Harvey Schmidt (1929-2018) was an American composer for musical theatre and illustrator, best known for composing the music for the longest-running musical in history, The Fantasticks. He collaborated with lyricist Tom Jones throughout his career, producing other notable musicals like 110 in the Shade and I Do! I Do!
