[0:19] Heather Bedor: We always have such a dance party.
[0:21] Amber Brzezinski: I love it.
[0:21] Heather Bedor: Hello.
[0:25] Amber Brzezinski: Hi.
[0:26] Heather Bedor: Welcome to the Brendan special.
[0:28] Amber Brzezinski: I mean, we're so happy you guys are finally here.
[0:33] Heather Bedor: We've been seeing the one with J Lane, and that was great.
[0:36] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, just the most adorable little thing.
[0:39] Heather Bedor: I think everybody that we've come across for the cast crew, creative, there's not one person we're like, man, they kind of suck.
[0:46] Amber Brzezinski: Everybody's really nice.
[0:48] Heather Bedor: Yeah, everybody's great.
[0:50] Amber Brzezinski: It's great.
[0:51] Heather Bedor: So do us a favor for those people that are tuning in who are like, who is the people that are on Scream Slides Heathered Amber?
[0:57] Amber Brzezinski: Shame on you for not going to see drag, but also you guys go ahead and do your own introduction however you'd like.
[1:06] Yair: I play Brendan.
[1:07] Remi: I'm one of the Brendans.
[1:09] Yair: And I'm your ear, and I also play Brendan.
[1:13] Remi: It's the dueling Brendans.
[1:15] Yair: Yes.
[1:15] Remi: But these are brothers.
[1:17] Yair: Not dueling.
[1:18] Remi: Not at all.
[1:20] Yair: Coexisting.
[1:21] Remi: Yes.
[1:22] Heather Bedor: The coexisting Brendans.
[1:25] Amber Brzezinski: And Amber and I have had the pleasure of seeing both of you perform.
[1:28] Yair: Yes.
[1:30] Remi: Yes.
[1:30] Amber Brzezinski: And it's so cool because you guys have your own little unique moments.
[1:34] Yair: Yeah.
[1:34] Remi: That make you guys you, but also like you're very much, it's a very structured show, but you definitely shine.
[1:41] Yair: So it's really cool.
[1:43] Remi: Yeah.
[1:44] Yair: It's really cool to see the different things.
[1:46] Remi: Honestly, I don't even know if it's very structured.
[1:48] Yair: I think it's obviously so like we'll do whatever and we'll see the words.
[1:54] Remi: Yeah.
[1:54] Yair: Were you there listening when Jay Elaine said that we need to call you guys out?
[2:00] Remi: No.
[2:00] Yair: Did she do that?
[2:03] Remi: I had a take on the note.
[2:05] Yair: Hold on, I will read the note.
[2:06] Remi: Um she says to let you guys know that she knows that you really want to riff during Brendan because it's such a pure song, and you guys are both going, okay, there's more, we need to do more, but like just don't.
[2:24] Yair: I think that's exactly how we agree.
[2:26] Remi: Yeah.
[2:27] Yair: Notice more towards the IR because he's the riffer.
[2:29] Remi: On my path, I'm trying to find your because I have to get a surgery after drag.
[2:34] Yair: And I have a lot going on in my life.
[2:36] Remi: I go to in-person school.
[2:37] Yair: I'm really tired all the time.
[2:39] Remi: So I don't know if I'm willing to do more.
[2:42] Yair: Oh, okay.
[2:43] Remi: Love the honesty.
[2:45] Yair: Yeah.
[2:49] Remi: Yeah, after doing a whole dance heavy number ballad.
[2:53] Yair: So you it's a lot.
[2:56] Remi: Well, you can never tell from the audience, though.
[2:59] Yair: No one looks like they're out of breath, and I think that's the most impressive part because you probably are all like, but it's such a fun.
[3:06] Remi: It's a great show, and like bringing Brendan to life.
[3:09] Yair: Like tell everybody about your unique backgrounds because you really do come from like such cool upbringings, and then going into this, and then like where you found your kind of um voices within Drag: The Musical.
[3:25] Remi: Life in the industry kind of yeah, life in the industry, life life behind the scenes.
[3:31] Yair: Like, like you know, what do you guys think allows you to bring theater in mid yeah?
[3:38] Remi: So um my brother was into theater when I was little, not like professionally, just you know, community and stuff, and I always saw him and thought he was super cool, and I wanted to do that, and so I was really lucky to have literally been signed like right away what I wanted if I met a great manager, great agent.
[3:59] Yair: And then how much do they pay you to say that?
[4:04] Remi: Yeah, they're actually holding signs for oh but um and then I was lucky to book a lot of TV, and I think obviously my main goal is Broadway in the end of it, but um to get there you have to like build a resume.
[4:23] Yair: So I was lucky to be able to do a lot of voiceovers and TV and it's been great.
[4:28] Remi: And then I went to sli I go to sleepway camp, so I went to sleep.
[4:31] Yair: I got a lot of auditions, a lot of callbacks, not a lot, or yes, I got a lot of callbacks for a bunch of different projects, like really big projects.
[4:40] Remi: This one was one of them.
[4:41] Yair: And I've been following the show since like LA.
[4:44] Remi: Um, and I'm just branding a few years ago.
[4:48] Yair: I played it for my dad, and it just it means a lot, and I relate to it a lot.
[4:52] Remi: So I always wanted to play it, and so being able to do this role is a really really cool opportunity.
[5:02] Heather Bedor: Well, we're happy that you're here.
[5:05] Remi: Yeah.
[5:06] Yair: Um, I've been singing since I was three years old.
[5:13] Remi: So a couple of years, yeah.
[5:17] Yair: My mom my mom is a cantor.
[5:19] Remi: Okay.
[5:20] Yair: And I always sang with her on the Bima during services, and can we say we love your mom because she is like such a like groupie in the fan group?
[5:29] Remi: Like she just doesn't stop talking about you.
[5:31] Yair: It's so sweet.
[5:32] Remi: She's probably only I mean your the parents I think every every family member or friend or loved one associated with the show is just like such a big supporter.
[5:41] Yair: So cool.
[5:41] Remi: Yeah.
[5:42] Yair: But I've been singing with her on the Bima since I was so young.
[5:46] Remi: And then I my mom there was this little theater company that my mom signed me up for.
[5:53] Yair: They were doing high school musical and it was like, do I have to do this?
[5:57] Remi: I'm scared.
[5:57] Yair: Am I not gonna like it?
[5:59] Remi: It was my first show that I've ever done.
[6:01] Yair: And then when I did it, I fell in love with it, and it was so much fun.
[6:05] Remi: And what role did you have in that show?
[6:09] Yair: I played Chad.
[6:10] Remi: It was my first ever show ever.
[6:13] Yair: That's amazing.
[6:15] Remi: You got that one out of the way, then you're good.
[6:18] Yair: And then I did a couple shows, and I've been auditioning since I was maybe like seven.
[6:27] Remi: I yeah, but my new agent, Zuri agents, VI about like a year maybe like two years ago.
[6:36] Yair: And I was also at camp when I got this audition.
[6:39] Remi: That's so cool.
[6:40] Yair: And I didn't have my phone.
[6:43] Remi: No, no.
[6:44] Yair: Me neither.
[6:45] Remi: I didn't have my phone to send in self tape.
[6:49] Yair: So I got my phone like the week after, and then they my agent extended it to after I got time.
[6:56] Remi: Oh my goodness for the agents.
[6:58] Yair: Oh my god.
[6:59] Remi: Yeah.
[6:59] Yair: So I did my self tape and then a couple in person callbacks.
[7:05] Remi: And then it happened.
[7:06] Yair: And it's so much fun.
[7:08] Remi: And this is such an amazing first big New York theater experience.
[7:15] Yair: And especially because how much it relates to me too.
[7:18] Remi: Right.
