“Pull out the stops! It’s Today!” Showbiz siblings, Kristen and Sarah Goodman, take a deep dive into their favorite Broadway shows at the Theater on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. These two queer theater kids grew up surrounded by entertainment, and now they’re roommates in New York City, living out their dreams as theater-makers, performers, and creative consultants. Join them as they journey through the Musical Theater canon, celebrating the good shows that shaped them. Their first series, The Summer Stock Series, celebrates three classic mid century musicals: Hello Dolly!, Oklahoma!, and Mame. These are shows that truly shaped Kristen and Sarah. They grew up watching these musicals at a regional theater near Chicago called Theater at The Center. Their mom, Jenny Giocomo, starred in these three shows which were directed and choreographed by their step-dad, Gary Giocomo, in the Summer of 1993. 30 years later, they are revisiting these shows by watching productions at TOFT and taking a trip home to walk down memory lane.
