[0:00] Kitten: Meow, meow, and Clucky are two best friends trying to make sense of the world around them. Adventures and discoveries are around every bend. Come along and explore with them.

[0:22] Narrator: Season 2, Episode 6. Freedom of Change.

[0:31] Clucky: Cock-a-doodle-doo! Good morning, hamster of doom! Cock-a-doodle-doo!

[0:41] Kitten: Oh, I wish Clucky would not crawl outside my window. Doesn't he realize it is Saturday? We get to sleep in today! Meow! Squeak, squeak, squeak!

[0:59] Clucky: Look, Kitten, he has even got Rubik's squeaking. Meow, if you only knew what he was saying. Oh, just you wait, Rooster. Someday I will get you back for taunting me. Squeak, squeak, squeak!

[1:10] Rubix: Rock, rock, rock! Hamster of doom! So fluffy and small! Too bad you can't get out of your cage. Cock-a-doodle-doo! Squeak, squeak! Your days are numbered, Rooster.

[1:25] Kitten: Huh, the way they are squeaking and crowing, you would think that they are almost having a conversation. Alright, Kitten, it seems like we had better get up, if nothing but to shoo Clucky away from our window.

[1:44] Rubix: Rock, rock, rock! Okay, Clucky, we are awake. Go back to the hens now. Rock, rock! Mission accomplished. I get so bored when Kitten sleeps in. Oh, thank goodness he is going away.

[2:00] Kitten: Ah, a little peace and quiet. Maybe we can rest a little longer. That would be lovely.

[2:17] Clucky: Why, that loud good-for-nothing Rooster's got my fur all on edge. I will show him. He will rue the day that he decided to taunt me. When I take over the world, he will be the first to feel my wrath.

[2:31] Rubix: Squeak, squeak, squeak. Wow, all the animals this morning seem to be very vocal. Maybe I can join in and tell you some of the things that have been on my mind lately.

[3:15] Kitten: Meow. I'm getting a little nervous. There are a lot of changes ahead, and I'm not sure how I feel about them.

[3:22] Clucky: Meow, go on. Squeak.

[3:26] Rubix: Changes? This could mean escape opportunities.

[3:30] Kitten: Heh, it almost seems like you can understand me. Well, even if you can't, it just feels good to say things out loud.

[3:38] Kitten: Mom and Dad recently told Xander and I that we are moving across the country to a state called Washington.

[3:44] Clucky: Meow, Washington? Kitten, are you okay? Did I accidentally pull your fur? Why did you jump up?

[3:51] Kitten: It's okay, lay back down.

[3:54] Clucky: Meow, calm down Kitten, you need to find out more.

[3:57] Rubix: Squeak.

[3:59] Kitten: Yeah, lay back down on your murder mitten so I can devise a plan.

[4:02] Clucky: Good kitty.

[4:04] Kitten: Purr.

[4:06] Clucky: Come on, please tell me more.

[4:08] Kitten: Meow.

[4:10] Kitten: I don't know where to start. I've grown up in Florida. All my friends are here.

[4:14] Kitten: Sure, we have visited family out west, but never for more than a couple of weeks.

[4:19] Kitten: What if I don't like it? What if it's too cold? What if I don't like my new school?

[4:23] Clucky: Meow, that's a lot of what ifs.

[4:26] Rubix: Squeak, squeak. Blah, blah, blah. When is this happening? How far is Washington?

[4:31] Kitten: Clucky, what if you don't like the rainy days? You don't like water.

[4:36] Clucky: Meow.

[4:38] Kitten: And it is so far away. I looked at the map and it's just over 3,000 miles away.

[4:43] Kitten: I don't know if we will ever make it back to visit.

[4:47] Rubix: Squeak.

[4:48] Rubix: Squeak.

[4:50] Kitten: 3,000 miles plus packing up to move? My escape is almost guaranteed.

[4:56] Clucky: Meow, purr. So many questions.

[5:00] Kitten: Don't worry, it'll all work out and I'll be here right beside you the whole time. Purr, purr.

