Jeena Yi plays Melissa Han in the Broadway premiere of The Balusters, marking her second Broadway appearance. She previously appeared on Broadway as The Technician in the 2018 production of Network, directed by Ivo van Hove and starring Bryan Cranston. A graduate of Columbia University's School of the Arts acting program, Yi is a multifaceted artist who works as both an actress and a playwright.
Beyond her Broadway work, Yi is also an accomplished writer. Her play Jesa, about four sisters navigating family tensions during a traditional Korean ritual, received its world premiere at The Public Theater in a co-production with Ma-Yi Theater Company. Her additional acting credits include work across Off-Broadway and regional theater. Yi brings a distinctive creative perspective to the stage, informed by her dual work as a performer and dramatist.
