Kevin Michael McHale is best known for his role as Artie Abrams in the Fox musical comedy-drama series Glee. Born in Plano, Texas, his entertainment career began as one of the two lead vocalists of the boy band NLT ("Not Like Them"). After the band split in 2009, McHale landed the part of Artie, a guitar-playing student in a wheelchair, which earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble cast.
Following his time on Glee, McHale has continued to act and sing, appearing in television projects like When We Rise and American Horror Stories. He released his debut solo EP in 2019 and later competed on the British version of The X Factor: Celebrity. Along with his former Glee co-star Jenna Ushkowitz, he co-hosts a podcast titled "And That's What You Really Missed," where they recap episodes of the popular show.
