: I remember on Tumblr, people were like, oh, we get, wait, no. Because they're like, oh, we get Rachel's whole crash out, but we don't get Kurt's crash out from when he gets rejected.

[1:21:52] Elijah: That's true.

[1:21:54] Andrew: But that's not the same.

[1:21:55] Elijah: Is that the same episode?

[1:21:57] Andrew: So, Choke is Not the Boy Next Door.

[1:22:00] Elijah: Yeah, so like, that's Pleak, Pleak.

[1:22:02] Andrew: Yeah, Pleak, Pleak Gate, and Not the Boy Next Door, and then Cry at the end of the episode.

[1:22:10] Elijah: But like, at the end of the episode, Kurt's on his high horse, and he's like, I crushed. And Rachel's like, oh, which he did. And Rachel did not do well.

[1:22:21] Andrew: And so that's why, yeah, she was like, oh, Trump, this new version of Trump wasn't on iTunes, the one that I sang earlier this episode. I need to have a rollo this episode. Therefore, Cry.

[1:22:31] Elijah: Gotta get it in there.

[1:22:34] Andrew: And what's funny is, it was up against Need U Now, which I literally was talking shit about earlier, but I would have voted for Need U Now.

[1:22:42] Elijah: Oh, I, yeah, it's, it's good. It's straight coded, but like, fine, whatever.

[1:22:49] Andrew: Okay, and that is literally how I feel about Just Give Me a Reason.

[1:22:55] Elijah: No, there's something, there's something so different in the DNA.

[1:22:58] Andrew: They look very similar on paper.

[1:23:01] Elijah: Need U Now, I don't know. Maybe they're cousins by marriage.

[1:23:05] Andrew: The cousins by marriage. There we go. Um, Elijah, is there any, any final grievances that we would like to bring to the table at this very moment?

[1:23:11] Elijah: Uh, yes, there is one big one that has not been sitting well with me. And I know it's probably a hot take, a very hot take. But Home K-Chan's version versus On My Own.

[1:23:31] Andrew: Okay.

[1:23:32] Elijah: Ooh, that's hard for me.

[1:23:34] Andrew: And On My Own won, but Home Season 1, that is my girly, that is my baby.

[1:23:42] Elijah: I do love her a lot.

[1:23:43] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:23:44] Elijah: A problematic fave, if you will.

[1:23:46] Andrew: It surely is.

[1:23:47] Elijah: That was, that was the only competition where I had a visceral reaction to the voting.

[1:23:55] Andrew: And that was the, I'm looking at the, the, your voting history across the board.

[1:24:01] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:24:02] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:24:02] Elijah: Which, which hurt my heart.

[1:24:03] Andrew: Not even a pity vote is a little crazy to me.

[1:24:05] Elijah: I know. I was like, I was sure like that I would get a pity vote in there for Home. But wow.

[1:24:10] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:24:11] Elijah: Home, Home to me, I would say is at least in my top 20. I do stream that version, unfortunately. And that's probably blasphemous for me.

[1:24:22] Andrew: But I, I don't know. It's just so funny. And she leans into it.

[1:24:27] Elijah: She leans into the camp of it.

[1:24:28] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:24:30] Elijah: It's so beautiful.

[1:24:31] Andrew: It's probably her best vocals.

[1:24:34] Elijah: Like, I would say, oh, wait, wait, wait, there are, there are a lot to consider. Actually, we have maybe this time and One Less Bell, right?

[1:24:43] Andrew: I would still say Home. If we're talking, if we, if we had the Halolo conversation, if we had the, the Gwyneth Paltrow vocal ranking, now we're here. What are we saying is number one?

[1:24:52] Elijah: K-Chang and April Rolo.

[1:24:55] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:24:56] Elijah: Rodolo.

[1:24:59] Andrew: Home, Home, Home is number one.

[1:25:01] Elijah: I don't know what, it just has such a special place in my heart.

[1:25:06] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:25:08] Elijah: It was, I think one year it was like my top five most listened to songs out of everything, not just Glee songs, but it was like number, it was like number three. I think it's just, plus you have the storyline with, is it Mercedes?

[1:25:25] Andrew: Mercedes and Quinn looking at each other, getting emo.

[1:25:29] Elijah: Yes.

[1:25:29] Andrew: And then you have the shot of Mercedes belting with like the tear running down her face. It's just like.

[1:25:35] Elijah: I need to see, and I'm used to streaming this song. So now you're saying, I'm like, okay, I need to rewatch it.

[1:25:40] Andrew: No, there's so much there actually.

[1:25:42] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:25:42] Andrew: And it did not give up any vote is crazy.

[1:25:46] Elijah: Why do I feel like I also really like the instrumental of Home Glee Cast version by Glee Cast that like, it like the, I really, is this found in every single version of Home? The, there's something specific about like, at the very beginning of Home, you know?

[1:26:04] Andrew: Like, is it, what, what instrument is that?

[1:26:06] Elijah: Is that out on a limb right now? Is that a triangle?

[1:26:11] Andrew: Maybe, maybe.

[1:26:15] Elijah: A glockenspiel?

[1:26:17] Andrew: What instrument is that at the beginning of Home?

[1:26:20] Elijah: I'm, whatever it is, I'm obsessed.

[1:26:23] Andrew: Yeah, but Home, Home versus On My Own, like, I get the, like, impact of On My Own. It is, it is a no stream for me.

[1:26:34] Elijah: Oh, yeah.

[1:26:37] Andrew: I, wait, but I think we voted. I do recall that we voted for On My Own in favor of Home.

[1:26:45] Elijah: Because of the character introduction of Rachel.

[1:26:50] Andrew: We, there's so much in On My Own that it's like, yes, within this performance, we're getting, it was so wrong!

[1:27:00] Elijah: Her in Principal Figgin's office.

[1:27:02] Andrew: There's just so much, her storming down the hallway.

[1:27:05] Elijah: I have two gay dads.

[1:27:06] Andrew: The turkey baster line.

[1:27:08] Elijah: And it's like, I'm like, that is just, it holds so much, that performance.

