[0:14] Heather Bedor: Well hello. Happy, happy Monday. I like I felt that today. Like I really felt that. You were the jam intro today. I don't know why, but for some reason it just hit harder than it usually does.
[0:28] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[0:28] Heather Bedor: So, Brendan, what you miss out is that um we used to have different intro music, and then StreamMe switched on us to this like jazzy Kenny G style like elevator music. And so we just been kind of chilling with it. Um, so yeah, it'll be good. But happy Monday. If everybody is confused, why there is a third person on the pod. Um clearly you did not read the directions or the instructions or the description of the episode, but this is the one and only Brendan McLaughlin.
[0:56] Brendan McLaughlin: Um did I butcher it? Did I do it right?
[0:58] Heather Bedor: You did great. I feel like I'm back in the homeland, yeah.
[1:03] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, we'll go with that. I mean, you're very much a ginger, so it's great.
[1:07] Heather Bedor: Um, but we're so excited to have you here. Um for those of you that keep hearing me refer to Mob Daddy, that's him.
[1:14] Brendan McLaughlin: There you go.
[1:15] Heather Bedor: We'll go over that and how you got that lovely nickname that you're stuck with forever. But welcome, welcome everybody and Brendan to the Broadway Fan Club podcast. Um, I'm your crazies sugar high freaky girl, Heather, and my left, your right is the one and only Amber.
[1:34] Amber Brzezinski: Um, and if you hear barking in the background, it is not her roommate, it is actually the puppies that are having a WWE like WrestleMania brawl going on.
[1:44] Heather Bedor: I'm having a day.
[1:45] Amber Brzezinski: It's just I can imagine Jimmy maybe barking, but like no.
[1:50] Heather Bedor: Yeah.
[1:50] Amber Brzezinski: The puppies are huge. They are leaving you on Thursday, right?
[1:54] Heather Bedor: Yes. They have surgery scheduled for Thursday. I'm not sure if they're leaving me Wednesday or puppies and I both have surgery scheduled for the same day.
[2:02] Brendan McLaughlin: That's cool.
[2:03] Amber Brzezinski: But um they will be you know scheduled off, and then they will be finding their way to new happy homes.
[2:11] Heather Bedor: Yay, Brendan. Uh Amber does pet rescue and animal like fostering.
[2:16] Amber Brzezinski: So she always has these cute little babies all in her home, and then we give it really fun, funky names.
[2:22] Heather Bedor: So she had um well, you had Oliver and Claire before.
[2:28] Amber Brzezinski: And then you also had um Herbie, Herbie and Mama Rose, and Mama Rose, and then um these were going to take on like some phantom-ish names, and then uh they turned into Sunday Graham Cracker Marshmallow and Butterscotch.
[2:47] Heather Bedor: They're just like floof balls that like they had to be those names, they had to.
[2:52] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, yeah. Do you have any furry friends at home that are not of human kind?
[2:57] Brendan McLaughlin: I do actually. Uh she is upstairs with my brother, but um, I have a beautiful rescued.
[3:04] Heather Bedor: Hold on, let's see if this comes through.
[3:06] Brendan McLaughlin: My influencer phase. Oh, quality photo right now, but like, oh, that's my baby Savannah.
[3:13] Brendan McLaughlin: She is one year old, well, a little over one year old. She is a rescue from a uh kill shelter in Texas. I adopted her about a year ago, yeah, in June, a year ago.
[3:25] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, we both share the same birthday, which is really fun.
[3:28] Heather Bedor: Wow, that's it.
[3:30] Brendan McLaughlin: Meant to be meant to be. Aquarium babies, but she's the love of my life, and she started out as a little peanut, and now she's like this big mom.
[3:39] Amber Brzezinski: Is she growing under her head?
[3:40] Brendan McLaughlin: Because she's a pack.
[3:42] Amber Brzezinski: She's got the big head.
[3:43] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, so she is powerful too.
[3:45] Heather Bedor: Listen, she's the next Godzilla, but like in a loving way.
[3:48] Brendan McLaughlin: So she just wants to lick you instead of breathe fire in you.
[3:52] Heather Bedor: Is that what you're saying?
[3:54] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, sure. She's really, really strong. So I'm always joking around. I'm always like, oh my gosh, like one day she's gonna, I don't know, like kick a ball, it's gonna go into outer space or something.
[4:02] Heather Bedor: I will pay good money for that.
[4:04] Brendan McLaughlin: I also offered to pay Mernan money last night if he would do a cartwheel.
[4:08] Heather Bedor: Um apparently I'm very generous today, too.
[4:13] Heather Bedor: Um yes, and hello to our regulars, Jeffrey and Olivia. Thanks for joining us tonight.
[4:18] Amber Brzezinski: Uh Jeffrey, how am I feeling?
[4:20] Heather Bedor: I'm feeling very anxious. Um, I guess I'll share to the interwebs. Uh, I have um a really unique procedure being done on Thursday that is from my car accident.
[4:32] Heather Bedor: Um, but they inject stuff into my throat to kind of calm down my fight or flight response. So I'm super anxious and super nervous, yay, but I'll be okay.
[4:44] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, you're almost approaching like the year.
[4:46] Heather Bedor: The year September 17th will be a year for my car accident, which is nuts. I don't ever recommend getting into a car accident or getting a concussion/slash TBI.
[4:57] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, wild.
[4:59] Heather Bedor: It's crazy, but it's getting better every once in a while. Um, I'll have like a little slip up, but yeah, we'll see how it goes.
[5:08] Heather Bedor: So hopefully I have my voice. Um, because it's supposed to cause like a frog in my throat a little bit, and apparently, a fun fact, they'll cause half of my face to do for like half a hour so no sylbies that day.
[5:20] Heather Bedor: Um, but I will give a very selfish shout out to two different really great organizations that are helping.
[5:26] Heather Bedor: Um that I've done lots of work for, and I will happily post any kind of information if you are looking to support or need support um SFH which is still fucking here um they are for PTSD and trauma primarily for veterans but they also work with um other types of PTSD and the organization that's also helping out this college for the love of a veteran same kind of situation um but they offer veteran services along with other trauma situations situations on a case by case basis so without them I wouldn't be able to get the procedure done and knock on what it helps me kind of regulate so yay there there's my disclaimer for today.
[5:26] Heather Bedor: Oh Cheyenne's back shout out an electric on route to oh an electrician okay okay I was like you have an electric en route to your house like lightning is coming okay great well we have lots of bookie we have lots to cover tonight um first and foremost how cool was it and Brendan I don't know if you got to watch the the show last week but Adam Lewitz uh the creator producer composer from Don Giovanni came in during intermission during opening night last week so cool super cool and then Brendan you get to meet him tomorrow yeah are you excited
[5:26] Brendan McLaughlin: I am thrilled I am very very excited yeah so Don Giovanni at the cutting room um I can't wait to hear what you think um I made sure of it I double checked you do not have to wear formal wear you are good I mean you're always normal wherever you go.
[7:02] Heather Bedor: But fun fact is we are also now running a Don Giovanni fan group.
[7:07] Amber Brzezinski: So definitely check out the website.
[7:09] Heather Bedor: It's right there. Um, so we're super excited about it. But yeah, um, Amber, have you shared to our millions upon millions of people?
[7:16] Amber Brzezinski: Because we're at over three million followers right now.
[7:18] Heather Bedor: It's scary.
[7:19] Amber Brzezinski: I'm still sharing.
[7:20] Heather Bedor: I'm still sharing.
[7:21] Amber Brzezinski: Sharon is Karen.
[7:23] Heather Bedor: Um, Brendan, let's let's chat a little bit while Amber is still sharing, sharing alike. Um, can you kind of give us? I mean, one, you're fabulous just in general, but two, give us like who is Brendan Mac?
[7:37] Brendan McLaughlin: Who are you? Like, I know it's so hard, and like five words or less I was getting.
[7:42] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, like so, well, fun fact that you and I met for the Joy Influencer event.
[7:50] Heather Bedor: So join the musical, and immediately I saw you, and I was like, We're best friends.
[7:54] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, you have like the best shirt on. You were just so full of like sunshine and glitter and puppy dogs.
[8:01] Heather Bedor: Um, and I will tell you, so like we always talk about like, and you and I have talked about this too, Brendan, but like the difference between like influencer and influencer.
[8:14] Brendan McLaughlin: You know what I mean by that?
[8:16] Amber Brzezinski: Yes, and Heather Bedor definitely knows there's the influencers like, hey, check me out. I'm gonna get ready. Okay, here's the quick photo of the marquee. Okay, here's my drink. Okay, bye.
[8:25] Brendan McLaughlin: And you're like, what?
[8:27] Heather Bedor: Or like what you and I were talking about, you have this really great light for your uh video recording.
[8:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, and someone's like, Hey, do you mind lighting this for me? And you're like, Yeah, it's totally fine. But you said that you've had people who were like, uh no, I need that for something else.
[8:42] Heather Bedor: Ew.
[8:43] Brendan McLaughlin: So like there's a difference of like people who want to help theater and support theater, like yourself and us, and people who are kind of more in it for the business side of it.
[8:55] Heather Bedor: Is that the best way of putting it?
[8:56] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, help me help me feel this out.
[9:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, thank you so much. Um, so my name is Madeline Ashton.