[5:07] Clucky: Thanks for the snuggles, kitten. I knew I could count on you to help me feel better.

[5:55] Clucky: What? What?

[5:57] Clucky: Finally. Man, I thought you were going to sleep the day away. Did the H.O.D. like my greeting?

[6:04] Kitten: Clucky, you really shouldn't haunt Rubix like that. I know it hurts her feelings.

[6:10] Clucky: Rock. Rock, you're joking, right? She actually said she liked her nickname, Hamster of Doom.

[6:17] Clucky: Rock. Oh, kitten, it is so good to see you. Clucky has been so bored this morning without you.

[6:22] Kitten: Yes, he has been making us do drills and exercises while we waited.

[6:26] Rubix: If I had to do one more lap around the perimeter, I was going to crow.

[6:30] Clucky: I am a hen. It is very hard for us to do that.

[6:34] Kitten: Good morning, Bridget, Bella, and Brigitte.

[6:37] Rubix: I am so bored, kitten.

[6:40] Kitten: That's wonderful.

[6:42] Rubix: Wait, what? Didn't you hear me correctly? I said I'm bored.

[6:47] Kitten: I did hear you, and I still think it's wonderful. Boredom is so full of possibilities.

[6:54] Rubix: Did you fall out of a tree and hit your head recently?

[6:56] Kitten: You don't seem to be talking sense.

[6:59] Rubix: I don't care if you talk sense or not, as long as you make Commander Clucky take a break from all the drills.

[7:10] Kitten: When you're bored, your mind takes a break. We're free to wander and explore.

[7:15] Rubix: What's there to explore? We're in the yard like we always are.

[7:18] Kitten: We have done drills all morning.

[7:20] Kitten: Open your eyes, take a look around. You'll find things that you've never found.

[7:27] Rubix: All I see is that pile of dead leaves over there.

[7:30] Kitten: Let's dig a little deeper, discover something new. It's an adventure for me and you.

[8:27] Clucky: Are you serious? Rock?

[8:29] Kitten: Of course, meow.

[8:34] Clucky: See, kitten, it's just a pile of leaves that started to rock.

[9:10] Kitten: We've got your back.

[9:11] Clucky: Okay, here goes.

[9:14] Clucky: Oh my! There are bugs! Lots of huge bugs!

[9:19] Kitten: Cockroach creeps! My favorite!

[9:22] Clucky: Oh, save some for me.

[9:25] Kitten: They are so crunchy.

[9:28] Clucky: Oh, they can fly. Nothing like a snack on the go.

[9:32] Kitten: Flying fast food!

[9:36] Clucky: Yum!

[9:38] Kitten: In Florida, they're called palmetto bugs.

[9:41] Clucky: But aren't they just flying cockroaches?

[9:44] Kitten: You are correct.

[9:46] Clucky: But I think Floridians just like the sound of palmetto bugs better.

[9:49] Kitten: Did you know these delicious treats were here?

[9:52] Clucky: Actually, I did.

[9:54] Kitten: There was a palmetto bug in the house, and the mom person thought they may have crawled out from a pile of dead leaves.

[9:59] Clucky: Are you saying that these delicious treats can be found in all the piles of dead leaves?

[10:04] Kitten: Yes, most of them.

[10:06] Clucky: Their preferred food is decaying plant matter.

[10:09] Kitten: Decaying plant what?

[10:11] Clucky: Decaying plant matter.

[10:13] Kitten: Matter is a general term that means anything that can take up space or be weighed.

[10:18] Clucky: That sounds so scientific.

[10:21] Kitten: That's our kitten. Always learning new things with Maddox.

[10:26] Clucky: Oh, Clucky, that reminds me. I have news.

[10:29] Kitten: We're moving to Washington.

[11:01] Clucky: She said they had snow there.

[11:07] Clucky: She said it was an evil white fluffy blanket that covers the land and should be avoided at all costs.

[11:16] Kitten: Her family flew 3,000 miles to avoid it.

[11:20] Clucky: Do you think we will migrate every year after we move?

[11:24] Kitten: We can't fly. Will we have to take flying lessons?
