We're excited to continue highlighting shows from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2023. In this episode, we'll be discussing two more shows that caught our attention. First up, we have Caitlyn Staples and Tiana Hogben, creators of Eighteen, a hilarious and nostalgic show about the ups and downs of long-term friendships. About Caitlyn and Tiana Staples & Tiana Hogben are performers and writers based in Melbourne. Having met in 2005, they have been performing together ever since in various capacities including theatre, improv and sketch. Their online sketches Christmas Family Lunch and Shame of Thrones have gained thousands of views, with Shame of Thrones hitting over 3 million views collectively. They are both also members of sketch group Hit By a Blimp, having written and performed 4 shows with this group, one of which, nominated for Best Comedy at Melbourne Fringe. They areboth teachers and ensemble members at The Improv Conspiracy in both sketch and improv. Separately, Tiana is a screen actor known for roles in Summer Love (ABC), The Housemate (ABC) and Get Krack!n (ABC) and Caitlyn is a writer with shows in development with Haven't You Done Well and Gristmill. Both have participated in Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Melbourne Fringe every year since 2016 - this is their first show as a duo act.

Gillian Cosgriff is an award-winning musical comedian, actor, writer, composer and self-confessed pessimist. In actually, good she makes her long-awaited return to the Festival (after three years starring in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), with her hilarious original songs, killer stand-up and a big book of things that are actually good.