[9:04] Heather Bedor: Uh that's been my go-to now ever since I saw Death Becomes or twice.
[9:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Um just Amber and I saw it on Halloween in ball gowns.
[9:13] Heather Bedor: We ran through Times Square and then part of the costume contest.
[9:17] Brendan McLaughlin: So we get it.
[9:18] Heather Bedor: Don't say I didn't warn you.
[9:22] Brendan McLaughlin: Okay, I'm it's like always been one of my favorite movies, like and like the beginning of time.
[9:28] Brendan McLaughlin: So just like to have it become a musical was like my dream come true.
[9:32] Heather Bedor: Yeah, absolutely.
[9:33] Brendan McLaughlin: Definitely.
[9:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, but anyway, yeah, sorry to take it side tangent, but that's okay.
[9:38] Heather Bedor: This is literally this whole show is fine tangents, you're totally fine.
[9:41] Brendan McLaughlin: Story of my life.
[9:42] Brendan McLaughlin: Uh but yeah, no, I have a little like light.
[9:46] Brendan McLaughlin: I don't have it with me, unfortunately. It's I think it's in my room, honestly.
[9:49] Brendan McLaughlin: But I have a little light.
[9:52] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh gosh, please.
[9:53] Brendan McLaughlin: It's the ring light that I got for ten dollars in the target clearance bin that's illuminating my face right now.
[9:58] Heather Bedor: Reflections of the earth.
[10:04] Brendan McLaughlin: But yeah, I have a little selfie light that I can't like clip onto my phone, and you could like put it either way.
[10:11] Brendan McLaughlin: And I've always works because it's not like the cheapy little like selfie ring, it's like a legit thing, yeah.
[10:17] Heather Bedor: Yeah, exactly.
[10:17] Brendan McLaughlin: This one was maybe instead of ten dollars, twenty dollars.
[10:21] Brendan McLaughlin: I love it because I've always felt like if you could light something good, it you get like more quality, and especially if you're trying to tell a story on social media.
[10:30] Brendan McLaughlin: I feel that if something is presented in a good light and with a good light, uh it's a match made in heaven.
[10:37] Brendan McLaughlin: So I I tend to just like geek out also too on like little technological things as well, if we even want to call it technology.
[10:44] Brendan McLaughlin: So yeah, so like I have like a little mic kit, I have uh my tripods over there, I thought she was over here.
[10:51] Brendan McLaughlin: Uh I I just like I like to look into different things and see what can help elevate my storytelling and what can really make people feel like they're actually there or entice them to go see something.
[11:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Um speaking of which not to go on another side tangent, but growing up, I didn't come for money, I didn't get to have a lot of experiences like a lot of other kids did.
[11:10] Brendan McLaughlin: So a lot of kids were like seeing wicked with the original Barbie Cast. That wasn't you know feasible for me and my family.
[11:16] Heather Bedor: Sure.
[11:16] Brendan McLaughlin: Do I regret my upbringing? Not one bit because it made me the strong person that I am today.
[11:21] Heather Bedor: Damn right.
[11:22] Brendan McLaughlin: So I think the really important thing is we love to make theater accessible.
[11:28] Heather Bedor: Yes.
[11:29] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, I mean, accessible one for any kind of you know, disabilities and being handicapable, but also accessible for people who can't necessarily make it to the wicked original Broadway cast or to that.
[11:41] Heather Bedor: Like I think that's really important.
[11:42] Brendan McLaughlin: And you talk about storytelling.
[11:44] Heather Bedor: Yes.
[11:45] Brendan McLaughlin: And here's the funny part too, and I'm gonna throw you out here for a second, because when I was like, oh my god, you need to be in a podcast, you're like, yeah, if you want your ratings to go down.
[11:53] Heather Bedor: True.
[11:55] Brendan McLaughlin: No, because we gravitate towards a genuine people, like we don't just say, hey, anybody wanted to come on the show, we're bored.
[12:02] Heather Bedor: Like you're so genuine, and you can tell that like there's a difference of storytelling or making content, and I'm not putting anyone else under the bus like that, but like you're a storyteller.
[12:13] Brendan McLaughlin: You're doing it to help the show, help the performer, help that kind of side going.
[12:17] Heather Bedor: You're not doing it because you're getting paid five hundred dollars to go to this restaurant to go see the show.
[12:23] Brendan McLaughlin: Like you're not doing it because it's a paycheck, you're doing it because you love what you're doing and you want to help them.
[12:29] Brendan McLaughlin: Absolutely.
[12:30] Heather Bedor: That was really beautiful.
[12:31] Brendan McLaughlin: So thank you.
[12:32] Brendan McLaughlin: Uh yeah, no, definitely.
[12:35] Brendan McLaughlin: And I've always been so passionate about theater.
[12:37] Brendan McLaughlin: I mean, I mean I know one name can say that, but it's always been kind of like a form of I guess maybe a healthy escapism for me.
[12:46] Brendan McLaughlin: You know, the world has always been a scary place, no matter what decade age, you know.
[12:50] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, I'm 32, so you know, obviously I've seen a lot, experienced a lot.
[12:55] Brendan McLaughlin: And for me, theater is a place where I can go just put my phone down, turn on, you know, do not disturb or turn it off altogether.
[13:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Um exactly, disconnect, like disconnect to connect.
[13:07] Heather Bedor: Yeah.
[13:08] Brendan McLaughlin: Seriously, and I used to tell people that too.
[13:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, I used to work for um a marketing agency in California for about five years.
[13:14] Brendan McLaughlin: And when they used to fly me out to LA um about maybe like once a quarter or something, I used to not buy Wi-Fi.
[13:21] Brendan McLaughlin: They would compensate me for the Wi-Fi if I wanted it, and I would say no.
[13:24] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, I just want moments to focus on what I'm watching, which would be like the movies I didn't watch, and then just really just be in the moment, which is something that we don't get to do nowadays.
[13:36] Brendan McLaughlin: I remember when there wasn't Wi-Fi on Playing Scott, I'm old. Um, and I would write, read a book or grab a magazine and like just sit there for hours. It is, it's a great like shutting everything else off and just having me time. And a lot of people feel like that's being selfish, but I think it's self-care and you really need that. And theater really is that too. We um I think some people take it for granted. You know, the people that are constantly Amber and I go on this all the time, and we'll talk about it even more. Um, the Apple watches or like smartwatches in general, they're constantly time checking. And Amber, what do they do? They just throw on the theater mode that turns it off the screen, right?
[14:15] Amber Brzezinski: Yes, there is a button on your watch that you can press that is theater mode that it doesn't turn the light on when it flicks on and off. And so I every single time I go into the theater, right before the show comes on, I turn it on.
[14:33] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, it's just with the push of the thing. One little button, one little button. It takes me like one whole second. I get it if you're waiting on like an emergency or something, but really like it's why do you need to time check?
[14:47] Amber Brzezinski: Exactly. Just leave it alone.
[14:49] Brendan McLaughlin: But so how did you get into it? Uh natural um transition and migration over to being now. Would you call yourself an influencer? Would you call yourself a storyteller?
[15:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Storyteller. I love it. Definitely storyteller. Tell us why.
[15:10] Brendan McLaughlin: I was blessed to grow up in a household where yes, we didn't have much means financially, but we had everything we needed in terms of love, in terms of care, in terms of support, and in terms of unleashing your creativity and using your imagination and making that your profit. So coming from that background and always being just encouraged to be creative and find creative outlets and to also embrace those that are already around us and that are already present, you know, that was the foundation behind everything. And then once I, you know, figured I was like, Oh, I like singing, and then I got, you know, into the public school choirs and stuff because I never went to private school, obviously.
Um you could tell now I never went. Uh no shame, no hate, but I did go to a private college and I'm still paying my loans. Anyway, uh but anyway, um then it just kind of evolved from there because I loved movies and I loved theater, but I wasn't really exposed to theater.
[16:14] Brendan McLaughlin: And so in my school district they used to have in elementary schools they would have the high school come around with whatever musical they were doing and they would put on like maybe three songs almost like a press junket in a way and they would perform and I will never forget I was in elementary school and it they came in to perform three songs from the Sound of Music because that was like their spring play or music musical sorry. And I came home and enamored and I was asking my mom and we also lucked out too because I was living with my grandmother um she's no longer with us obviously but um she really really helped build that momentum for me. So I was learning a lot from her you know she went to Sartes you know back in the day.
And can you imagine? Can you imagine? I am I can't even imagine and I'm so grateful for the relationship I had with her because I asked her every question I could think of so you know when she would be no longer here I would be able to keep those memories alive and she's like more people did that because I always say I wish I I wish I had the maturity to like take advantage unnecessarily advantage.
[17:22] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah to take advantage of of being able to ask my grandparents more of the historical stuff like learn more about them and how the world was because I think we lose that along the way. Um, but it's just this wonderment that I think at least myself, and I definitely know you guys too, are very much like you want to keep that like magic going for everybody else.
[17:45] Amber Brzezinski: Definitely, absolutely.
[17:47] Brendan McLaughlin: And so that kind of just played into storytelling. And once I got into theater and I started auditioning for shows in school and community theater, and I started getting roles and stuff. I was like, you know, I live in New York. You know, if I save up the money, there's some professional grade shows that are in the big city with the bigger lights, and a southern girl like me can get up there. And I went, and the first Broadway show I ever saw was Wicked in 2007 with Julia Mernie as Alpha Ba and Kendrick Hassanbaum as Glenda. And okay.