[7:19] Yair: And this character, it's so fun getting to play around with it and making it your own.
[7:23] Remi: And yeah.
[7:24] Heather Bedor: And you two didn't know each other before the show, right?
[7:27] Amber Brzezinski: Did you meet at the show?
[7:30] Yair: Yes.
[7:31] Remi: But there's such a genuine bond.
[7:33] Yair: Like you can't forget at least.
[7:35] Remi: It feels like you guys have been friends forever.
[7:37] Yair: I mean, I would say we're a lot alike in a lot of ways.
[7:40] Remi: Yeah, a lot alike, and then otherwise we're different.
[7:43] Yair: Completely different.
[7:44] Remi: But um But you compliment each other where you where you're different.
[7:47] Yair: Yeah.
[7:48] Remi: And we also started we also like started talking a little bit as when they first made the announcement.
[7:53] Yair: We didn't we like connected.
[7:55] Remi: We connected a little bit and then so then we would it wouldn't be the first rehearsal and be like hey.
[8:03] Yair: Yeah.
[8:04] Remi: Oh, who are you?
[8:05] Yair: Yeah, no.
[8:06] Remi: A little bit of a warm intro there.
[8:12] Amber Brzezinski: You guys had a special surprise.
[8:14] Remi: What was it last night with Joey?
[8:16] Yair: Uh wait, yeah, it was the night before last night.
[8:19] Remi: Night before Joey.
[8:21] Yair: Yeah, because it was like the night after Adam's thing.
[8:24] Remi: And then yeah, uh the rent karaoke.
[8:27] Yair: That's so cool.
[8:29] Remi: We also have like I swear a different understudy on every day for a different role they've had with other.
[8:34] Yair: I was gonna say, and then Cameron just made their debut.
[8:39] Remi: I love that.
[8:40] Yair: Um it's so crazy how they can jump into the role so fast because they got like an email at like 1:30 for like a 2:30 p.m. show.
[8:47] Remi: Oh my gosh.
[8:49] Yair: Well that just talks about the level of talent, but also it takes a really strong cast to be able to support an understudy with that short period of click put in.
[8:57] Remi: That too.
[8:57] Yair: I think like when who went on when Christine went on for the first time, which was literally our second preview.
[9:05] Remi: Yeah.
[9:06] Yair: Um crazy times.
[9:08] Remi: Yeah.
[9:09] Yair: Uh our cast was so like uplifting and inspiring as like a young person to see like how much they were actually helping out.
[9:19] Remi: They're so supportive to understudies and stuff to go on too.
[9:23] Yair: I mean, it seems like everybody's just got like it, and just really every person we've ever spoken to, whether it's in person, whether it's through the show, everybody is just supportive and appreciative, and just so in love with the rest of the cast.
[9:36] Remi: And I know like we're throwing like fun questions during one of those lives that you guys it's just it's so much fun just to see like the development of the show and the fan base.
[9:49] Yair: I was just gonna say, and I'm also glad that Adam has kept the TikTok reel stamina alive.
[9:56] Remi: He's not as good as Joey was.
[9:58] Yair: Joey was just top tier at making those videos with you guys.
[10:03] Remi: That was cracked me up every single day.
[10:06] Yair: I'd be like, what are they up to?
[10:08] Remi: What kind of antics?
[10:10] Yair: Wait, there looks like there's tea, Amber.
[10:12] Amber Brzezinski: Go on.
[10:12] Yair: I don't know.
[10:13] Amber Brzezinski: I don't know the tea.
[10:14] Yair: I wish there was.
[10:16] Remi: I don't know if Joey was the greatest or if we were the greatest and gotcha way to do them.
[10:20] Yair: But uh huh.
[10:21] Remi: Yeah, yeah.
[10:21] Yair: No, it's definitely you can tell it's like you guys producing what's happening with TikTok.
[10:26] Remi: It's very funny or a teaser of our next reel with Adam.
[10:32] Yair: Yes, yes.
[10:36] Remi: Yes, hold it up for everyone to talk about just in order.
[10:40] Yair: All right, toilet.
[10:43] Remi: Oh.
[10:44] Yair: With the Sigma.
[10:46] Remi: Level 1000 Gaia.
[10:48] Yair: Okay.
[10:51] Remi: Level 1000 Gaia.
[10:53] Yair: Oh, Adam.
[10:54] Remi: So good.
[10:56] Yair: And I feel like I know all of the what this slang means because I hang out with the 10-year-old sometimes.
[11:01] Remi: So no brain rot is just brain rot.
[11:06] Amber Brzezinski: Now do you guys use those terms in real life?
[11:08] Yair: I have to know this.
[11:09] Remi: No.
[11:10] Yair: So smart.
[11:11] Remi: Thank you.
[11:12] Yair: My brain rot is like period.
[11:13] Remi: Yeah.
[11:14] Yair: Yes, queen work.
[11:16] Remi: Come on.
[11:20] Yair: Toilet Ohio Riz.
[11:22] Remi: Those are only used when you're making run of someone.
[11:27] Yair: Unironically, right?
[11:28] Remi: It's pretty silly.
[11:31] Heather Bedor: And you know, Amber, which you came to one of the previews, didn't you?
[11:34] Amber Brzezinski: I don't think the show was officially open yet.
[11:35] Heather Bedor: No, when I first saw it, the show was in previews and it was like back ooh.
[11:42] Amber Brzezinski: It had to have been I don't even remember when I I feel like it was like February when I first saw it.
[11:50] Yair: February.
[11:52] Amber Brzezinski: And maybe I'm making that up.
[11:54] Yair: We're in February.
[11:55] Amber Brzezinski: No, like last year.
[11:57] Yair: Was it last year?
[11:58] Amber Brzezinski: Oh you saw it in LA.
[12:00] Yair: No, it was she just doesn't know how to read her calendar.
[12:03] Amber Brzezinski: She'll get to I just don't know yeah I'm trying to go to my calendar.
[12:06] Yair: We started preview September 30th.
[12:09] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah.
[12:09] Yair: September okay so then it was September.
[12:12] Amber Brzezinski: I feel like it was the week after Broadway flea is when you went.
[12:15] Yair: So October.
[12:16] Amber Brzezinski: Yes, that makes sense.
[12:18] Yair: Because that was when like most of the costumes weren't developed or like fully fabricated yet.
[12:23] Amber Brzezinski: It was like so much was different.
[12:26] Yair: Yeah.
[12:26] Amber Brzezinski: It was so different.
[12:27] Yair: So when we went back and we just saw it with Adam and Jimbo, I was like, what is this show that I'm seeing?
[12:35] Remi: I was like exceeded my expectations because there were so many aspects that I just wasn't expecting.
[12:41] Yair: There were lines changed.
[12:42] Remi: There were songs cut.
[12:46] Heather Bedor: Is there anything that you wanna keep that has been cut or dropped?
[12:51] Yair: Like what could you bring back if you could? I mean, after Jerry's dead, we ran onto the runway. And we like did like a funeral moment and then harmonies and almost sexuality. And they would like walk off the runway and like when I would be like, I need to call my therapist. It was laughing somebody died. It was it was so funny. Oh my gosh. Oh, it's so funny because you know that show has like a very campy kind of thing, and you can kind of get away with a lot. Um we I I don't know how much of Jalen episode you watched the other day, but we're talking all sorts of prank she's pulling when she comes back. So you know, there seems to come to the city. She's a kooky kookah person.
[13:44] Remi: Yeah. Well you guys are too. Comedic genius.
[13:48] Yair: Yeah, she's great. Like you guys are amazing. Look at the comedy you guys not only portray with comedic timing, but you are truly the heart of this show. You are the one that you bring that emotional, that emotional aspect of the show comes from your character.
