[0:00] Andrew: We've got a mission to find the best song that's ever been on Glee.

[0:09] Andrew: There's no rhyme or reason to it, so don't get mad at me.

[0:18] Andrew: Glacket by Glacket, we'll rank everyone to see which song will move closer to spot number one.

[0:26] Andrew: Gleek of the Week, Gleek, Gleek, Gleek of the Week. It's Gleek, Gleek of the Week.

[0:35] Andrew: Boom, boom, boom. Gotta get that boom, boom, boom. Gotta get that boom, boom, boom.

[0:39] Andrew: I can't remember any of the other lyrics to that song. Claudia, do you recall them?

[0:43] Claudia: There's a pow in there.

[0:45] Claudia: Oh, I got that boom, boom, pow. Them chicken shacking my style.

[0:50] Andrew: That can't be right, but maybe.

[0:52] Claudia: Maybe it is. I know that they're stepping on leprechauns at one point in the song.

[0:56] Claudia: I remember, I'm on the next now. I'm so 2000 and late. No, eight and then late.

[1:03] Andrew: First eight, then late. Anyway.

[1:06] Andrew: Anyway, Claudia, first time on the podcast. How are you feeling about this big moment?

[1:12] Claudia: I feel so excited. I love... Well, it's actually... I'm not even gonna be weird or... I'm gonna be really normal. Again, we're here in round three. My first time ever on this podcast was on a live stream in round two. Can you even believe it?

[1:28] Andrew: I thought that you were going to continue the bit of it being your first time.

[1:31] Claudia: No, no, no, no, no.

[1:32] Claudia: No. Honey, we can't even act like that.

[1:35] Claudia: Honey, I've just been so excited for this all week. Really. I guess it's a Monday.

[1:40] Andrew: Yeah. No, but you've been texting me some very sweet messages about Glacket and Glee proper. And I'm really excited to do this with you today.

[1:52] Claudia: Yay!

[1:54] Andrew: How are you feeling about just, like, Glee generally? I asked Connor and Matt a few weeks ago. Glee, how are you feeling about it right now?

[2:03] Claudia: Glee, how are we feeling about it right now? I've been, like... It's been making me really emotional in a bizarre way lately.

[2:11] Andrew: In a good way or a bad way?

[2:13] Claudia: I don't know. I feel like I haven't watched, like, a proper episode of Glee in a while because I am at the point where I've, like, seen it all too many times.

[2:21] Andrew: Yeah, I got it.

[2:23] Claudia: I don't have... I need something to give me some novelty, and I wasn't really sure where to go for that. So the other day I started watching The Makeover because, who was saying... You, Ian, and Lena were saying that's, like, one of the most boring episodes on Glee.

[2:35] Andrew: And I know it's directly after your favorite episode.

[2:39] Claudia: Yes. I forget that. That's true. But yeah. Thank you. Oh my gosh, you remember me. Yeah.

[2:44] Claudia: Britney 2.0 is an underrated banger. But Makeover, I think I have talked about this in a recorded fashion. I'm just addicted to the blonde, bisexual, headcanon bestiedom of Britney and Sam when that begins. Like, I don't need them as, like, an actual couple. They are just, like, a very funny pairing. So I like most of that content, even as, like, a literal diehard, kill me, Britannia shipper.

[3:14] Andrew: I remember watching that Britney 2.0, Britney and Sam scene live, and I was like, ooh, they're testing out different dynamics. You know what I like? I like platonic friendships between genders.

[3:25] Claudia: Uh-huh. Yep. And they're like, I bet some people out there are liking that.

[3:30] Andrew: Yeah, and I did. But I didn't like it when it went further than that. I'll tell you that much.

[3:35] Claudia: No, no, no. It's just, again, it's just too much, the blonde on blonde. I will always say that.

[3:42] Andrew: Yeah, it's just, it's getting weird, you guys. It's getting weird.

[3:45] Claudia: Weird and scary.

[3:47] Andrew: Um, do you have any thoughts on Glacket? Anything, you know, beginning of round three, any competitions? Only six competitions have transpired so far in the round. How are you feeling about any of them?

[4:01] Claudia: I'm already having, like, a small stroke and, like, cannot remember anything. But actually, I do have a good Notes app entry. And the first thing is a timestamp of Connor's episode where he says, character-driven drama, vocals that slay, to describe the Adele mashup. And I was just, like, laughing out loud on the train.

[4:24] Andrew: People really responded to Connor's little rant.

[4:29] Claudia: Tirade, tirade, really.

[4:30] Andrew: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was, it was a tirade that was well received.

[4:35] Claudia: I'd say so. I wrote also in my notes that it was a crazy competition to happen that early.

[4:42] Andrew: Yeah.

[4:42] Claudia: And especially that pairing.

[4:43] Andrew: I know, I just said six competitions when it's actually been, so sorry. Wait, that means four plus four plus four. This is the now fourth episode. So three. Oh my god.

[4:56] Andrew: Girl, don't ask me.

[4:57] Claudia: Girl, that's two. Two competitions. Oh, it is six competitions.

[5:03] Andrew: Yeah.

[5:05] Claudia: Oh my god.

[5:05] Andrew: You started going two times two times two times four. You're asking the wrong girl.

[5:10] Claudia: I was like, oh no.

[5:12] Andrew: Oh no, it's all over.

[5:13] Claudia: In a live stream of all places to be doing that.

[5:15] Andrew: Everyone here thinks we're idiots.

[5:18] Claudia: Yeah, well.

[5:18] Claudia: Yeah. Oh, I was just saying that, like, having it happen this early on and having Valerie and Adele mashup together because they are both so critical to this beautiful girl that is so important to many of us.

[5:36] Andrew: Yeah.

[5:36] Claudia: Um, that was just like cruel and unusual.

[5:38] Claudia: But I wrote that I in my notes app that I do take Valerie for granted.

[5:43] Claudia: Like it. As soon as Adele mashup came on, I was kind of like, no, it's it's set. Like it didn't really feel like that big of a competition for me when I was actually.

[5:52] Claudia: And I think Matt said this in the episode, but like, um, Valerie is definitely a song that we sort of predicted would go a lot further.

[6:04] Claudia: And so, like, just I think it's like what makes the Glacket fun. One of the many things I could I could list a million reasons why the Glacket is the most fun thing to ever exist.

[6:16] Claudia: But one of the one of the reasons is that things like this can happen.

[6:22] Claudia: And Valerie is like not in the game anymore. It's crazy, you know?

[6:27] Andrew: And so so like it's it's like, oh, we don't need to worry about Valerie. But it's like now what does the Glacket look like anyway?

[6:34] Claudia: Yeah, it's pretty insane.

[6:36] Claudia: I am trying to see if I have any other notes on any of the competitions, but a lot of them are just weird little responses to things that happened in the first few episodes.

[6:45] Andrew: I don't know if you're seeing.

[6:47] Claudia: So sorry.

[6:48] Claudia: Yeah, I'm seeing something happening and it's a little disturbing.

[6:51] Claudia: Um, yeah.

[6:52] Claudia: So Ryan, I believe this is the same Ryan that was there.

[6:56] Andrew: He was Ryan.

[6:58] Claudia: I remember Ryan.

[6:59] Claudia: Oh, Ryan was like very upset about one song getting sent home that was in the vote.

[7:06] Andrew: As long as you're there.

[7:08] Claudia: But Ryan, you were there for a chat for a competition. What, Ryan?

[7:12] Claudia: What was your competition, Ryan?

[7:15] Claudia: We're in the chat. New York state of mind and cold hearted.

[7:18] Andrew: Oh, see, I knew that you were there for a big one. That's a big one.

[7:22] Claudia: Anyway, just put that out there.

[7:24] Claudia: Ryan in the chat said hot take.

[7:28] Claudia: They can both go and I can only assume that you're talking about Valerie and rumor has it someone like you really, really crazy thing to say.

[7:37] Andrew: Crazy pants.

[7:39] Claudia: Huh?

[7:39] Claudia: That's really, really insane.

[7:40] Andrew: Okay, so Ryan's reporting live.

[7:43] Claudia: Favorites are my man and faithfully like solid.

[7:47] Andrew: Okay, we got we got a Leah stand in the house.

[7:49] Claudia: Okay.

[7:50] Claudia: Okay.

[7:52] Claudia: Um, no, Ryan.

[7:58] Claudia: Love you mean it.

[7:59] Claudia: Love you mean it big time.

[8:01] Claudia: I wanted to have a little bit of commentary on the February commentary in the recovering episode just when they said when you were talking about the announcement of two lesbians in New York and the episode is called naked that also

[8:18] Andrew: Wait, what?

[8:20] Claudia: I think you guys were talking about like, how excited you were. Like how gleeks and for Barry stands, I suppose, like we're just taking crumbs.

[8:30] Claudia: Yeah, in this, in the whole series, but especially in the season when Quinn hadn't graduated.

[8:34] Claudia: You're talking about how, like, it was announced that Santana and Quinn were so called naked.

[8:40] Andrew: Yeah, I think Ian said, like, the quote is from Ian.

[8:45] Claudia: Like, what did what did you think? We were expecting.

[8:48] Claudia: It's two lesbians in New York, and the episode is called naked.

[8:51] Claudia: And I that just I really enjoyed that.

[8:53] Claudia: It was a major lol moment for it was a major lol moment for Claudia, maybe on her commute home.

[8:59] Andrew: Oh, beautiful.

[9:00] Claudia: Claudia on the subway, just just giggling about lesbians in New York, just being naked.

[9:04] Andrew: I'm doing that.

[9:06] Claudia: Just being naked.

[9:07] Claudia: Just being naked.

[9:08] Claudia: Oh, we went to high school together now we're naked in New York City.

[9:13] Andrew: I think Chapel Rowan made a song about that.

[9:14] Claudia: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[9:15] Andrew: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[9:17] Claudia: Oh my god.

[9:19] Claudia: Here we are.

[9:19] Andrew: It's gonna be a really crazy episode.

[9:20] Claudia: Do you do you have anything else before we listen to a damn gloicemail?

[9:25] Andrew: Oh, no, we can do a gloicemail.

[9:27] Claudia: I might have little tidbits to add in, but maybe they'll be relevant.

[9:30] Claudia: And I won't just be reading my notes out.

[9:32] Andrew: Maybe they'll be relevant.

[9:34] Claudia: It's hard to say.

[9:34] Claudia: I kind of love when they're not relevant.

[9:37] Andrew: Okay, well, then I'll bring them up irrelevantly before the before the hour's up.

[9:40] Andrew: Hey, guys, I just want to come on and say, first of all, I've really been enjoying the two competitions per episode.

[9:49] Andrew: Second, I was thinking over the Glacket and I was thinking how we all have competitions that we look back on and think, yeah, if those two songs were up against each other today, I would think the other song would go through, which actually happened with Jessie's Girl and Take a Bow.

[10:08] Andrew: But I was wondering, is there any song that you guys or any competition you guys look back on and actually regret and think, yeah, the wrong decision was made?

[10:19] Andrew: Because even if the competitions, like they didn't happen and looking back on them, sorry if I'm distracting, I'm driving.

