Josh Andrés Rivera made his Broadway debut as Rocky in the revival of The Rocky Horror Show at Studio 54. His professional theater career began as a member of the original national touring company of Hamilton, where he served as a standby and understudy for multiple principal roles, including those associated with John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Hercules Mulligan/James Madison.
Rivera rose to prominence through his film career, starring as Chino in Steven Spielberg's West Side Story and as Sejanus Plinth in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. He portrayed Aaron Hernandez in FX's limited series American Sports Story and has appeared in the films Cat Person and other projects. Born in North Carolina to Puerto Rican parents, Rivera attended Ithaca College before launching his career on the stage.