[14:04] Remi: Right. Also, I think like with a show that's so fun in itself, it's like every line that you cut is fun and you're gonna be sad about it, but yeah.
[14:14] Yair: Yeah. Oh well, it just makes for the show at the end of the day. The whole Jerry's dead or drunk Jerry's character specifically, like I think almost every line is different.
[14:25] Remi: Yeah, he had oh I'm sure the whole there's like this whole like dirty, yeah, blah blah blah. I am the tiny dancer, that part completely different, and it was like it was talking about his birthday suit and yeah, it was different.
[14:43] Yair: Oh boy, oh boy, and to perform that with a straight face, oh genius, so good, yeah.
[14:53] Amber Brzezinski: You guys have a character that if you were not portraying Brendan, what character do you think that you would portray? Tell us, like if you could switch a spot with I know what he's gonna say, but I'm gonna say one of the same.
[15:06] Yair: Oh no, now I actually want to know what you think each other are gonna say first.
[15:10] Remi: I think yeah, you're just gonna say Alexis Gilmore or Samantha St. James.
[15:15] Yair: And I could see I could see that because you have those riffs and you could do that, Savannah, yeah.
[15:25] Amber Brzezinski: Wow, Amber. Thank you.
[15:28] Yair: And I have a parallel movie board. What you would say, I think you would also say Alexis.
[15:35] Remi: Hey, no, she's the place you should be.
[15:38] Yair: Yeah, I could see that too. Oh my gosh, I could see it. So I think down the road there really needs to be like that, national tour.
[15:46] Remi: Yes.
[15:47] Yair: Oh, maybe that, but also, like maybe when you guys were a little bit older, then maybe it could be like drag the musical too. Teen version.
[15:54] Remi: No, but also like you're like in like a couple years, we should come back as Kitty and Alexis.
[16:00] Yair: Right. Exactly. It's like one like limited run, like OG Brendan's Come Back.
[16:07] Remi: Yeah. OG Brendan's version of Drag the Musical. And we could be like, nobody still knows what happened with Kitty and Alexis, and nobody ever will.
[16:18] Yair: Except now you can find out. It's like, and then or you could do a prequel to Drag the Musical.
[16:24] Remi: Oh we were we were actually what happened between Kitty and Alexis.
[16:29] Yair: No one in the cast.
[16:30] Remi: Yeah. No, no. We we haven't came up with ideas. No one should know. Hmm. Let's post that.
[16:36] Yair: We should pose that to the fan club.
[16:38] Remi: We should pose everybody.
[16:41] Yair: We also say, like, whenever we're like, oh, we should add this scene, and then somebody's like, oh, that's gonna be in the movie version.
[16:49] Remi: We always say that all the time. That drag should be I don't know.
[16:53] Yair: Big dreams.
[16:54] Remi: There's definitely some big dreams about America.
[16:59] Yair: Spoiling it.
[17:00] Remi: Oh sorry.
[17:01] Yair: Okay, you can say it again.
[17:02] Remi: You can say it again.
[17:03] Yair: And some other productions across the globe.
[17:06] Remi: And then I'm told on these things, so I hope that I'm sorry.
[17:10] Yair: Oh no, it's okay. Tomas was on the show, what about a month and a half ago?
[17:13] Remi: Yeah.
[17:14] Yair: And Tomas was struggling to not say certain things, but he let a couple of things out of the bag too. So you're fine.
[17:21] Remi: And smackers is happening. Nothing else.
[17:22] Yair: Smacky's smack.
[17:25] Remi: Yes, lover boys of SmackDaries. Have you tried the show later this month?
[17:29] Yair: Yes.
[17:30] Remi: We're we're gonna sell them at the store in a few weeks.
[17:33] Yair: Yes. Woo! Who's at that? Who's there?
[17:35] Remi: When Amber and I are gonna be in the city.
[17:40] Yair: That's amazing. I'm just gonna go and try the the drag cookie yet.
[17:45] Remi: No, but I made the grand.
[17:49] Yair: I I I we know what it's made of.
[17:53] Remi: Oh yeah. Okay. That's that's exciting.
[17:57] Yair: But yeah, we know we know. That'll be so exciting to find out.
[18:01] Remi: We can't we can't wait to uh harass our friends at Rich Macrays.
[18:05] Yair: We'll harass Johnny and Zachary and get more details. Um we love them.
[18:09] Remi: They're gonna be on the show in a couple of weeks as well.
[18:12] Yair: It's called It's So Pretty because in that video we said it's so pretty.
[18:15] Remi: Yep, yes, that's a great name for a cookie, too.
[18:19] Yair: It's a great name for a lot.
[18:20] Remi: Yeah, Brendan Yeah, we were talking about like Brendan Brownie would be so fun.
[18:27] Yair: Oh yeah.
[18:31] Remi: Or the sparkly glasses, yeah.
[18:33] Yair: Yeah. I love now. Do you guys have a favorite scene in the show to perform?
[18:39] Remi: The words out of my mouth.
[18:42] Yair: I don't know. I think that's such a hard question. I I really like um the drag sale.
[18:51] Remi: This could the drag sale is so fun.
[18:54] Yair: But it's like after the hump of the hardest part of our show, and he can breathe actually.
[19:00] Remi: Right, can we take a breath? Hold some space for it.
[19:03] Yair: It's I like that part.
[19:06] Remi: Hold some space, hold some space.
[19:08] Yair: Um, yeah, no, I feel like every time I come after I come offstage after the drag sale, I'm like always happy. It's so it's such a fun it's such a fun scene to do.
[19:18] Remi: Yeah, because there's a there's a break, and it seems like Brendan is really finding his own right there and and like coming a little bit more to that like acceptance. But like the audiences are so good during that scene, and it just feels so rewarding when you come off stage and you just feel like I just want the audience to be able to bid on things like that are being sold at the yard sale, right?
[19:39] Yair: Yeah, that would be fun.
[19:46] Remi: Yeah, yeah, that's important.
[19:52] Yair: It needs to happen now. Because Juju started giving out the Ricky's wig letter.
[19:58] Remi: So that will be probably I saw that.
[20:02] Yair: Yes. We also in the group posted that they got one. I was like, that's so exciting.
[20:07] Remi: Yeah, so fun.
[20:08] Yair: Yeah. But um, so and I I'm hearing rumors of uh a performance at Broadway backwards, Remy.
[20:16] Remi: This is true.
[20:19] Yair: I'm very excited. It's after a drag performance, so I'm gonna run there.
[20:23] Remi: Yeah, it's at eight o'clock at night, Monday, March 10th with our friends abroad. And mine is at 9 30, my so it's after a drag show because yeah, you're literally what do you do?
[20:34] Yair: In Florida.
[20:34] Remi: I'm in Florida.
[20:35] Yair: So uh You're in Florida and I'm gonna be in New York. How are we missing each other like that?
[20:40] Remi: Yeah.
[20:41] Yair: Um, so it's gonna be great and I'm performing with some really awesome people.
[20:45] Remi: Way look up Twit a lot. It's a great heartbreaking, it's very similar to Brandon's story, actually.
[20:50] Yair: I guess it's a typecast.
[20:53] Remi: But um, and yeah, you're got some stuff coming up too that I think share sometimes. Go ahead, go share.
[21:00] Yair: This is your space.
[21:01] Remi: Eventually.
[21:02] Yair: Okay.
[21:04] Remi: Yeah.
[21:08] Yair: That's exciting. We love it.
[21:10] Remi: Now, not to make us an emotional thing. Have you guys had any fan experiences either during the show or most likely at stage door that like really either caught you a little bit in the throat or that like it was an emotional thing or like a fun one?