[10:28] Andrew: But if you look back on it and say, yeah, maybe I would have done something different, but that still makes it a Glacket. The Glacket still makes it fun.

[10:35] Andrew: But if there are any competitions you look back on and think with actual regret and think, wow, we messed up there.

[10:43] Andrew: Because I don't actually have a lot except for one, and that is I Want to Hold Your Hand versus Stand By You season one.

[10:50] Andrew: Because I remember the main reason season one, the polo went through is because you will worry that the Mercerlo in season five won't go through, which it did.

[11:00] Andrew: And also because, and the only reason that song stands out in any way or is one of the notes is because of the quarterback episode, which has been discussed numerous times since round one.

[11:14] Andrew: Versus I Want to Hold Your Hand is the song that won Chris's Golden Globe, which had a time of historic win.

[11:21] Andrew: What do my voice memos to you sound like?

[11:23] Andrew: And so yeah, I do think looking back on it, the wrong decision was made there.

[11:29] Andrew: I'm curious if you guys agree with that or if you have any competitions that you feel the same way about.

[11:36] Andrew: Bye.

[11:38] Claudia: Selma, you own my entire heart.

[11:41] Claudia: Selma, I'm obsessed with you more than anyone could ever be obsessed with another person.

[11:47] Claudia: Selma, I listened to this voicemail earlier today, and it wasn't until listening to it now that I could hear the turn signal at the end of the voicemail.

[11:57] Andrew: It's so perfect.

[12:00] Claudia: It's so perfect.

[12:01] Claudia: Uh, I was just thinking over the Glacket as I'm driving.

[12:04] Claudia: Um, Selma, love you so much.

[12:08] Claudia: And I really mean that.

[12:11] Andrew: Claudia, I throw the question to you.

[12:13] Claudia: Yeah.

[12:14] Andrew: As someone that's been on a number of times, are there any competitions that you look back on and you're like, what the hell was I thinking?

[12:20] Claudia: I was trying to think about this because in anticipation and excitement of returning for a live stream episode specifically, I listened to the other time I was a wonderful, I was presented the wonderful opportunity of co-hosting a live stream episode.

[12:37] Claudia: And I listened to Kayla make this same argument about I want to hold your hand versus I'll stand by you.

[12:44] Claudia: This is not answering your question because I had nothing to do with that.

[12:46] Andrew: No, it's okay.

[12:48] Claudia: I kind of, I kind of agree with that.

[12:50] Claudia: I'll say that.

[12:52] Andrew: And, uh, I love it.

[12:57] Claudia: Okay, though, I think the one choice that I regret the most, but I don't really think my in my heart, I actually think it was wrong.

[13:05] Claudia: Was voting Mary the night through over science fiction future.

[13:11] Claudia: Because I know I got a, I get a lot of hate for that one.

[13:14] Claudia: And I just don't.

[13:17] Claudia: Okay, Eduardo is already going after me.

[13:18] Claudia: I'm gonna like, literally, you know, someone, okay, not someone.

[13:22] Claudia: Well, who am I?

[13:23] Claudia: Eduardo commented many such cases for Claudia, making a mistake action on the Glacket.

[13:29] Claudia: And it got for laughing react.

[13:33] Claudia: I love you all.

[13:34] Claudia: I hate you all.

[13:36] Claudia: So there's that.

[13:38] Claudia: I also just.

[13:40] Unknown speaker: Kindly ignored a message in the Patreon group chat of Eduardo posting a screenshot of his camera roll that was like in case of Claudia hosting a Live Episode.

[13:51] Unknown speaker: Live Episode Break Glass and it was like a picture of like Boycott Gleek of the Week. I don't understand. Anyway. Anyway. My response to that is that maybe I didn't like I don't love Mary the Knight enough to send this iconic Santana Bean ellipse from Rocky Horror home, maybe. But in the moment, I really enjoyed that performance.

[14:20] Unknown speaker: And you do have a history with Adam Lambert, of course.

[14:24] Unknown speaker: I do have a history with Adam Lambert, of course. And was that a conversation that we had recorded? Or was that? I don't remember. Anybody know? I think it's worth repeating.

[14:35] Unknown speaker: I'll repeat it. So two summers ago, I was in New York for Pride before I moved here. And my friend who was like, New York, kind of native at this point, she brought me to a club. And we were hanging out there way before all the gays showed up. We were just kind of there. So we were in the VIP section because it was like 11pm. And listen, the gays just they weren't ready.

[15:01] Unknown speaker: Anyone's VIP at that hour.

[15:03] Unknown speaker: Exactly. So at some point, we're removed from the VIP section, just me and my other friend. And we're taken out. We're like, okay, whatever. And there were replaced by nominally some true VIPs. And who is it? But Adam Lambert.

[15:18] Unknown speaker: Gleason.

[15:19] Unknown speaker: Gleason Adam Lambert. I decided I had to go and say something to him. So the first thing I said to him was, I have to tell you, my first ever concert that I went to was your American Idol tour in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

[15:30] Unknown speaker: Right, right, right.

[15:34] Unknown speaker: Yep. And he said, wow, what a throwback. Like, complete straight face. Okay. Then I said, and also, I loved you on the hit Fox show Glee.

[15:48] Unknown speaker: And he said...

[15:49] Unknown speaker: And he said, wow, what a throwback. He said it twice.

[15:55] Unknown speaker: Again, he was really trying to reach a quota with that saying. And I was like, okay, cool. I talked to Adam Lambert. And I went back to my friend, and she was furious with me. She's like, that is so embarrassing. You don't know how to New York. And I'm like, listen, I just went and talked to Adam Lambert and told him about his work's impact on me. Can you say the same? No. So I felt pretty good about that.

[16:15] Unknown speaker: It's sometimes like you, I don't know, it's like, maybe, I know, I recently moved to beautiful Jersey City. No longer New Yorker through and through, but I can be in there, and I'll say it 15 minutes. But I lived, I lived in that city for 10 years. I don't give a fuck. There was a period where I was like, yeah, oh, I really want to talk to them the first few years. And then I went through a period where I was like, oh, it's oh, that's Cole Sprouse. I can't say anything. And now I'm at the point where I'm like, I'll play it year by year. You know, like, whatever.

[16:49] Unknown speaker: Totally. I mean, if it was Adam Lambert, I probably would have said something too.

[16:53] Unknown speaker: Yeah, you have to. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, sometimes it goes better than that. Sometimes it goes worse than that, such as Diana Gate, but...

[17:03] Unknown speaker: Oh, Diana was such a bitch to you.

[17:03] Unknown speaker: Diana was a bitch. Were we talking about this over the phone or over voice memo? When Diana was rude to you? Diana, no, it was, it was like 2am.

[17:17] Unknown speaker: That's true. No, it was awesome. Wait, and also I wanted to ask you, and I love that this is your response to, do you have any Glock competition?

[17:25] Unknown speaker: I don't know where this came from. I don't know how we got here. Oh, yeah. Wait, so Diana, do you want to reveal your, you've definitely revealed that story.

[17:35] Unknown speaker: I totally revealed that. The first time I was, yeah, no, we went to see Diana at Café Carlisle. After her show, we were sitting in the bar stalking her for like 45 minutes. The bar was closing. I was like, I'm going to say something. I went up and said something to her and she like, turned her entire body away from me so as to not engage with me. And I was like, okay.

[17:57] Unknown speaker: Important to know that Call Me Margo was with her.

[18:00] Unknown speaker: Call Me Margo. Her wife, Call Me Margo. She was on a lesbian date.

[18:04] Unknown speaker: Yeah. No, she wasn't. Don't let it get out. She was with another woman who was like, I think like part of the band.

[18:11] Unknown speaker: Yes.

[18:14] Unknown speaker: Yeah. But also, I wanted to ask you, who was Adam Lambert with? Because if Adam Lambert was like, with a group of gays or something, was he alone?

[18:25] Unknown speaker: He was with a group of gays. And within full glam, obviously.

[18:30] Unknown speaker: Glamor.

[18:30] Unknown speaker: That's kind of all I remember. That same night at that club. It wasn't Toblo. Icona Pop. Icona Pop was also there. They were in the set. I don't know.

[18:42] Unknown speaker: Where was this?

[18:42] Unknown speaker: Literally don't know.

[18:43] Unknown speaker: What?

[18:44] Unknown speaker: I don't know. It was insane. It was crazy.

[18:46] Unknown speaker: Wow. Anyway.

[18:48] Unknown speaker: Yeah, anyway. So maybe I shouldn't. No, I guess the answer to this is no. I did everything right in all aspects in voting my boy through, in saying hello. Both Glees, Adam Lambert and Glees, Diana Agron.

[19:04] Unknown speaker: No, I don't feel super good about Diana Agron. But I'm saying like, that's okay.

[19:08] Unknown speaker: I voted Mary the night and that's fine. It's fine. I voted Mary the night. My other thought is, actually, I think I should have voted A Thousand Miles instead of I Look To You because I Look To You is boring as hell.

[19:18] Unknown speaker: That was such a weird competition.

[19:20] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I'm surprised that that went through.

[19:22] Unknown speaker: Yeah. I have a response to this beautiful prompt that Selma asked, and it's actually from an episode that you were on, Claudia.

[19:33] Unknown speaker: Oh.

[19:34] Unknown speaker: And I think, I think you and I voted the same way. And it won.

[19:41] Unknown speaker: Valerie Season 5 over Mr. Roboto Counting Stars.

[19:45] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[19:46] Unknown speaker: And you voted for Valerie, correct?

[19:48] Unknown speaker: I did. I did.

[19:51] Unknown speaker: See, that was rough. Because like, I think I voted for, sometimes when they sing the song twice, and this happened with He'll Stand By You, because like the Mersolo came up first. And I was like, oh, I got the Mersolo through. And I was like, I can't send the Mersolo through, but not the Folo. And so I think that like in round two, then, what happened was the round five version popped up before. And it was like, I need to, I need to advocate for at least one Valerie, because who knows what's going to happen to season two. And now I'm like, now season two is dead and gone. And season five could very well keep on going. And it's like, at what cost?

[20:29] Unknown speaker: Yeah, I remember, I think this was one of the first times I was on the podcast. And I was kind of, again, like, it was a scarcity mindset. I was like, these are my beautiful girls. I need them to be safe. And so I'm going to push them through.

[20:44] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[20:45] Unknown speaker: Even though like, they're represented elsewhere. And Mr. Roboto Counting Stars is like, a banger for sure. I recently, oh my gosh.

[20:53] Unknown speaker: So good.

[20:54] Unknown speaker: Ultimate life hack, everyone, I need to announce this life hack. I got three months free on Apple Music for some reason, because I got a new phone or something. And so what I've been doing, I have Spotify, okay, Spotify, not to flex on that. But anyway, what I've decided to do is listen to Gleecast.

[21:14] Unknown speaker: On Apple?

[21:15] Unknown speaker: On Apple Music only. So now, I'll at least, it probably will still come up in my Spotify wrapped or whatever. But it'll be a little less intense, and maybe even a little less embarrassing.

[21:28] Unknown speaker: Because you saved three months.

