Jonathan Bennett skyrocketed to fame after playing heartthrob Aaron Samuels in "Mean Girls." The GLAAD Award winner and five-time nominee broke new ground at Hallmark Channel starring in and executive producing “The Holiday Sitter,” the network’s first gay-led romantic comedy. Fans have dubbed him “The Gay King of Christmas,” for his many hit holiday movies on the network including “The Christmas House” franchise and most recently, “Christmas on Cherry Lane.” The talented actor also hosts the ratings powerhouses “Halloween Wars” and “Cake Wars” on Food Network, “Times Square New Year’s Eve,” and “Battle of the Decades” on Discovery Plus. His work to bring more LGBTQ+ storylines to television and movies earned him the Equality Visibility Award. Other fan-favorite roles include taking on the iconic character Van Wilder in National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: Freshman Year, as Steve Martin’s antagonistic son-in-law in Cheaper By the Dozen 2, and roles on popular shows such as “Station 19,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Fantasy Island,” and more.

Hi, friends! Happy April!

We’re springing into a fresh month filled with possibilities. And I mean, that’s pretty FETCH.

One of those possibilities is to catch today’s guest in his Broadway debut performance before it’s too late! Push your hair back and saddle up, because we’re talking with the one and only Jonathan Bennett…

Jonathan Bennett is an actor, host and HUSTLER who was born in Ohio. He was burned into the fabric of pop culture (see what I did there) after playing the apple of Lindsay Lohan’s eye Aaron Samuels in the cult classic film Mean Girls. A role for which he still gets stopped on the street for today. You also may have spotted him reprising it in Ariana Grande’s iconic Thank U Next music video.

Jonathan has also lit up the screen in films like National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: Freshman Year, Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and Hallmark Channel’s first gay-led rom-com The Holiday Sitter. The GLAAD Award winner has also popped up on TV shows like Station 19 and Law & Order: SVU.

Jonathan is also a sought after television host, having led shows like Halloween Wars and Cake Wars on Food Network, “Times Square New Year’s Eve,” and “Battle of the Decades” on Discovery Plus.

His work to bring more LGBTQ+ storylines to television and movies earned him the Equality Visibility Award.

After hustling on screen for decades, the star is finally following his life long dream: to be on Broadway. You can catch Jonathan as Sir Robin in Spamalot through April 7. For more information gallop on over to spamalotthemusical.com

Stay tuned as always after the interview for your kindness tip of the week, and be sure to follow us on social media for more AOK fun…

Now without further adieu please welcome the joyful Jonathan Bennett…

Spring cleaning kindness tip -

Today’s kindness tip is all about the spring cleaning, but before you exist out - don’t worry I’m not here to lecture you about cleaning your home. I’m talking about spring cleaning our souls!

Spring is all about fresh starts, so why not give your inner world a good cleaning too? Here's a tip to clear out the negativity:

Bad feelings are like dust bunnies!

Just like dust bunnies gather in corners, unkind thoughts and negative energy can build up inside us. They make us feel grumpy or down.

Time to whip out your mental broom!

Instead of letting those bad vibes hang around, try to identify them. Are you holding a grudge? Feeling frustrated about something?

Once you identify the feeling, let it go!

Maybe you need to forgive someone, or maybe you just need to vent to a friend. Find a way to release that negativity and make space for more positive feelings to bloom!

Spring cleaning your soul can make you feel lighter and happier, just like a sparkling clean room.
