[0:01] Kitten: Meow, meow. Clucky and I are two best friends trying to make sense of the world around us. Adventures and discoveries are around every bend. Come along and explore with us.

[0:23] Kitten: Season 2, Episode 2. Mysterious Mystery.

[0:28] Clucky: Meow. Excuse me, Rubix. Are you still awake?

[0:35] Rubix: Oh, it's you. What do you want? I was just about to settle in my bed for the day.

[0:40] Kitten: Oh, that's right. You're nocturnal, meaning you sleep during the day.

[0:44] Rubix: Of course I'm nocturnal. All the best animals are.

[0:48] Kitten: Meow. Would you mind staying up for a few more minutes? I have a mystery I'm trying to solve.

[0:54] Rubix: A mystery? Why do you think I can help?

[0:58] Kitten: Well, you're in Maddox's room all the time, and I thought you may have heard people talking about what's going on.

[1:04] Rubix: I hear lots of things, but you're going to have to give me more to go on.

[1:08] Kitten: What kind of information are you looking for?

[1:11] Rubix: You're right. Hmm. Well, Maddox told me that she and Xander are not going back to school.

[1:16] Kitten: And Clucky says the family has not been on a thing called a vacation since I moved in. Do you have any idea why this could be?

[1:24] Rubix: Why should I help you? What's in it for me?

[1:26] Kitten: I don't know what I could offer you except friendship and the joy of helping me solve this mystery.

[1:31] Rubix: Ha! Friendship. I told you before, I do not need friends. However, I may have heard some things related to your mystery.

[1:41] Kitten: What have you heard?

[1:43] Rubix: It is bad. The humans are under attack by sneaky ninja germs that cause sickness.

[1:50] Kitten: What? Meow.

[1:53] Rubix: Oh yes. Squeak. Everything has been cancelled.

[1:57] Rubix: There are no parties or events. When they leave the house to go get food, they must wear protective face coverings and stay six feet away from other people.

[2:06] Rubix: Whatever that means. All forms of travel are limited. People are not allowed to gather in large groups. Doctors do not know how to stop the sneaky ninja germs.

[2:18] Rubix: This could be the beginning of the hamster revolution.

[2:21] Rubix: Ha ha ha. Squeak squeak squeak.

[2:25] Kitten: Meow. The hamster what?

[2:28] Rubix: This could be it. The time where hamsters come out of their cages and take their rightful spots as rulers of the world.

[2:36] Rubix: Ha ha ha. Squeak squeak squeak.

[2:40] Kitten: Wow. Meow. How did we get here?

[2:44] Rubix: I have heard your rooster calling me the hamster of doom.

[2:47] Rubix: Rooster calling me the hamster of doom. I rather like that title.

[2:53] Rubix: Who will have the last laugh when the hamsters rise up and rule over the humans?

[3:04] Rubix: It's time to freak. Give a little squeak. Here comes Rubens, the hamster of doom.

[3:13] Rubix: Times are a-changing, hamsters are uncaging. Soon you'll all be praising Rubens, the hamster of doom.

[3:24] Rubix: Hamster of doom, living in your room. Watching and waiting, always calculating. Look out, it's Rubens, the hamster of doom.

[3:39] Rubix: Hamster of doom, living in your room. Watching and waiting, always calculating. It's Rubens, the hamster of doom.

[3:54] Kitten: Wow. That was unexpected. Rubix, don't you think you're taking this a bit far?

[4:00] Kitten: How can hamsters be responsible for a worldwide sickness? You can't even get out of your habitat.

[4:05] Rubix: Oh, that's what you think.

[4:07] Kitten: Really? Why don't you show me?

[4:10] Rubix: I don't want to right now.

[4:12] Kitten: Meow. Okay. Well, thank you for the information on the ninja germs. I will see what else I can find out about that.

[4:22] Rubix: You will find it is the hamsters behind it soon enough. The day will come when you are my pets.

[4:30] Kitten: Meow.

[4:31] Rubix: Meow.

[4:33] Kitten: Rubix, I am happy to try and be your friend, but I will never be your pet.

[4:38] Rubix: We shall see, kitten. Times are a-changing. Now go away. I am tired and I need my day's sleep.

[4:47] Kitten: Meow.

[4:48] Clucky: Wow. So, how was your chat with H.O.D.?

[5:04] Kitten: Meow. H.O.D.?