[21:29] Unknown speaker: Yeah, so that's a big life hack. And also, I'm like, not even, like, hesitating feeling the joy of listening to Gleecast. Because sometimes I literally am like, girl, you need to, you need to stop. Okay, because this is going to be your number one artist.

[21:40] Unknown speaker: I shouldn't worry about that.

[21:41] Unknown speaker: Someone that doesn't have Spotify, do you need to share at the end?

[21:48] Unknown speaker: That seemed really judgmental.

[21:50] Unknown speaker: No, not judgmental.

[21:51] Unknown speaker: Like, do you have to show, do you have to post your wrapped?

[21:54] Unknown speaker: Yeah, do you need to do that? It's like, no, if you're not, if you're not proud of it, then don't share it. There's a life hack.

[22:00] Unknown speaker: I didn't share it. I mean, for my, I want to have a perception of myself that I'm, I don't know. It's true. This is not the right audience to be saying this to.

[22:10] Unknown speaker: No, I'm not embarrassed to be Gleek. I just, whatever.

[22:14] Unknown speaker: Whatever, whatever. I think on this, I think this is the note that we go into a verse Gleek with. This is the vibe where I think that we're, we're a little, we left on like a little bit beefing.

[22:27] Unknown speaker: Yeah, that's always good to do.

[22:28] Unknown speaker: Yeah. Anyway, first Gleek of the first Glivestream episode of round three. And of course it is Ari. Hello.

[22:39] Ari: Hello. I'm so honored. Oh my God.

[22:42] Unknown speaker: Oh my God. Wait, remind me again. What time it is?

[22:47] Ari: Uh, it's half past midnight in London.

[22:50] Unknown speaker: Oh my God.

[22:52] Ari: Um, not foggy London town.

[22:56] Unknown speaker: Okay. Foggy London town.

[22:59] Ari: Um, it's a bank holiday, which is like just, yeah, cause Easter and I also have tomorrow off. So this is my, but in place of a night out, this is what I'm doing.

[23:10] Unknown speaker: Oh wait, like you, when I announced what time we were doing this, you were like, oh my God, this is, this is my time to shine.

[23:16] Unknown speaker: So I put it in the calendar.

[23:18] Ari: Uh, incredible, incredible, incredible. Yeah. Uh, you've done like one, I think live stream that worked for me time-wise. And the last time I was on was the last time I was in the North American continent. And it just happened to be, it was so funny. Actually, I was in Canada for a wedding and there was a one evening where I was like, oh, I have nothing to do. And I was just in this Airbnb.

[23:43] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[23:43] Ari: And I thought, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to join a live stream.

[23:47] Unknown speaker: Incredible, incredible.

[23:48] Unknown speaker: And that was the Amman live stream.

[23:50] Ari: Yes.

[23:52] Unknown speaker: Wait, what was your competition?

[23:55] Ari: I had, um, Take On Me and the Jake number.

[24:02] Unknown speaker: Nasty Rhythm Nation.

[24:03] Ari: Oh my God.

[24:06] Unknown speaker: I remember you.

[24:11] Unknown speaker: That's a hard competition.

[24:13] Unknown speaker: People aren't talking about that enough.

[24:15] Ari: I think about it every day.

[24:16] Unknown speaker: I think about it every, I wake up and I think about that.

[24:18] Unknown speaker: It's hard.

[24:18] Unknown speaker: Wait, what did you vote for?

[24:20] Ari: I voted for Take On Me, which was.

[24:22] Unknown speaker: Oh, but, but.

[24:23] Ari: And you lost with that, obviously.

[24:25] Unknown speaker: No, no, but I knew I was the third vote. And then I, I sort of, yeah, well, yeah, I was the third vote. And so I knew already it was going through. So I was like, okay, whatever.

[24:35] Unknown speaker: You listen to your heart.

[24:36] Ari: Oh my God.

[24:37] Unknown speaker: Yeah, exactly. I sort of had, this is why I think about it every morning when I wake up.

[24:41] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[24:41] Unknown speaker: I think about you all the time.

[24:44] Unknown speaker: Charlie, is that right?

[24:45] Ari: Ari, you messaged me about like 666. It's the Glackett, but is that you?

[24:52] Unknown speaker: I feel like I was like looking back at our DMs today. I was like, we're like reliving some moments. I sent you, there was a period of time I was writing my, my master's thesis. And I literally would like be reading like academic essays and listening to the podcast at the same time.

[25:09] Ari: So nothing was registering on either side.

[25:13] Unknown speaker: No, that just means you have the biggest brain in the world. And it was, and then every, I had to send, I had to share my thoughts about every single thing. So I was sending a lot of messages.

[25:23] Ari: I remember that this was, I was on the, the London tube and I saw the.

[25:28] Unknown speaker: The London tube.

[25:29] Ari: I feel like you're doing, like, I feel like you're lying.

[25:31] Unknown speaker: I would not be surprised at the end of it.

[25:32] Ari: I swear to God, oh my God. She said she's on the North American continent.

[25:35] Unknown speaker: Yeah.

[25:35] Unknown speaker: She's like putting on this accent and it's.

[25:38] Unknown speaker: Dead dark.

[25:39] Unknown speaker: It's dark.

[25:44] Unknown speaker: No, my accent has changed depending on the, the, the person I'm, the sort of the audience. But anyway, I was on the tube and I saw, I was on the tube and I saw the brat ad like, yeah.

[25:54] Unknown speaker: Thing.

[25:56] Ari: Yeah. And I had, I hadn't listened to it. So I was like, okay, let me listen to it. And then.

[26:03] Unknown speaker: You know what she says?

[26:05] Ari: Six, six, six, six, six, five or in three 60, whatever it was. Then I listened to it. And that was literally the first thing I had. And I thought I have to be.

[26:15] Unknown speaker: Exercise.

[26:15] Ari: I have to have the.

[26:20] Unknown speaker: Most important numerology in the Bible is.

[26:22] Ari: I was like, oh my, I was like, oh my God. Like.

[26:25] Unknown speaker: I am glad because I also saw the number six, six, six out in the wild recently. And it wasn't like satanic related. I think it was just like in a mural. And so you think.

[26:34] Ari: So I think probably it was.

[26:40] Unknown speaker: But I saw it and I, I immediately thought black it. And I thought like, oh my God, I'm so glad that I have reclaimed the devil's number.

[26:49] Unknown speaker: You know, it's no, no, it's a really.

[26:51] Unknown speaker: Girl, what?

[26:54] Unknown speaker: No, you have, you have.

[26:58] Unknown speaker: Now. Francis on his ascension into heaven was thinking about how you reclaim the devil's number. When everybody thinks of six, six, six. They now they think about the black it. Everybody thinks about everybody. Number one, the black it. Number two, Charlie. Satan's number. Thank you so much for clocking me with.

[27:50] Andrew: Auri, you're here for this competition, but I would like to hear, before we get into the competition, do you have any competitions since your last appearance in round two that you're like, that was, that was Satan at work with that one?

[28:08] Auri: Well, I feel like you eliminated Satan from the world with the glockenspiel.

[28:15] Andrew: I think I did.

[28:16] Auri: Yeah, I heard that. I think I said this last time I was on that I have a, I have a spreadsheet. I have a copy of the spreadsheet. It's all in color.

[28:24] Andrew: Yeah.

[28:25] Auri: Green or red.

[28:27] Andrew: I love this.

[28:28] Auri: For or against. And it's, it's largely green, I will say. And I, I've reached a point, speaking of the sort of the sort of spiritual aspect of the glockenspiel, I've reached a point of resignation with the glockenspiel.

[28:44] Andrew: Okay.

[28:48] Auri: In a good way or a bad way?

[28:50] Auri: No, in a good way.

[28:51] Andrew: Okay.

[28:52] Auri: Okay. In a good way. Yeah. And I realized this just the other day when I was listening to the recording where when Valerie was pulled, well, when the Adele mashup was pulled after Valerie, and I was sort of, I felt a moment, I feel like I would, I should have been upset, concerned, worried, anxious, all of the above. But I actually just was like, you know what, I'm just gonna let the glockenspiel do its thing. I feel fine. That's the Lord. I feel this is insane. The devil's been eliminated. I kind of, it's great. Someone tell the Pope. My mom thought that the Pope was the Antichrist. So it's all coming together.

[29:26] Andrew: Kind of true.

[29:27] Auri: True. Literally, kind of true. Wait, but Nicole wants to know in the chat, Ari, what would you have voted for Valerie or the Adele mashup?

[29:49] Ari: Come on.

[29:52] Auri: I mean, just to put it out there. I think right decision was made.

[29:57] Andrew: Okay.

[29:59] Auri: I will, I'll shout out one, one singular competition and just because when I, which was My Love Is Your Love and Summer Nights, the only reason that really stood out was because I think the day I joined the Patreon, there was a message on the group chat about how My Love Is Your Love could win the glockenspiel. And I remember seeing that and thinking, okay, I see, like, I see the vision.

[30:30] Andrew: You do?

[30:32] Auri: I see the vision. The argument was really good. I wish, I hope someone can sort of remember because I don't remember exactly what it said, but it was like this range of vocalists, the kind of like moment in the episode, I don't remember. People are going crazy in the chat. That moment of reading it, my third eye opened and I thought this is absolutely correct.

[30:58] Andrew: I would not.

[30:59] Auri: Yeah. I just like famously don't see the vision with My Love Is Your Love. I don't know what it is. But like, I think I always try to steal, like, is it dead? The saying? It's trying to reheat We Are Young's nachos.

[31:15] Andrew: Hey, baby.

[31:16] Auri: No, no, no.

[31:17] Andrew: Oh, no.

[31:18] Auri: Can I not say that?

[31:19] Andrew: No.

[31:20] Auri: Hey, um, hey.

[31:21] Andrew: In the sense that, you know what I mean?

[31:22] Auri: Yeah, totally. I think you're wrong.

[31:24] Andrew: Yeah.

[31:25] Auri: They're always doing that kind of thing.

[31:26] Andrew: They're always doing that kind of thing.

[31:27] Auri: They're all yeah, I mean, yeah, Glee within itself is, you know, they're constantly the nachos have been completely, they're so melted. They're like, yeah, it's not even like the chip is the cheese at this point.

[31:51] Andrew: Right.

[31:52] Auri: Like when we get the problem in season six, it's like, well, this is a kind of, I don't know, a mangled version of I Say A Little Prayer. What is this? What's going on here? Anyway, I think that we kind of solved that entire conversation if there was anything to solve. I don't really know what we're talking about anymore.

[32:10] Andrew: I know.

[32:11] Auri: Mission equilibrium. I feel particularly insane today. But Aria, what are we thinking about in terms of this competition? Do we want a really hard one or do we want one that you will be able to go to sleep peacefully?

[32:32] Ari: Great question. I feel I'm ready for anything. I get my relationship with Glee right now and Glee music in particular is I just get obsessed with like one song.

[32:49] Auri: Yeah.

[32:50] Ari: And it's just that one song. And then in two months time, it'll be another song.

[32:56] Andrew: What's the song right now?

[32:57] Ari: The song right now is Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Head Over Feet.

[33:01] Andrew: Okay.