[18:20] Amber Brzezinski: It it was over from there.
[18:22] Brendan McLaughlin: You were hooked. You may tell you my very first. Okay, so my very first touring show was Meet Me in St. Louis. Oh gosh. With my grandmother and my mother, I was a whittle whittle heather. Yeah. Um, at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Fort Lauderdale, and then my very first Broadway show, let me tell you, I was pissed, and I've shared the story before. I was pissed because I went with my mom and my stepdad into the city. It was like really my first time in New York City, like without my stepbrothers, like as to go see a show. And my stepdad waited online for TKTS for like what probably was like over an hour, but it was like, you know, how it still is like hour long wait.
[19:06] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, and um, he came back with tickets for all shook up, and I was mad. I was mad because I wanted my very first Broadway show to be Phantom or Cats because apparently I'm a bougie girl. But in retrospect, it was all shook up. It was Cheyenne Jackson, who I've had the pleasure of conversating with about this exact thing, and he thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's amazing. Seeing that pro he has a delight. Um, but seeing that performance awoke something in me. I wasn't into theater, like I wasn't in the theater program in middle school or high school. Um, I did it towards my senior year, like instead of doing band because I was in band for forever, because that's my parents made me do, but it really just like awoke something in me. Not as a performer, I have no problem getting on stage. I don't want to memorize lines, but I love the back end of things. That tech side, I'm obsessed.
[20:04] Amber Brzezinski: So I get that. I get that for sure.
[20:06] Brendan McLaughlin: But go on, not to make this about me.
[20:08] Amber Brzezinski: No, not at all.
[20:10] Brendan McLaughlin: And so um, yeah, Wicked was my first Broadway show ever, and I just I've seen it five times now because that's it.
[20:20] Amber Brzezinski: Only five, yeah.
[20:22] Brendan McLaughlin: Play the lottery.
[20:23] Amber Brzezinski: Well, that's what I do. I the other the only time I actually ever bought tickets, I believe. Well, I mean, I don't mind, it was like a medal school, so I didn't even have an income, but um, was Wicked in my first Broadway show, and then after that, I believe I was doing the in-person lotteries because you know, back in the Stone Age, we didn't have the digital lotteries, so you had to get up right and early and show up to the theater, stand outside, have some cash in hand, and okay.
[20:49] Brendan McLaughlin: But I miss those lotteries.
[20:51] Amber Brzezinski: Me too.
[20:51] Brendan McLaughlin: I miss it. Amber, did you ever do an in-person? Because Amber lives in Connecticut. Did you ever do an in-person lottery?
[20:58] Amber Brzezinski: I did not, no.
[21:00] Brendan McLaughlin: The wicked one, especially.
[21:02] Amber Brzezinski: I have this history for it in Brendan, I'm sharing this.
[21:05] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, I see.
[21:06] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, yes.
[21:07] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes. Love it.
[21:09] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, I waited, I had it was freezing cold. I was this crazy girl, my family was in jersey. I went over and hung out with my friend Shauna. We went to go to the Wicked Lottery. It was still that you had the big golden drum.
[21:21] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[21:22] Amber Brzezinski: And I was a crazy girl. And I was wearing in the winter, suede Calvin Klein uh boots with a heel.
[21:32] Brendan McLaughlin: Why?
[21:33] Amber Brzezinski: Because I didn't know any better. But we played the Wicked Lottery. And at that point, it was either okay. When you entered lottery, okay, you write two or one.
[21:43] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[21:44] Amber Brzezinski: Right? So, and that was how most of the in-person lotteries were two or one. And then they would call people, like they would pull this out of this big drum. It was this big to do. I used to know um a girl, Mary, who used to do it, and it was a lot of fun. Um, but they would pull your name out, and you're like, ooh, because you had to be there.
[22:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, but it was our turn. They called our name, and I was like, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. They only had one ticket available.
[22:10] Amber Brzezinski: And I was distraught.
[22:13] Brendan McLaughlin: De Straught.
[22:15] Amber Brzezinski: So we went over at that time. I was working at Universal Studios, and we went over to I don't remember the theater where Shrek was playing.
[22:23] Brendan McLaughlin: The Broadway Theater.
[22:24] Amber Brzezinski: Okay, thank you. It was the Broadway Theater. Okay, great. Um, I was like, I don't remember. Um, oh no, did we do the Shrek at that point? We did Shrek or Chicago. I think we did Shrek that time. We went over to Shrek, and I was like, hi, I work at Universal Studios. Do we have new discounts? They gave us 25 tickets for center center original cast, but also like I was so bitter about Wicked, and then every time I play the Wicked Lottery, I win.
[22:50] Brendan McLaughlin: Every time.
[22:51] Amber Brzezinski: So I've seen it like 14 times. Don't judge me.
[22:54] Brendan McLaughlin: No, I'm not. I still cry like a freaking baby though, during it.
[23:00] Amber Brzezinski: Like it because it just I I mean, I'll just spit it out. It just means so much because it was my first Broy show. And growing up, I really once I learned at Alphabet, you know, who she was and the character, I relate to her so much.
[23:19] Brendan McLaughlin: I know now nowadays people might say I'm more Glinda because I'm like Louis Vuitton, what?
[23:25] Amber Brzezinski: Um but I related to Elphaba so much.
[23:29] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, really.
[23:30] Amber Brzezinski: Um to Glenda.
[23:33] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, but yeah, I related to her so much, and so even the story still resonates strongly with me. Uh even when I saw the film with my mother, because my mom was like, the movie's coming out, we gotta go together.
[23:44] Brendan McLaughlin: And I said, Of course we're going together. I'm like, can you stay up for like five hours or however long the movie was?
[23:49] Amber Brzezinski: Have you read the book?
[23:50] Brendan McLaughlin: I have.
[23:51] Amber Brzezinski: Okay, good.
[23:53] Brendan McLaughlin: Have you read the series?
[23:55] Amber Brzezinski: No, because I'm trash.
[23:58] Brendan McLaughlin: You are trash. You need to read the series so we can be friends again.
[24:01] Amber Brzezinski: Um I don't know. I I'm sure we've talked about this. Um a dear friend of mine who's also been on the show, Michael Drole, literally was with him two nights ago, was Bach.
[24:12] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, so every time around him, like we talk wicked nonstop, and it's amazing.
[24:18] Amber Brzezinski: It's so much fun. It's my favorite.
[24:20] Brendan McLaughlin: It's yeah, it's it will always be a special place in my heart, always.
[24:24] Amber Brzezinski: And the movie, you're okay with the movie?
[24:26] Brendan McLaughlin: Loved it.
[24:27] Amber Brzezinski: I loved it. Of course, you know, it was typical like, you know, theater fan, you're like, oh, another live action movie.
[24:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh my gosh. Saw it. Tears. My face was my face was redder than it is now, and I was just like, I hope I make it to November of next year.
[24:50] Amber Brzezinski: Have you heard of these crazy curls and boys who are going to wicked and leaving an intermission because they don't want to ruin the movie?
[24:57] Brendan McLaughlin: This is real.
[25:02] Amber Brzezinski: It's real.
[25:03] Brendan McLaughlin: It's a real thing.
[25:05] Amber Brzezinski: I mean, to each his own, but to me, I can't do that. Like, I need to know how something starts and how it ends.
[25:11] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, I need to ruin it.
[25:13] Amber Brzezinski: I don't think I'm not sure.
[25:14] Brendan McLaughlin: I literally Google plots before I see things.
[25:18] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, I go on blind. Like I that I used to do, and then I'm like, oh, this is coming up.
[25:22] Brendan McLaughlin: I like to be surprised.
[25:23] Amber Brzezinski: No, I like to like have a general idea of what I'm seeing.
[25:27] Brendan McLaughlin: That's more bow.
[25:28] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, I mean, if okay, so I will only do that if I get really annoyed at like a movie or a TV show, and I'm like watching it like at home, and I'm like, oh my god, does this character die?
[25:41] Brendan McLaughlin: I have to know because it's gonna drive me crazy if I can't if I if they're gonna die and I get emotionally attached to the character.
[25:47] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, I'm the same way when it comes to like the animals in like you know, horror movies and stuff. I'm like, there's something bad that's gonna happen because if not, I if there is, I'm not gonna watch it.
[25:57] Brendan McLaughlin: But if the animal is unscathed, I will watch it.
[25:59] Amber Brzezinski: Okay, my mother-in-law. My mother and stepfather took me to go see Marley and me on Christmas.
[26:07] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh no, cool, cruel.
[26:09] Amber Brzezinski: Oh no, I really when I'm seeing years ago when this movie first came out, and I was crying on Christmas. I'm just like, why would you take Marley and me?
[26:21] Brendan McLaughlin: Story about a dog dying.
[26:24] Amber Brzezinski: Um, and only a reason is because my stepfather worked for the newspaper that the guy that it was portraying also worked for.
[26:30] Brendan McLaughlin: And I'm like, can you have warned me?
[26:33] Amber Brzezinski: Uh an innocent little girl. Um that uh no.
[26:37] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, that's torture.
