Susan Blackwell’s life’s work is to free people’s creative self-expression. As a creativity coach, Broadway/film/TV performer, writer, and podcaster, she champions this cause around the world.
She created and played a character based on herself in the original Broadway musical [title of show], and the off-Broadway musical NOW. HERE. THIS. She created and hosted the freewheeling chat show Side by Side by Susan Blackwell on Broadway.com for 11 years. Susan is a proud MacDowell fellow.
As a writer, some of Susan’s favorite co-creations include ‘The Golden Palace’, ‘Die Vampire, Die!’ ‘My First Time’, and ‘lindabell’.
As an actor, she has appeared at the Vineyard Theatre, NYMF, Ars Nova, The Roundabout, The New Group, and The Atlantic Theatre. On TV, she has been seen on ‘Billions’, ‘Master of None’, ‘Madame Secretary’, ‘Succession’, ‘Younger’, 'The Good Wife', 'The Sopranos', and 'Law & Order’. Her film credits include Auggie, Yes God Yes, The Post, The Comedian, Margin Call, and P.S.: I Love You.
In addition to her creative accomplishments and 20+ years in corporate and management, Susan has created and led transformational development experiences for thousands of participants at Fortune 100 companies, world-class arts organizations, professional conferences, universities and other institutions.