[33:02] Auri: We just saw her. She's still around.

[33:04] Ari: She's here. She's alive and well. She just walked into the club and she's like kind of just like getting her first drink.

[33:12] Auri: Yeah.

[33:13] Ari: Yeah. So it could be her. Could be coming to round four.

[33:21] Andrew: Yeah.

[33:22] Ari: But I'm just happy to be here.

[33:27] Andrew: Yes, you're awesome. I'm so happy you're both here. You didn't ask, but I want something really hard.

[33:34] Auri: We're starting off with a really big one.

[33:37] Andrew: Oh, boy.

[33:38] Auri: Oh, boy.

[33:39] Andrew: Oh, boy.

[33:40] Auri: Oh, boy.

[33:41] Andrew: Oh, boy.

[33:42] Auri: And I'm so scared and excited.

[33:45] Andrew: No, I actually feel like I'm shaking. Also, the fact that only two competitions per episode makes it feel way more like the stakes feel really high. So good idea with that, Andrew.

[33:54] Andrew: Thank you. Well, also, I want to be able to sleep at night, you know, because I have like three competitions that are both like throw up everywhere.

[34:01] Auri: No, no sleep.

[34:04] Andrew: Oh, my God.

[34:06] Auri: Oh, my God.

[34:17] Andrew: I could be getting hornier and hornier.

[35:03] Auri: So, Annie, are you OK? Are you OK, Annie? Annie, are you OK? Are you OK, Annie? You've been hit by. You've been struck by. A smooth criminal.

[35:22] Auri: I don't know.

[35:27] Andrew: Annie, are you OK? Would you tell us that you're OK? There's a sound in the window. They struck you. A crescendo, Annie. They came into your apartment. Left the bloodstains on the carpet. Then you ran into the bedroom. You were struck down. Annie, are you OK? Would you tell us that you're OK? There's a sound in the window. They struck you. A crescendo, Annie. They came into your apartment. Left the bloodstains on the carpet. Then you ran into the bedroom. You were struck down. Annie, you've been hit by. You've been struck by. A smooth criminal.

[35:59] Andrew: Who wants to begin the discourse on this? I've talked about it twice now in the Glockett. So if either of y'all want to start the discourse.

[36:11] Auri: I don't remember everything that you've said.

[36:14] Andrew: I don't remember anything.

[36:16] Auri: I really do love it a lot. I think I brought up maybe last time that, like, when I was at my old apartment, I was neighbors with Grant Gustin.

[36:27] Andrew: Famously.

[36:28] Auri: My famous neighbor.

[36:30] Andrew: You're his famous neighbor.

[36:33] Auri: Right. Because I reclaimed 666. He eliminated Satan.

[36:39] Andrew: Oh, Andrew?

[36:41] Auri: Yeah. No. And I was thinking about, Claudia, you approaching Glee stars Diana Agron and Adam Lambert. And I did approach Grant Gustin once. I've probably seen him on the street probably like a dozen times. But only once did I say, Grant, just to prove that it is him and that he is responding, Grant, love your work. And I didn't like exactly cite what the work was that I loved. But I'm pretty sure he could probably tell what a gay guy. It was exactly this. Those two minutes of media history.

[37:20] Andrew: Incredible.

[37:21] Auri: Oh, my God. It's too good. It's too good. It's just, I don't understand. No one had any business, really, with any of it. Like, the classic thing, why do they have so much sexual tension as two gay people? But people hate to hate to recognize that.

[37:42] Andrew: I was about to say something I didn't make any sense of.

[37:45] Auri: No, I want to hear it through.

[37:48] Andrew: Sometimes the absence of sexual tension is the horniest of all.

[37:56] Auri: But there was sexual attention here.

[37:58] Andrew: Yeah, but they're not. Well, yeah, they actually do look like they're going to fuck each other. So anyway, it didn't really make sense. I'm just saying, yeah, there can be sexual tension between a lesbian and a gay guy.

[38:07] Auri: There can be.

[38:09] Andrew: Okay.

[38:11] Auri: Look at me and Claudia.

[38:13] Andrew: Look at me. I didn't want to say it.

[38:17] Auri: I didn't want to have to say it.

[38:21] Andrew: It's going crazy right now.

[38:23] Auri: Oh, my God. Ari, do you have anything to add between sexual tension between gay men and lesbians or this performance that we just watched?

[38:35] Ari: I will say it's palatable in the Zoom.

[38:37] Auri: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm glad that you're feeling it. It proves that it's real.

[38:42] Andrew: Ari third wheel.

[38:44] Ari: No, exactly. I mean, I'm trying to remember if you said this. I don't know if I'm making up. Honestly, I would be making up things you've said. But you know how I remember you saying, Andrew, that you felt like they built the Whitney tribute episode around how will I know?

[39:08] Andrew: I think I did say that. That's a very good memory.

[39:10] Ari: Did you say the same thing about the Michael tribute episode and this? This arrangement?

[39:15] Andrew: Yeah, that's what I I do feel that way. And now I'm like blanking on like in the Adam and Nikki episode if I ask. Well, I don't know if they would have per se been responsible for all that. But like if they had any sort of like, hey, we're building an entire episode around one artist. But like the episodes like big number is this one and this one, you know, whatever. So no, but I feel that with Smooth Criminal because like obviously this is the best one. Never can say goodbye. Love you down. Like want to be starting something also very fun. Ben, you know where I stand with you and I love you. Everyone knows.

[39:54] Auri: Everyone knows.

[39:55] Ari: But yeah. Inspired. Inspired. Yeah, this is the one that they were like they were trying something with. And oh, it stands the test of time. It's just it's just so good. And I still don't know who those cello guys are. I'm going to be honest with you. I know that they're like some sort of famous entity because they're featured in the track. Like they did. They did a song with Naya. Did they not? Supermassive Black Hole. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Like an entire they did like an entire like music video like in space or something. Claudia, this is this is I'm being told to look that up to show. Yeah, listen, it feels very related to I don't know if I've come out on this podcast as a former Pentatonix stand. I know. Listen, listen, I know. Listen, I know. But that seems like something that should be in my kind of realm of understanding. But it's not OK. Supermassive Black Hole. I'm being told. I remember the.

[41:00] Claudia: I don't really remember the song at all. But I know she's got some crazy smoky eyes. I remember like it had like a very spacey vibe to it, even the music. It was just like, oh, gosh, I forget. I forget how it went. I'm due for a re-listen. But they were like, oh, we really ate something up with "Smooth Criminal." We got to keep this collab going. Oh, I can't wait to see this.

[41:29] Ari: Um, people are freaking out about me saying I'm a former Pentatonix fan. I just don't keep tabs on them anymore.

[41:35] Claudia: Well, they're all like broken up.

[41:37] Ari: Yes. I don't know. I went on an Instagram real rabbit hole recently of Kevin of Pentatonix. He's doing a solo career where he is playing a cello situation and also beatboxing and also singing. So that's awesome. But yeah, I'm just not really tracking them these days.

[41:55] David: Um, are you tracking Santana and Sebastian as they're walking around this room through the chairs?

[42:03] Claudia: No, yeah, I'm definitely tracking that. I feel like I had to have brought this up last time that it was pulled in the Glacket. But I do have the logistical annoying question. Where do we think they are? Are they at Dalton Academy? Are they at an offsite location? This is the only time we ever see this damn room. Why are the chairs like that?

[42:25] Ari: It feels very, I don't know, it's easy to assume that it's like Dalton has an orchestra club in the same way that they have a cool glee club that actually gets resources and funding. Like I'm sure they have like a whole orchestra and that's their big room. Like it looks very fancy. That's their big room.

[42:48] David: Yeah.

[42:49] Claudia: The only issue is that there's no equipment in the room.

[42:54] Ari: Yeah. I don't know why they'd be in a circle like that, to be honest, but I think a fight might be happening soon.

[43:01] David: It always looks like one of those rooms in like a hotel where they host conferences.

[43:07] Claudia: Yeah. It's very unsettling.

[43:10] David: It's the how to be a heartbreaker hotel.

[43:15] Claudia: Right? The gigolo hotel.

[43:17] David: Exactly.

[43:24] Claudia: I'm not bringing this up as points against the performance. I think it adds to the fun that we really don't know where it is or what this big room is for potentially. I also want to flag this might continue to yank the fun out of it. Maybe I don't know. This is a conversation point. Why if the Warblers are famously acapella, why are there cellists to begin with? Why are there two cellos?

[43:49] Ari: Separate? That's the band. I don't know why they're there. I don't know why they're really coordinating with Sebastian, but they have their own band. Okay, so there's a band and they do their own thing.

[43:59] Claudia: Okay, thank you. And then the real boys and then in the undisclosed location.

[44:06] David: In the hotel, in the hotel, in the school, in a room, in a school, in a hotel.

[44:10] Claudia: We're building a world.

[44:12] Ari: I'm so glad that you guys are because I don't have an imagination. So I can't do this.

[44:17] Claudia: So they're up to their own thing. They're rehearsing their music and then separately Dalton is doing whatever it is, such as singing "Animal" on the bleachers for the girls.

[44:26] David: Going to the mall.

[44:28] Claudia: Yeah, so they're just kind of separation of powers.

[44:32] Ari: Ordering pizza from Sam Evans.

[44:36] Claudia: I don't remember that.

[44:37] Ari: You don't? All right, come on. You know it.

[44:40] Claudia: Ordering pizza from Sam Evans.

[44:42] Ari: Wait, do you? All right. Do you know this reference?

[44:44] Claudia: Is it in?

[44:46] Ari: Come on. It's in "Rumors." Stephanie got it. When that's been how Kurt knew.

[44:56] Claudia: That's Sam.

[44:57] Ari: I don't remember that at all. That's one of those episodes that I like. I thought it was in like season four for some reason.

[45:03] Claudia: Yeah, me too. I was imagining when they were tracking down the drugs.

[45:08] Ari: Oh, yeah, no, the same. That's what I thought.

[45:12] Claudia: Because it rang a bell, sort of a bell.

[45:14] Ari: Yeah, guys in the group chat. I did mention that I skipped "Rumors" sometimes. This is again, like alluding to the fact that there are some that I feel like I've seen so many times that you got it. I just have to like, oh my god, take a second bar.

[45:28] Claudia: None. My favorite.

[45:30] Ari: Wow, really?

[45:30] Claudia: Like, why not? Like, I'm not a decisive person with most things. I don't think I have this. I rarely have favorites of anything.

[45:38] Ari: But bar none favorite Glee episodes like crazy.

[45:41] Claudia: I also just hate Finn and Quinn plotlines. So that's another thing.

[45:46] David: Oh, yeah.

[45:47] Claudia: They make me upset. Okay, I'm getting some haters.

[45:53] Ari: We did say that "Britney 2.0" is my favorite episode that can't be a popular opinion.

[45:57] Claudia: So I'm just being myself. I'm just being myself.

[46:01] Ari: Hmm. Okay, I don't want to know is a great duet. But they just they pissed me off. I don't like seeing them. But oh, God, even when they played "The Chain" in the background when I watched that a few weeks ago with Elias and Elias gets so excited because he was like, oh my god, they're about to sing "The Chain." And I'm like, baby.