[26:39] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[26:42] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[26:43] Amber Brzezinski: Anyways. Not my favorite. But yes, back to Yeah, like pull out my like fingernails, but don't make me watch Marley and me. Like, I don't care.
[26:50] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, but I won't watch that.
[27:16] Brendan McLaughlin: Not my favorite thing. No, not my favorite thing, but it's there, it's poignant. But well, and talking about shows that I've recently seen. Um, Brendan, give me your from this past season, give me like your top three. Like, talk, let's talk about our top three.
[27:32] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, that was gonna be one of my questions too.
[27:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, totally, I'm totally invested. What are your top shows? I know you said, yeah, so it's definitely Death Becomes Her in no particular order because I'll just go. Never that's just cruel. We could never make it.
[27:47] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, no.
[27:49] Brendan McLaughlin: Exactly. That's like people we're not making you watch a dog movie where the dog dies here. I can't any side animal movies I can't watch. Um Death Becomes Her, Sunset Boulevard, and if you looked up my Instagram, you see a bunch of yellow because oh Mary.
[28:09] Heather Bedor: Amber is pretty much right on the same line as yours.
[28:13] Brendan McLaughlin: Perfect. Yeah, I loved I'm loving those shows as well. That's that's pretty much I went more the gossip side. All my favorite shows closed or closing. Well, swept away.
[28:24] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, I loved okay. Can we add that one?
[28:28] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah. Right. I loved Swept Away. I loved Swept Away too. I loved it so much. I miss our boys. Plus, I love Dead Outlaw. It was a lot of dead and death and dying.
[28:38] Heather Bedor: Yeah, lots of death this season.
[28:39] Brendan McLaughlin: I liked it. Operation Smeat, Quark.
[28:43] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[28:44] Brendan McLaughlin: And that's when uh they did the Ham for Ham, and it was like we're a show about death. We're a show about death. We're yeah. It was great. But I also it was kind of a unique season.
[28:55] Heather Bedor: Yes. Um but also, you know what show that I really love, and it's closing this weekend, guys. Or it's closing like this is its last weekend boop.
[29:03] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, I loved it's cute. Like I just I just loved it. It was that vaudlion style. It had that like sun like a hot vibe, like that that massive explosion of color and costume and dancing, and I'm just like, but why? Why is it gonna go away?
[29:23] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah. Um then there's some great off-Broadway shows. Um but it seems to be like the summer is always like the off-Broadway show debut. Have you noticed that?
[29:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes, oh definitely. Um, and of course, I mean I was at Heather's because hello. Um, have you seen it yet?
[29:42] Amber Brzezinski: No, but I need to see it immediately because I do love the movie, and I was mad the first time it came out. Like um, it was off Broadway because I didn't get a chance to see it. I didn't go, but I'm proud of myself though, because that FOMO helped me when Teeth was closing.
[29:57] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, yeah.
[29:58] Amber Brzezinski: I saw it, I think at the day before Christmas Eve or something. My one of my besties, Megan, shout out. Um I was like, hey, you have no plans, I have no plans. Heard this is a wild, strange journey. I think it was what like 40 bucks or something. I'm like, let's just do it. Like, let's go see teeth.
[30:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah. Exactly. I was like, nothing screams Christmas like Teeth. So we went to go see. I loved it. And at first I was like, oh, this is gonna be like I don't know. Loved it. It was funny because with New World, when Teeth was there, it was also Mama, I'm a big girl now, and Drag the Musical.
[30:31] Amber Brzezinski: Saw it also, yeah.
[30:32] Brendan McLaughlin: And they combined the stage towards. Were you there for any of those? Because I was, and I think Amber, you were with me that one time too. It was literally like everyone was at the stage door, and so they had it where the original stage door was on the other side of the courtyard.
[30:46] Amber Brzezinski: Now with Heather's, it's directly in front of the main entrance. Um, which is great, but also like that stage door was insane because it was three massive shows waiting, and so you would have like, you know, someone from Mama, like let's say Carrie Butler along like Alaska, um, and then like Teeth, and everyone's like, Oh no, I'm not in that show. Let me it's like it was great.
[31:09] Brendan McLaughlin: It was great. Yeah, I didn't do the stage door just because like I mean, as I'm getting older now, um, when I like when it's like a little bit cold outside, I'm like, oh, I get to go inside. But New World has the heater bulbs.
[31:23] Amber Brzezinski: I know, but still, I'm a wuss. I'm like, oh I'm calling this flatter my deck. Fragile.
[31:30] Brendan McLaughlin: Exactly. But put me in the heat, I'm fine. I'm great. I'm like an iguana, it's wonderful.
[31:35] Heather Bedor: Oh my god. Well, it was 108 degrees when I was up there what two weeks ago.
[31:39] Amber Brzezinski: Yes.
[31:40] Brendan McLaughlin: So bad. It was so gross. Um, what shows are you looking forward to?
[31:47] Brendan McLaughlin: Well, Don Giovanni, obviously.
[31:49] Amber Brzezinski: Obviously. We love that.
[31:50] Brendan McLaughlin: Obviously. Um what else is on my radar? Um, I'm seeing Prince Blank.
[32:00] Amber Brzezinski: Yes.
[32:00] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, I don't know. You know, I'm always feeling it.
[32:03] Amber Brzezinski: That's okay. You're okay.
[32:04] Brendan McLaughlin: Prince F it.
[32:06] Amber Brzezinski: Yes.
[32:06] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm seeing that. I've heard that's amazing. I'm not sure.
[32:09] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, a lot of and they're having what 99 set rush tickets or something insane.
[32:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, it's something like that. I mean, I didn't get my ticket for that much, but uh I got mine for a little bit more. But honestly, yes, I'm seeing that. I'm super super excited. Um, I heard amazing things about it. So I'm going with my other best friend Joey. Hi. Um so we're gonna go see that. And then what else is on my radar? I think like I definitely want to see Operation Mince Mean. I haven't had a chance to get that to that yet.
[32:34] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, y'all love it.
[32:37] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm sure I will. What else am I looking for? Oh, I haven't seen the outsiders.
[32:43] Amber Brzezinski: I know.
[32:44] Brendan McLaughlin: I am I see that okay, but I was not on the outsider's bandwagon, and Amber can attest to this because every time she's like, Well, what other shows do you need to see? Because I always have a list. And I was like, okay, I've got to do this, this is like not the outsiders. I was like, no, I just don't want to jump on that bandwagon.
[33:00] Amber Brzezinski: And then a couple of months ago, where was it a couple months ago? I remember it had to have been. Yeah. Um, I went up and like literally was I was at the um the W or was I? No, I was at the weird hotel that shall not be named because that was a scary hotel. Um we will not stay there anymore. But um, I was across the street from it and like on Tick Pick, there was like when I say last minute, like 20 minutes to show for like 75 bucks.
[33:31] Brendan McLaughlin: That's not bad.
[33:31] Amber Brzezinski: And it was incredible. It was incredible. Yeah. But um I am personally looking forward to The Lost Boys.
[33:41] Brendan McLaughlin: That, oh yes, that the return of Beetlejuice, obviously, because it's just I loved it so much. I'm also really, really looking forward to. I mean, if you couldn't tell, huge, huge, huge Dolly Parton fan. So I'm very excited for that to come.
[33:56] Heather Bedor: How do you feel about their casting process? We've talked about this on the show before, but now I'm curious.
[34:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Interesting. And for those of you that don't know, Brenda, do you want to give like a breakdown or a snippet?
[34:07] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, of course. So they put out this search for the next dolly, and it was on every social media platform, but primarily TikTok. And they had all these lovely contenders that put up an audition song as to be considered as the next dolly. And they were told some of them were told that they were gonna, you know, be seen and go through, you know, another round of auditions in person and yada yada yah. And then when the cast list was released, uh what was it like two people made it, or one of the girls is like in understudy, which is still amazing. An understudy, but she was like in the I don't remember the whole thing, but it along the lines of that, yeah.
[34:52] Amber Brzezinski: Very interesting. Because a lot of people thought it was just a marketing thing. But then if you think about it, if you go back to Legally Blonde, they did the search of the next El Woods. Um went right? Like that was.
[35:05] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, because MTV produced it, and then the MTV did like one of the very first pro shots in existence for Legally Blonde. But I'm like, this is not anything new, and look. And look, it takes a lot for people to get into New York to get to the Broadway stage to even get into an audition to be equity to the non-equity stuff. I personally am okay with it. One, yes, it's great marketing. We did it for Heathers too. But two, you're finding talent that hasn't even been tapped into.
[35:33] Amber Brzezinski: Right. So Amber, what questions do you have for our fabulous guest?
[35:38] Amber Brzezinski: Well, I just wanted to say that like I personally am excited for rag time, obviously.
[35:42] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes.
[35:43] Amber Brzezinski: Um, and then I also like I don't know if this makes me like a trash person to say, but like I am like kind of like weirdly excited because like I love a good train wreck, and I I like weirdly loved this documentary. Like I I want to see Queen of Versailles.
[36:07] Brendan McLaughlin: I wanna I do too.
[36:10] Amber Brzezinski: But I lived it like it's an Orlando thing. I saw that the documentary when it premiered when they were there at the theater, like the documentary was like so absurd.
[36:27] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, she's like, oh my god, we have to feed the pets, like the lizard is dead, like uh like it's ridiculous, yeah.