[1:27:14] Andrew: And it's the believable thing. Like, a theater kid would sing, she would sing On My Own. Like, it's just like, so realistic.

[1:27:22] Elijah: Yeah, it, I mean, I get it. And like, I've sort of come to peace with it. But like, that is my baby.

[1:27:30] Andrew: I, I was, I'm not trying to sell you one.

[1:27:32] Elijah: I know that you love this girl so bad.

[1:27:34] Andrew: Yeah, so, yeah, I like Home. But also people kind of don't like what Home, K-Chen version did in round one. People have been after me in the past because that it killed Creep.

[1:27:51] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:27:53] Andrew: So I, I did have that as a grievance. But it's sort of a, I'm fine with it. It just sucks. Because like, if it wasn't, if it was any other song that sent Creep home, I would be upset. But since it's Home, my baby, I am, I am fine with it.

[1:28:13] Elijah: Creep is, Creep is, you know, one of the better vocals in season five.

[1:28:20] Andrew: Is that four?

[1:28:21] Elijah: Is it four?

[1:28:22] Andrew: Four.

[1:28:23] Elijah: Is that Brody's final?

[1:28:24] Andrew: Yes.

[1:28:25] Elijah: Yeah, it's Brody's final appearance.

[1:28:26] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:28:27] Elijah: Yeah, he's like, it's gonna suck seeing you around.

[1:28:30] Andrew: And I'm like, baby, we never see you again.

[1:28:32] Elijah: We'll never see you again.

[1:28:35] Andrew: Where?

[1:28:38] Elijah: You'll never be back on this show.

[1:28:41] Andrew: Anyway, I thank you for pouring one out for Home, Kate Chen version. It's really beautiful.

[1:28:46] Elijah: What are you manifesting?

[1:28:51] Andrew: Oh, wait, go ahead. What did you want to say?

[1:28:53] Elijah: Sorry, just just one more for round three.

[1:28:56] Elijah: Okay.

[1:28:57] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:28:59] Elijah: Keep Holding On versus Ice Ice Baby.

[1:29:02] Andrew: What were we doing?

[1:29:03] Elijah: Why did I not bring that up?

[1:29:04] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:29:05] Elijah: I think, did you, I'd have to, did you vote for, I think you voted for Ice Ice Baby, Andrew.

[1:29:13] Andrew: It was unanimous.

[1:29:15] Elijah: It was unanimous.

[1:29:16] Andrew: Which is crazy to me.

[1:29:19] Elijah: Crazy.

[1:29:20] Andrew: Insane.

[1:29:44] Allyson A La Mode: Not "Ice Ice Baby." Okay, so I explained when I told you I was on FaceTime with my friend with your spreadsheet open and I was telling her, I was like, one of my grievances is this competition. And she has not even watched season five, so I explained to her like this. I was like, and then she comes back with her boyfriend and then Puck sings and they get up and do the original choreography. Anyway, that lost against "Ice Ice Baby," and she was like, I thought that was such an interesting competition. I'm sure that I brought it up in the episode, but like the fact that it was the last Polo versus the last Wolo, and so like only one could continue on to round four. And what would you have rather, just character-wise, I suppose?

I know that we're looking at the performances, but do we want Puck going forward to round four or do we want Will? I can count on maybe two fingers, one finger the amount of Puck solos I can tolerate, and a lot of it, and I want to say that is like one of them.

[1:30:54] Elijah: Yeah, I would agree. I would say there are more songs by Puck that I enjoy more than there are for Will. Yeah, I mean, I'm a big fan of the Wuwets. The Wuwets! I'm a big Wuwet stan of all of his duets. What ones are you thinking of right now? I mean, "One Less Bell to Answer," "You and I," um, uh-huh. So anything that he sings with the Wicked girls, right? Well, oh right, well the Wuwet, a Wicked Wuwet, the Wicked Wuwet, a Wicked, uh, washing Wuwet. But washing Wuwet is not the same, but I'm without a one.

[1:31:41] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, but no, I, yeah, I don't know. The vocals, at least, like even if we're not watching the show, I stream Will duets a lot because they always blend so well.

[1:31:46] Elijah: That's a really good point. Yeah, even "Kiss Kiss" is probably the worst one, but it's still like fine.

[1:31:53] Allyson A La Mode: I, yeah, yeah, Will will be like represented, kind of continue to be represented in duets further than "Ice Ice Baby." I'm positive, you know? I don't know, "Ice Ice Baby," it's fun to watch, but I think I'm just a sucker for a callback. Like in any TV show, I'm a sucker for a callback. As soon as those kids stood up and started doing the choreo, I'm losing it. I don't know, even though the context is convoluted, like, oh, remember who you are, a teen mom, whatever. I'm not listening to that; I'm looking at them doing the choreo, Rachel looking at her like, I don't know.

[1:32:34] Elijah: Wait, but I say "Ice Ice Baby." One last thing about "Ice Ice Baby" is that like they're cute, they're having fun, they're cute, they're fine. Jonathan Groff's in the Glee club, let's have fun, right?

[1:32:47] Allyson A La Mode: Well then, if that's the case, then what's the one where the ending number that he's in? Was it, did that like "A Prayer"? "Like a Prayer," still in the cup, which he's, and he's not in the MP4. He's only on the MP3 because I was listening to it and I was like, no, he was on this song. Is he? No, he's, oh wait, okay, I know that like on Spotify and Apple Music it says like "Like a Prayer," Glee cast version featuring Jonathan Groff. I just listened to it before this recording, but is he actually in the MP4 version? That was the, yeah, I don't know.

[1:33:22] Elijah: Yeah, because it took me by surprise when his vocal came in and I was like, oh, I forgot he had a solo in this. Hmm, um, and it's good. Yeah, I do like "Like a Prayer" a lot. Um, Elijah, is there anything else that you would like to add at this moment?

[1:33:37] Allyson A La Mode: I think that is all for the moment. That was wonderful, and thank you again for all the hard Glerk that you have put into this Glockument. It's so stunning, and I am constantly referring back to it. It's so helpful. I love it. It's really, really great. I'm very thankful. Um, Elijah, is there anything that you are manifesting for this very competition for yourself?