[21:30] Yair: Uh each other.
[21:34] Remi: My gosh. I love seeing people say, Wow, this made me cry. This relates to me so much. It's so nice to hear.
[21:44] Yair: And it's so nice that we can tell Brendan's story and it will relate to other people's too.
[21:50] Remi: Resonate.
[21:51] Yair: Yeah. And I also love a fun one is I also love when people are like, Oh, my nephew's name is Brendan, or my name is Brendan. It's so fun to see, and then they buy the shirt, and then like they take it.
[22:02] Remi: Yes.
[22:03] Yair: Yeah. That's amazing.
[22:05] Remi: I'd say I I love when people say that it relates to them. And also if but especially when kids say it, it's it's a lot because it's like um, yeah.
[22:17] Yair: That's why we do the show, honestly. That's why I was Brandon. That's why Brendan's in if it was no Brendan, it's just a drag function.
[22:25] Remi: But um it it means a lot. And there's there's a kid once who came in a Brendan costume.
[22:30] Yair: Yes, I was gonna say that he came in a two-two in a lightning bolt.
[22:35] Remi: Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
[22:36] Yair: I love it.
[22:38] Remi: That's amazing.
[22:39] Yair: That's amazing.
[22:41] Remi: But um, no, don't you don't you dare not talk. Get your butt back over the screen.
[22:47] Yair: But the fact that you both have that moment that's so special. Like, and how would you say, like, how old the kid was?
[22:55] Remi: Like eight, seven.
[22:57] Yair: Oh wow, pretty young.
[22:58] Remi: They's also been some bad experiences, unfortunately.
[23:04] Yair: Do you want to share one? You don't have to.
[23:06] Remi: Well, I I don't know. I hope they're watching.
[23:09] Yair: But um I can put you.
[23:12] Remi: Hold on.
[23:12] Yair: I'm just gonna put you on screen.
[23:14] Remi: Hold on a second.
[23:15] Yair: That's just me.
[23:15] Remi: Okay, let's get back.
[23:16] Yair: Hold on.
[23:18] Remi: No, why won't you let me?
[23:22] Yair: There you go. Come on.
[23:23] Remi: This is your stage.
[23:24] Yair: There was oh, there was someone who was in the front front of the cabaret, like here on this side, kind of facing this wife, who's like, yeah.
[23:36] Remi: Making random noises during the whole show, so drunk up.
[23:40] Yair: Drag is expensive.
[23:41] Remi: Laguna goes, Mano.
[23:45] Yair: And then she was shh.
[23:49] Remi: And the guy was like, I was so drunk. He was like, he was like, Oh, is she talking to me?
[23:55] Yair: Oh no.
[23:57] Remi: Like crazy during one of the voice. They started mumbling during one of they were like moaning during I'm just Brandon.
[24:03] Yair: And then Adam during the fight with uh Alexis went um, shut the heck up.
[24:10] Remi: It was I can barely hear myself think.
[24:13] Yair: Yeah, he said that in the middle of the show, and we were all gagged.
[24:18] Remi: That's amazing, though.
[24:20] Yair: I'm so confident.
[24:25] Remi: Yeah, that's also a fair case because now I'm I'll I'll ask you guys to not play favorites, but play favorites, like differences between Joey and Adam.
[24:33] Yair: Have you I mean clearly there's differences. They're they're two different people, very and also play the role different, yeah.
[24:41] Remi: Very, I agree, and also at the beginning you know like the natural instinct is kind of like oh like we miss Joey miss Joey but we've also started a bond with Adam too but yeah they're such they're such both great people it was like maybe a few weeks after Joey left and we were like we miss him so much it's not the same blah blah but Joey's the same person and we have a bond with and we can tell him anything yeah we love both of them you can always call him up you can always talk to them big susto from the next Brendan and next pump yeah I love that and like you guys are creating that kind of legacy bond that you can create that throughout your career but you also know that yeah exactly if somebody else joins a cast or down your career you also know that you want to be that kind of person to be there for your cast as well yeah um you guys really do have a lot of strength because you're performing with a lot of very big personalities the people that are attending the show either think it's just a drag show they don't know but they're gonna probably have a moment of like happy tears sad tears frustration like there is such that emotional impact of the show but it's presented in such a way that it's like an easier way of seeing a very serious thing that is very very much an active thing in our our communities yeah so it's hard but you guys are so strong because you carry that through the entire show so well definitely I think I'm on the in the any role in musical of either like past or present, like your dream role.
[26:19] Remi: What would it be okay already I saw Hades Town.
[26:26] Yair: And I saw Hades Town another time, and it made me realize that I want to play Orpheus really bad.
[26:31] Remi: Oh, that'd be great.
[26:32] Yair: Such a fun role.
[26:33] Remi: Alexis Gilmore and Dragon Musical, like I've said earlier.
[26:37] Yair: Um I don't know.
[26:40] Remi: Like from past or gender is no option.
[26:45] Yair: I could see you slaying a Glinda too because you have those pipes.
[26:51] Remi: Yeah.
[26:51] Yair: Yes.
[26:52] Remi: Um Glinda in another universe.
[26:56] Yair: I think Jonathan Graft's answer to that question was Maria from The Sound of Music.
[27:01] Remi: So you're literally any role.
[27:03] Yair: Maybe like I feel like I could Bach.
[27:08] Remi: Not like a dream role.
[27:10] Yair: So what I need to do is get you in touch with Michael Drole because like not like a dream role, but I could do Bach.
[27:18] Remi: Yeah, you could totally do Bach.
[27:24] Yair: I also have a Pinterest board.
[27:25] Remi: I've had one for a bunch of years.
[27:27] Yair: I added this Brendan pen because I said a call two years ago.
[27:32] Remi: That's amazing.
[27:34] Yair: I want to play young Noah in the notebook, whatever.
[27:38] Remi: Okay.
[27:39] Yair: Okay.
[27:40] Remi: Oliver and maybe happy endings of one.
[27:43] Yair: Okay.
[27:44] Remi: I'm not Korean, so I don't know if that would work.
[27:47] Yair: But well, Darren Chris isn't either.
[27:50] Remi: I feel like I saw somewhere that he is, but I don't know.
[27:53] Yair: He speaks Korean.
[27:56] Remi: But he's not what?
[27:58] Yair: I don't I and our members will very much tell us that.
[28:03] Remi: Um oh wait, yeah, you're you're from Coral Springs.
[28:07] Yair: Uh I live in like boker.
[28:09] Remi: I yeah, I live in the Joker town.
[28:11] Yair: Yeah, Berkeley.
[28:12] Remi: I feel like baby we talked about that.
[28:13] Yair: Samantha Sutter from the Broadway Buddy.
[28:16] Remi: We love her.
[28:16] Yair: Just like shout out to your fellow Coral Springs resident.
[28:19] Remi: I grew up in Coral Springs.
[28:21] Yair: Oh my gosh.
[28:23] Remi: Yeah.
[28:25] Yair: Yeah.
[28:26] Remi: And I'm now planning our high school reunion.
[28:28] Yair: So I grew up in Curl Springs and Boca and Margate.
[28:31] Remi: That's crazy.
[28:32] Yair: Wow.
[28:33] Remi: Yep.
[28:34] Yair: So cool.
[28:35] Remi: Yeah.
[28:35] Yair: So sorry, go ahead, Remy.
[28:37] Remi: I blink Larkin and Hairspray.
[28:40] Yair: That'd be great.
[28:41] Remi: That'd be good.
[28:42] Yair: Do you want to know what one of our dream roles are for you both?