[36:39] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, I definitely want to see it though. I I want to see it, and yeah, Chris and Jennifer, obviously. I mean, the sweetest human being on the face of the planet. I just wish that we could have had Kristen and Adina at the same time.
[36:54] Brendan McLaughlin: I know, I know, yeah.
[36:57] Amber Brzezinski: But and then one more. Oh my god, compared to you, Brendan, she must be like up to your knee.
[37:02] Brendan McLaughlin: She is. If you go on my Instagram, I have a photo with her. Um, fun fact about a year ago, I made my Broadway debut. I got to sing with her in the runabout theater gala or gala, however you say it. I'm not cultured enough to know.
[37:15] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, and yeah, I got to sing with her, and she was just picture.
[37:21] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, I was here.
[37:24] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah. Go ahead, sing.
[37:26] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm skipping. Nothing.
[37:30] Brendan McLaughlin: Not in these pipes.
[37:33] Amber Brzezinski: Um, let's talk about something else that I personally am obsessed with, and I think you might be as well. And Amber knows where this is going.
[37:40] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, I know this is going.
[37:42] Amber Brzezinski: Masquerade. Have are you getting tickets? What are you doing? What's happening here?
[37:52] Brendan McLaughlin: Okay. So keep your composure. Okay, yes. So, yes, I'm super pumped, diehard Phantom fan. Um, I did not buy tickets the first round, they went out, and I just kind of said, you know what? Like, I'm sure this is not gonna be the first like run of tickets. I'm sure there's gonna be a second round of tickets. So I said, let me just kind of hold observe, observe, yes, even though I built all this, you know, like hype on my social channels because I am genuinely very excited because like I live for Phantom, but I was just like, eh, and then like also too. Like, I was just like, Yeah, like, you know, I don't want to buy like, you know, two tickets and then get stuck with the other one because a lot of people say, Oh, yeah, I'm gonna commit to this, and then they find out it's like 200, and they're like, so I'm like, let me just hold off until maybe like I could find someone who like really really wants to go with me, and then we'll just throw my card down, worry about the next one.
[38:56] Amber Brzezinski: You should have just texted me. Uh, because not only do I run the largest fan of the opera fan club online, uh but we also have the only masquerade group, which has grown exponentially, Amber. In the last week, we've gained like another 2,000 members.
[39:12] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah. Um, but yes, I sat there and um between there's like three different states we're all attending at the same time. Um, but yeah, so July 9th, so in two days, they are releasing the next block and it is going through October. I have a feeling they're gonna do block by block until yeah, they can get it through.
[39:31] Amber Brzezinski: But do you think it's gonna be like sleep no more?
[39:35] Brendan McLaughlin: I know that when I talked to the box office, they said that when you go in at the certain 15 minute time frame, there was like you're led into the the like it said it was guided, wasn't it?
[39:46] Amber Brzezinski: Isn't it okay? So people are stating it's guided, but people are also saying it's gonna be sandbox style, which is possible you can have it different because even with sleep no more, you did have a guided entrance where you went in and you had the like operator or host, and they brought you if you've never done sleep anymore, um, you were brought into an elevator that like by a small group, and they would literally like if you were holding hands with your significant other, like I watch this and it's the funniest thing, and they're like all cute and cozy, and they're like, Okay, third floor, and then they literally like have one person and they put their arm across so that their significant other can't go with them.
Oh, it's intended to explore alone, but they would guide you through that because then there's also the whole sandbox, like where it's open world, those gamers out there, because there's also saying that there are gonna be butlers, like masked assistants, just in case you quote get lost, but it'll be really interesting.
[40:44] Amber Brzezinski: August 6th is the date that I'm going.
[40:46] Heather Bedor: I am freaking thrilled, uh, because that is in less than a month, and I'm wearing my ball gown because I'm crazy.
[40:55] Amber Brzezinski: I love it.
[40:55] Heather Bedor: Um yes, but I'm really excited.
[40:58] Amber Brzezinski: Um, for sure.
[41:00] Heather Bedor: But Amber, I know you've got some questions locked and loaded because I've been talking everyone's ears off.
[41:05] Amber Brzezinski: I am gonna leave and open the floor to you.
[41:09] Heather Bedor: Um, I mean, you really like stomach thunder with like the Broadway show this season and like question.
[41:18] Amber Brzezinski: Sorry, sorry.
[41:20] Heather Bedor: Um at once.
[41:27] Amber Brzezinski: Do you need me to give a filler question? Because I will.
[41:31] Heather Bedor: I should have been caffeinated. Honestly, what I really wanted to talk about. Do you want to know what I really want to talk about?
[41:38] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, go for it.
[41:40] Heather Bedor: Yes, you know what I'm really upset about.
[41:44] Amber Brzezinski: Like what?
[41:45] Heather Bedor: I know you know that they're not doing Chorus Line.
[41:49] Amber Brzezinski: No, oh, you marcify one that was supposed to happen.
[41:53] Heather Bedor: Yes, I don't know. Amber, what that Tom Francis played his final show at Boulevard.
[42:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh my weeping heart.
[42:06] Heather Bedor: My weeping heart. My heart should be focused on being the Soda Scout.
[42:13] Amber Brzezinski: That's true.
[42:15] Brendan McLaughlin: Have you looked at one position? Let's crack it open.
[42:19] Heather Bedor: Oh, yes. I think I was delivered the video of my TikTok for you, Pai. Um, like maybe after two videos he put out, and I was like, what is happening? But also have either one of you watched You on Netflix?
[42:33] Amber Brzezinski: No.
[42:34] Brendan McLaughlin: I've not.
[42:35] Heather Bedor: It's literally Tom Francis in almost every episode.
[42:38] Amber Brzezinski: I know.
[42:40] Brendan McLaughlin: I have to catch up with the season.
[42:42] Heather Bedor: I didn't watch the season before this, so I haven't. You know what I mean? Like, I'm like a season just do it.
[42:46] Amber Brzezinski: Just do it.
[42:49] Brendan McLaughlin: Um how many times can Joe do the thing?
[42:53] Heather Bedor: Like, I don't, I'm over.
[42:54] Amber Brzezinski: No, this last episode is a series finale.
[42:57] Brendan McLaughlin: Ooh, it's last season's cool.
[42:59] Amber Brzezinski: I'm just over.
[42:59] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm over Joe.
[43:01] Heather Bedor: No.
[43:02] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, we're all.
[43:03] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, well, you know, you bring up a good point. Do we have some Broadway news we could talk about?
[43:07] Heather Bedor: We do have some Broadway news.
[43:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, um, you know, Tom Francis played his final show as um Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard, which is that we're Norma doesn't surprise Norma doesn't.
[43:20] Amber Brzezinski: I would love to see a miscast as him as Norma.
[43:24] Brendan McLaughlin: That would be so good.
[43:26] Amber Brzezinski: I would die.
[43:26] Heather Bedor: Um, Grace Hodgett Young um is will also be playing her final performance um July 13th.
[43:34] Brendan McLaughlin: So, like Nicole Shirzy holding out like the final of the four of that quad, you know.
[43:44] Amber Brzezinski: I mean, we can't have some out of the final round that's without Shirzy.
[43:48] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, so like oh my gosh, it's it's like it just feels like they're all falling off.
[43:54] Heather Bedor: Like Pember is a huge Sunset fan, and we have a yet to be released video of her doing the walk.
[44:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh I I have I have done the walk.
[44:06] Heather Bedor: Um yeah, so that's pretty that's pretty intense news about Sunset Boulevard.
[44:12] Brendan McLaughlin: I the end is coming near.
[44:14] Heather Bedor: The end is coming near end is nigh.
[44:16] Brendan McLaughlin: End is nigh.
[44:17] Heather Bedor: I'm very smart. I'm very sad, but I'm happy that it made such a mark on Broadway.
[44:24] Brendan McLaughlin: Like I'm happy it made a mark.
[44:25] Heather Bedor: I mean, it was never meant to be a full run, it was meant to be a limited show.
[44:29] Amber Brzezinski: People forget that because then well, once that show clears, then it turns into Queen of Versailles, which is also technically a limited run.
[44:39] Brendan McLaughlin: Because people are stating this is the rumor, is that Jamie Lloyd is renovating that theater, so that's why they're building that beautiful balcony for Queen of Versailles over the St. James, but they're now talking that Jamie Lloyd is actually funding it because that's when Evita's gonna come over from the West End.
[44:57] Heather Bedor: Right.
[44:58] Brendan McLaughlin: It's interesting.
[45:00] Amber Brzezinski: Would love to see it.
[45:01] Heather Bedor: We're love to see a Rachel Zegler moment.
[45:03] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[45:04] Amber Brzezinski: Well, we we saw the Rachel Zegler moment in Romeo and Juliet.
[45:07] Brendan McLaughlin: I know you didn't see Romeo and Juliet.
[45:10] Amber Brzezinski: No, I missed it.
[45:11] Brendan McLaughlin: It was so cool.
[45:12] Amber Brzezinski: It was so cool.
[45:13] Brendan McLaughlin: I know it was crazy.
[45:15] Heather Bedor: And Amber and I always talk about like how smart their marketing was, like their merch marketing.
[45:20] Amber Brzezinski: They had the crane machine to put it a logo teddy bear, like that went to charity, and then our favorite thing, which I think more theaters need to do, is a freaking logoed reusable stainless steel water bottle, and it was like eight bucks.
