Paul Wontorek is an American theater personality, journalist, host, and the Editor-in-Chief of Broadway.com. He is known for his coverage of the Broadway scene for over 30 years, and his work has been featured in a variety of publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Associated Press.
Wontorek began his career as a freelance reporter for InTheater Magazine and Entertainment Weekly. He also worked as a stage manager on small musical theater productions in New York and was contracted for design work for various cast albums. In 2000, he joined Broadway.com as the founding editor-in-chief. Under his leadership, Broadway.com has become the leading website for Broadway news, reviews, and features.
Wontorek is also the host of the nationally-syndicated weekly entertainment program THE BROADWAY SHOW WITH TAMSEN FADAL. He has received a total of 18 Emmy nominations as producer, director, writer and host, and won two, as producer of "Broadway Profiles with Tamsen Fadal" in 2021 and as writer for the CBS Tony Awards special "At the Tonys" in 2018.