[28:46] Remi: They're workshopping Lost Boys, and we're like, we want the boys to be in West Boys.
[28:51] Yair: I've heard I've also been asked or seen or whatever you want to call it.
[28:55] Remi: Or something in Greatest Showman.
[28:57] Yair: And then Paijack is in that greeting.
[29:00] Remi: Anyways, I want to be the MC really bad in Cameron.
[29:03] Yair: Yeah.
[29:03] Remi: I just want that you manifest.
[29:04] Yair: Yes, we would love to see you as the MC.
[29:08] Remi: Yes would be a great one.
[29:10] Yair: Um or I mean anything.
[29:12] Remi: Like there's there's so many shows, but what I love is that you guys can like anyone, like Dr.
[29:17] Yair: Palmer would be great.
[29:20] Remi: Okay, so you want a little bit of a villainous villain.
[29:24] Yair: Somebody said the outsiders and I play Pony Boy.
[29:28] Remi: Slick.
[29:28] Yair: I could see it.
[29:30] Remi: Although you can do anything you put your heart to.
[29:34] Yair: I feel like Pony Boys are like our.
[29:39] Remi: I mean, I could also see like West Side Story, you know, something with the cost of both have such lovely voices.
[29:52] Yair: Thank you so much.
[29:53] Remi: Um, like I don't know if you guys saw the five seconds that Ben Cameron was on Jalen's show to talk about the the evening's cabaret at Green Room 42 Thursday, but he just had the most wonderful things to say about both of you guys and your vocals, and just we love Ben and like Ben's a lot of people, and like he just literally is saying your praises.
[30:17] Yair: That's so nice.
[30:19] Remi: Wow.
[30:19] Yair: Yeah, you've got a massive fan club here.
[30:22] Remi: Um, and so many people like, and I'll also say when we post like our flyers and stuff, we always let everybody know in all 78 of our groups, including obviously the drag the musical group, and in every single group, people were so excited that you guys were coming on the show.
[30:38] Yair: Um, people thanked us for sharing that.
[30:40] Remi: People even thanked us for you know being open to having kids on the show.
[30:44] Yair: And I'm like, yeah, but they're you guys are so professional.
[30:49] Remi: And I I will also admit I did text Tomas yesterday and I said, I just want to tell you that Yair and Remy are the most professional, well-spoken individuals and just so excited about the show.
[31:02] Yair: And I told him, I said, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to just have this interface.
[31:07] Remi: You guys are so wonderful.
[31:08] Yair: And Tomas is just like I couldn't be prouder of them.
[31:11] Remi: So just also know that like you guys are just there, and I know you're like, we want to be on Broadway.
[31:16] Yair: Yeah, off Broadway is just the difference in the seats, but it's gonna happen.
[31:21] Remi: It's also like I think his show's like revolutionary, if you want to call it that.
[31:26] Yair: Yes, true for sure.
[31:28] Remi: I think especially right now during this time of the world.
[31:33] Yair: Yeah, yeah.
[31:34] Remi: Yeah.
[31:34] Yair: I think the people that don't get it that don't go see the show don't deserve to see the show, but probably need to see the show, and the people that do go to the show go back multiple times.
[31:45] Remi: Yeah.
[31:46] Yair: I mean, I was there for Joey's last night, and I walked and I I've walked into somebody at the stage store who had been there 15 times already and bought the guitar and bought like every piece of merch.
[31:58] Remi: Whoa.
[31:59] Yair: So you guys have like super fans out there because like New World Stages is such a unique theater space.
[32:05] Remi: Yeah.
[32:05] Yair: And we know that backstage area.
[32:07] Remi: I am sure that between the two of you guys with the rest of the cast, do you have like your own little corner that you guys are able to like get some some space?
[32:16] Yair: We actually have a big dressing room for kids and off Robin's.
[32:21] Remi: Oh Adam.
[32:22] Yair: We have the closest dressing room with the stage.
[32:25] Remi: Well, yeah, but it's also like pretty big.
[32:27] Yair: And um, what's it called?
[32:30] Remi: Although it sometimes it does feel like you're like hugging people, yeah.
[32:35] Yair: We actually it's tight.
[32:37] Remi: So we have our dressing room, and then we have the queen's dressing room, but in between we have a fake wall.
[32:45] Yair: Okay, so it's not actually real, so we can hear to the other side.
[32:50] Remi: So we talk to each other through the walls, and I'm like, JoJo, look at your Instagram DMs, and she's like, Okay, little baby.
[32:58] Yair: It must be so fun to work with such big personalities, too.
[33:03] Remi: Yeah, yeah.
[33:03] Yair: And and you you both just fit right in.
[33:06] Remi: There's well, because they're both big personalities.
[33:08] Yair: I was just gonna say there's no awkwardness, there's no weirdness, it's just a complete perfect circle.
[33:17] Remi: Yeah, completely.
[33:19] Yair: Is there anything that you guys have struggled with with this show?
[33:23] Remi: Like, was there something that just you know you were internally struggling with, whether it was personal or and you don't have to share?
[33:30] Yair: But like, how do you each individually approach approach Brendan on, I know taking from like real life experience, but portraying his character to this like more open and you don't really know what the audience is gonna do, perspective.
[33:45] Remi: You might have someone who's right there with you and somebody who has some haws.
[33:49] Yair: But how do you guys not only embrace the character individually and pull from it, but has there ever been a time where you like like to me, if somebody says something and I worked really hard for something and they made like a snarky comment, then you know, do you have a moment that you have to step aside?
[34:05] Remi: Like, how do you guys kind of decompress a little bit?
[34:10] Yair: Well, answering like the first part of your question, the it's so it's been a hard experience for me just because I have so much going on, and I I mean, obviously, going forward for another experience, maybe we'd go a different route, but also education's important to me.
[34:10] Remi: So it's been a lot juggling both, and like some nights I give a great day in school, some days I give a great show, some days it's not the best show I've ever.
[34:36] Yair: I also need a surgery, which is kind of stopping me a little bit, right?
[34:41] Remi: Um, so it's it's hard and really tiring and taxing, but it's also worth it.
[34:47] Yair: Maybe that's a better way of putting it, and you know, we want to help whatever we can do to help with that too.
[34:52] Remi: I'm like my hardest critic too.
[34:54] Yair: So everybody knows, yeah.
[35:03] Remi: It's a lot, yeah.
[35:04] Yair: Yeah, it is.
[35:06] Remi: We'll play the same character, but you obviously have your own spin that you put on the character.
[35:13] Yair: If you could describe Brendan in three, if you each could describe Brendan in three words, what three words would you use to describe Brendan?
[35:19] Remi: Oh, what's that, Amber?
[35:23] Yair: Passionate.
[35:26] Remi: Um empathetic.
[35:33] Yair: This is like the edge of his kind of arc, I guess.
[35:36] Remi: Like towards the optimistic.
[35:46] Yair: Yeah, definitely.
[35:47] Remi: Those are some great words.
[35:49] Yair: Amazing.
[35:50] Remi: All right, yeah, you're your turn.
[35:52] Yair: I think so.
[35:55] Remi: Brave.
[35:56] Yair: Very.
[35:59] Remi: Umprising, not to sometimes the audience, because sometimes, like you know, you see him come in and he's just this shy little boy, but you don't know what about what's about to come up.
[36:24] Yair: Right.
[36:26] Remi: Um, maybe I don't know.
[36:38] Yair: Yeah, happy.
[36:41] Remi: That's good.
[36:42] Yair: Brendan iconic.
[36:44] Remi: Brendan.
[36:44] Yair: He's just iconic.
[36:46] Remi: Yeah, he's Brendan.
[36:47] Yair: He's just Brendan.