[45:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes, please.
[45:35] Amber Brzezinski: So smart.
[45:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, so smart.
[45:36] Heather Bedor: Do you have any favorite merch that you've gotten? Either like gratis or maybe what?
[45:41] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh yes, I do. Unfortunately, they're not with me, they're up in my room.
[45:45] Amber Brzezinski: Maybe we'll do a room tour one day.
[45:47] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, please still my laundry.
[45:50] Brendan McLaughlin: Um yeah, so I would say off the top of my head, the compact mirrors from Death Becomes Her and Sunset Boulevard.
[46:01] Heather Bedor: I have both of them.
[46:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Do I need two mirrors? No, I don't because one's enough.
[46:06] Amber Brzezinski: But they're campy, they're iconic.
[46:09] Brendan McLaughlin: They sang to my soul and my wallet. So I have both of them.
[46:12] Heather Bedor: Um the Sunset one says I'm ready for my close-up, which works.
[46:16] Brendan McLaughlin: And then the Death Becomes Her one says um wrinkle wrinkle little scar.
[46:20] Amber Brzezinski: And I'm like, oh so I have those.
[46:23] Brendan McLaughlin: And then I have speaking of um Something Like It Hot, I bought the flask.
[46:28] Amber Brzezinski: No, I've never owned a flask in my life, but I thought it was so like genius and like weird to buy at a Broadway show.
[46:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Like when I think flask, I think Spencer's gifts.
[46:38] Amber Brzezinski: Okay.
[46:38] Brendan McLaughlin: So things remembered.
[46:42] Amber Brzezinski: That too.
[46:42] Brendan McLaughlin: So you know, Gramps wants an old bottle of scratch on his, you know, here's flask, you know.
[46:47] Amber Brzezinski: That's our stupid back in the day.
[46:49] Brendan McLaughlin: But so I was like, oh, like I kind of feel weird buying a flask.
[46:52] Amber Brzezinski: I've never used it, but she sits proudly on my dresser, so then maybe I could feel like Catherine Zeta Jones in Chicago, you know.
[46:58] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, oh, that's my sister Veronica.
[47:00] Amber Brzezinski: That's I'm the Lush that uh box glasses from uh just in time.
[47:07] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh I want the matchbooks, I want the matchbooks so bad.
[47:12] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, all right.
[47:14] Brendan McLaughlin: What else, Brendan?
[47:15] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, I also because I've been much better. So when I first used to see Broadway shows, since that was like almost like a vacation, like you know, the rich kids would go to like Aruba every February, you know, and they come back with a sunburn in the middle of winter.
[47:27] Amber Brzezinski: And like the weird grade, yeah.
[47:29] Brendan McLaughlin: Exactly.
[47:30] Brendan McLaughlin: And they're like, oh, I cut it off and I saved it. I'm like, go off, girl, whatever.
[47:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, so I used to save up my money for like birthdays and stuff like that for Broadway shows.
[47:40] Brendan McLaughlin: So I used to always buy a program, a poster, a t-shirt, and whatever the fun item was.
[47:46] Amber Brzezinski: And this is, you know, back in the 1920s when things were a little bit cheaper to buy, so you could kind of swing it a little bit more.
[47:52] Brendan McLaughlin: Uh then as I got older, started running out of room and said, okay, we really gotta be strategic, Diva. What do we want or what do we not need?
[48:00] Amber Brzezinski: So I've been pretty good so far, but one of the most recent items I purchased was the Pudgy stuffed animal from it.
[48:08] Brendan McLaughlin: It's literally right here. I could not resist.
[48:10] Amber Brzezinski: Do I have a real dog? Yes. Is she my pride and joy? My baby. Yes, Savannah is.
[48:15] Brendan McLaughlin: I was stand in front of a train for her.
[48:17] Amber Brzezinski: Um, but I don't know, Pudgy. I was just like, I need him.
[48:22] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes, and he's posable too.
[48:24] Amber Brzezinski: Um, but I also I'm the weirdo, and I'm totally okay with it.
[48:28] Brendan McLaughlin: I got um, oh my god, the Demogorgon uh plus random things.
[48:34] Amber Brzezinski: I almost didn't.
[48:35] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, Brendan, you stop it.
[48:38] Amber Brzezinski: No, I needed it.
[48:39] Brendan McLaughlin: I needed it. It's just so I gotta tell you, like every day I get closer to closer and closer to needing like a like a waboon.
[48:46] Amber Brzezinski: Oh I might have a waboon that was gifted to me.
[48:51] Brendan McLaughlin: But like every day, like I need one, like either in like Lego form and like I will say amber form, like I need like a waboon.
[48:58] Amber Brzezinski: I will say that Larry, uh, you know, good old good old Larry Ariota did did leave you some items in my bag of holding.
[49:07] Brendan McLaughlin: So next time I see you.
[49:08] Amber Brzezinski: Well, thanks.
[49:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Thanks, Delaire. Appreciate you.
[49:11] Amber Brzezinski: Yes, he is right now in London. He just uh he's doing the Evita thing right now and not feeling it, so feel better, buddy.
[49:18] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, but yeah, um one of my new favorite items, Amber goes when I when I went to see Joy with Brendan, um that faithful day.
[49:28] Amber Brzezinski: She goes, Okay, but like, did you enjoy it?
[49:30] Brendan McLaughlin: Okay, great, but did you get a mop?
[49:32] Amber Brzezinski: And I was like, funny story about that.
[49:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, I did get a mop.
[49:37] Amber Brzezinski: She's like, I freaking knew that you of all people get a mop.
[49:39] Brendan McLaughlin: And I was like, I was like, I should have put money on the fact that you would have gotten a mop.
[49:48] Amber Brzezinski: And I said, but wait, there's a story.
[49:51] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes, there's a story.
[49:53] Brendan McLaughlin: So Larry and I were sitting behind you and your friend.
[49:56] Amber Brzezinski: Yes, and we had been told ahead of time when there's a scene, you'll know the scene, we're just like make a lot of noise and go crazy to go get a mop.
[50:06] Brendan McLaughlin: And I was like, okay.
[50:07] Amber Brzezinski: So like we're ready for it, we're timing it, you know, blah, blah, blah.
[50:11] Brendan McLaughlin: And we're like, yeah.
[50:15] Amber Brzezinski: Literally handed Brendan the last one, and I was like, Brendan, I tried so hard for a mop.
[50:22] Brendan McLaughlin: And he was like, here you go.
[50:23] Amber Brzezinski: And I was like, no, you keep it. I don't even know how I'm gonna get it home on the plane.
[50:28] Brendan McLaughlin: And I gave it to her.
[50:29] Amber Brzezinski: I was like, yeah, you can have it.
[50:31] Brendan McLaughlin: And I called him Mop Daddy, and since then he's stuck with me.
[50:35] Amber Brzezinski: Um the rest of his the legend of Mop Daddy.
[50:39] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, let me tell you, there somebody posted a TikTok about like getting this mop on a plane.
[50:47] Amber Brzezinski: It is not true.
[50:48] Brendan McLaughlin: It was not an easy feat.
[50:50] Amber Brzezinski: I literally had to use it like a crutch.
[50:53] Brendan McLaughlin: But you got it home.
[50:54] Amber Brzezinski: I got it home.
[50:55] Brendan McLaughlin: It's sitting in the next room.
[50:57] Amber Brzezinski: I was gonna ask you though when we were to that texting the other day.
[51:00] Brendan McLaughlin: I was like, wait, I never asked her about the mop.
[51:05] Amber Brzezinski: Can I go get it?
[51:06] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm gonna go get it.
[51:07] Amber Brzezinski: You guys stay here for a second.
[51:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Okay, all right.
[51:10] Amber Brzezinski: Talk amongst yourselves.
[51:11] Brendan McLaughlin: Talk amongst yourselves.
[51:13] Amber Brzezinski: What Marys have you seen?
[51:16] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh so my first Mary I ever saw was Hannah Salo or Solo.
[51:24] Amber Brzezinski: I feel so bad, Hannah.
[51:25] Brendan McLaughlin: I love you. I never know how to pronounce last names.
[51:28] Amber Brzezinski: Um was my first one, and she put me on the Oh Mary train and changed my life.
[51:35] Brendan McLaughlin: And then after that, I've seen Cole every other time.
[51:37] Amber Brzezinski: Okay, amazing.
[51:39] Brendan McLaughlin: Amazing.
[51:39] Amber Brzezinski: Are you gonna try to see Titus and or Jinx?
[51:43] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm gonna try to see both because I do love Titus and I do love Jinx.
[51:46] Brendan McLaughlin: Jinx, I've been rooting around since the early days, and I did get to see Jinx in Little Shop of Horrors, and I did get to see Jinx in uh Pirates of Penzance.
[51:55] Amber Brzezinski: So um I'm hoping I get to see Jinx as Mary because I know Jinx is gonna do an amazing job.
[52:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Plus, Jinx's fragrance is phenomenal, not sponsored, but if you ever look into Hera by OSM Perfumes, yes, worth the investment, smells so good.
[52:11] Amber Brzezinski: Every time I wear it, everyone asks me, What are you wearing?
[52:14] Brendan McLaughlin: And I'm like, it's Para by Jinx Monsoon and OSM.
