Melissa Barrera makes her Broadway debut as Rose in the hit comedy Titanique at the St. James Theatre. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied musical theater, Barrera built her early stage career in Mexico City, starring in Spanish-language productions of Spring Awakening, Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar, and Young Frankenstein.
Born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, she first gained international attention starring as Vanessa in Jon M. Chu's film adaptation of In the Heights. Her screen credits also include the Scream franchise, Carmen, and the Starz series Vida. On Broadway, she brings her dual background in musical theater and film to one of the season's most celebrated productions.