[46:19] Claudia: There is no chain.

[46:22] Ari: Baby, baby.

[46:25] Claudia: There is no change.

[46:26] Ari: Okay, yeah, I'm also I'm insane. People are commenting a lot of things. "Songbird" I have famously said is my favorite song from Glee. So I don't really know what you just hate the episode.

[46:30] Claudia: I hate the episode. I just like no, you can't you watch it enough. No, because I'm like thinking for myself, like "Asian F" obviously up there. Maybe my favorite episode of all time of Glee. And I can still watch that. I can watch it right now and have a great time.

[46:52] Ari: Well, I have like my favorites that I can watch. But there's a different tier. I'll create a tier list. I've watched "Rumors" because it's famously my favorite episode. I've watched it so many times. There was a period where like, it was the only I would watch.

[47:07] Claudia: Yeah. Like every three months, okay, I need to, you know, clock in. Let me watch an episode. And it was always...

[47:15] Ari: I fear I can't look at you.

[47:20] Claudia: Oh my God. I don't know. I don't feel that bad.

[47:24] Ari: I'm not saying I don't like the episode. I'm just saying that, like, I don't know. The wedge between us.

[47:31] Claudia: I do love this conversation about "Smooth Criminal" has turned into Claudia trying to defend her opinion on "Rumors."

[47:37] Ari: I don't want to talk. Someone else go.

[47:42] David: No, you're perfect. And I think Claudia, that's what makes you beautiful is that like you come in here and we never know what you're gonna say. We never know.

[47:50] Claudia: People usually say I'm not that problematic. Except Eduardo always says I'm problematic.

[47:56] Ari: Eduardo always says I'm problematic. But some people are like, yeah, I don't know. You just are saying stuff. I don't know.

[48:04] Claudia: Well, I'm just saying stuff. That's the truth.

[48:08] David: We're all Gleeks here.

[48:10] Claudia: Totally. We are.

[48:13] Ari: Do we have anything to add about "Smooth Criminal"? Bringing it back?

[48:15] Claudia: I can't see the image that Eduardo sent in the group chat.

[48:20] David: So Eduardo sent an image of I think it was like, what is that? What is that church with all the signs? Anyway, they like the Westboro Baptist Church. And it says they're holding signs that says Claudia hates you. Destruction is imminent. Antichrist. So very religious, very religious episode.

[48:36] Claudia: Yeah, but I thought we eliminated Satan.

[48:40] Ari: Satan's like, you can't get rid of me. It's so easy.

[48:42] Claudia: Oh my god. I feel in this room right now.

[48:53] David: Oh, they're after you too now.

[48:57] Claudia: Because you know, you knew about Westboro Baptist Church, which proves you're not British.

[49:04] Ari: That's actually the funniest thing ever. Oh my god.

[49:08] Claudia: Oh my god. Famously half British. Hence the kind of weird accent. By the way, just for the record. Let the record show.

[49:13] Ari: That's what they all say. Passport. Passport. Passport.

[49:18] Claudia: Ari, the fact that you're like, you're aware of the fact that the accent is weird, because in my headcanon, you're faking it. You're like, that's why my-

[49:29] Ari: Oh my god. Someone put this in the chat. Someone's put the Diana Anger on accent.

[49:33] Claudia: Everyone. No, I kid you not. The amount of times people have sent me videos of her doing that weird thing that she does, saying, why does she sound like Ariana? Like, I'm never beating those out. I don't know why. It's called just being a beautiful, beautiful girl with a little bit of mystery. You guys both got that going on. A little bit of dual citizenship. But I fear she's from Missouri. I fear she's from the American south.

[50:09] Ari: I feel like this song discourse has really turned into just the both of you just kind of getting attacked in a live stream setting.

[50:15] Claudia: And my sort of family lore for some reason.

[50:18] Ari: And your family lore coming to light. And we're poking holes in it.

[50:24] Claudia: I'm also from Missouri. I was going to ask—

[50:27] David: No.

[50:28] Claudia: Would it beat in the previous rounds, if I can?

[50:31] Ari: It beat. Imagine.

[50:35] Claudia: Yep.

[50:36] Ari: Oh, I miss that girl so much. I forget about her all the time. But she means a lot to me. And then what did it win against in round one? Does anybody have the Glacket open? "Smooth Criminal." What did it win against?

[50:51] David: I'm scared of touching my laptop.

[50:53] Ari: Wait, I'm doing it.

[50:55] David: Are you doing it?

[50:56] Ari: I know. I literally—

[50:57] David: Oh.

[50:59] Ari: "Wannabe."

[51:00] Claudia: That's hard. But also, yeah. It's actually not hard. I'm kidding. I didn't know.

[51:06] David: "Wannabe" and "Imagine." Two songs that are on completely opposite spectrums of the series.

[51:15] Ari: "Smooth Criminal" took them both down. Are we— I feel like a lot— Okay. So what I was saying was a lot of that conversation was devoted to both of you getting kind of harassed online.

[51:24] Claudia: Mm-hmm.

[51:25] Ari: And not as much about the discourse around one of Glee's most popular hits. Do we have anything to say?

[51:32] Claudia: Well, you were telling us that you didn't want to say anything else because you talked about it before. So then we were just kind of improvising.

[51:39] Ari: Oh, okay. So thank you so much. I appreciate that. Oh, the one note that I wrote down actually is that this is fanfic coded. "Smooth Criminal," enough time has passed. I'm looking at it and I'm like, no, this was a fanfic that was brought to life in the most complimentary way possible. I'm so grateful for it every single day.

[51:58] Claudia: Right? That it's like, oh, like a Gleek that thinks about Glee 24 hours a day thought of this idea. And of course, it would never see the light of day on the series, but it did.

[52:11] Ari: A Gleek that thinks about Glee 24 hours a day named Ryan Murphy did this.

[52:17] Claudia: No, but—

[52:18] Ari: I think even—

[52:19] Claudia: I know what you mean. I agree. I do agree.

[52:22] Ari: No, I don't. Okay, Whitney in the chat just asked a very good question. Is Ryan Murphy even a Gleek?

[52:28] Claudia: Probably not.

[52:29] Ari: He's not a Gleek until he becomes the Gleek of the week.

[52:33] Claudia: Seriously.

[52:35] Ari: Seriously.

[52:36] Claudia: Your lips to God's ears.

[52:38] Ari: Again.

[52:38] Claudia: And he's in the chat.

[52:39] Ari: And he's in the chat. And God is listening.

[52:44] Claudia: Oh, you go girl.

[52:46] Ari: I was gonna say the third, the kind of third location of the performance also gives very fanfic. It feels like a dream.

[52:54] Claudia: You know, it's just like, what is this? This is not on the show.

[52:59] Ari: Oh, I understand. Yeah.

[53:01] Claudia: Yeah. It's just a strange place.

[53:04] Ari: Right? Because fanfics, like, typically, like, they'll build the world because they don't care about budgets. They can just go wherever the fuck they want. Anyway.

[53:15] Claudia: And I think that now we've discussed "Smooth Criminal" enough. I actually remembered I had one thing, one point, which is I have a friend.

[53:22] Ari: Yes.

[53:23] Claudia: Who is a professional cellist.

[53:25] Ari: Oh, wow.

[53:25] Claudia: And she and one of the— I'm not a public facing Gleek so much. But I one of the only times I've spoken about it in recent years, in public was I am now—

[53:41] Ari: Yeah, this is true. But anyway, but was someone was talking about, like this friend of mine and another person we're talking about using cellos in pop music. And this number was mentioned as kind of an example of renditions that draw like very explicitly on—

[54:01] Claudia: Oh, God, sorry, the guys are really—

[54:09] Ari: Don't look at them. We're talking about something.

[54:20] Claudia: No, I understand what you're saying.

[54:41] Claudia: Features cellos very prominently and then pulled it out and started playing it and I had to be like, oh, oh, I love, yeah, this is good. I've never heard of this. I think that is very important to all musical history.

[55:02] Andrew: Yeah, it was really, it was a really big moment, I would say. I was going to say my piece about the song is that I feel like this is one that non-Gleeks kind of either have like an awareness of it and are like, yeah, that was a pretty cool thing. I don't really know if I've backed that up, but I feel like when talking to people that aren't like scary and insane about Glee, they're like, yeah, I feel like I saw that cool, weird duet with the cellos and the beautiful woman and the gay guy. And it was pretty good.

[55:33] Claudia: I love when it would permeate through. Connor brought that up with "Rumor Has It Someone Like You," that it's like, people would be like coming up and be like, hey, I saw that show that you get behind and you did a good thing with that.

[55:45] Andrew: Yeah, I feel like this is one of the big ones.

[55:50] Claudia: Yeah. People still, well, I mean, this conversation was like this year, people still talk about it, I feel. I fear.

[55:57] Andrew: Yeah, I fear and I feel. And I feel fearful for what it's against. Um, I don't know what it is yet, but do we feel? Gosh, I don't even know. I don't even know what to feel right now.

[56:14] Claudia: Oh, God. Yeah. I kind of forgot that we have to watch something else and decide which one's better. Oh, my God. Nicole. Can we talk about right before? Can I just also mention the Santana hat?

[56:24] Andrew: Yes, Santana hat.

[56:26] Claudia: Why would you say it? And sometimes when Santana wears a hat, it actually means so much to the culture. I'm thinking Valerie, season two. I'm thinking about when she has that like a Russian looking fur hat in "Born This Way."

[56:42] Andrew: God, I forget how many. This is making me feel something thinking about these hats.

[56:46] Claudia: Can we name another? Obviously the fedora in this.

[56:51] Andrew: She wears another hat. I feel like when she is rocking like, oh, no, no, that is "Born This Way." Does she wear a hat when she's? No, that's Britney.

[56:59] Claudia: When she's wearing a vest. Is she wearing a hat with a vest? Oh, "Girl on Fire." She's wearing a hat.

[57:02] Andrew: Yes. Oh, my. Wait, but why am I struggling to? What? What hat? What kind of hat is that?

[57:11] Claudia: It feels like a new like a newsboy. Let me look it up. It's like beret adjacent. Is it not?

[57:17] Andrew: Yeah, maybe it is.

[57:19] Claudia: Glee. Beret adjacent. Beret adjacent. Title that maybe. No, she's from Missouri, I fear is what someone else said. It's like a floppy beret.

[57:25] Andrew: Oh, sorry. I'm not crazy about that hat. But I think that like she had such a good. She had such a good run with hats.

[57:38] Claudia: Yeah, that there's there stands a reason that one hat would not sit with me.

[57:41] Andrew: It's like a cute little knit hat. I love it.

[57:47] Claudia: Eduardo says that she's wearing a giant bow and "Bad Romance." Remember that one?

[57:51] Andrew: Mm hmm. Here we go. Are we ready? I don't even know.

[58:00] Claudia: No, I'm so scared. I'm about to see what it is. Oh, God. So the same episode. Oh, oh, my God. What are the odds? What are the odds?

[58:10] Andrew: You'll be fine. It's not as scary as it could be.

