Sutton Foster is an award-winning actress, singer, and dancer who has starred in numerous Broadway musicals, including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes, and Violet. She has won two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical, for her performances in Millie and Anything Goes. Foster has also appeared in television shows such as Bunheads, Younger, and Sesame Street. She is known for her energetic and charismatic performances, as well as her bright and expressive voice.

Foster was born in Statesboro, Georgia, and raised in Troy, Michigan. She began taking dance lessons at age four, and landed her first starring role in a community theatre production of Annie at age ten. She went on to appear in several other local productions, and at age 15, she auditioned for the reality competition show Star Search. Foster made it to the finals of the show, and her appearance helped to launch her career.

After graduating from high school, Foster joined the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies, directed by Tommy Tune. She then attended Carnegie Mellon University for one year, but left to pursue a full-time career in theater. Foster made her Broadway debut in 1996 in the musical Grease!.

In addition to her work on stage, Foster has also released two solo albums, Wish and An Evening With Sutton Foster: Live at the Cafe Carlyle. She has also appeared in several films, including Shrek the Musical and Anything Goes.