[1:34:04] Elijah: Um, like I said, like a ballad, something with runs and belting, like "I Know Where I've Been." I would love to get that. Showtunes, showtunes. Um, and then also I am a sucker for a mashup, so like a majority of the mashups, I would love to get a mashup, specifically "Anything Goes" and "Anything You Can Do."

[1:34:31] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, great shout out! Yes. Um, wait, how did, wait, did I ask how did you feel about the first competition in this episode? Where do you stand on that?

[1:34:39] Elijah: Um, I would have done "Touch a Touch a Touch a Touch Me."

[1:34:43] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, okay, so you're happy?

[1:34:54] Elijah: Yes, very happy. Okay, great. Um, okay, here we go, last competition. It was coming out. We do have a mashup for you. Yes, here it is from, um, you know what, I'm just gonna show you the first frame. See if you can get it. Let me, I'm so scared. Um, we have not even like kind of remotely went in the direction of this song at all. Okay, so do you see what it is?

[1:35:21] Elijah: Oh my gosh, I love this song! It is "Hungry Like the Wolf."

[1:35:34] Elijah: Okay, would you like to start the discourse here? I love this mashup so much. Like, I don't, if there, I really wish that they had more of Matt Bomer in the show. Like, that is a wasted opportunity. Like, we got this song and then "Somebody That I Used to Know," which are very, very good songs. But yeah, it's a good mashup. Like, I love it. It's really good. I will say though, this might ruffle some feathers, but this is like when I am asked like competitions that I regret. Like if I would have like went back in time and like voted in a different way, I was the determining vote on this competition last round with "Uninvited." And I remember it was a Pat live stream episode, and I voted for this over "Uninvited."

And I think that the reasoning that I provided was that like they're both very similarly placed again where it's like these are songs that I really like, kind of like this very similar amount. It's a good competition. Um, but I voted for the Duran Duran mashup because like they're doing something interesting with the song where they're like, they're mashing up these two songs and they're doing it effectively. I, since then, which was like almost like a full year ago, I like really, really fell back in love with "Uninvited," and I think she's a beautiful, beautiful girl. I think that like she's like kind of, she is my cry. To put it into terms that maybe you'll understand, I feel like they kind of like satisfy a similar, um, they're the gutterolo, of course.

Um, but like there's something so high drama and stupid about "Uninvited" that I am really, really obsessed with. So I just want to pour one out for my baby cry, uh, my baby not cry, my baby, uh, "Uninvited." I, um, I do miss you so much, and I honestly do wish that I watched you right now instead of this, which I know I, I do like this. I do like this, but I just, I miss "Uninvited" in the sense that, you know what I mean? Um, but this is still good. I just really, I miss "Uninvited." She was uninvited to round four. So anyway, Allison, what are you thinking?

[1:38:08] Allyson A La Mode: "Big Brother" is not an episode that I generally reach for, um, but just the whole setup of this is like first Matt Bomer and Darren Criss don't look anything alike to me. Like, they're not, this is just such a random, I feel like this is the definition of modern-day filler episode, like of a sitcom because like crazy.

[1:38:31] Elijah: Thank you! You can list right out like it is, but you know what? We need to bring back filler episodes into modern-day society, so that's fine.

[1:38:38] Allyson A La Mode: That's a very good point because like these seasons are seven, eight episodes and that's it, and we don't have time for filler episodes.

[1:38:49] Elijah: Um, do you remember watching this episode live?

[1:38:57] Allyson A La Mode: Yes, like of course, where it was like we had to wait, I think like maybe two months after "On My Way," and we were like, they were like, hey, here's your new episode after that really great one that was, we're gonna meet brother. We're gonna meet my brother! Piss me off! Piss me off! Like, okay, I can't be the only person that associates "Hungry Like the Wolf" with "Big Fat Liar." That is, I just picture Paul Giamatti dancing around his pool.

[1:39:24] Elijah: Okay, you've never seen "Big Fat Liar"?

[1:39:32] Allyson A La Mode: I watched it when I was young.

[1:39:36] Elijah: Wait, that he turns blue? Yes, his name is Marty Wolf. Okay, so they're playing "Hungry Like the Wolf," and then he's like dancing around his pool, and then when he dives in the pool, then he like turns blue. Very iconic.

[1:39:41] Allyson A La Mode: Oh my god, okay, I know I'm not alone. I know I'm not alone.

[1:39:46] Elijah: Frankie, Frankie Muniz, right?

[1:39:46] Allyson A La Mode: Right, Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes. Yes. Um, but I, Emily in the chat does not know "Rio" apart from this song. I agree, I don't know who "Rio" is. I know the bird "Rio." I don't know the song "Rio." Like the thing that I, I wouldn't even, this isn't, it's a good mashup, but the only part they're mashing up from "Rio" is the chorus. Nothing else.

[1:40:09] Elijah: Oh, so it's like almost like the "I Feel Pretty/Unpretty" effect?

[1:40:15] Allyson A La Mode: Yes, well the chorus, but at least it's a chorus and not just a line over and over again.

[1:40:22] Elijah: Yeah, yeah, because even, it's really, there's not even, I guess that is all the "Hungry Like the Wolf" verses. I was thinking that during the performance also during this performance, the direction of this episode, there were too many cuts that like during the performance, I literally went like this. I was like, oh, am I gonna have a seizure?

[1:40:35] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah, well also, did anybody have eyes on Santana the entire performance? Because baby girl wasn't, Santana at one point, did you catch that? That there was, I did it, that there was past like the week Edie Gibson that, um, that was like, and she fully just like, she has, okay, so Edie Gibson, she, I, she's actually featured at the very beginning of "Cry" as like Rachel's like walking down the hallway. Like you can see her very clearly. Um, I recall that like she, she does always have like a swoop bang, um, a Cheerio extra. And so I think that she talked about in her episode in round one that like Naya wasn't available, like the full like shooting of this performance, and then they brought her in to sit in the choir chair, but didn't change her hair to like reflect the Naya slick back.