[58:24] Claudia: Yeah. Oh, definitely not. But I it's just it's sad. Oh, that not sad the song but just you know, I wish that it you know, I want both songs to be safe.

[58:39] Andrew: Yeah, totally.

[58:45] Claudia: We know what that is. Oh, no. Oh, no. Very bad.

[58:58] ♪ Musical number: "Human Nature" — performed by Samcedes ♪

[1:01:08] Claudia: Um, okay, so I have a theory. I think that Satan, who is here, heard what I had to say about the songs in the Michael episode, and I was like, I shouted out specifically, "Never Can Say Goodbye," "Wanna Be Certain Something," and "Ben," and was like, Oh, Bet, you didn't reference "Human Nature." That's what you get. Here it is.

[1:01:37] Andrew: I'm very upset.

[1:01:40] Claudia: But you know what? There is a world where like, either one of you could convince me to vote for this. That's how I feel. Right?

[1:01:46] Andrew: Yeah. That was so beautiful. So stunning. Not talked about enough. And yeah, it really hit. I had tears in my eyes. I see it.

[1:02:02] Claudia: And I never Yeah, there's something about being in the zoo.

[1:02:05] Andrew: Yeah, it really does. Yeah, it's so someone wrote on the chat that it's like one of the most romantic duets I yeah, incur. Yeah, it's so beautiful. Oh my god.

[1:02:19] Claudia: And it's their only duet. And it's just perfect. It's just like, it's almost I feel the same way about like, I feel pretty, I'm pretty. And I've said it before, where I'm like, I feel pretty, I'm pretty. Part of the like, part of the many reasons that it has massive appeal is that like, to me, that it's like, it's the only one that we got, you know, we treat it so sacred, because it's the only one and human nature is similar, but it's like, I remember in season five, where I was like, Oh, well, we only had human nature in season three. So sure enough, we have so much same CDs, but in season five, surely we're gonna get another duet and we don't. And so I'm just like, human nature just like has like much more meaning because by series end, this couple that goes up and down and up and down all over the place only has one duet to their name. And it's this and it's beautiful. And it's stunning. And they stuck the landing in so many different ways.

[1:03:13] Andrew: I feel like in the chat, someone was saying that maybe it's even it's like part of the fact that smooth criminal is so hyped is almost like giving it negative points and me like my moral how I'm feeling the way I'm being like, like, I don't know. It's like, yeah, we don't talk about this enough. But it is like pretty well represented as a great song from the show and a great representation of Sweet Baby Sam CDs. And it's actually insane. I think I'm gonna get another do it. That seems like not right.

[1:03:47] Claudia: Yeah. When you said when you said that you were sad, like it wasn't hard, or you didn't say it wasn't hard, but you're like, well, this is sad, because we want both to stay. I like didn't even think that this is what you had pulled.

[1:04:05] Andrew: I don't know. No, I completely agree with like, smooth criminal being like, so hyped that it's like, you ask a non Gleek to name the 20 most popular Glee songs. And I feel like smooth criminal is in there. We're like, it's like, that's the song that like we were saying that's permeating through human nature isn't. And so I'm like, I don't want the end of the Glackett, personally, selfishly, all these reasons my own. I don't want the end of the Glackett to just be like, beginner's guide to Glee. You know what I mean?

[1:04:37] Claudia: Yeah. No, go ahead.

[1:04:44] Andrew: I was gonna say that's a good point. Yeah, I can say like, yes. But I think there's gonna be, ideally, and I think what actually will happen is like a combination of some kind of classics, and then also some special favorites that sneak through maybe. Because I don't know. Like, you're not gonna vote out. "Rumor Has It Someone Like You" just because it's like, that's true. Top, top, top tier. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I know what you mean. Also, some of the the ones that like, permeated, I don't know, for me, I think, I don't not to like, already put the beautiful girls against each other. But I think one thing is, you do have to consider that the arrangement of it all. And like, are they doing something different?

I get I know this is like, yeah, I don't know. I always think about that. So like, if it's a mashup, they're doing something different. And usually those will not usually but I guess sometimes like those like permeated the culture because people, yeah, people are talking about it if it's new, if it's different.

[1:05:54] Claudia: Right, right, right. Like, oh, let me let me hear what they did with this song.

[1:05:59] Andrew: Yeah. Or like, if they slowed it down, or sped it up, or did something fun with it. Then exactly. Yeah, this is what we were you were saying, also about the idea of like, building an episode around the song is, well, like, this was such an inspired decision, as in, there was something really something new to be said, like they had something to say, almost. I do think this one, it like the, it's hard, because you're looking at them, maybe putting my sort of academic hat on, but you're looking at them. You're putting a Santana, you're, you're being inspired by Santana and putting a hat on.

[1:06:38] Claudia: Yeah, my beret adjacent. I see it. I see it.

[1:06:48] Andrew: Yeah. And I'm thinking, well, there's two different frameworks that I'm looking at that one is like, I look at something the same cities do it. Yeah, I was like, genuinely feeling emotional. And I was thinking about the whole plot that they have, and the way that like he has Mercedes in the background and lights and so obsessed, gorgeous to me. Yeah. And so much of it is like emotion driven and plot driven. But then it's sort of an alternative framework. I'm looking at just the song. And just like what they did with the song. Yeah. Even a production level. And I'm like, Oh, well, it's just too different. It's just you're looking at it in two different ways. Or I'm saying I am looking at it in two different ways.

[1:07:23] Claudia: Two different hats.

[1:07:28] Andrew: Two different hats. Taking one off, putting one on, like taking it off. How much is going on in the hat department? And so then I'm just like, I find it I think it's this actually really hard competition. And I think as we go through the rounds, they'll all it'll like become harder to compare because you're using we're using like various different ways of like, or like lenses of examining these songs.

[1:07:51] Claudia: Yeah.

[1:07:54] Andrew: It doesn't necessarily translate to like, yeah, judgment.

[1:07:58] Claudia: Yes. I agree. I feel like that's what makes this a much harder competition than you would think. Like, I feel like with a smooth criminal, or something of that level, you're, you're thinking of pulling like, like the only things that are gonna like have a chance to get it against it are like, you know, I don't know, like, don't stop believing whatever, like the classics are like the really, really heavy hitters that we all think of.

[1:08:21] Claudia: And maybe Human Nature is not one that I would have like, listed as a like, okay, let me list 10 songs that are going to beat Smooth Criminal. But in the context of watching it, and also like, the emotional and like, the way it represents the show, in a very different way, that I feel like depending on the day, I could want the like, crazy theatrical, smooth criminal vibe and like, weird and crazy plot point of the Warblers literally enacting gang violence against Blaine. Right. And like, I feel like this is a Sweetie Pie story. Like, yeah, I'm just regurgitating both of the beautiful, beautiful sentiments that you've just said. I feel as though right now in this moment, when I'm like, I am so much more, like emotionally responsive to the aspects of Glee that are cutesy right now.

Like what is what is what is Glee all about? And I feel like Human Nature captures what Glee is about far better than Smooth Criminal. Because Ari, you brought up in the discussion before that I brought up before that potentially Smooth Criminal was just put in there to be like, hey, this is the song that we're building the episode around. And, and it is great. And it is perfect. And we spent so much time on the arrangement, and it's stunning. But yeah, I'm, I'm also British.

[1:10:01] Ari: In your Ari bag.

[1:10:03] Claudia: Or not. It's me, Claudie and Ari, if they do say sorry. I've been sitting on that one. Stupid. Wait, but like, no, I feel like very, very torn by this, because I think that it really is day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute competition for me, that I could really see myself voting for either one. It's insane to say.

[1:10:32] David: Yeah, I feel like I kind of want to like, vote what my gut is telling me before I get more confused.

[1:10:40] Claudia: Yeah, I feel really confused.

[1:10:44] Ari: Mind and heart.

[1:10:47] Claudia: It's like, also, like, I associate my like, earlier memories of getting involved with, like, loving this show with more like, Smooth Criminal, like these crazy, exciting musical numbers, showcasing these really interesting characters that I'd never seen on like, my tech TV screen before, like, this is a great showcase of Santana as a vocalist, as like, kind of a comedic character as a really strong character who, you know, fights for her friends, someone put that as an example of how this, this number does showcase like this character development of this really important, leading character in the show. So it has, it's more than just it being a fun and cool song, like it does carry weight for me there. Yeah.

[1:11:40] Ari: She can wear a hat.

[1:11:41] Claudia: She can wear a hat, that's important to note. And it's a good hat, not one of those bad hats that we see later on.

[1:11:49] David: I think you're right. I think the Santana of it actually also, yeah, there's a lot in that episode of her, like, there's a lot of actually emotional weight to what she's doing. And, and a lot of it, like, also has expression in that scene. I think it's hard to then, I don't know, I think because also the Grant Gustin of it all, I'm like, like, kind of who are you? Like, he could have been anyone in that scene.

[1:12:16] Claudia: You lose me there. He is Sebastian's wife.

[1:12:21] David: No, he was really, really incredible in that role.

[1:12:24] Claudia: And I'm not trying to say, I'm not trying to say.

[1:12:28] David: No, no, no, no, no. I know what you mean.

[1:12:30] Claudia: I more meant it could have been like, he doesn't, the character doesn't play that much.

[1:12:35] David: Oh, I know. Yeah.

[1:12:36] Claudia: One of our guys. He's not like one of our babes.

[1:12:40] David: Okay, so okay.

[1:12:42] Claudia: But yeah, no, but it's still, it was more to that. Oh my god. I feel like I'm

[1:12:51] Ari: Oh, come on out, Grant Gustin, my old neighbor.

[1:12:57] Claudia: Personal friend, Grant Gustin. No, I, it was more that I, it was more to say how much Santana is doing that, like, she, like, carries so much in that performance that it still has emotional weight for me, even though it's not a, it's not a duet between two characters where, like, I care about their

[1:13:18] David: Yeah, yeah, totally.

[1:13:19] Claudia: Yeah, it's, I'm sorry, go ahead.

[1:13:25] David: No, I want you to say.

[1:13:28] Claudia: I was just gonna say it's crazy, because a lot of the Grant-led numbers don't do anything for me. And it's not that I like, think he's bad at singing. It's just like,

[1:13:37] Ari: Glad You Came is fun.

[1:13:40] Claudia: Glad You Came is fun, but like, he sounds like he's doing karaoke.

[1:13:44] Ari: But I will say Live While We're Young and also Stand.

[1:13:48] David: Bad.

[1:13:49] Claudia: He always kind of sounds like he's doing karaoke. I think this is the only time that he doesn't.

[1:13:53] Ari: Well, okay, so.

[1:13:54] Claudia: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, this one, he, he holds his own against, inarguably, one of the best vocalists on the show. So you got to give him some points for that.

[1:14:03] David: My question.

[1:14:03] Claudia: This is true. This is true.

[1:14:05] Ari: Do we, how do we feel about, because this is also minute by minute sort of feeling for me, that I have about the Galactica as we move forward, is that, do we ever feel comfortable voting for characters that are like, okay, so like a Sebastian, for instance, that it's like a character that like, well, like, we want to see you in a future round. If we cut him off here, he's done. You know, that it's like, we want there to be some representation for some of, some of these characters that don't have much going for them. But I guess, you know what, as I say that, I literally wrote down a note while watching Human Nature. And Sam is a character, as of the end of round two, doesn't, is one of like, three main characters, him, Jake and Kitty don't have a single solo in, in the Galactica anymore.