[5:06] Clucky: Yeah. Hamster of doom.

[5:09] Kitten: Clucky, she knows you call her that.

[5:12] Clucky: Of course she does. I crow outside her window. Cock-a-doodle-doo. Good morning, hamster of doom.

[5:19] Clucky: How could she not know?

[5:21] Kitten: Meow, do you really?

[5:23] Clucky: Well, not every morning, but most of them.

[5:27] Kitten: Clucky.

[5:29] Clucky: What? It's a funny nickname.

[5:31] Kitten: Yeah, well, she seems to like it. She has even made up a song about it.

[5:36] Clucky: Ruck, she can sing?

[5:38] Kitten: Wow, I thought she'd be too serious for something that fun.

[5:41] Clucky: It surprised me, too. So, did she have any info on your mystery?

[5:45] Kitten: Well, yes, but, me-how, I'm not sure how much is accurate.

[5:51] Clucky: What did she say?

[5:53] Kitten: She said that humans all over are getting sick and that events and parties have been cancelled. Travel has been limited and humans cannot gather in large groups.

[6:01] Kitten: She also said that when the family does leave, they have to wear special protective face coverings and stay six feet away from others to keep safe from the sneaky ninja germs that cause sickness.

[6:15] Clucky: Wow, sneaky ninja germs. That sounds bad. Does she know where these ninja germs came from?

[6:25] Kitten: Well, me-how, that's where it really starts to get weird. She said the hamsters had caused it in an attempt for world domination and that someday soon they would come out of their cages and take over the world and I would be her pet, me-how.

[6:40] Clucky: Ruck, ruck, ruck, ruck, ruck, ruck, ruck, ruck.

[6:43] Kitten: What? How could that be? She can't even open her cage.

[6:49] Clucky: That's what I said.

[6:51] Kitten: Me-how, I don't know. I am really confused.

[6:55] Clucky: Well, that's okay. Sometimes it takes a while to solve a mystery. It seems like you did get some good info.

[7:02] Kitten: Humans are getting sick and that's why Xander and Maddox are doing school from home. And why the family's not traveling. We'll keep listening for more clues.

[7:11] Clucky: Xander said he is going to bring me in for show and tell this afternoon. Maybe I can find out some more then.

[7:18] Kitten: Clucky, are you serious? Did the mom person say that was allowed? What about Captain Jack?

[7:24] Clucky: Well, the mom person may not know I'm to be the star of show and tell. Xander said I just need to keep quiet till I'm in his room.

[7:32] Clucky: Then we'll shut the door and I'll be safe from the beast.

[7:35] Kitten: Me-how. Dogs.

[7:39] Kitten: Me-how, this is not a good idea. Captain Jack is not friendly with other types of animals. He is not like Rosie who is friendly as long as she knows you're not going to hurt the family. Captain Jack only likes people and other dogs.

[7:52] Maddox: Maddox tried to introduce us a few times while I stayed in her room. It did not go well. Gulp. Ruck! What happened? Well, I was trying to keep an open mind because I'd gotten to know Rosie, and she is so nice. She may be a little overexcited when she sees me, but while I was staying in Maddox's room, she would come in and play... our favorite game was Sneak Attack.

[8:17] Kitten: What's Sneak Attack?

[8:19] Maddox: Meow. I would hide in the corner and then jump out and surprise her. She's always surprised. She never expected it. Meow, meow, meow. So much fun. Get dead. Now who's getting sidetracked? What happened when you met Captain Jack? Why do you think he won't like me?

[8:36] Kitten: Oh, meow. Oh, right. Well, Maddox tried to introduce us. He started out okay. He was just sniffing me, and just when I started to think he might be okay for me to relax and say hi, he let out a huge bark, and yelled intruder, and then he growled, and he snapped at me. Meow. Thank goodness Maddox was there to take him out of the room.

[9:04] Maddox: Maybe he just does not like cats. He is a dog after all.

[9:08] Kitten: Maybe, but Maddox says he does the same thing to Rubix, and any other animal that's not a dog. She said he's old and set in his ways. He is not open to making out-of-species friends, except for humans.

[9:21] Maddox: Huh. Well, Xander says he sleeps a lot. Maybe he'll be napping and I won't see him.

[9:27] Kitten: That's true. Oh, look. Here comes Xander now.

[9:30] Xander: Good afternoon, Captain and Sir Cluckington.