[36:48] Remi: You don't need any words for Brandon.
[36:50] Yair: But I think brave is such a great word to describe Brendan.
[36:53] Remi: The the word that came to my mind immediately was just courage, because Brendan's whole arc just is just such a display of courageousness, and it's so important for like we were talking about young kids to see people of all ages just to see someone have that experience live for you know 45 minutes.
[37:15] Yair: Even Jay Lane, remember she was so concerned about her brother coming to the show because this straight laced guy, and she was like, I don't know how he's gonna feel seeing the show, because he really is like that straight laced guy coming in into a drag show, and you know, with that kind of experience, and she was like, This is you, um, but he enjoyed it, so I think give it an you know, I talk about my dad a lot in the show, and my dad's very supportive of stuff, and my dad really wants to see the show.
[37:47] Remi: It's this beautiful like tone that comes along with it, but it's digestible.
[37:51] Yair: Um, but I definitely think Brendan is strong.
[37:54] Remi: You guys are strong for portraying that character because that has to take a lot out of you each and every time, yeah.
[38:01] Yair: But you're you're drying driving that strength too, and you know, I think that powerful statement of I'm just Brendan, like that says volumes because you're like, Look, I'm comfortable in my own skin.
[38:14] Remi: This is just me, and I think a lot of people could benefit from that.
[38:18] Yair: I think when people come, it's like the point of that song is to not put him in a box, yeah.
[38:24] Remi: And so he's not he's not this or that, he's just Brendan, right?
[38:30] Yair: Yeah, yeah, whenever he wants to be right.
[38:35] Yair: I wish more people were accepting like that, but you guys seem to have this, you have a cult following.
[38:41] Remi: Go ahead.
[38:42] Yair: I think the line, I don't see the world in black and white or blue and pink is something I relate to a lot. Like sometimes when people are saying, "Oh, that's for blah blah blah blah," you just want to be like, "It's a piece of clothing."
[39:01] Remi: Right, right.
[39:09] Yair: I was putting some song clips onto some of the reels that we were promoting the show on, and I was happy to find "I'm Just Brendan" available for Facebook reels. It was so hard because it was just our flyer. It was so hard to pick what segment of that song to go through. I mean, you're part of a lot of fun songs, but that song is like the unsung heroes anthem, and I really think like pride is coming up soon, and being here in Orlando, pride is all the time. I know that a lot of people who have traveled from Orlando to New York and even in our fan group, where people have traveled from all over the country to go see the show, that really resonates with them. So it's a celebration for sure.
[39:56] Remi: Definitely.
[39:58] Amber Brzezinski: Yeah, you look like you have a question.
[40:02] Yair: She's so invested.
[40:03] Remi: She's like, I just wanted to make sure I know we're on time limits for everybody. I want to make sure that the boys have enough time to eat between shows.
[40:15] Yair: She's so awful.
[40:16] Remi: You have a place to be.
[40:18] Amber Brzezinski: So I'm volunteering at a show tonight, so I can go see "Ride the Cyclone." Is everyone doing okay on time?
[40:25] Yair: I think we're doing good.
[40:27] Remi: Okay.
[40:34] Amber Brzezinski: Thank you.
[40:35] Yair: Thank you, bye.
[40:37] Remi: Yeah. I always love to know, do you guys have any little pre-show kind of rituals that you do before going on stage? Do you like to have, you know, meditation time?
[40:47] Yair: Do you like to—
[40:57] Remi: Joey used to like close the thing for like 15 or like 10 minutes, and he just used to like sit and like breathe. And that was really cool. But we also have—we don't have many pre-show rituals. We do have mid-show.
[41:12] Yair: We do have mid-show.
[41:13] Remi: We do have mid-show. Like we do the dance party with whoever is doing the dresser track that day. And I like to warm up before or during "It's a Drag."
[41:29] Yair: Wait, I'm trying to find—
[41:31] Remi: He's finding a video of it. We have it on there.
[41:36] Yair: Now being around all these queens and with this incredible makeup, like have you guys gotten to play around at all or have any interest in like—I always have so many of my drag friends, I'm like, please just drag me out. Like I want to have that experience.
[41:54] Remi: Well, yeah, that look is good, but I'm saying like full like baked on face. Have the queens offered to do a beat for you?
[42:03] Yair: Yes.
[42:06] Remi: Um, they've taught us a lot. Definitely have taught us a lot.
[42:11] Yair: Do you have any makeup pointers for our followers?
[42:16] Remi: Yeah, pointers for our followers. Um, that's no—uh, no, I've learned a lot. Okay, and it's cool to get to know things from masters, of course. Now it's like a master class in makeup because you are really learning from the best.
[42:16] Yair: Yeah, you guys know that we have been tasked with finding the appropriate name for the fans of the show.
[42:16] Remi: Yes, we saw a post about it.
[42:16] Yair: Wait, yeah, this is gonna be a whole little look with—
[42:16] Remi: Oh, you are—I guess when I saw, I wasn't focusing on just how much of a look you had, but—
[42:16] Yair: I definitely noticed the glitter. I saw the glitter for sure. So yes, we definitely need your votes because we're taking everybody from the cast votes. If you had a choice of the fan base being called one of the three, what do you prefer and why: Draglings, Glam Fam, or Glitterati?
[42:16] Remi: I don't know. I don't know. These were submitted by cast, crew, and followers and voted on. I don't know. Or do you have one you want to submit on your own?
[42:16] Yair: I don't think Glitterati—it's supposed to be like the Illuminati, like an underground. I think Draglings is so cute.
[42:16] Remi: Draglings is—
[43:56] Yair: I agree. Draglings is my vote.
[44:04] Remi: They can't even say it.
[44:07] Yair: Why are we muting?
[44:11] Remi: It's out.
[44:12] Yair: We're out.
[44:13] Remi: We're cutting it.
[44:13] Yair: I'm cutting that one.
[44:19] Remi: Okay. Draglings.
[44:19] Yair: Yeah.
[44:19] Remi: And Amber, what did you say?
[44:21] Amber Brzezinski: It's like you have your little babies. You're like, come on, little Draglings.
[44:24] Yair: Yeah, like Mother. I can show you Mother Alaska walking around and us just like following her.
[44:33] Remi: Me and Yair laugh at the smallest things ever.
[44:36] Yair: No, that's okay.
[44:38] Remi: And see, Samantha says Dragsters like the car, but that's the problem. Everyone thinks about the car and the racing.
[44:46] Yair: If the ensemble weren't called the Draguettes, I feel like that would be a fun name.
[44:50] Remi: Oh, and the bands, the Drags.
[44:56] Yair: So I think the Draglings fits the theme.
[45:00] Remi: Yeah, I agree. And that's no disrespect to the people that submitted the other ones, but I think Draglings is kind of where everybody's leaning towards.
[45:09] Yair: Oh, now we're gonna have to make the boys' bracelets to say Draglings online.
[45:14] Remi: Draglings, yeah.
[45:16] Yair: No, I can get it.
[45:20] Remi: Breathe.
[45:20] Yair: I don't want to kill you before your show.
[45:22] Remi: I'm not even joking. We laugh at the stupidest things ever.
[45:30] Yair: I think sure say Drag, yes.
[45:32] Remi: Or maybe Dragie Haughty.
[45:35] Yair: Oh.
[45:36] Remi: Oh, that's cute. But yeah, I think I love Draglings.
[45:40] Yair: Draglings is great.
[45:41] Remi: Okay.
[45:42] Yair: Alright, and I'm gonna hit you guys with one of my favorite questions. Amber knows it's coming. Has there ever been a question—
[45:46] Remi: Yeah, it's been a while.