So it's crazy. This isn't kind of a tangent, but it's crazy. The solos that they gave that boy, like he does such a better job on all these other tracks. And just so that's true. Stupid. Okay, wait, so we can't vote like that, because it's, it's a dangerous game.

[1:15:29] Claudia: That's the best song on Glee. They are nowhere near the best song on Glee. That's a them problem.

[1:15:32] David: Them problem.

[1:15:37] Claudia: That's none of my business. That is none of my business. I also think like, maybe I'd feel that way with certain characters, but not like Sebastian. Like, come on, his musical musings are not really the thing that I just know, a good character that Ari is zooming in from a red state, the reddest red states right now.

[1:15:51] Ari: The way that she said that.

[1:15:54] Claudia: She's like, gotta be good. You gotta be the best.

[1:16:01] David: No, I kid, I kid.

[1:16:03] Ari: Person of color, I would say.

[1:16:06] Claudia: Audio medium.

[1:16:07] Andrew: My god.

[1:16:12] Claudia: Audio medium.

[1:16:13] Andrew: British is the color in question.

[1:16:17] Claudia: British, my favorite color.

[1:16:20] Ari: Oh my god.

[1:16:23] Claudia: Um, okay.

[1:16:25] Andrew: The 1am a bit off.

[1:16:26] Claudia: The 1am, yeah, we got-

[1:16:27] Andrew: Yeah, she's gotta go to bed.

[1:16:28] Claudia: Yeah, I think-

[1:16:29] Andrew: Let's do it.

[1:16:30] Claudia: I feel like, I feel like I've been deluded.

[1:16:33] Andrew: You're not going to sleep now. This is, wake up. This, it's time to vote.

[1:16:39] Claudia: Oh god, I actually don't know. I don't know.

[1:16:41] Ari: I do.

[1:16:41] Claudia: I do.

[1:16:42] Andrew: Go ahead.

[1:16:42] Claudia: Really?

[1:16:43] Andrew: I'm gonna go.

[1:16:44] Claudia: Yeah, do it.

[1:16:45] Andrew: Okay, should people please, that's all I'm gonna say.

[1:16:47] Claudia: I think that you're gonna say-

[1:16:48] Ari: I'm talking for the worst.

[1:16:49] Claudia: You're saying smooth criminal.

[1:16:51] Ari: I'm saying smooth criminal. Yeah, I am. After all that, after all that game I just played, mostly because I think I talk myself out of it and then back into it. Towards the end when I realized that like, it's not just a matter of like a cutesy song between Sam Sadie's whom I do love and I love those characters individually and I love them together and it's a great kind of like moment encapsulating that whole arc within the story of Glee. It's not just that versus like smooth criminal rocks and is sexy, like there's more to it. You made a very good point about Santana being a good friend.

[1:17:32] Ari: Yeah, and someone in the chat said that. I'm sorry, I don't mean to take credit for that. But I think also the fact that like I, it has a lot of nostalgic memories for me. I remember being, I was kind of young when some of the earlier seasons were on TV and I remember walking, you know, my parents watching Michael. That was about to sound insane. It's not what it looks like. It's not what it looks like. We're watching Glee. Oh my god. I remember that like very vividly and so that's just like one of the early season episodes that I remember like actually having awareness of it being on at the time that I was.

[1:18:08] Claudia: Sure.

[1:18:09] Ari: Yeah, like a sentient human being, I guess. And then for all the other great reasons, like it's a great performance, great vocal, great sexual tension and it's a like a banger of Glee. Like I was thrashing around that whole time. It was great.

[1:18:28] Andrew: We don't vote on objectivity. This is a glacket.

[1:18:31] Claudia: This is a glacket.

[1:18:32] Andrew: Do not vote on nostalgia. We vote on objectivity. No, we don't.

[1:18:39] Claudia: Okay, I think they're gonna be mad both ways. So I feel, I feel okay with that.

[1:18:43] Andrew: And scene.

[1:18:45] Claudia: Thank you so much, Claudia. This has been an iconic first appearance by Claudia.

[1:18:51] Andrew: All right, so why did I just get a notification that Chris Colfer entered the waiting room, but it's spelled with Chris? Both what should be C's are K's?

[1:19:03] Claudia: Okay, well, he's in there.

[1:19:10] Andrew: Chris, welcome on in. Okay, Ari, now that Chris Colfer is here, do you have your vote ready?

[1:19:19] Ari: I think I fear that I do.

[1:19:22] Andrew: Yeah.

[1:19:23] Ari: I really, I really, I don't know. But I think that even despite the tears in the eyes, I think I also have to go with Smooth Criminal.

[1:19:42] Claudia: Oh, this is perfect scenario. Perfect. Because I'm doing a pity vote.

[1:19:48] Ari: Oh, beautiful.

[1:19:50] Andrew: Great. We all win.

[1:19:53] Ari: Okay. Do it.

[1:19:56] Andrew: All right.

[1:19:58] Claudia: Wait, Ari, I'm so sorry to interrupt you. Do you want to? Did you want to justify your decision?

[1:20:03] Ari: I actually think the more I talk about it, the less I'm gonna know. Yeah, I think I just have to do it. I have to trust the gut.

[1:20:09] Claudia: Yeah.

[1:20:10] Ari: Go for it. Sorry to everyone who was.

[1:20:13] Claudia: Yeah, I was rooting for you. I'm sorry. But I also think it was a good exercise of an actually really surprisingly hard competition that I wasn't like, making up my anguish. Okay. I think that like, I think it was. Who was it earlier? I forget. And someone in the chat said that this is a competition that's going to be talked about for weeks. And in many ways, I do think that people will bring up this competition. But I think that like, baby, we're just in round three. This is just what every episode is going to look like. There's just going to be at least one of them every week or two, you know?

[1:20:47] Claudia: Yeah, yeah. It's and that's way better than like, something that's super easy to like, you get a super heavy hitter and then one that you're like, okay, well, there's not much to say.

[1:20:57] Ari: Did you see the meme that?

[1:20:58] Claudia: I can't see them. They're not popping up. But I okay. Yay, Claudia voted with me, I can use my good job, Claudia.

[1:21:04] Ari: So Eduardo.

[1:21:05] Claudia: I have to go to therapy about you, Eduardo.

[1:21:07] Ari: Eduardo put a meme that says.

[1:21:11] Claudia: Elizabeth, Queen of England, Nikki, Queen of rap and Claudia, Queen of the glacket.

[1:21:18] Ari: I'm gonna have to go to therapy about that in a different way.

[1:21:21] Claudia: In a good way.

[1:21:22] Ari: In a good way. Love you, baby.

[1:21:23] Claudia: The whole chat is calling me a drug supporter.

[1:21:26] Ari: But Ari, you can't even vote in our elections.

[1:21:42] Ari: I can't because I'm a dual citizen. If you listen to the monologue, I was speaking for about five.

[1:22:01] Unknown Speaker: Sorry for not recalling the entire story lore.

[1:22:04] Unknown Speaker: He was trying to catch me slipping, he was trying to catch me slipping.

[1:22:06] Unknown Speaker: I know, at every instance, of course, you can't even bow.

[1:22:12] Unknown Speaker: That's what you want me to think.

[1:22:13] Unknown Speaker: Winnie said Missourians can't bow.

[1:22:19] Unknown Speaker: They're calling Claudia the Queen of the Glock and they're calling me a Trump supporter.

[1:22:25] Unknown Speaker: Um, okay, well, Ari, do you have any final words before you leave us?

[1:22:51] Unknown Speaker: In what kind of way? In a good way?

[1:22:53] Unknown Speaker: You're gonna tell your therapist in a good way or a bad way?

[1:22:55] Unknown Speaker: Yeah, in a good way or a bad way.

[1:23:24] Unknown Speaker: I was trying to make it political in your favor.

[1:23:27] Unknown Speaker: I was making it-

[1:23:28] Unknown Speaker: You kind of get it?

[1:23:29] Unknown Speaker: It was a very political and a very religious segment.

[1:23:34] Unknown Speaker: As every episode should be.

[1:23:36] Unknown Speaker: As it should be.

[1:23:38] Unknown Speaker: Anyway, Ari, thank you so much.

[1:23:41] Unknown Speaker: Thank you so much, girl.

[1:23:43] Unknown Speaker: Go to bed.

[1:23:44] Unknown Speaker: Go in peace.

[1:23:46] Unknown Speaker: Good luck with the next one.

[1:23:48] Unknown Speaker: Yeah, totally.

[1:23:52] Unknown Speaker: Love that girl.

[1:23:54] Unknown Speaker: Of course, we have David next.

[1:23:59] Unknown Speaker: Hello.

[1:24:00] Unknown Speaker: Hello.

[1:24:01] Unknown Speaker: Hello.

[1:24:02] Unknown Speaker: Hey, what did we think about that?

[1:24:05] Unknown Speaker: Well, first off, Ari, I don't know how I'm going to follow it up.

[1:24:09] Unknown Speaker: She's hilarious.

[1:24:11] Unknown Speaker: Oh my gosh.

[1:24:12] Unknown Speaker: I'm also catching a British accent from you as well.

[1:24:15] Unknown Speaker: Are you also?

[1:24:16] Unknown Speaker: I'm kidding.

[1:24:18] Unknown Speaker: Where are you Zooming in from?

[1:24:20] Unknown Speaker: Uh, Louisiana, actually, which is funny because that's where someone said Ari was, and I can confirm she is not.

[1:24:24] Unknown Speaker: She's not here.

[1:24:27] Unknown Speaker: You would know.

[1:24:28] Unknown Speaker: I have not seen her around.

[1:24:46] Unknown Speaker: I consider.

[1:24:47] Unknown Speaker: I didn't start listening until, like, the Kevin and Jenna episode, because I was listening to their podcast first.

[1:24:54] Unknown Speaker: But I've been listening to season two, and I've also been, like, very active on the Instagram.

[1:24:57] Unknown Speaker: That's why you have seen a lot of me, because I'm kind of insufferable on there.

[1:24:59] Unknown Speaker: But, you know.

[1:25:00] Unknown Speaker: You're good.

[1:25:01] Unknown Speaker: You're perfect.

[1:25:01] Unknown Speaker: You're awesome.

[1:25:02] Unknown Speaker: But speaking of season two and beginning of season three of the Glackett, do we have any competitions that come to mind where you're like, okay, what?

[1:25:09] Unknown Speaker: What the hell is going on?

[1:25:11] Unknown Speaker: Okay, so I do have Glackett opinions, but I've also been just, like, having, I have a whole, like, whole notes thing.

[1:25:35] Unknown Speaker: Okay.

[1:25:38] Unknown Speaker: The jazz ghost from the season?

[1:25:40] Unknown Speaker: Let me explain.

[1:25:41] Unknown Speaker: So at the start of the season two finale, like, y'all were doing intros, and, like, there was a sound coming in, and you're like, what is that?