So it's just like, it is like a very quick shot that they use, but it's like, she still has this swoop bang and it's like, that's definitely not Santana. So the cuts were so drastic, I couldn't even focus on that, but I'm looking forward to seeing it in the carousel. You know it's gonna be in the carousel.

[1:41:47] Elijah: Yeah, oh my god, am I the only one? Like the cuts and the close, it was so distracting. At one point they got worse, like you were cutting from Blaine and Cooper then to, you know, Mercedes to, you know, Blaine on top of the piano, and then you were cutting to Will and Sue. It was very disorienting.

[1:42:12] Allyson A La Mode: I just feel like every time that I watch this performance, I don't know if you'll agree, but like I associate this episode with like the Spanish teacher that like the choir room feels like weirdly empty. Do you know what I mean? Like it doesn't feel as full as it usually is and like why are there only like seven people watching that? You know what I mean?

[1:42:33] Elijah: Yeah, yeah, but that could also be the direction. Like it's like so many wide shots because they want to capture the cute little brother choreography that they remember so perfectly from their childhood.

[1:42:42] Allyson A La Mode: Right, but it's funny, it's cute, and like Darren Criss is just micro-acting like his facial expressions, like when he's like, okay, please stop, this is where I go to school. Like, I don't know, he deserved his Tony.

[1:43:01] Elijah: Dick Tony winner Darren Criss!

[1:43:01] Allyson A La Mode: I also view Tony winner Darren Criss. Absolutely! I remember, I feel like the way that I view them bringing in Matt Bomer for this episode is like almost like an audition for like to see how, I don't know, I don't know if I have like really anything to back this up with, but like it's like Ryan Murphy being like, hey, Matt Bomer is someone that I would like to continue working with potentially. Let's see how, I don't know, I don't know if I have like really anything to back this up with, but like it's like Ryan Murphy being like, hey, Matt Bomer is someone that I would like to continue working with potentially. Let's see how he is on one episode of Glee. And then it's like he did well, and so now he's on American Horror Story, you know?

Like he did well, um, this pilot, what do you call it? The test pilot. And I'm like, okay, why did we need to watch it? Why did we need to watch his audition tape? You know what I mean? It's like a good episode, but it's also like at this point in the series, I'm smart enough as a Gleek to realize that this is not going to be a character that we should kind of like take any stock in, you know what I mean? That it's like I've seen this film too many times before. This is a character that is in and out by the, like by in 45 minutes, you know?

[1:44:16] Elijah: But it's a really great performance, and I feel like we're really, we're talking a lot of negative about this performance, but it's a beautiful, beautiful, it's a good mashup. It's definitely a streamable mashup for me. Like if it just came on, I'd be like, oh yeah, this is kind of in my head along. It's a good, it's a good mashup.

[1:44:29] Allyson A La Mode: I could take it or leave it. Uh, is that end of discussion for the Duran Duran mashup? Is that it?

[1:44:41] Andrew: I believe so.

[1:44:43] Andrew: Okay, last song of the episode.

[1:44:47] Allyson A La Mode: Ooh, another Death Star duet. Huh.

[1:44:51] Allyson A La Mode: I love a duet.

[1:44:54] Andrew: This is an interesting competition that I know that people will be mad with either way.

[1:44:58] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, God.

[1:44:59] Andrew: People feel really strongly about this. I guess both performances. You will be able to get it.

[1:45:07] Andrew: Here we go.

[1:45:08] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, God.

[1:45:12] Andrew: You know what this is?

[1:45:14] Allyson A La Mode: Here Comes the Sun.

[1:45:15] Andrew: It is Here Comes the Sun.

[1:45:18] Allyson A La Mode: This competition could make me scream.

[1:45:20] Andrew: Yeah, that's gonna hard.

[1:45:23] Allyson A La Mode: Guys, this is really hard.

[1:45:26] Andrew: Guys, I...

[1:45:28] Allyson A La Mode: Go ahead. What are you thinking?

[1:45:31] Andrew: Me?

[1:45:32] Allyson A La Mode: Yeah.

[1:45:33] Andrew: Oh, it's Pride Month.

[1:45:36] Allyson A La Mode: I know.

[1:45:36] Andrew: I think Dorothy in the chat said MLM versus WLW.

[1:45:41] Allyson A La Mode: And that surely it is.

[1:45:43] Andrew: Man loving man. You mean brother.

[1:45:47] Allyson A La Mode: I always wanted a brother.

[1:45:52] Andrew: They sound so good. And it's one of those, when I'm talking about believability, like this feels like a believable introduction to like, oh, my co-worker, we're rehearsing.

[1:46:05] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, okay.

[1:46:06] Andrew: Versus like, do I believe that Matt Bomer is Blaine's brother? No, I don't know.

[1:46:11] Allyson A La Mode: Wait, okay, because you're saying believability. And I'm like, no, this song does kind of, it has believability in the sense that it's like Santana, love interest, co-worker, all of that.

[1:46:24] Andrew: But when they start walking down that New York City street, I'm like, where the hell are they supposed to be?

[1:46:28] Allyson A La Mode: You know what I mean?

[1:46:31] Andrew: In the Universal Studios backlot.

[1:46:33] Allyson A La Mode: Right.

[1:46:36] Andrew: Wait, does Danny in the episode say like, I walk home?

[1:46:40] Allyson A La Mode: Like, so is this supposed to be like Midtown?

[1:46:44] Andrew: Right. Because this is not what the behind Ellen Stardust looks like.

[1:46:48] Allyson A La Mode: Midtown where? I would like to see it.

[1:46:53] Elijah: What are you thinking of this performance?

[1:46:56] Elijah: I miss Naya. Like, just in this song, in this performance, she is so beautiful. Like, the shots of her looking up at Danny were like, bringing tears to my eyes.

[1:47:12] Allyson A La Mode: Oh, yeah.

[1:47:14] Elijah: Like, it's, this is a very good song. I do wish that they did more with Danny than, you know, Roar, or like, more songs like this with Danny, I feel like would have brought a lot to the show and the season in general.

[1:47:30] Andrew: The glorified extra in Into the Groove, where she's just on that damn keyboard in the back.