[9:36] Kitten: Meow. Are you ready for your show-and-tell livestream?

[9:44] Xander: You sound a little nervous. Don't be. Everybody's going to love you.

[9:48] Maddox: Bark, bark. It's not the class I'm worried about.

[9:52] Xander: Okay, so, getting in might be a little tricky. We need to go into stealth mode. Mission Impossible style. Got it?

[9:59] Maddox: Bark, bark. Meow. Good luck. I'll provide the theme music.

[10:01] Xander: Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.

[10:14] Xander: Okay, moving into alumni. Checking to see if the coast is clear. Dun-dun.

[10:19] Maddox: Bark, bark, bark, bark, bark, bark, bark. All clear. Let me pick you up.

[10:25] Xander: Bark. Okay, moving into the living room. Bum, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun.

[10:37] Maddox: Bark, bark. Oh, no. We've been spotted.

[10:40] Xander: Bark. Cock-a-doodle. He's as fluffy as a poodle.

[10:43] Maddox: Bark. Intruder alert. Alert. Get off my lanai.

[10:47] Xander: What's going on? Bark. Bark. Who are you calling poodle? I'm from a long line of distinguished wheaten terriers.

[10:54] Maddox: Bark. Bark. How dare you call me poodle? Grrr. Xander, are you trying to bring Clucky in here?

[11:00] Xander: Bark, bark. Abort mission. We've been compromised. Activate distraction defense.

[11:06] Maddox: Bark. Bark. Bark. Bark. Xander, get Clucky out of here.

[11:13] Xander: Bark. Okay, Mom. Come on, Clucky. We must retreat to the rendezvous point.

[11:18] Maddox: Bark. Bark. Bark. Bark. And stay out. Hooligans interrupting my afternoon nap. The nerve.

[11:25] Captain Jack: Calm down, Jack. Bark. Come back to your pillow. It's okay, boy. Bark.

[11:39] Xander: Sorry, Clucky. We were so close. Next time, buddy.

[11:42] Maddox: Bark. Wait, relax. Let's get it in the hands. I have to get to class.

[11:49] Xander: Bark. Bark. What happened to Clucky? Your feathers are all out of sorts.

[11:57] Clucky: Oh, ladies, it was terrifying. I saw my whole life flash before my eyes.

[12:03] Maddox: Really? What was that like?

[12:05] Kitten: Yeah, I'm sure it involved lots of food.

[12:08] Clucky: Well, you're right about that. Oh, Clucky, we are so glad you escaped the horrible beast.

[12:14] Kitten: You know, he was a lot fluffier than I expected. If he was not so loud and barky, I can see why the humans would like him.

[12:21] Xander: Bark. His teeth, however, are huge.

[12:25] Clucky: Clucky, you are so brave. I am sure I would have fainted.

[12:30] Kitten: Meow, I warned you not to try and sneak in.

[12:35] Clucky: Bark. I know, I know, but I was going to be the star of Show and Tell. Xander made it sound so exciting.

[12:43] Maddox: Well, I may get another chance. It seems like they'll be doing remote school for a while.

[12:49] Kitten: Meow, I really wish I knew what was going on and why they're stuck at home.

[12:54] Clucky: Don't worry so much, kitten. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon enough. For now, let's just enjoy the extra time and treats coming our way.

[13:02] Kitten: Meow, it's always food with you. Thank you so much for joining us for today's episode. If you enjoyed it, please share it with a friend.

[14:23] Stuart: Because they lack toes!

[14:27] Maddox: Ha ha ha! They lack toes!

[14:33] Arty: Hi! My name is Arty Arty. I live in the sea. I have a joke for you today.

[14:42] Maddox: Hello, Arty! What does a shark eat with his peanut butter sandwich?

[14:48] Kitten: Hmm, I don't know. What did the shark have in his peanut butter sandwich?

[14:52] Arty: A jellyfish!

[14:55] Maddox: Ha ha ha! A jellyfish! Ha ha ha!

[15:01] Professor Thistles: My name is Professor Thistles and I am from Spinner's End. Oh my! Professor Thistles! Welcome! Let us begin. What would you have if you crossed an owl with an oyster?

[15:29] Professor Thistles: 50. An animal that gives pearls of wisdom.

[15:39] Maddox: Ha ha ha! Pearls of wisdom! Ha ha ha!