[1:25:49] Unknown Speaker: Oh, you mean?

[1:25:49] Unknown Speaker: That was me.

[1:25:50] Unknown Speaker: You're talking about the round two.

[1:25:51] Unknown Speaker: I was playing along with you calling it the season two finale when you mean the round two finale.

[1:25:54] Unknown Speaker: Oh, yeah, sorry.

[1:25:58] Unknown Speaker: And I'm thinking about the season two finale of Glackett.

[1:26:02] Unknown Speaker: It's like, what if they're a supernatural element?

[1:26:06] Unknown Speaker: Okay, okay, well, but I just caught some of that confession, David.

[1:26:10] Unknown Speaker: Okay, so here's what happened.

[1:26:12] Unknown Speaker: I was Zooming in from my phone, and plot twist with Zoom on phone, like, it has, like, the Zoom page, and it also has, like, you know, when you have a call on iPhone, I was muted on Zoom, so I thought I was muted, but, like, I wasn't muted on the other end, so the jazz was coming from me.

[1:26:30] Unknown Speaker: That's awesome.

[1:26:32] Unknown Speaker: Were you playing?

[1:26:34] Unknown Speaker: No, I was just, like, there was, like, a YouTube thing going off, and when I was like, oh, I wonder who's playing jazz, and then I saw, like, you've been muted, and I was like, oh, that's so awesome.

[1:26:44] Unknown Speaker: I am.

[1:26:44] Unknown Speaker: You're the jazz ghost.

[1:26:46] Unknown Speaker: The jazz ghost from the season two finale.

[1:26:50] Unknown Speaker: Y'all remember the season two finale with the jazz ghost.

[1:26:54] Unknown Speaker: No more context from that.

[1:26:57] Unknown Speaker: I know exactly what you're talking about.

[1:26:59] Unknown Speaker: I do, too.

[1:27:00] Unknown Speaker: Wait, and then also, David, did I leave it in the episode?

[1:27:03] Unknown Speaker: Uh, I don't know.

[1:27:04] Unknown Speaker: I didn't listen to the episode back, but if you did, that is...

[1:27:07] Unknown Speaker: I feel like I did.

[1:27:08] Unknown Speaker: I think you did.

[1:27:09] Unknown Speaker: There's definitely, like, people saying it was Connor.

[1:27:14] Unknown Speaker: The jazz ghost.

[1:27:16] Unknown Speaker: I felt so bad.

[1:27:17] Unknown Speaker: I was like...

[1:27:18] Unknown Speaker: No.

[1:27:19] Unknown Speaker: No.

[1:27:19] Unknown Speaker: I see you talked to your therapist in a bad way.

[1:27:22] Unknown Speaker: Yeah, unfortunately.

[1:27:25] Unknown Speaker: But yeah, I just need to get that confession out there.

[1:27:27] Unknown Speaker: Thank you for coming clean about being the jazz ghost from the season two finale.

[1:27:32] Unknown Speaker: That's my claim to fame on this, uh, this glacket.

[1:27:35] Unknown Speaker: Oh, that's very important.

[1:27:36] Unknown Speaker: So, I don't believe in pity votes.

[1:27:38] Unknown Speaker: I'm going to vote for my more like performance.

[1:27:39] Unknown Speaker: Speaking of, I would have voted for Smooth Criminal, but, you know, just my more favorite performance.

[1:27:46] Unknown Speaker: Yeah.

[1:27:46] Unknown Speaker: When I'm at Musical Bingo, I'm like the, this is on Glee person, you all know.

[1:27:54] Unknown Speaker: And then I have some controversial opinions.

[1:27:56] Unknown Speaker: I'm not a Blaine Stan.

[1:27:58] Unknown Speaker: Uh-oh.

[1:27:59] Unknown Speaker: Um, so, and this is extremely relevant because I listened to the episode today, but you know, like, when Madame Thibodeau in Broadway Baby, when he appears and she's just like over it.

[1:28:08] Unknown Speaker: That's me.

[1:28:10] Unknown Speaker: Yeah.

[1:28:11] Unknown Speaker: When I hear him on the glack, I'm like, oof.

[1:28:12] Unknown Speaker: And he's, he is neck and neck with, um, I don't think any more.

[1:28:18] Unknown Speaker: I think he had, him and Rachel were, uh, each had 11 solos going into round three.

[1:29:46] Unknown Speaker: Yeah, thank you for that.

[1:29:53] Unknown Speaker: Um, I don't know who said it.

[1:29:56] Unknown Speaker: Well, I think it was someone in round two when it came up.

[1:30:46] Unknown Speaker: On April 20th, Easter, and also 420.

[1:30:50] Unknown Speaker: I posted the poll, the polls, which included Valerie season two versus Rumor Has It Someone Like You.

[1:32:29] Unknown Speaker: I was like, oh, really?

[1:32:30] Unknown Speaker: I get it.

[1:32:31] Unknown Speaker: But Love Song came back.

[1:32:32] Unknown Speaker: So we're all good there.

[1:32:33] Unknown Speaker: So we don't have to worry about that.

[1:32:34] Unknown Speaker: So both of them are yet to be pulled.

[1:32:35] Unknown Speaker: Yes.

[1:32:36] Unknown Speaker: Yeah.

[1:32:36] Unknown Speaker: What if we get that if we got that competition again?

[1:32:38] Unknown Speaker: If we season three of The Black Kit, that would be huge.

[1:32:43] Unknown Speaker: Claudia, no, no, don't do that.

[1:32:46] Unknown Speaker: Don't do that.

[1:32:47] Unknown Speaker: I don't want people mad at me.

[1:32:50] Unknown Speaker: Actually, I do.

[1:32:50] Unknown Speaker: I want a hard competition.

[1:32:53] Unknown Speaker: But I kind of do like when these competitions happen again, you know, like someone said in the gloss mail that it's like these competitions, you know, these songs that get voted back, you know, we've seen it only once before.

[1:33:03] Unknown Speaker: But Take About Vs.

[1:36:36] David: We'll see.

[1:36:38] Ari: I say Baby.

[1:36:40] Claudia: What do we have to add to this?

[1:36:43] David: When it came up, I think it was last round, I almost said last season again.

[1:36:49] Ari: Last season, you're right.

[1:36:50] David: Last round, it was pretty recent, not too long ago, I said something to the effect, I slid on my Instagram, I said something to the effect of like, why are people voting against this? Why do people hate fun?

[1:37:00] Claudia: Yeah.

[1:37:01] David: You know, like the section of the city scene, like, what's wrong with fun?

[1:37:03] Ari: Whatever happened, yeah, whatever happened to fun?

[1:37:06] Claudia: Um, and it is very fun. There's so many elements here. Like Jesse St. James being there, I think the outfits, it does feel like a term that has not been used that much recently, but I'm gonna dust it off. Glee porn. But I mean it, complimentary. You know, this is glee porn.

[1:37:31] David: Okay, say it again.

[1:37:34] Ari: Right?

[1:37:35] Claudia: Yeah.

[1:37:36] David: But it's like, this is like kind of like the elements of like, you did a glee number.

[1:37:41] Ari: Yeah. Okay, yeah. But it's also one of the like, beginnings. Like it's one of those early ones that set the formula upon which glee porn could draw.

[1:37:56] Claudia: So true. Glee porn can't actually happen.

[1:37:59] David: Without Ice Ice Baby.

[1:38:01] Ari: The chicken and the eggs scenario.

[1:38:02] Claudia: Right.

[1:38:03] David: Definitely. Yeah, definitely. Um, yeah, we have a lot of numbers that like, come from this that end up like the best part of it is how cute everyone is and how much fun they're all having, which doesn't make it not valuable. Like that girl in yellow in there. That's not Quinn Fabray. That's not Diana Agron. That's Quinny. That's Quinny.

[1:38:24] Ari: Wait, wait, who is Quinny?

[1:38:27] Claudia: That's what her mom calls her.

[1:38:29] David: Okay.

[1:38:30] Claudia: Not that I was thinking. I don't know what you're thinking. But that's all I was thinking. And I was like, Quinny, like, that's her.

[1:38:35] Ari: I understand what you mean. That's a very Quinny fit. Yes.

[1:38:39] Claudia: Yeah. And she looks so happy and baby. What's your Quinny reference?

[1:38:45] David: I clocked the outfit too. I was like, Oh, I forgot this the episode where like, Quinn is no longer a cheerio anymore. And I was like, look at her having fun. She's going for a lot. But Pete is having fun.

[1:38:55] Claudia: And it's very similar to like express yourself in the in the way that it's like, she's acknowledging the baby bump. Just enough. You know, but she's like, I got to get through this number. And I got to do the dance routine.

[1:39:09] David: I got to twirl around a bunch.

[1:39:10] Claudia: Right. The baby bump got to take a backseat, unfortunately, during this number. So, um, Matt Rutherford, of course, Ruben is bringing attention to Matt Rutherford sighting. That's always bonus points. Hello.

[1:39:24] Ari: Watch that space.

[1:39:25] Claudia: Um, I really don't have much more to add about Ice Ice Baby. And I'm like, again, I'm like ready for this to be the last time I talk about it.

[1:39:36] David: Okay, well, maybe we just get on with it. Well, David.

[1:39:40] Ari: Yeah, I don't I don't have much more to add either. It's fun. It's fun.

[1:39:44] Claudia: I liked it more than I like. I liked it more than I thought. As soon as it started, it was like more fun than I was thinking it was gonna be.

[1:39:53] David: Yeah. It was. Yeah. Ice Ice Baby. Um, what else? Anything else? Go ahead.

[1:40:01] Ari: I was gonna say I remember I was here when we pulled Busta Move.

[1:40:19] Claudia: Mm hmm. Yes.

[1:40:20] Ari: But Ice Ice Baby had Jesse St. James. I think that was like, literally what you said.

[1:40:24] David: Jesse St. James is the uh,

[1:40:26] Ari: the one point above. Um, so I just want to bring up what Ice Ice Baby won against in the past. So in round two, it was in the Connor and Allison Dodge episode and Ice Ice Baby won against My Life, Jolo.

[1:40:43] Claudia: Oh.

[1:40:44] Ari: And then I believe that Ice Ice Baby was in the Nikki Blonsky episode of the first round, if I'm not mistaken. Let me see. Where is that? Yeah, it was in the Nikki Blonsky episode. And at once it won against I Only Have Eyes For You, a ride or low.

[1:41:02] David: I really like that song.

[1:41:06] Ari: I think it's very cute.

[1:41:13] Claudia: No.

[1:41:14] David: Oh, no, that's something else. That's Valentine's Day. I get those reviews.

[1:41:17] Ari: That's Chain Melody.

[1:41:18] Claudia: Oh, yeah.

[1:41:19] David: Yeah. Um, but Sadie Hawkins, the I Only Have Eyes For You is like, very much so talked over in a way that isn't fun. Like, I'm not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you.

[1:41:29] Claudia: Yeah. Like, it's just in the background and you're not really getting much of it.

[1:41:32] Ari: And it was released on iTunes and

[1:41:34] Claudia: Yeah, it's really pretty.