[1:47:40] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:47:41] Andrew: What does Danny representation look like right now?

[1:47:44] Elijah: Danny representation is...

[1:47:46] Andrew: Yeah, yeah, I think it is it just okay, so Roar is...

[1:47:50] Elijah: Roar, Fox?

[1:47:51] Andrew: Roar is out. Into the Groove is out. The Happening is out. Hold On, oh, also out.

[1:48:02] Elijah: Oh, I was like, oh, hold on.

[1:48:04] Andrew: Sorry.

[1:48:07] Elijah: Did you say The Happening?

[1:48:09] Andrew: The Happening.

[1:48:10] Elijah: What is that?

[1:48:12] Andrew: Did you say The Happening?

[1:48:14] Elijah: The Happening.

[1:48:15] Andrew: What is that?

[1:48:16] Elijah: I know. The Happening is like, kind of like, not a lot of people are talking about this Glee cast version of my Glee cast. Hey, life, look at me. I could see the da da da da da. Move me do dee da da da da. It happened. Suddenly it just happened. The Happening. Oh, do you? This is not ringing a bell at all?

[1:48:40] Andrew: I feel like I'm being punked and you just made that up.

[1:48:43] Elijah: No, it sounds like a fake song.

[1:48:45] Andrew: Is it when they become the 1-3-Hill or is it...

[1:48:48] Elijah: 1-3, that's the one song by 1-3-Hill.

[1:48:51] Andrew: Okay, we'll see.

[1:48:53] Elijah: Well, it was out round one. That's all we need to know.

[1:48:57] Andrew: That's all it needed to be.

[1:48:59] Elijah: But I think it's like, it is a great, it's great vocals all around for Chris Colfer, Adam Lambert, and Demi Lovato, of course. It's just like such a forgettable song, unfortunately.

[1:49:13] Andrew: But this is the Denny representation.

[1:49:16] Elijah: This is it.

[1:49:18] Andrew: Hey, this is it.

[1:49:19] Elijah: They sound so good.

[1:49:22] Andrew: I will say that these songs are kind of, okay, so Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, and Here Comes the Sun are, they encapsulate songs that kind of, it's like something about them when they originally aired, Pissed Me Off.

[1:49:39] Elijah: So with Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, Pissed Me Off, because it's like, okay, the Quarquash just happened in the last episode, and now we're going into Blaine Brother, you know?

[1:49:51] Andrew: And I just don't, I'm so tired. Like, I'm just like, can you, can we, I waited two months for this. I'm mad.

[1:50:00] Elijah: With this, I remember at the end of season four, I was like, I remember with Heather Morris leaving the show, I fully thought, I was like, okay, these fictional gay women are the only thing that I really care about right now. And you're telling me that one of them will not be on the show anymore. I remember being like, don't talk to me, to my friend group that week. I was like, you don't understand what I'm going through. My ship is completely over.

[1:50:29] Andrew: And so then with season five starting, and then the Britney slander that comes, of course, in this episode, with Demi Lovato being like, you should be with a full lesbian, aka me. I was like, you shut your mouth.

[1:50:49] Elijah: Were you on Tumblr during this?

[1:50:55] Andrew: Not posting. I would be like, I would be just, you know, what would you, what would you call that? Just, yeah, watch it.

[1:51:02] Elijah: I'm just wondering, like, because Demi was so big in her own right, did she get the same amount of hate that Kord got when they, you know what I'm saying? Like, because Britannia is no more. Like, were people really like, torch and pitchforks for Demi?

[1:51:19] Andrew: I remember that people really, like, were excited for Demi. I remember that there were, like, it was so weird that they, like, already had, like, like a fandom name, the Dantana Shippers, that they called themselves the Little Darlings.

[1:51:36] Elijah: Hated that.

[1:51:38] Andrew: Hated that so much.

[1:51:40] Elijah: Where did that come from?

[1:51:42] Andrew: Okay.

[1:51:42] Elijah: Little Darling.

[1:51:44] Andrew: Yes.

[1:51:45] Elijah: I was like, why?

[1:51:47] Andrew: Okay.

[1:51:49] Elijah: Sure.

[1:51:50] Andrew: And so, but I also, it's, they really, both performances, like, elicit a very similar sense with, like, the pissed off part of it, which is valid. But then, like, also all these years later, to be able to look at both performances and be like, yeah, they're, they sound great. These are two good performances. I really do like it. I do stream Here Comes the Sun, and I'm not mad about it.

[1:52:14] Elijah: I remember that I was, like, very anti-even, like, listening to it in 2013. I was like, I can't listen to this. I can't support this. I'm loyal to my ship. I'm loyal. Britannia is the most important thing to me. This is blasphemous.

[1:52:31] Andrew: So, yeah, I don't know. This is something, this is, again, this is a very difficult competition. But what else do we have to say?

[1:52:38] Allyson A La Mode: It's so good.

[1:52:44] Allyson A La Mode: I mean, okay, there's no representation for Matt Bomer. But again, like I said, his episode lifts right out of this entire series. We do not reference anything in this episode ever again, do we, Big Brother?

[1:53:01] Elijah: They make a joke in 100 about, like, they were like, April, how do you know Holly? And then they were like, there's a Facebook group with the Spanish guy and Blaine's brother and Rachel's mom.

[1:53:12] Andrew: Yes, that's the only reference that I can think of.

[1:53:15] Elijah: A joke.

[1:53:15] Andrew: Yes.

[1:53:16] Elijah: But I feel like, I'm just making things up. In terms of people deserving representation, somebody who was on the show longer versus one episode.

[1:53:26] Andrew: Oh, that's interesting.

[1:53:31] Elijah: Where do you stand on that, Elijah?

[1:53:34] Elijah: I don't know. I feel like no matter what in this competition, there are going to be people who will be mad no matter what. I mean, to me, I stream Hungry like the Wolf Rio more than I stream Here Comes the Sun. But I don't know.

[1:53:52] Andrew: We're sort of like, I don't know, it's a hard competition.