[52:18] Amber Brzezinski: Love it.
[52:19] Brendan McLaughlin: You're just supposed to say this is what I naturally smell like.
[52:22] Amber Brzezinski: Exactly.
[52:23] Brendan McLaughlin: Like a mythical, you know, God and fairy, you know.
[52:26] Amber Brzezinski: It's like it seriously smells so freaking good.
[52:30] Brendan McLaughlin: I've seen Cole.
[52:31] Amber Brzezinski: They were amazing.
[52:32] Brendan McLaughlin: They like now you're obsessed about show.
[52:35] Amber Brzezinski: I love Cole.
[52:35] Brendan McLaughlin: I love Cole, I just love Cole.
[52:38] Amber Brzezinski: You too.
[52:38] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm just gonna sit here with my mop.
[52:40] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, your mop.
[52:41] Brendan McLaughlin: Sorry, I'm like zoning.
[52:42] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, so focus on our O'Mary conversation.
[52:45] Amber Brzezinski: No, I love it.
[52:46] Brendan McLaughlin: Focus on it.
[52:47] Brendan McLaughlin: But no, the funnier part is Brendan. Do you remember what you said to me when you gave me the mop?
[52:52] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, yeah.
[52:52] Amber Brzezinski: I was like, I just literally bought a Swiffer.
[52:55] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[52:58] Amber Brzezinski: Whoops.
[52:59] Brendan McLaughlin: I was like, yeah, I was like, I really don't need one.
[53:01] Amber Brzezinski: I literally just replaced my swift.
[53:03] Brendan McLaughlin: I thought it was the funniest thing ever.
[53:04] Amber Brzezinski: I was like, you think I'm gonna use the mop?
[53:08] Brendan McLaughlin: But it has a sticker and it says, I saw a joy, and all I got was this mop.
[53:13] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, that's so cute.
[53:14] Brendan McLaughlin: But guys, I want you to see.
[53:15] Brendan McLaughlin: Okay, ready?
[53:16] Brendan McLaughlin: So you see it's next to my head.
[53:18] Brendan McLaughlin: This is how big it is.
[53:19] Brendan McLaughlin: And this is as small as it goes.
[53:22] Brendan McLaughlin: Hold on.
[53:23] Brendan McLaughlin: It's off camera.
[53:24] Brendan McLaughlin: This is as small as it goes, okay?
[53:27] Brendan McLaughlin: It's like Mary Poppins.
[53:28] Amber Brzezinski: It's like Mary Poppins.
[53:30] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm letting you know right now.
[53:32] Brendan McLaughlin: My elbow is fully extended.
[53:33] Brendan McLaughlin: I am touching my high ceilings.
[53:36] Amber Brzezinski: I love it.
[53:37] Brendan McLaughlin: And I had to get this home.
[53:40] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[53:41] Brendan McLaughlin: And it's not easy, like the girl on TikTok showed that it was easy.
[53:44] Amber Brzezinski: Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[53:46] Brendan McLaughlin: It nope.
[53:47] Amber Brzezinski: They wanted me to check it.
[53:48] Brendan McLaughlin: I was like, that will break.
[53:50] Amber Brzezinski: I will carry it.
[53:52] Brendan McLaughlin: But it's here.
[53:53] Amber Brzezinski: I'm so happy.
[53:54] Brendan McLaughlin: And I will always think of the mop daddy.
[53:57] Amber Brzezinski: Operation Mop success.
[54:00] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah.
[54:01] Amber Brzezinski: Exactly.
[54:02] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh yeah, I felt so bad, and I was like, you know what? Like, what am I gonna do with a mop?
[54:06] Amber Brzezinski: Like, I mean, yes, yeah, that was silly.
[54:09] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, you know, I got the stickers, I got the pins, I got the fun bracelet.
[54:13] Amber Brzezinski: I wish I wore my bracelet for this.
[54:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh yeah.
[54:16] Brendan McLaughlin: I got that. I got the ice cream, which was so freaking good.
[54:20] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh, you got the soap?
[54:22] Brendan McLaughlin: You took the soap and uh no, sorry, no, I mean the ice cream.
[54:25] Brendan McLaughlin: No, I didn't take the soap, no.
[54:27] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh.
[54:28] Brendan McLaughlin: Because they also had all of Joy's other products at like the influencer event.
[54:35] Brendan McLaughlin: So they had like her laundry detergent, the like mop flooring floor stuff.
[54:40] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, there was like laundry sheets and stuff, like dryer sheets.
[54:45] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[54:46] Brendan McLaughlin: Different.
[54:46] Brendan McLaughlin: And then you got to meet with uh Betsy Wolf.
[54:49] Amber Brzezinski: Oh should have.
[54:51] Brendan McLaughlin: A dream.
[54:53] Brendan McLaughlin: She is, and I've like I've never seen so I've never seen her like on Broadway or just on a stage until that evening.
[55:00] Amber Brzezinski: I know.
[55:01] Amber Brzezinski: Throw tomatoes at me.
[55:02] Amber Brzezinski: I know, yes.
[55:03] Brendan McLaughlin: I've never seen her on like live before.
[55:05] Brendan McLaughlin: And I've always admired her work, always loved her.
[55:08] Brendan McLaughlin: And so I don't know if you knew ahead of time, but I did not know she was showing up.
[55:14] Brendan McLaughlin: I thought, like, oh, like it's too close before the show.
[55:16] Brendan McLaughlin: Like no, I knew she was coming.
[55:19] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, I had to, because we're the official fan group.
[55:22] Amber Brzezinski: Like, we're partnered with the show, which I love also, by the way.
[55:26] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, but I literally walked in and I was like, hey, so cast coming, and meaning cast, like Betsy, and they're like, um, maybe we'll know in a little bit.
[55:35] Brendan McLaughlin: I was like, okay, so I'll see Betsy in a few minutes.
[55:38] Brendan McLaughlin: Pretty much I was shook.
[55:40] Brendan McLaughlin: I was like, I just like turn around.
[55:41] Brendan McLaughlin: I think I was talking to you or I was talking to my friend Megan or something.
[55:44] Brendan McLaughlin: And I look at them like Oh, oh, oh my gosh.
[55:49] Brendan McLaughlin: And then of course everyone ran over because I mean, like, why wouldn't you?
[55:52] Brendan McLaughlin: Because Betsy's got a lot of people.
[55:53] Brendan McLaughlin: I I think at that point I was still trying to source us food because the food, like it was busy.
[55:58] Brendan McLaughlin: There were a lot of influencers in there, but there were like plates of sliders and like some sort of salmon cucumber thing and pizza, and everyone's like, How do we get the food?
[56:07] Brendan McLaughlin: And I was like, I will everyone just stay.
[56:09] Brendan McLaughlin: We had our own little base, like our home base.
[56:11] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, and I just can't read.
[56:13] Brendan McLaughlin: Mama brought it all home.
[56:15] Brendan McLaughlin: It was great.
[56:17] Brendan McLaughlin: I mean, because usually when I go to like events or I go to like weddings or birthdays or something, like I don't eat often because I'm always like so excited about everything going around.
[56:26] Brendan McLaughlin: And then the event or whatever, the birthday or whatever starts ending, and I'm like, Oh, I think I'm hungry.
[56:34] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, oops, I guess I'm stopping a taco ball.
[56:36] Brendan McLaughlin: We were like the front row, front room of Gadsby's Landing.
[56:40] Brendan McLaughlin: Cast Beats has great food, but it was so hot.
[56:43] Brendan McLaughlin: And we're all kind of shoved in there.
[56:45] Brendan McLaughlin: And um, yeah, it was just it was a it was a thing for sure, but we had a good time.
[56:51] Amber Brzezinski: Um, you know, and we didn't talk about one specific show, but there is some news about Amber, and I'm kind of curious, Brennan, how you feel about this too.
[56:59] Brendan McLaughlin: Gypsy.
[57:00] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, Gypsy.
[57:01] Brendan McLaughlin: That was next on my list.
[57:02] Amber Brzezinski: That was next on my list.
[57:05] Brendan McLaughlin: All right, I let's talk about Gypsy for a minute because he said mama and it brought me back into the Broadway news part of us.
[57:11] Amber Brzezinski: Definitely, yeah.
[57:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Montego Glover, she stepped in for Audra while she was on vacation last week, and now she is here to stay.
[57:21] Brendan McLaughlin: She is going to continue to play uh Mama Rose on Sunday matinees starting on July 20th, continuing out through the month of August, which I think is really cool because I think that'll give her really a chance to like grow within the role.
[57:38] Brendan McLaughlin: Like I heard from what I heard, like she already did so much within this week.
[57:43] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, like I'm just excited to see like where she can take it, like getting a chance to like really get to go somewhere with it.
[57:50] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, absolutely.
[57:51] Amber Brzezinski: I was there, I was there for her Tuesday night show.
[57:53] Amber Brzezinski: Um thanks to my friend Lauren.
[57:55] Amber Brzezinski: Hi, Lauren.
[57:56] Amber Brzezinski: Uh, she was like, Hey, you want to go see Gypsy?
[57:58] Amber Brzezinski: I was like, Yeah, so she's like, Okay, great meeting outside the Majestic at like before seven.
[58:02] Amber Brzezinski: So I was like, Okay, so I'm like running from the island.