[45:48] Yair: Has there ever been a question that you guys have wanted to answer or be asked and have not had anyone ask you?
[45:57] Remi: That's a good one.
[45:58] Yair: Thanks. And what is the answer?
[46:04] Remi: Who's your favorite understudy?
[46:07] Yair: Ooh.
[46:08] Remi: Okay.
[46:12] Yair: I love—no, I think that's a—I am too. I absolutely am. How it's what the head is. It makes the show so much more grounded that day and makes everyone on their feet, and it's just better.
[46:24] Remi: We're so excited for Jan tomorrow.
[46:26] Yair: Yes.
[46:28] Remi: Oh my god, she's gonna eat.
[46:30] Yair: I'm so excited. Her riffs during "It's a Drag." Although I hope it happens. There are some circumstances.
[46:38] Remi: Yeah.
[46:39] Yair: We'll knock on wood. We'll think happy thoughts.
[46:41] Remi: Yes.
[46:44] Yair: My favorite understudy.
[46:50] Remi: Love it.
[46:51] Yair: I love that they have the giggles. You can show it like an hour and a half.
[46:56] Remi: Okay.
[46:57] Yair: What a great friendship that is. Like, that's really cool.
[47:05] Remi: Oh, that's a good one. He's Kodiak. He's a lot like—he's a lot like Lux.
[47:10] Yair: Yeah.
[47:11] Remi: Kodiak's super good as Lexus. Um, yeah.
[47:15] Yair: Jay Lane is so cute.
[47:16] Remi: She's like Tiny Tuna.
[47:18] Yair: Tiny Tunes.
[47:18] Remi: We call her Tiny Tuna.
[47:19] Yair: Travel size tuna.
[47:20] Remi: I don't know if you've seen it. I love her.
[47:22] Yair: Yeah, you gotta put her in the bag.
[47:23] Remi: I've got a tiny bright bag. We're gonna put her in the giant burger.
[47:27] Yair: I don't know if you've seen videos, but she literally looks like the small version of her.
[47:33] Remi: She's so fantastic, but she's so sweet. We accidentally made her cry.
[47:42] Yair: In a good way.
[47:43] Remi: In a good way.
[47:46] Yair: Because we were talking about, you know, and just like with you guys, like we see you guys, and we appreciate what you bring to the performance. It's not like, "Oh my god, it's Brendan." I mean, it's Yair and it's Remy, and you guys bring something unique and different to the role that represents that character. But we see you guys as performers too. When we said something like that to Jay Elaine, she started to tear up, and we felt so sad.
[48:11] Remi: Alright, yeah, you're not getting off this easy. What question would you have wanted to be answered?
[48:17] Yair: Oh, Remy fell on the floor.
[48:18] Remi: Okay. What question that I would love to answer? Um, she already misses you guys.
[48:29] Yair: We're not gonna see her after I leave.
[48:31] Remi: Um, her final, final day.
[48:35] Yair: Yeah, before our final day together.
[48:38] Remi: Yeah, so it'll happen down the road. Like a question that I would love to answer.
[48:48] Yair: I don't know.
[48:49] Remi: That's a really good question though.
[48:52] Yair: Thanks. You can always get back to us on it.
[48:55] Remi: We love it.
[48:55] Yair: No, I know. I'm thinking whether it's about you, a role you performed before, or something about the show that you've always wanted to tell people.
[48:56] Remi: Or talk about.
[48:56] Yair: Something about the show that I've always loved to tell people. Um, well, we've said how much it's changed. I love getting to answer that question. I love getting to answer questions.
[49:20] Remi: Has anything goes wrong?
[49:21] Yair: Has anything gone wrong?
[49:24] Remi: Okay. Well, you know the answer is yes every night in the best way. There's something different. A little piece of the door has fallen off before. My costume broke during that night today. The costumes have fallen off, people's mics have gone up, both have handhelds. People have had to stall during it, so putting like with the dress because Nick's mic is broken, doors have fallen off.
[49:50] Yair: Oh no, it was—
[49:50] Remi: But you guys are so strong to be able to get through it and not just like, "Oh my god, Sunday."
[49:58] Yair: Yeah, yeah.
[49:58] Remi: It's so fun. No one finds it that serious.
[50:01] Yair: Yeah, no one just laughed. It's fun. If a piece of the door breaks and nobody is going in full fantasy—
[50:06] Remi: Yeah.
[50:06] Yair: During "It's a Drag," the table broke, and Alaska made it funny, and she was like, "So how with Alexis and to hell with this table." Or some look at him like, you know, it's a mistake.
[50:15] Remi: I'll bring an airplane on, baby.
[50:17] Yair: A mic system that doesn't work.
[50:19] Remi: A mistake.
[50:20] Yair: Yeah, yeah.
[50:21] Remi: That one now.
[50:24] Yair: Are you team Cathouse or team Fishing?
[50:27] Remi: Oh, okay.
[50:30] Yair: I don't want to get canceled.
[50:31] Remi: You're not gonna get canceled.
[50:36] Yair: Yeah, Juju's actually like right there, right?
[50:39] Remi: She's watching.
[50:40] Yair: She's just Catfish, you guys.
[50:44] Remi: Your team Cabbage.
[50:45] Yair: Okay, diplomatic answer.
[50:47] Remi: That's a very diplomatic answer.
[50:50] Yair: What did you just say?
[50:54] Remi: But yeah, I'm team Catfish. I when all the gorgeous face—
[51:01] Yair: My gorgeous.
[51:03] Remi: Silver outfits came together. Like neither would notice. Like before when we only had like the costumes from Cathouse and Fish Tank, it just made them still seem like they were separate. But the silver costumes, it just—it's just a small thing, but it makes them seem so fabulous.
[51:16] Yair: Neutrality of it.
[51:23] Remi: That's true. I, as someone who didn't get to see the silver costumes the first time, it really did make all the difference.
[51:36] Yair: I'm gonna try and find but also Remi told me something today that he told me a little while ago.
[51:42] Remi: Oh yeah. This was the first bows ever. We didn't literally stood there. We didn't have that one. Look, we've gone in line. Well no, we don't look united at all. These costumes that are wearing are fully cut now.
[51:58] Yair: Wow. My odd. Yeah, they're gorgeous, but it would mostly be used for like fish day. People had different wigs, Nick Laughlin had different wigs. She's wearing lucky. We can never have too many wigs, but yeah.
[52:12] Remi: Also, our finale costume was completely different.
[52:17] Yair: Cool. Okay. Did you like it before or now better?
[52:21] Remi: No, they were like rushing with the costumes. So Marco Marco, love him so much. He he's made costumes. He's made some of the most iconic costumes. It's so cool to see.
[52:34] Yair: Okay, if that happened during the funeral scene, we're having a full conversation about. But he is he's like 10 minutes before the show. He had like we didn't we didn't have a finale costume so he has like pins in his mouth and so we have this like minutes before he's like sowing you guys in we don't have a finale costume and then he take we take this pair of pants and then he cuts the bottom of it uses that for the top of the overalls and then like random straps and just put them around us and he's like cutting the bottom of the pants with just like scissors and he has pins in his mouth it's like a moment of like Edward scissor hands I just watched that movie and that's all I can picture.
[53:22] Remi: Oh wait we're gonna we're getting a replay here one more time we can go and we just up and this man is swallowed a pin in his in his throat oh my gosh oh my gosh it was and I and he was like it wasn't that big of a deal it happened a couple times it was like hello that's like that's not how that's supposed to work that's a little bit ja uh workplace occupational uh hazard there hazard yeah yeah no but I was like oh that's yeah but yeah no but he the outcome of all the costumes together are so amazing.