[1:54:04] Elijah: Is that a ballad? Does that fall under the ballad category for you?

[1:54:08] Andrew: Here Comes the Sun?

[1:54:10] Elijah: Yeah.

[1:54:11] Andrew: Uh, I wouldn't say it. Like, when I think of ballads, I think of like, I Know Where I've Been.

[1:54:19] Elijah: My Man.

[1:54:20] Andrew: My Man.

[1:54:22] Elijah: The Strong Balladeers.

[1:54:23] Andrew: Yes.

[1:54:24] Elijah: Balladeer?

[1:54:25] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:54:28] Elijah: Yeah, I don't know. If I had to choose one over the other, I would probably do...

[1:54:41] Allyson A La Mode: Are we doing the vote? Are we doing it now?

[1:54:43] Andrew: I mean, I'm still not 100% sure. I could maybe sway either way.

[1:54:53] Elijah: I know, that's why.

[1:54:54] Andrew: So we all feel swayable?

[1:54:58] Elijah: Sway?

[1:54:58] Andrew: Gleecast version by Gleecast?

[1:55:00] Elijah: I have points on either side. So like, because Hungry like the Wolf is streamable. Like, it's a banger.

[1:55:06] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:55:07] Elijah: But then, I don't know. I have like a new appreciation after watching this MP4 of Here Comes the Sun. I feel like the MP4 of Here Comes the Sun adds a lot more to the song.

[1:55:24] Andrew: But like, if we're just listening to the MP3s, I feel like there's one song that I would listen to over the other.

[1:55:35] Elijah: I do want to say something that I caught in the MP4 with this that I've never caught before is that I was always under the understanding that there were no customers at the diner when they're singing this song. There are fully like maybe like four tables that have people like customers at them. And I'm like, loving this universe where it's like, our waitresses are ignoring us. And they're really feeling each other right now. And they're also leaving the restaurant.

[1:56:08] Andrew: Like, I'm waiting on my breakfast right now.

[1:56:11] Elijah: And you guys are, you guys are really, you're in your own world.

[1:56:15] Andrew: But then big picture, it's a singing restaurant. You're telling me it's a 24 hour singing restaurant?

[1:56:22] Elijah: You're singing?

[1:56:23] Andrew: You guys are singing around the clock. What songs are you singing at 3am on a Tuesday, you know?

[1:56:31] Elijah: Pumping blood.

[1:56:33] Andrew: Pumping blood.

[1:56:34] Elijah: And the whole wide world was whistling.

[1:56:38] Andrew: I do feel, after talking about it, I do feel more confident in what my vote will be. I do want to shout out Amelia when we did start this performance. She jumped to conclusions, maybe, that like, she was like, oh, I can't afford to lose another Blaine feature. I feel like I gotta go with Hungry Like the Wolf Rio.

[1:57:05] Allyson A La Mode: Okay, I also know my vote. And unfortunately, Allison, I'm so, so, so, so sorry. I'm voting for Here Comes the Sun.

[1:57:13] Andrew: Oh, God.

[1:57:20] Allyson A La Mode: Do you want, do you want anything from us?

[1:57:24] Andrew: Okay, I just...

[1:57:25] Allyson A La Mode: We put you in a really bad situation.

[1:57:27] Andrew: We're like, hey, do you need anything?

[1:57:31] Allyson A La Mode: My dad always would bring me a cup of water when I cry.

[1:57:37] Andrew: Or whatever she's doing. What are you thinking? What's going on?

[1:57:40] Allyson A La Mode: I just...

[1:57:43] Allyson A La Mode: I think when I was like, oh, I never watched Big Brother. And now I'm like, watching the clip. And I'm like, for good reason.

[1:57:50] Andrew: I'm just like, it's, it's like, because that's season two, right? Or no, season three.

[1:57:56] Elijah: Season three.

[1:57:57] Andrew: Yeah, it is. And then what episode?

[1:58:03] Elijah: Oh, the Beatles episode.

[1:58:04] Andrew: Hello.

[1:58:05] Elijah: The second one, yeah.

[1:58:08] Andrew: Which I mean, there are a lot of Beatles covers in the show, and not as many Duran Duran covers.

[1:58:16] Elijah: Is this it? End of list?

[1:58:18] Andrew: Well, this is...

[1:58:20] Elijah: No, Girls on Film, which...

[1:58:24] Andrew: Gone.

[1:58:25] Elijah: Gone.

[1:58:26] Andrew: Unfortunately.

[1:58:27] Elijah: You don't have to like, Duran Duran, just love me.

[1:58:31] Andrew: What is that?

[1:58:32] Elijah: That's from the last five years.

[1:58:37] Andrew: Wait, what is the context of that line?

[1:58:40] Elijah: She's like, you don't have to, you don't have to do all this stuff. You don't have to like Duran Duran, just, just love me.

[1:58:46] Andrew: I don't know. That's really, that's really cute. You don't have to like, you don't have to eat prosciutto. You don't have to learn to tango.

[1:58:52] Elijah: Yeah, last five years representation, which looks like it was filmed in the same exact place they were walking after work.

[1:58:59] Andrew: Bam. It all comes back to Broadway. I don't...

[1:59:01] Elijah: Okay, I was inclined to vote for Here Comes the Sun before you said you were voting for Here Comes the Sun, but I still, I...

[1:59:09] Andrew: But now I'm feeling bad because I do, I do stream Hungry Like the Wolf Rio more than Here Comes the Sun. I will say, Emily in the chat is shocked at my vote. It's pride month. I'm, Elijah, you, you bringing attention to the fact that, that Naya is a gorgeous girl who we miss dearly, did pull some leverage for me, I will say. And I think that it...

[1:59:38] Andrew: Here comes the sun, growth. I'm just like, happy that I'm able to like, look past Britannia hate in this episode. I think, yeah, if I, aside from the biphobia, and the Britannia hate, like, if you're just looking at this scene, and you're like, oh, they're coworkers, and they kind of like each other, and it's cute. Oh, I'm voting for here comes the sun. And there it is. Boom. As Emily said, do it for the lesbians.

