Ingrid Michaelson

Ingrid Michaelson's artistic journey began at a young age. With a sculptor mother and a classical composer father, creativity was ingrained in her. By four, she was already taking piano lessons, and her path to the stage was further solidified by a degree in musical theatre from Binghamton University. While touring with a theatre troupe, Michaelson discovered her songwriting talent, and the rest is history.

Though known primarily for her captivating pop music career, Michaelson has also dipped her toes into the world of Broadway. In 2017, she stepped in for actress Brittain Ashford as Sonya Rostova in the critically acclaimed musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Michaelson took a giant leap by composing the music and lyrics for the highly anticipated Broadway adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' beloved novel, The Notebook, which premiered in March 2024.