[54:04] Yair: Also every time he comes back from the light he's always adding yeah he's always it's constantly evolving like a Pokemon.
[54:11] Remi: But there's all like Under Study costumes too which are honestly just as good seven of them.
[54:15] Yair: Yeah. Just frozen. Like for Cameron, it's you have seen six.
[54:25] Remi: Yes.
[54:26] Yair: Yeah. The alternates have like all the same costumes.
[54:29] Remi: Yeah. They I think in the US they do, but not in the UK. They all have different ones.
[54:33] Yair: No, I think it's the opposite, actually.
[54:37] Remi: Yeah. So the US they do alteration, like there's a small change in each different queen's costume when a new cast comes on.
[54:43] Yair: Well no. The alternates.
[54:47] Remi: Oh, they have the exact same. I think they were the same.
[54:50] Yair: So it's easier. But for Cameron for all three cat house, it's the same look and the same. It's like different weights, but yeah.
[54:56] Remi: Yeah, sometimes but I also feel like sometimes they just like mix and match stuff too.
[55:02] Yair: Fair for understudies and swings. But also for a situation where Christine had to go on for the second preview.
[55:10] Remi: Right. That's they ran to like Forever 21 and just like normal.
[55:17] Yair: I think that happened at Death Becomes Her too. They literally grabbed Macy's.
[55:20] Remi: Yeah. Then they they just go and they pick it up and they fix it a little bit. They add some rhinestones everywhere. They literally grabbed everything off the shelf and that they were turned to bajillion things.
[55:31] Yair: Yeah. Probably.
[55:33] Remi: Yeah. How did that happen to maybe have uh whatever that's against her?
[55:36] Yair: What happened?
[55:37] Remi: Um Death Becomes Her. Megan Hilte was out like the second preview.
[55:44] Yair: Oh.
[55:45] Remi: So they had to get costumes for the understudy, and they weren't ready yet. So they had to get them like ball gowns.
[55:53] Yair: Oh and like added a couple of little like that's crazy because like the opening number has like tons of quick changes.
[56:00] Remi: Well, also under 76. I don't think she had the quick changes in place yet. I think they if I if I'm not mistaken, they just got in the costumes for her to be able to do all the quick changes.
[56:12] Yair: Like the blue under the opening number. Under studies have rehearsals after opening.
[56:17] Remi: Yeah. Christine didn't have a put in or anything. I don't even know how Christine had a wig. Like honestly.
[56:23] Yair: She is the weird. Yeah. I think something happened and they were getting the wig ready, but she knew.
[56:30] Remi: There's also been so many costumes that have been cut, like from sketches. I'm gonna show you guys some while you guys talk. I'm gonna pull them up.
[56:35] Yair: Yeah. Well, it's okay. I don't want to make you guys run late. We have like a minute left.
[56:41] Remi: Oh, we won't run late.
[56:43] Yair: Yeah. This is a good way to close it.
[56:44] Remi: This is a good way.
[56:45] Yair: Yeah, oh yeah, let's close it. Absolutely.
[56:47] Remi: And I also want to pose I want to pose a question to you guys while you're pulling that up, and that'll be a a a definitive close. And please please know that you guys are welcome to come back whenever you would like because this has been a pleasure.
[56:59] Yair: Wow. Quick change where he like ripped it off and had like five costumes. There was this little like kind of like spheres-ish.
[57:09] Remi: Yeah, oh my god, that's gorgeous. And this was supposed to all happen in the opening.
[57:13] Yair: Oh god. Whoa.
[57:16] Remi: Yeah. They're so they're so amazing. Some are accurate. Like this is pretty accurate. It'll happen.
[57:22] Yair: I'm in the process of building a Bob Mackey style ball gown. Um designed after Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors for costume contests.
[57:31] Remi: Oh send you guys a picture. These are crazy popcorn.
[57:35] Yair: Oh my god. That one's in the popcorn have the best costumes.
[57:40] Remi: The best costume. Yes, yes, they do. Like, but just the sketches are so cool.
[57:46] Yair: The sketches are very detailed.
[57:48] Remi: Those are incredible. Oh wow. That's cool. With fish in them, that'd be the best.
[57:53] Yair: Wait, wait, wait. This is the best one.
[57:56] Remi: While we wrap up.
[57:58] Yair: Yeah, you're fine. Was for this is 200 turners. Gonna have a chrome like little hair thing on it.
[58:07] Remi: Yes. But still, our costumes now are gorgeous.
[58:12] Yair: Oh, she didn't have that, but that was cut and previews because it didn't really work out. One of these days will be like everything that was cut was created.
[58:20] Remi: Yeah. Alright, I'm gonna ask you my last question. Are you ready for it?
[58:23] Yair: Yes.
[58:24] Remi: Alright. I know that the other side of the cast is literally on the other side of the wall and can essentially hear you, but is there something that you would say to the We're not in the dressing room?
[58:34] Yair: Oh, you're like on the other side of the wall. And I'm like, oh okay. Um, but that's great. That is like that's a very fancy dressing room. Well, here's here's the proposal is do you guys have anything that you want to say? One to your fans, two to your cast and the crew that you know, this is your opportunity. Like they have to listen to you. It could be nice, it could be mean, it could be silly. What do you guys want to say right now? How do you how do you want to leave leave the show in the best way possible?
[59:01] Yair: Thank you to the fans for supporting. Stay gold.
[59:04] Remi: Yeah. Stay gold.
[59:06] Yair: Okay.
[59:07] Remi: Yeah. Remember outside us is calling for you.
[59:19] Yair: Just wait.
[59:23] Remi: Um also other young actors, just keep on going. Don't forget. It's gonna happen.
[59:27] Yair: I love that. And the best way for people to find you on Instagram, or what would be the best way for them to hunt you down and say hello?
[59:36] Remi: Yeah, your kid are on Instagram. Remy Madden Zachman on Instagram.
[59:41] Yair: And we will post those so you guys can follow them.
[59:43] Remi: Yeah. 5,000 followers on TikTok. Follow me there.
[59:46] Yair: And I have 250.
[59:50] Remi: Yet you're sayings too much on TikTok.
[59:55] Yair: Yeah, from I am talkman, of course it is. Send those over to the to our Instagram. We'll definitely post those so people can come and give you guys both more followers.

[1:00:05] Yair: But we really appreciate you guys so much. We loved hanging out with you. I can't wait to see the show again.
[1:00:11] Remi: About to be part of this.
[1:00:13] Yair: Of course. Anytime you guys want, even if you're like done with drag and you're going to do something else, please, please.

[1:00:21] Yair: So let us know. We can't wait to see what incredible careers you guys have ahead of you, too.
[1:00:26] Remi: Thank you so much.
[1:00:28] Yair: Thanks, guys.
[1:00:30] Remi: Oh, they're so sweet.

[1:01:46] Amber Brzezinski: Oh, I do remember actually, never mind.
[1:01:48] Heather Bedor: So a couple of days ago on like Valentine's Day, there was this like really incredible viral video between this couple that got engaged on the stage of Romeo and Juliet.
[1:01:59] Amber Brzezinski: Yes.
[1:02:00] Heather Bedor: All you had to say was couple, and I was like, oh, I remember. Benji and Laura are gonna be right here in our studio on Monday to kind of hang out, talking about it.

[1:03:56] Amber Brzezinski: I cannot wait.
[1:03:58] Heather Bedor: Of ride the cyclone, there's at least like five or six different.
[1:04:00] Amber Brzezinski: Oh no, I'm saying in general.
[1:04:02] Heather Bedor: Yeah, I'm just talking ride the cyclone.
[1:04:04] Amber Brzezinski: Like that that collection is vast.