[2:00:11] Elijah: And you did. Elijah, I'm so sorry that you were shut out of this competition.

[2:00:17] Elijah: It's fine. I mean, I'm glad here comes the sun. We'll have another, it will have its day in the sun in the future.

[2:00:28] Andrew: Right? No, exactly. And thank you so much for providing a joke for me. Um, I got to give your vote to a mashup.

[2:00:36] Elijah: Yes, you did. Yes, mashup representation.

[2:00:41] Andrew: And Elijah, now your name will be reflected on your glocky man. Well, this is red.

[2:00:46] Elijah: Yeah.

[2:00:47] Andrew: Yeah. I think that people will talk about it. I don't think that people will talk about that first competition touch a touch a touch me versus you learn you've got a friend, but I do think that people will talk about this one that just was had.

[2:01:06] Elijah: I'll be talking about it.

[2:01:09] Andrew: Damn. Yeah. Um, okay. Well, Elijah, thank you very much again for everything. I so, so appreciate you and everything that you do for the community.

[2:01:20] Elijah: Thank you. I'm glad to be a part of this.

[2:01:23] Andrew: So nice to meet you.

[2:01:24] Elijah: Yeah, nice meeting you finally. Um, I would like to recap this episode. Um, ooh, touch a touch a touch me. Hmm. Oh, I was feeling done in. Couldn't. Could win. Could win.

[2:01:45] Andrew: I don't know. Could win and you did. So stupid.

[2:01:50] Elijah: You're gonna touch a touch a touch the round for it as stupid. I don't know. That's better than what I had. Um, you learn you've got a friend. Um, I learned today that I've got a friend. Oh, in hell. In hell. There we go. Hungry like the wolf. Rio. Oh, this is so interesting that both the mashups lost in this episode. Oh, which isn't typical to see it. I hate to see it.

[2:02:22] Andrew: I know. I feel like the mashups are typically do really well, but not this episode. Um, uh, you're hungry for that W and you're not gonna get it. Um, here comes the sun. Here, here comes the W. I don't know why am I saying W. Here comes round four. And you'll have your way in the sun.

[2:02:48] Elijah: Exactly. Andrew just said that, you know, this text message from my straight friend saying like, Hey, can I come to your pride event really threw off my entire day and I'm like, it, it, it touched such a like, deep rooted, like, I literally don't know what to do. I like went out into like, the living room totalized. I was like, I'm about to go into this recording. I feel this is such like a crazy moral dilemma that I'm in right now.

[2:03:18] Andrew: Like, anyway, it's a, but me and my friend always quote, have you seen the animated movie Hercules?

[2:03:26] Elijah: Oh, of course. Yes. And he's like, can I play with you guys? And he's like, we already got five and we want to keep it an even number. Sorry. No, sorry. And he like, holds up three fingers and he's like, we already have five and we want to keep it an even number. So yeah. I don't know. I will respond to her as soon as this recording is over. And I will also listen to wait, what is my homework? I need to listen to.

[2:03:55] Andrew: Oh, just give me a reason.

[2:03:59] Elijah: I need to go listen to just give me a reason and respond to this.

[2:04:01] Andrew: Chandelier? No, elastic heart.

[2:04:04] Elijah: Oh, an elastic heart. That's your, that's your assignment. Anyway. Wait, Alison, did I see that Alamo magic, your shop is open again? Is that true?

[2:04:15] Alison A La Mode: It is. I actually, okay. So that's huge. We're soft launch. I'm easing into it. The background is blurry because the inner machinations of my mind are an enigma and it's a mess back here. But I do have, you know, glee, you know, related. The funny girl.

[2:04:35] Alison A La Mode: I have the glee glitter stickers that is available. I have a sticker that says they sang this on glee. And then, you know, for the, the glitter kids, you know, funny girl with, Oh yes. Oh my God. The blur. Yes. There we go. It's a key chain with Lea Michele herself. So there are some glee items right there on the front page for you.

[2:05:05] Andrew: Wait, I feel like we haven't really talked too much about chess and I feel like you're the person to do it. What are your thoughts and feelings about this?

[2:05:14] Alison A La Mode: So I don't know the plot of chess. The only thing I know about chess is at the gay bar I go to on Mondays for musical Monday, which I often send you videos of they play. I need to go to there. Yes. Yes. They play the clip from chess, which funny enough, I think a Dina Menzel is the playing the role that Leah is playing.

[2:05:31] Alison A La Mode: Yes. Yeah. Then the concert version with Josh Groban. So that's the only takeaway I have. And I'm like, Oh, they're going to be singing the same song.

[2:05:41] Andrew: So I don't know. Is it like challengers?

[2:05:46] Alison A La Mode: Yeah, there were like the social media team is like playing into the challengers parallel where they're like they're saying it and they're like copy, which I find interesting. But I, it from what I understand, I've listened to I don't know if I've actually listened to the entire like soundtrack all the way through. I feel like I made it like halfway through, but I keep on going back to nobody's side is nobody's side. Is this a song that you're familiar with yet?

[2:06:12] Andrew: I think my other homework assignment is to watch the entirety of the concert with Josh Groban and Dina Menzel.

[2:06:16] Alison A La Mode: Okay, I that's for both of us. I Yeah, nobody's side. Literally, and I posted this the story when I because like, I've been listening to it. Every single ding dong day that like, I am obsessed with this song. And like, is it a man? Or is it? No, this is so this is a Dina Menzel. Okay, like, we will be getting the Lea Michele version. It's a canon event. Yes. And, and I, I just know that it's gonna go triple platinum in my ears. Okay, I'm looking at it's just so good.

[2:06:56] Andrew: Oh, there's a Jessica Vosk version. Yeah, I'm okay. That is gonna be my homework assignment today. Because I need to take a break from watching the next normal pro shot. There was another song that I did like, but like nobody's side truly watch this space. It like it that Lea Michele version will will send me to an early grave. Is that the one that you said? She sings something about Glee or she sings that so that's the other one that I I'm forgetting the name right now. But like at the very end of the song, they're like, with that and Glee. And I'm like, what are we as Gleeks supposed to do when we're in the audience during that?