[58:04] Amber Brzezinski: I'm like, Well, not really on the train.
[58:05] Amber Brzezinski: I'm like, come on, got a train to catch, damn it.
[58:08] Amber Brzezinski: Uh, and I saw Montigo because I saw Montego in Memphis like a hundred years ago.
[58:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Nice, okay, and my dad has this amazing story that I like to tell everyone because it's like his Broadway moment.
[58:22] Brendan McLaughlin: So, like I was saying, instead of going vacations and stuff, as we got older, we would just go to Broadway shows and like tickets were cheaper, so you could like sit like you know, in a really great seat for a good price.
[58:32] Brendan McLaughlin: So we ended up getting tickets in the front row of Memphis.
[58:35] Brendan McLaughlin: This was, I think I was in college or something, and it was like the final weeks with Adam Pascal was in it and all that fun stuff.
[58:42] Brendan McLaughlin: And right, and my dad will never stop talking about this moment.
[58:46] Brendan McLaughlin: He says, During curtain call, he says, you know, the the believe girl, who's a lead girl?
[58:50] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, Montigo glover.
[58:51] Brendan McLaughlin: He says, Yeah, he says, I made her break the fourth wall.
[58:54] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, Tell us a story.
[58:55] Brendan McLaughlin: He says, She was bowing, and he says, I was right there, center stage, and she looked down at me and I said, You are amazing.
[59:02] Brendan McLaughlin: And she grabbed my hand and she said, Thank you.
[59:04] Brendan McLaughlin: And he says, No one's ever broke the fourth wall like I did on Broadway.
[59:10] Amber Brzezinski: Love it, and that's like his like his little thing, and I love it so much.
[59:13] Amber Brzezinski: I love telling people that.
[59:15] Brendan McLaughlin: But uh, yeah, I've always loved Montego, and when I tell you, just oh my gosh, her performance is rose, like nothing against Audra.
[59:25] Brendan McLaughlin: We love Mama Audra, but Mama Montego, yeah.
[59:30] Brendan McLaughlin: Oh my god, that tells me.
[59:34] Brendan McLaughlin: Groeling role.
[59:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, and like I'm imagining Audrey doing this, she's getting burnt out, just like Megan Hilti got.
[59:41] Brendan McLaughlin: Megan's finally coming back, she'll definitely come to report.
[59:43] Amber Brzezinski: I was like, that was gonna be my next bit of news.
[59:46] Amber Brzezinski: Don't say I didn't warn you.
[59:48] Brendan McLaughlin: But it's like every so there's been like a uh a rise of people online being like, Don't get pissed off if your favorite person isn't there, go see the show, not the specific actor.
[1:00:01] Brendan McLaughlin: You know, there's never a guarantee.
[1:00:03] Brendan McLaughlin: We had another member of ours reach out today and very kindly said, like, um, you know, do you think this person's gonna be performing on this date several months down the road?
[1:00:11] Brendan McLaughlin: And I'm like, I have no idea, but you always want to go.
[1:00:14] Brendan McLaughlin: Well, I I would hate to fly across the country, um, and not have them there.
[1:00:19] Brendan McLaughlin: Although understudies are great, and I was like, I totally get it.
[1:00:22] Brendan McLaughlin: So I got hiccups.
[1:00:23] Brendan McLaughlin: But also, like, there's literally never a guarantee.
[1:00:26] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, I went to go see Sweeney Todd when Sutton was in it, and Sutton called out sick 15 minutes before the curtains went up, and I was upset, but I went back the next day and she was there.
[1:00:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, so you know, these are grueling roles, and these are 10 shows uh shows a week, uh, plus PR stuff, plus social media stuff now, you know.
[1:00:46] Amber Brzezinski: Be nice to people.
[1:00:48] Brendan McLaughlin: Definitely, I've seen so many incredible artists on stage in just so many different roles.
[1:00:54] Brendan McLaughlin: Like I was telling uh Amber my first time seeing O'Mary, which now I've seen it four times because obsessed.
[1:01:00] Brendan McLaughlin: Um Hannah was my first Mary, and I had the entire OBC except for Cole.
[1:01:05] Brendan McLaughlin: It was Hannah, and I've become friends with her now because I was, you know, I know it's a controversial topic, but like you know, it was like a picture starting curtain call, and I was like, this is like her second time ever performing on Broadway in this role because Cole's been in it every single time, and I'm like, Yeah, I know if I was there, I would want someone or something to like for memories, like photos or whatever.
[1:01:28] Brendan McLaughlin: So I ended up like taking it upon myself to DM her after the show, and I was like, hey, look, I just saw you as Mary Todd Lincoln.
[1:01:35] Brendan McLaughlin: I've never laughed harder in my entire freaking life, except for the 90 minutes or so that we were in O'Mary.
[1:01:41] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, um, you know, contrary to popular belief or people on the fence, I said, I took some pictures during curtain call.
[1:01:46] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, I want you to have them whether you use them or not.
[1:01:49] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, because I feel like a proud grandmother.
[1:01:52] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, I was watching you shine, and I said, You really made my night.
[1:01:55] Brendan McLaughlin: And ever since we've been really good and we chit-chat, I finally got to meet her in person.
[1:01:59] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, the last time I saw O'Mary, which was for Cole's final performance, which if between us, I well, or between all our friends here in this uh podcast.
[1:02:08] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, I don't think that was their last time because I fell for that the first time, and then I was there when they came back, and then I was there for their final performance.
[1:02:17] Amber Brzezinski: But hey.
[1:02:18] Amber Brzezinski: Amber did that too.
[1:02:18] Brendan McLaughlin: Amber was like, I'm buying tickets closer to the Tony's time because I know Cole is definitely gonna have to come back.
[1:02:24] Amber Brzezinski: Definitely.
[1:02:24] Amber Brzezinski: And so I'll probably be there again when Cole comes back, even though Cole said they wouldn't come back.
[1:02:29] Brendan McLaughlin: And uh but yeah, no, so I did that for Hannah, and Hannah is just such a sweet baby.
[1:02:35] Brendan McLaughlin: Love Hannah.
[1:02:36] Brendan McLaughlin: And you know what?
[1:02:37] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, shout out to Hannah for making like the best content on the internet right now.
[1:02:42] Amber Brzezinski: Oh my god.
[1:02:43] Brendan McLaughlin: Like the funniest person on internet over the soda scout, really?
[1:02:47] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, 100%.
[1:02:49] Brendan McLaughlin: So yes, uh Hannah made the we could go see boop viral video.
[1:02:54] Brendan McLaughlin: We could see boop.
[1:02:55] Brendan McLaughlin: We could now you can't go see boop after closes.
[1:02:58] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[1:02:59] Brendan McLaughlin: So everybody go see boop.
[1:03:01] Brendan McLaughlin: Um, Hannah did the don't rank Cuomo video, which was hilarious.
[1:03:06] Brendan McLaughlin: Yeah, Hannah did the um the bird flu one.
[1:03:10] Brendan McLaughlin: The bird flu, typically uh the Timothy Chalabet Dune, dune, dune, dune, uh dune.
[1:03:18] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, Hannah is the funniest.
[1:03:20] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, if you just want to like laugh, follow Hannah.
[1:03:23] Brendan McLaughlin: Like, just she's so good.
[1:03:26] Brendan McLaughlin: She's one of the kind.
[1:03:27] Brendan McLaughlin: And she's one of the kinds of hashtag not.
[1:03:32] Brendan McLaughlin: She really is love her.
[1:03:34] Amber Brzezinski: Oh gosh.
[1:03:35] Amber Brzezinski: She is just a sweet baby angel.
[1:03:37] Brendan McLaughlin: And uh, I'm supposed to be getting lunch with her soon.
[1:03:39] Amber Brzezinski: So uh very nice.
[1:03:41] Amber Brzezinski: Are you also supposed to be getting lunch with me soon?
[1:03:44] Brendan McLaughlin: Yes, there's that.
[1:03:46] Brendan McLaughlin: Um just kidding.
[1:03:48] Brendan McLaughlin: God, how rude.
[1:03:50] Amber Brzezinski: Um that was rude.
[1:03:53] Brendan McLaughlin: That was so anyways.
[1:03:55] Brendan McLaughlin: Um you are such a delight.
[1:03:58] Brendan McLaughlin: You really are.

[1:04:53] Brendan McLaughlin: I am also doing like restaurant stuff.
[1:04:56] Brendan McLaughlin: I I basically do it all.
[1:04:58] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm basically like your kooky aunt that you kicked out of the family and brought back for Arbor Day.
[1:05:02] Brendan McLaughlin: That's me.
[1:05:02] Amber Brzezinski: I would anybody kick you out of the family.
[1:05:04] Brendan McLaughlin: That's how rude.
[1:05:05] Brendan McLaughlin: So exactly.
[1:05:06] Brendan McLaughlin: I have a white Zin in hand, you know.
[1:05:07] Brendan McLaughlin: I'm like, I'm ready.
[1:05:09] Brendan McLaughlin: You want to see my pictures from my dinner crews?

[1:06:30] Brendan McLaughlin: I said, Don't worry, there's another photo up inside.
[1:06:32] Brendan McLaughlin: So I took them in the you know, the little uh basement area where the bathrooms are, and they have a giant cutout out.