[2:07:40] Elijah: Who knew that post pandemic the Gleeks would continue to be fed? Like, it's so insane that we can continue to get glonten like so consistently.

[2:07:53] Andrew: I will say the meme from the Tony's that went viral was like her worst enemy behind her and instead of Tony awards as work. And my dumb ass, I thought it was real. And I was like, what I thought it was real too in front of it. And then when you look at it, it's like very clearly Photoshop. Microsoft Paint. Yeah. What I was thinking about chess is that, listen, I am not a defender of all the drama and whatnot. I understand. Yeah, I'm aware. But people in the comments, I need us to be for real. We need to be for with ourselves. They're like, you know, there are people are saying like, I would see it if she's not in it. That's fair enough. But there are people saying that they're gonna lose money because she's in it. Are we? Are we literally like, are we being serious?

[2:08:40] Elijah: August Wilson, like, say the theater that funny girl was that right. August Wilson, like made, like, like it was like a record breaking amount, they make all their money back or something. Yeah, it was like an insane achievement because of funny girl. I'm like, so serious. It's an unfortunate situation, the whole lore with that production. But yeah, that's how that's what happened. I got my money. I was at the second preview or her second performance. Like, yeah, I remember. Yeah. So it, you know, it just, it sucks. And that's just that showbiz. But the fact is, she's making she's putting if I wasn't seeing it for Aaron Tveit. Like people are seeing it for Aaron Tveit or her. And it's who you're not losing, man.

Oh, Nick. Nick. Nicholas Christopher. He was funny enough, in Sweeney Todd. He was the understudy for Josh Groban. Oh, he's also he's also from Hamilton. So he has a beautiful voice as well. Yeah. But he is a Broadway guy. I'm hoping he gets even more exposure now than he does in the Broadway community, but they're both going to sound phenomenal.

[2:09:56] Andrew: I feel like you're the person to ask about this. Is this the first Leah Aaron Tveit collab? Have we seen them do any project before together?

[2:10:09] Alison A La Mode: No, because I know and I know that the Gleeks are like screaming right now that Aaron Tveit was in the running to play Finn. Do you know about this lore? I've heard like interviews or he's done like I've seen TikTok people are clipping TikToks because like anything to relate back to Glee. But yeah. I mean, I don't Aaron Tveit's wife is the sister of the guy that is Megan Hilty's understudy that's tumbling down the stairs in Death Becomes Her. Incredible.

[2:10:42] Andrew: There we go. So that works. I'll take that. Yeah. Um, I'm very excited for chess. Are you going when when do you think do you think you're going to get like a similar thing like an opening or no?

[2:10:54] Alison A La Mode: I don't know because we did that massive trip in October. We saw 11 shows in six days, thanks to my color coded spreadsheet planning and dedication. Incredible. And the friends I went with are like, Okay, should we go again in the fall? And I'm like, we'll see. We'll see. Well, because like, there's, there's talks, of course, and nothing has been confirmed. But um, Spelling Bee, I was gonna say also be coming to Broadway as well. And it could possibly stand to reason that Kevin McHale would be associated with this Broadway run.

[2:11:30] Andrew: What is frogs?

[2:11:32] Alison A La Mode: Frogs is a Stephen Sondheim play.

[2:11:35] Andrew: Is this on time? Okay, because I mean, that's what he's in the West.

[2:11:41] Alison A La Mode: That's what he's in right now. But I think it's like a limited run or something. And so but I am excited by the possibility of a, we have Leah Michelle, we have Jonathan Groff, we have Darren Criss, and we have Kevin McHale, all on Broadway at the same time. And also, I feel like no one's like been bringing attention to this fun fact, that like, come fall, we will, this is, this is absolutely confirmed, because it's not with even remove Kevin McHale from the equation. We have the leads of New Directions, Vocal Adrenaline, and The Warblers, all on Broadway.

[2:12:20] Elijah: I did that connection. I have always strived to see any Glee alum. Like if there's going to be Glee in your Playbill bio, I'm set. So I went and saw Grant Gustin. I saw Alex Noble. I saw Lindsay Pierre. Like, who if there's Glee in your bio, I'm following them. Glee Project. I'm seeing McKinley Ibrahim.

[2:12:48] Alison A La Mode: Soon, because she's on the tour. Yeah.

[2:12:50] Elijah: I think so. Yeah, I saw. I did see her when I saw shocked. Oh, I saw with Alex, but she was in the ensemble. Anyway, Alison, is there anything? So we're specifically pointing Gleeks to go to?

[2:13:03] Alison A La Mode: You can, yeah. You can go to AlamodeMagic.com. I am very soft, very, very soft launching. So right now it's kind of mostly stickers I have, like, I'm trying to clear up take an inventory of like, there's a lot. We've been in retirement where I'm opening up like Sue's, like, it's like opening up her Hurt Locker, like all the stuff that once was. So we're getting there.

[2:13:27] Andrew: It's so good.

[2:13:28] Alison A La Mode: I have, like, over 80 different Broadway glitter stickers. And then like I said, right there on the front page for the Gleeks, Don't Stop Believing collection. It's more to come.

[2:13:39] Andrew: Fantastic work. And like, also not to throw anybody under the bus, but some of these creators, they like put out some janky products that like look...

[2:13:46] Alison A La Mode: I, you know,

[2:13:48] Andrew: Your products look so professional and they're so well, like, created, done. They look, I don't know. It's so good.

[2:13:58] Alison A La Mode: But it's funny, I do, you know, I do like product research and like what the streets are saying. And there's cute, like little fan art. And there's cute, like weird, like really niche, like I'm like, who's the really top 1% of Gleek is only going to understand that. But I respect people that niche down. But hopefully on my next New York trip, whenever that may be, we can have a kiki.

[2:14:20] Elijah: We will. Let's have a kiki. And maybe even a Turkey Lurkey time.

[2:14:24] Andrew: Lock the doors.

[2:14:26] Andrew: Thank you so much, Alison. It's always a pleasure.

[2:14:29] Alison A La Mode: Okay, bye!

[2:14:29] Andrew: It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.
